So I was born male and for all of my life was raised as one but for the past few years I felt like an imposter in my own body and felt like I was supposed to be a girl. The main issue is I have no clue how to tell this to my mother and am kinda afraid of how she’ll respond. I don’t think she is transphobic and definitely isn’t homophobic but it’s just so nerve wracking to even bring it up to her

Hi, I had the same problem, telling parents this can be tough, but you have to hope and be strong and say to yourself that, "my mom will always love me, even if Im gay, trans etc!" If you need more advice dm me.

I think your first step should be to establish whether your mom is transphobic or not. Test it out in conversations, bring up trans-related topics and such to see her reaction.
