The best thing you and your friend can do honestly is to block her, Ignore and report what she said. Trying to confront her seems to be exactly the reaction she wants. Bullies like this only do it to get under your skin. You can't change someone they have to want to change for themselves. I wouldn't also call this person a friend if they are toxic and transphobic.
