Why are you scared to see a professional?
@fair dove even if you are scared, it’s always best to see a professional if you are concerned
@fair dove Going to copy what we said to someone else: seeking out a diagnosis is not necessarily a good idea. Sometimes medical professionals will try to put you on drugs to solve the "psychosis", sometimes they'll try to push y'all to fuse, lots of psys even nowadays are trained on outdated knowledge and think DID is fake, and depending on what country you live in and its medical privacy, you may end up having a harder time finding work or such if you have such a medical record. Rather than seeking a diagnosis, what I'd personally recommend if you think you're any kind of plural is that you find either a therapist (not a psychiatrist!) who specializes in helping systems or a trustworthy and knowledgeable system, and they help you find who's there and get along. Stuff like setting up a way to communicate with one another, to check one another at regular intervals, to see shifts in the system coming, to take everybody's needs and wants into account, to decide how the body presents if you have differing genders/species, that kind of thing. There can be conflict especially at first, it is best solved with earnest, reliable kindness towards one another. You live in the same brain and you are all there for a reason, so please try to get along. Also, the initial stages of syscovery can be quite chaotic! It's common to find many members who have been hiding for years or who finally feel free to fully form now that you do recognize them as people. It's a trip and a half but it's all worth it, I promise. ❤️
Adding on: diagnosed forms of plurality are the disordered forms of plurality, they're not the only ones! Plurality as a whole is a model you can adopt for yourself/ves if you find it useful to you, and very much a spectrum as well. There is no being "plural enough", there's just whether you think it's useful. Our DMs are open if you want help figuring things out.
thank you everyone , its been a bit hard for me to really understand anything
