I volunteer for a 988 crisis center. Recently I’ve heard about Trump’s proposed budget which would cut funding for 988’s lgbtq youth services.
I can read between the lines and see the veiled threat in that proposal, so I understand how scary it is to read about that on the news even if you don’t use those services.
So regardless of what happens with that proposed budget, I’m going to extend an open invitation to anyone on this server who reads this that you can DM me if you need someone to talk to.
If you’re in an immediate mental health crisis (suicide or self harm), then you should definitely go through 988 instead, but for anything else I’m all ears.
