#"A Room Without Echo"

I sleep in a bed too big for one,
Chasing warmth in blankets that lie.
My arms forget the weight of love—
Just silence answering every sigh.

I whisper secrets to the dark,
But it never learns my name.
The stars blink out, indifferent,
And morning always feels the same.

No fingers trace the edge of mine,
No breath against my skin.
My soul forgets the shape of touch,
The place where closeness should begin.

I watch the world in pairs and threes,
While I remain unseen—
A shadow passing through the noise,
Too quiet to convene.

I fear that fate misplaced my thread,
Or left me in the seam.
That "someday" is a cruel myth,
A soft and shattered dream.

And so I drift through empty days,
With nothing but the ache—
For hands that hold, for hearts that stay,
For something real to wake.

Whatever it is, it’s a beautiful piece of writing.
