So im trying to keep this short; Everyday i have thoughts of suicide and want to go to the mental hospital. The only thing holding me back is school because i dont want to get loss of credit. Im planning to go in June but im scared because its going to be my first time. Anyone who has gone lmk how the environment is and how the people are because im a very anti social person.
im 41🔄
sorry if its hard to understand my minds kinda empty rn

This is my third time typing this. Sorry if it seems a bit irritable. Im a year younger than you and ive been 4 times to 3 different hospitals. I think they're very good if you need it. Some of the staff are annoying but most are quite friendly. Ive heard plenty of rumors about weird and gross things. But ive never experienced staff like such. The base rules are simple. Dont break them and you wont be put into weird and uncomfortable situations. The secondary rules are actually kind of hard depending on how good your self care is. You keep up good with the secondary rules and you get out. Its kinda like an escape room as much as i hate to describe it as such. Theres a lot depending on where you go. I can explain more if you'd like, my dms are always open :)
Thank you, I just wanted a basic rundown of how it is because a friend of mine went and said there was lots of drug users and since I don't do drugs I wouldn't want to stand out while i'm there.
U can just hide in your room for the majority of the time bc they dont always need you out and doing stuff. And even then you aren't required to interact with them
That's good to know since i'm a very anti-social person and belittle myself a lot when it comes to other people.
They may encourage it 1 or twice but i dont think they can force it. Everything ive said really depends on where u go lol
There's a couple in my city and the one my friend went to is the one they recommended me to go to so that was her experience. Were you Inpantient or outpatient?
Inpatient all 4 times💪
Did you sleep in a room? or how was the living conditions?
I mean i did excessive online outpatient but i dont think that counts
So in most the places i went to it was a bathroom with a curtain door and i had a roomate. But the last one i went to was really nice and had a small amount of patients so i got my own room. And in most the places i went to they had a very strict policy on not rearranging anything in the rooms. Although the last one i went to, the rooms were meant for two people so i was able to connect the two mattress on the floor for myself. And they typically let you have atleast 2-3 personal items such as bedding. Although they have to be checked so you probably wont have it for the first day. And some places let you have your own clothing as long as it would fit the dress code. Which is practically the same as a school except you can wear pajamas
The showers suck
bring your own shampoo and conditioner if you want your hair to look decent
Its like trying to shower with a low power hose
sounds just like mexico
but that doesn't sound so bad if they roommate isn't bad. rn i'm just worried abt school so that's why I haven't gone but I
i'm planning to go in the summer
Schools tend to give you excuses for it
yea but i've been absent enough already due to my mental health and my friend didn't get excused cause she went for months
Eek
😔
if you have thoughts of suicide and still worry about your school credit imma be honest i dont think you want to end it all you just want something to fill the hole inside you and suicide is not it trust me
