my friend( were gonna call him T) is a gay furry who wants to transition MTF has many mental illnesses including depression autism adhd anxiety etc. He self harms and lives in an abusive home, his mother shaved his head because she found out he wanted to transition and grow out his hair. in janurary one day he stopped showing up too school and wasn't texting anyone. a month ater he shows up at school and tells us he was in a mental hospita for attempted suicide triggered by his grandfather. ( i don't know the emtire story but basicllly his grandfather handed him a unloaded gun and told him to shoot himself and he tried.) We knew he was suicdal before this so we figured his reasoning for not showing up to school was along the lines of that and so we were very relived to see him back at school. the next day, feburary 20 smthn, i get into the school at 7:30am and he runs up to me and hugs me like it would be our last. (little did i know..) i sit down at the table and everyone seems distraught. my oter friend wh was sitting across from me texts me telling me that T said he planned on commiting suicide after school and he had notes written in his backpack. the bell rings. i get to class and can't stop crying so i go to the counclers office and tel them everything. at around 10:15am the school is put on lockdown. i get a text from my boyfriend saying he just watchted T get taken out of the school in handcuffs. he was arrested for bringing a gun too school. he planned on shooting himself after school on his walk home, but he had said he changed his mind after seeing me so distraught going to the counclers office. people in my community call him a monster for endangering their children by bringing a gun to school grounds (they didn't know his intentions were purely to harm himself). Hes been in juvinile detention center since then. CONTINUED IN THE COMMENTS IM OUT OF CHARACTERS!!!

(CONTINUED) Weve been sending letters back and forth since then and its may now. his mom texted me the other week saying he moved facilities and she doesn't know where. she has a tendency to lie to me because she thinks im a bad influence being bisexual and a furry and a supporter of his desion to transition. shes made many attempts to keep me from sending him letters and shes told him that one day we'll stop caring as well as telling him hes faking his mental issues for attention. anyways i haven't gotten any letters since then and hes usualy very quick to respond. now im left to wonder if his letters got lost in the mail or if hes dead...

That sounds horrible and im sorry this is happening to you, i wish you the best of luck moving forward in contacting her, most importantly though you shouldn't beat yourself up about this, i'm sure where ever she is your friend is hoping that you're faring well. So sorry I can't offer more advice, just make sure to watch out for yourself even if it's by something as small as keeping a diary or drinking more water
