Everyones beliefs are different of course, but what they are doing is very toxic pretty much pressuring their religion on you and shaming you, they aren't acting like friends at all and I think you should let them know its upsetting you. In my opinion it isn't, but I can't speak for all, but if being friends with those people or being religious is hurting you, then you should space yourself from both, be true to yourself and do and be what makes YOU happy, not about others beliefs <3
Nope! Looked it up yesterday and the bible never ever mentions it from what we saw
as someone forced into religion, there is some mentions of men and men laying together ect being disgusting ect, but people are pretty sure it isnt about homosexuality sense it isn't said directly, but most religious people read it that way sadly.
Yeah thats what the thing said, but the man was already married too
Even eating pork was considered bad though
yes its not even realistic
"females must submit to men/their husbands"
Yeah no lol
No clue why anyone uses that book for moral advice
Just adding onto that, the original texts state "Man may not lay with boy" insinuating that it's saying no pedophilia. The newer texts have warped the older ones a lot.
yes, but there is also a spot in the bible (if not mistaken) where it says something about man laying with man not just boy though I wont quote because I am unsure
I think there is yes but an important thing to keep in mind is that the current bible is one that was translated only a small amt of time ago from Hebrew, that bible also being translated from an even older language i believe, from what i've heard its actually a mistranslation, the original actually meaning man must not lay with boy (no pedophilia yaye)
oopss sorry didn't see this reply 😭
More important than that though is that rather than basing your beliefs from what those around you say i believe you should develop your own beliefs of the world from what you see yourself, especially with how the politics in America have used people of your faith and warped said faith for their own means.
In the first place Jesus did day to love thy neighbour as oneself and loved humanity so much (and believed that much in our future) that he took the weight of our sins for us. (and naturally we are also included in that number, no?)
