I'm non - binary and i just can't think of a way to just walk up to people and tell them (ISTG if anyone tells me i can just tell them without anything else said...)

Try bringing it up in a conversation, maybe ask a question and try to gauge their reaction from their reply? It can be hard at first but you'll be able to do it eventually <3

Yeah, that's the difficult part. Unfortunately there's not much you can do about it unless you could try talking to each person alone? Often people's reactions are influenced by those around them so maybe they might be more serious about it if you were alone with them?
