What leads you to do that? If you don't mind me asking
[TW: SH] Relapsed again
My parents yelling at me, sometimes hitting me
Btw sorry for not answering earlier
I totally understand relapsing. Just remind yourself of why you were able to quit self harming. There is always a better coping mechanism that does not leave permanent scars or hurts your body.
I can suggest some if you like.
Please suggest me some
When I was trying to get off of SH, I used to use ice cubes on my arms to stimulate them in a different sense of pain.
Pinching yourself can also help with genuinely bringing yourself back into the moment.
Maybe a little more
of a universal coping mechanism, but square breathing, reminding yourself why you don’t want to carry out the self harm action, and maybe listening to music or something else you enjoy are always great options too.
Remember that you are stronger than your thoughts and a thought doesn’t equal an action. Thinking of self harming is stressful and hard to get out of your head, but it is possible to just let it be a thought.
Thanks for the suggestions, it really would helped me. Thank you again
