Ok I will try to explain myself more clearly.
I have been on Turalyon forever, and it has a total of 6000 players of which 3000 are Alliance as seen in wowprogress.com. I find this population low because the world is emptier than a year ago. I have problems with finding a custom group for anything and so on. So I checked for the highest population Alliance realm, and found Silvermoon with 22500 players. I opened a character there, played for a week but I still have problems with finding a group compared to a year ago. Then I realized groups are cross realm and had nothing to do with Turalyon.
So I thought to myself, what is the difference between Turalyon and Silvermoon then? At least I have a long term guild in Turalyon, maybe I should go back. But all my real life friends said to me play on the highest population realm for whatever reason.
This is why I'm confused.
Yea there is no reason to change servers. A large server may seem more full due to comradeship among the same server as in people feel closer to people with on the same server. But as for finding people to play with it's the same everywhere. If you already have friends and a guild stay where you are.
