Guys could you give me pvp tips? I'm playing a shadow priest sparring my friend which is a fury warrior, me 25 hes 28, we;ve battle a few times and I always seem to be losing, just trying to think how can I win against him but he has so much CC and even tho I have quite a few spell vamp skills and a 62% spell vamp skill with a 50% duration it doesnt feel like im healing much at all o.o he out sustains me by far

Shadowlands content on live is inaccessible until Blizzard flips a switch on the 23rd/24th. You can still play the old content with a trial to level 20, or up to 50 with a subscription / game time

Raids are on a weekly lockout.

Every Tuesday (For US players) or Wednesday (For EU players), the raid resets and you can kill the bosses all over again for loot.

#

I am unfortunately not aware of which days are reset days in other regions.

@ebon jasper If you logged in for the first few days of the prepatch, they may have unlocked Chromie for you by accident. As far as I know, the only option for remaining accounts is to reach level 50. So I'm afraid your friend will need to level their first character in a BFA zone.

@ebon jasper An alternative theory I've heard that you might want to try is to first level one character through Exile's Reach until you get the achievement for completing the tutorial, and then discarding that character. Perhaps this could unlock Chromie on other existing and/or future characters.

@fleet matrix This could be because of sharding (the server is too crowded) or phasing (one of you completed a quest that stops then from seeing the other). Invite your friend to your group. This should resolve the sharding issue. If you see a blueish dot by their name next to their portrait, then it's a phasing issue.

All new players until they have a level 50 are pigeonholed into doing BFA expansions story first

You've somehow lost your way and ended up in swamp of sorrows zone if you have those quests

#

You can still do them if you selected the cataclysm story from the npc

#

But until you have one level 50 you cant do that

#

So,return to stormwind and take the portal to boralus and do the quests there

#

If the portal is missing,do the tides of war quest i see in your screenshot

@heady viper It's a building in grassy area on the north Eastern part of the city. If you have a quest available here, there should be an exclamation mark on the map. You also need to do it on Alliance character who is at least level 45.

Can anyone explain how the party sync works? My bro is on a lvl 30 questing in Gorgrond, I am on a lvl 40 (old toon) selected WOD from chromie and we hit party sync but it pauses all his quests

@cobalt flint this is from yesterday, When I click the map. It opens up but NOTHING. Like at all... I have no idea why its not giving me any quest or anything to click. Im lvl 21-22 I think and Im not far into kul tiras. This is the first time Ive had to interact with this useless map and its just completely halted the questline with 0 explanation. I have no clue what im supposed to do with a supposed quest giving icon that doesnt give any quests at all. Im playing vannila wow. @raven inlet You need to be at least level 25 for the map to let you into Drustvar. If you are level 21-22, then I assume you interacted with it already around level 11 when you started the Tiragarde Sound questline. For some reason you were led there before it's time.

Anyway, you should now continue on with the main Tiragarde Sound questline, or do some side quests in the zone. First, let's check the first possibility. Open the map of Tiragarde Sound (with the M key, not the one on the wall). Make sure it's the map of the entire zone, not just Boralus. Then look for exclamation marks on the map. There is also a box showing you the zone story progress (not the blue one, the one a bit lower). Hover over it to see if you are missing any chapters.

all new players get pigeonholed into the bfa expansion because you need the lore from there to understand some things in the next expansion(shadowlands),you can always go back and play the previous expansions stories

@forest rune As a new player, focus on leveling 1-10 in Exile's Reach, then 10-50 in either Kul Tiras (Alliance) or Zandalar (Horde). As you quest and level in those areas, you'll become acquainted with the current lore and playstyle as you learn your class and specialization. Once you reach level 50, you can wrap up the BfA end game campaigns while doing world quests, daily emissaries, dungeons, and whatnot to acquire gear. Once you're comfortable with that, take advantage of the current prepatch Death's Rising event to both get ready for the approaching story of the upcoming Shadowlands expansion while getting "catch-up gear" to make sure you're not weak as wet noodles

He respawns eventually, but I think he might have a relatively long respawn-timer, given that he's out of the way, nowhere near any mobs you have any reason to kill.
Maybe 10-20 minutes tops.

Heey 🙂 I just started playing about a month ago. I love the game but it is so huge that i think i may be doing something wrong. I play as a blood elf mage. i started with arcane but switched to frost. I have done quite a lot of quests and now i am lvl 50. i came to a point that it is impossible to finish quests. i am just doing some campaign quests(orange ?) and i can hardly kill NPC when there is only 1. If i accidentally pull 2 i die 100%. My gear is lvl 55. Am i doing something wrong because i don't think quests should be this hard to play. It's really getting uncomfortable getting killed by every 3rd NPC.

Quests like the ones you showed are so-called breadcrumb quests, they guide you to another place where you can do more quests

The quests in your quest log are your actual quests
Those are the main progression of the story, and also how you level

The World Quests, as shown on Melvin's screenshot above are Max level only and don't progress the story at all.

They're filler content, just meant to give you rewards and nothing else.

If the quest has a "?" instead of a number, it means you've completed it
Some quests are already completed when they are picked up and they just take you to the quest completion NPC, usually to another quest hub, where you pick up more quests.

Right, certain quests progress the story, others don't.
Currently, there's nothing in-game to help you tell them apart.

There will be a way in the Shadowlands, which releases really soon.

Best thing you can do is make educated guesses currently, based on what NPCs give you the quests.

If the Quest is given to you by a major NPC you're following around, it's probably a main quest.

The idea behind it was to let you buy all previous expansions in one go, but all except the newest one right now are available with just a subscription.
The only thing you need to buy is Shadowlands, and even if you do, it gives you basically nothing new until you're already level 50.

If you're looking for an advantage, you should go for pets with a Dispel or Healing Reduction, as those mechanics are otherwise unavailable to hunters.

But they don't do more DPS or anything, so go nuts! It's mostly just an aesthetic choice.

But if you head to Mount Neverest in Kun-Lai, there should be Black ones there you can tame.

You can meet General Jes-Tereth in Stormwind Keep to pick "The King's Command"
That quest will get you to Pandaria.

I don't recommend levelling in Pandaria before you have a max level character, but if you're just after a Cloud Serpent, it should be enough.
