First you need to complete the quests required for the "Nightfallen but not forgotten" achievement. After that you require to complete some storylines from the "Good Suramaritan" achievement. After completing these storylines you'll be able to start the "Insurrection" storyline.
The Good Suramaritan storylines you need to do are: "The Waning Crescent", "Blood and Wine", "Statecraft", "A Growing Crisis" and "A Change of Seasons". (You'll also need "An Ancient Gift", but that's the same storyline as "The Light Below" from "Nightfallen but not forgotten").

Question regarding Chromie Time. I'm currently level 31, but gonna grind and explore till level 50. I was going to start a new character once I hit level 50 and go immediately into Chromie to play through the other areas. Am I able to "time hop" between expansions once I hit the area level cap and explore the next expansion?

It'll scale with you, so you won't need to hop around unless you get bored and wanna go somewhere else - that's the point of Chromie time.
However, yes, if you want to change your expac choice you can go to Chromie at any time and do so.

If you want to do them all but scaled to you, I recommend stopping your exp at level 49 through one of the NPCs -
Players can choose to stop gaining XP. That's right. An NPC (located in the Stormwind or Orgrimmar battlerooms, for horde: Slahtz, for alliance: Behsten ) will on request stop your XP. This will cost 10 gold to disable, and 10 gold to enable again.
and then you can progress through the expacs in whole as you please

I recommend doing them in order based on how Chromie would present them. Now, Cataclysm will be the most involved, because it includes all of the 'Old World' quests along with the Cata expac zones

You should be getting level appropriate gear as you turn in quests. Make sure you're equipping them as you go. I like to assign one of my bags to Equipment so that gear is easier to keep localized to find it faster.

@maiden oasis I fact the way how scaling works is that as you level up you get weaker - since all enemies level up with you. and what keeps increasing your power is simply what you loot on the way. So only once you're at level cap and stop leveling you actually start getting significantly stronger compared to enemies.

You're also not actually tied to the one you pick too. I picked wod, established my garrison and got my garrison hearth, switched to mist of pandaria time for better instance rewards, then kept questing in wod content

Artisan has since been removed, just have to save up and get Master when you have enough. If you get the tabard of your main city - Stormwind or Orgrimmar - you can gain rep through dungeons and the price will become steadily cheaper as you rank up your reputation

Hey! Since a few weeks I have had the problem that my Beast Mastery pets no longer receive any damage. Respawning has not solved the problem either. Does anyone know what I can do about it, because this way the game is somehow hardly fun anymore. I am practically no longer exposed to any risk :D

The weapons that are available can already be gotten but the armor is an older BfA set so those will come for 12 Honor Marks a set when the vendor shows up

The Horde one is in the big.... warbuilding thing idk it's by the Brawler's arena and also has a bunch of class trainers hanging out.
