using whichever cooldown will help you more at the time. So if a boss is about to do a big hit, use defensive cooldowns, if you have time to deal a lot of damage, use offensive cooldowns

basically if a fight is going to last longer than 10 seconds, you want to be using your cooldowns as much as possible. Costs nothing to use, can make fights go easier for everyone

There are options to put buffs in or out of the player bars in both of those.

I don't know the options for ElvUI, but I am sure they are there too.

Those buttons next to the players are available cooldowns. Not sure what is showing those.

No, vuhdo is generally used by healers because of easy click setup and things.

It can be used by anyone at any amount of play, pvp included.

I have seen similar showing addons for the cooldowns by some of the top end dungeon runners.

I still am not sure what addon they are using for that.

I can't really help much more then I already have. I built my own ElvUI, it took me 6 hours to get a basic setup and I have been tweaking it for all of BfA since in order to get it where it is now. I am at close to 12-15 hours of development on this thing. I want to make some other changes for SL coming up. @sturdy needle If you are a goblin or a worgen, you must do all the starter zone quests to get out. If a tauren, you technically can use a zeppelin, but it makes sense to do the Mulgore questline to the end to get a faster wyvern flight. In the past all characters started with a flight point to Orgrimmar unlocked, but this is currently not the case.

If a blood elf, you need to go to the king's palace in Silvermoon. There, you can find a portal to Orgrimmar in one room to the side, and an Orb of Translocation in the room behind the throne that will take you above Undercity.

If a draenei, you can find the pier on the west coast of Azuremyst Isle, just outside the southern exit from Exodar.

With the changes to the level scaling, you don't need to change zones if you want to continue with the story, except at levels 60, 80, 90, 100, and 110.

@turbid knoll Make a starter account, play for free up to level 20. You can try as many different characters as you want for as long as you want.

If you want more, then buy a subscription or some game time. No additional purchases needed at that point. This allows you to play up to level 110 on "retail" servers or on the classic servers.

At that point you have a couple of options. You can buy BFA expansion to be able to reach the maximum level of 120, but it is going to become included in the base subscription or game time later this year, so you are potentially risking not getting much value out of your purchase. Alternatively, you take a break until it does become free or otherwise stick to the base game or classic.

The Shadowlands expansion is a preorder, there are only some cosmetic stuff you get if you purchase now. But if you decide to stick around after it releases, it's recommended to always have the newest expansion available at the time to be able to find people to play with.

@pallid fulcrum RAM is not the same thing as storage. A typical computer has about 8 or 16GB of RAM. A high-end laptop might have 32GB at most. RAM is used by computers as a short-term memory, where it holds the things it has loaded. If you want to add 120GB of something, then you are most likely adding storage. Storage is where you keep your files saved. You gonna need at least 8GB of RAM and around 100GB of available storage space.

Your machine is indeed rather low-end, and I'm not entirely sure how it will fare, especially in raids. At the very least, you might be able to do some solo content if you use the lowest settings. But turn the water quality up a little when you are fishing, otherwise you will have problems spotting schools of fish.

@pallid fulcrum I'm not sure what you mean by "usable" here, but I was referring to total RAM installed in your system. Windows is capable of freeing up some less important portions of memory when you really need it that it would use when idle.

But I've got some good news for you: RAM can also be upgraded in some laptops (including Aspire 5). Consult your computer shop to help you choose the right one. You are probably looking for another 4GB stick of DDR4 memory for laptops to add next to the one you already use.

Ordinarily planning or moving my mouse about moves the on screen cursor, but I seem to have botched a setting somewhere and now mouse movement just changes the camera angle. Fairly new player to WoW getting bit frustrated, I started my first character yesterday and I am already level 85 (thank you pandemic for keeping me home) with also the exp boost everyone has apparently. Not sure if this is the place for this, but I am having an issue in-game.
It seems that each time I press a directional button on my keyboard and move my mouse (without clicking) my camera moves with the direction with my mouse. Anyone having or has had this issue before?

Okay, perhaps my last explanation was failing. When running by holding down “w” or whatever key you have bound, moving your cursor doesn’t cause the camera to pan or tilt, but just moves the hand cursor on screen, right? So I’ve botched some wow setting and now the camera is tracking mouse/cursor movement.

The artifacts were a Legion mechanic. At the end of Legion, they were shut off. You can add relics to them for ilvl, but you can no longer add power to them

@elder aurora Does his game randomly freezes for a couple of seconds? If so, then it might be a problem that was introduced with latest patch that was released last night (8.3.7). Tell him to switch to DX11 Legacy mode. To do so go to Settings > Advanced > set Graphics API to DirectX 11 Legacy. If it's just a FPS loss, then lower overall settings should help
