Visions of N'zoth has been out for a little over a week now, time in which players have been able to unlock the full potential and play cycle of the patch. In order to help players to optimize their time in-game and make the most of it, we prepared a list of our most recommended addons for Patch 8.3, Visions of N'zoth.
We're back again with another lore spotlight with Nobbel87! Last week we covered the story of Patch 8.3, and now with the new raid opening, we have the story of Ny'alotha. Read about the lore behind every boss and of course, some thoughts on the N'Zoth ending.
On January 28th (NA) and January 29th (EU), the first Season 4 Mythic+ and PvP Weekly Chests will become available, offering item level 475 gear at the upper end. These chests are special in Season 4, as they will always drop a piece of Corrupted Gear, unless your Weekly Chest contains a Trinket as Trinkets cannot Corrupt.
It's Mythic Week in Season 4 of Battle for Azeroth with the first Season 4 Corrupted Weekly Chests becoming available, Mythic Ny'alotha and a new Legendary Cloak rank! In addition, the Rank 2 reputation Essence will now be available, end-of-dungeon and end-of-PvP rewards will be increased to Item Level 465 and the WoD Timewalking quest should be awarding Heroic raid gear!
Blizzard has updated their Mythic+ and PvP Loot tables on the Support site for Season 4 and there have been some new changes to Item Levels in Season 4. At the end of Day 2 of Mythic Ny'alotha, the bosses are getting tougher and the competition is heating up with Ra-den and Drest'agath being taken down today. Some trouble was had after some live hotfixes were applied to Ra-den but Complexity Limit rose to the occasion and claimed two new World First bosses ending the day at 9/12 Mythic.

Why is Mythic N'Zoth so difficult? Mythic N'Zoth has proven to be a challenging end boss with complex mechanics, high raid damage and a fight where Immunities shine. We wanted to analyze the Mythic N'Zoth encounter and explain the many challenges of this boss to try to explain why Mythic N'zoth is so challenging.
Do you have the Humming Black Dragonscale trinket from Wrathion? Have you died to it because you got knocked back and flew way to far because of the slow fall effect? Another hotfix has changed the trinket to make the slow fall portion on use, preventing those unfortunate, hilarious deaths from happening to characters.

Speedrunning is a competitive meta which has gripped the gaming world for decades. Seeing who can complete a game or objective within a game the fastest is a source of great pride and competition for many players, as it displays mastery over the game, personal skill, and coordination, particularly when groups of players are involved. World of Warcraft Classic is one of many games in which players compete with one another. With Phase 3 right around the corner, we're taking a moment to congratulate the World's Fastest clear of Molten Core and look at changes coming with Blackwing Lair.
Blackwing Lair is right around the corner, and with the new raid instance comes the availability of several new items which aren't just Best in Slot for various classes, but offer advantages beyond Phase 3. Although there are many highly sought after items in the new raid and everyone has updated BiS lists, some of the gear drops stand out more than others, capable of lasting well into Naxxramas or even the rest of Classic WoW.
With the arrival of Phase 3 for Classic WoW, we'd like to highlight our Best in Slot pages for our Class Guides, now updated for Blackwing Lair and Darkmoon Faire! Blackwing Lair contains major upgrades for all specs in Classic, including iconic items like Ashkandi, Greatsword of the Brotherhood, Dragonbreath Hand Cannon , and Chromatically Tempered Sword, besides the addition of the remaining pieces from the Tier 2 Item Sets.
With Blackwing Lair opening just a single hour ago, we've already seen a Classic World First from <Calamity> of Mograine-EU, defeating Nefarian and clearing the highly anticipated raid in 40 minutes and 23 seconds! They were followed very closely by <Progress> and <APES>, two other well known racing guilds. Formed as a merge of several high end Classic guilds, Calamity also claimed World's Fifth Fastest in Molten Core, clearing the Phase 1 raid in 24 minutes and 33 seconds, just over a minute behind than the fastest clear.

As we head further into 8.3, choosing a class to play will be important as you begin farming all the new content in order to PvP more successfully. There are a large number of specializations that are phenomenal in arenas - some being weaker yet viable, then very few that arenโt really worth playing. With that in mind, itโs important to choose the right class that works well for you in order to have a better gaming experience!
It's been a while since we've done a retail Addon Spotlight, but we have a special case today. In these articles, we try to highlight new, interesting, or otherwise helpful addons to ensure the best experience for players, and Corruption Tooltips is the best kind of addon - one that adds a helpful feature without any setup or management on your part!
The +12 Corruption version of the Ineffable Truth effect (new Tier 1), can now roll as a Corruption effect according to today's hotfixes. In Horrific Visions, 5 different colored potions can be found scattered across the zones. You're able to click these potions but the color and their related effects are randomized every time you step into a Horrific Vision. However, there is a way to determine which is the 'Bad' potion in the Horrific Vision of Orgrimmar, so you can click the remaining potions without fear of hitting it.

Immunities haven't been a significant part of Mythic Raiding since Tomb of Sargeras and Antorus. However, they have returned in Mythic Ny'alotha as an important composition requirement for the Ra-den and N'Zoth encounters. A massive 10 immunities is required for the standard Mythic N'Zoth strategy -- that's half of your Mythic raid that needs an immunity!

This week, upgrading the Cloak will provide you with the final upgrade to Sanity Protection in Horrific Visions and awarding you the achievement Unwavering Resolve, which means that the Black Serpent of N'Zoth is now available if you've completed the rest of the meta achievement.
The recently added Echoes of Ny'alotha currency has caused a bug which prevents players from turning in the Unshackled Emissary quest today, leading Blizzard to remove the extra currency reward in order to restore functionality. No word yet on whether this is permanent, though it would stand to reason that it is likely a temporary solution until a proper fix is found.
Blizzard has addressed bugs rewarding Echoes of Ny'alotha from Emissary quests. As part of this fix, bonus reputation rewards from contracts are removed.
Due to the extraordinary times we find ourselves in, with many players around the world practicing self-isolation thanks to COVID-19, Blizzard has added a 100% experience buff to retail World of Warcraft.
Blizzard has made an update to the Echoes of Ny'alotha system, removing the restrictions from purchasing role-specific Azerite Essences from Echoes of Ny'alotha. In Battle for Azeroth, Blizzard removed Tier Sets, instead introducing Azerite Armor and making gear transmogs that are themed around the Season. With the recent massive list of spell changes coming in Shadowlands, one easily overlooked but very important change is that many AoE abilities are being capped between 5 and 8 targets, seemingly intended to cut back on using cooldowns to burst down inordinately large pulls in Mythic+ dungeons and raids.
Within the spell changes for Shadowlands Alpha, we found out that some Profession Drums ( Drums of Fury and Drums of Rage) including the new Drums of Deathly Ferocity are being nerfed compared to their BFA versions. BFA Drums provide a replacement for Bloodlust/ Heroism but only provide 25% Haste instead of 30%. In Shadowlands, they provide 15% Haste instead.
With the recent datamining of Shadowlands, we've scoured our database and have found the specifics about the upcoming Shadowlands Covenant abilities including their cooldown, duration, percentages and other effects. There are even some Covenant abilities which didn't make it into the Official Blizzard Preview!
Blizzard has posted an official note about BlizzCon 2020 on its website, explaining the current situation. With the Shadowlands Alpha having just gone live, we're already finding new things to highlight! There are new quest markers which add the functionality of the popular addon TomTom, pointing you in the direction of quest objectives, and map pins, which can be placed on the map and even shared amongst your party.
One of the main questions people have with the upcoming level squish in Shadowlands is when you will be able to fly on your alts. We just discovered that mounting is unlocked when creating your character and flying is unlocked at level 25!
We've found some spells that modify the Covenant abilities in powerful ways including cooldown reduction, increased damage, survivability and unique class-specific effects! Unfortunately, we already completely sure of the origin of these upgrades and they could be out of date, only usable in Torghast, on Legendaries or part of the Soulbinds system.
We have created a soulbind calculator on Wowhead, so you can see what abilities you will access when soulbound to an NPC in your chosen covenant.

The second highest rank of riding on live, the 280% flight speed Artisan Riding, has been removed in the latest Shadowlands build. Along with the other leveling changes, this means characters will effectively skip the 280% movespeed training, saving a significant amount of gold in the process - a very nice quality of life change, especially considering the gap between Expert and Master Riding will only last 10 levels.

In a recent player discovery by Twitch streamer yesmasterx, Classic WoW fully supports wargames in Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin, and even Alterac Valley. The feature even supports Horde versus Horde and Alliance versus Alliance wargames. Back in February, the idea of the wargame and spectating matches functionality was speculated to be implemented on the PTR update, when new global strings were added to the game such as "BINDING_NAME_COMMENTATORFOLLOW_1_15". These strings are similar to the ones used in the Arena spectator mode for Retail's Arena tournaments.

With today's announcement of the upcoming Corruption Vendor, many players have expressed concerns over their inability to obtain any Echoes of Ny'alotha on their mains while others have tens of thousands of Echoes of Ny'alotha stored on their characters.
