Considering the content is only going to exist period for two weeks and what content is there is quite minimal (and considering the War of Thorns testing was also extremely short-lived on prepatch and turned out just fine), yes.
Less shooting themselves in the foot and more dedicating to it the time it needs and then focusing prepatch for other content.
I wish there were content for it though.

It's not. It's just not necessary by the looks of the current state of said content.
I also want prepatch released sooner but Blizz will release it when it's ready. The point of PTR is for testing, not the main game itself.
'They'll test it when it releases' is exactly the backwards dip thought process that gets us games like Destiny.

I think they're still worth it because they're cheap and the stats and effects are still super good while leveling and will definitely help you kill and complete quest faster therefore making you level faster

The bonuses are great. You basically get double XP for almost twice as long due to the set bonus.
Plus some big stat boosts each level (which come often).
With old heirlooms you'd only get 50% added XP when doing content.

It's more like 20 hours for your average player, but indeed! It's great for people who don't have the time to play all day-- and those who already do are free to spend said 8-20 hours leveling normally, as that is a ludicrously small amount of time to get to max level for an MMO anyways.

you got a set of traits at launch,then they expanded those traits further,then you got a new smaller set of traits in 7.2,and even more traits in 7.3
so the artifact was the only weapon you used throughout legion,but it did get progressively stronger

Im curious though. The way i was explained how the game works after SL was that when you level a new toon you then go to Chromie who sends you to the xpac of your choice to level. Now how will that affect professions? Like i have engineering in everything up to now but how does that work on a new toon?

Hello WoWheaders, big fan of the site and all the work 🙂 i saw something on PTR that has changed, but i cant find it anywhere in the datamining, very minor change but here goes: On Death knights Cruel Gladiator´s Dreadplate Chestpiece, the skull on the chest´s eyes now gloes blue, on live it does not, the other variants of that chestpiece has another colour aswell, cant remember the name now 🙂

I've found a comment on the page of the horde recolor of the set, and apparently "As of 8.0 this set appears to be bugged. The eyes on the various skulls no longer glow and the chest skull vanishes upon wearing a tabard.".
So maybe they fixed it in ptr?

The bonuses are great. You basically get double XP for almost twice as long due to the set bonus.
@tropic trail double only applies to roughly have the total xp though (kills, not quests, unless it's changed)
+100% on about half of base puts it around the same bonus as the current 50% heirlooms.
caveat being you park the alts to gather that rest
i don't remember how rest & heirlooms currently interact
