The current iteration of torghast caps at floor 6 (for the weekly stuff) and floor 18 for the winding corridors. You can't do these super crazy runs that you've seen from alpha footage anymore because it ends way too fast.
On top of that they changed the inventory of the merchants within torghast. They now always have some class specific powers to buy. Since every 3rd floor is a merchant floor you basically win the dungeon the moment you reach the merchant on floor 3, because you're guaranteed to buy an extremely powerful anima power or two.
The gameplay of the mode changed from "get more powerful slowly and take well-considered risks" to "get as much currency as possible before floor 3, buy all the powers, win the rest of the run".
Preach - as little as I tend to agree with him on most matters - even felt forced to make a video about it because too many of his followers asked him why the torghast they played in beta felt so extremely different from what he showed them in alpha.
