Personally I think rep should lay with your race. Each race then soft tied to a faction. You can choose to betray that faction but you're still a member of that race's society.

#

So factions built up like covenants, for example the druidic races all share a faction, the smithing/engineering races all share a faction. The tribal races share a faction etc.

I'm thinking new factions based on race relations. IE if you're a Nelf you start out hated with undead. Maybe a race can belong to multiple factions? So like orcs can be tribal or mechanical. Dwarves can be mechanical or natural, etc

Horde vs Alliance seems kind of outdated, yes and a lot of players cheered when a girl at Blizzcon asked whether it'd be possible to "play more together" BUT I think that Horde vs Alliance situation is now a very tight corset. No idea how they could achieve an easy smooth feeling change from those two opposite groups to factions.
For example: think about all the Horde/Alliance merchandise! 😅

It's kinda sad, that the player are open to that concept of working closer together (and yes some 15+ years of working side by side so often and still being too stupid to understand each others language even a BIT is strange) but I got the impression that Blizzard is afraid of letting go of that mentioned "tight outdated concept" and that may be because they.. ... ... okay, no idea why.

The best classes to solo will likely be the same classes that are good for cheesing group content (warlock for drain life, Demon Hunter for super leech, Paladin for 3 health bars, and Hunter for pet shenanigans )

I'd recommend against classes like Rogue and Mage since their fragile and don't have adaquete "cheese" strengths (rogue doesn't have any self sustain and low aoe, mages are super fragile, etc)

Tbh, I don’t think you’re right. Pure dps and health isn’t enough because of corruption and the insanities. I think you’ll see Blood DK and Brew at the top for solo, but I suspect nearly everyone to be doing small group

Though pet stuff might substitute some of that, and that is a valid point

The Warglaives was made a special case, being locked to DHs only (as it is currently), and all the other legendaries either locked to classes that can equip them, or for the Quest related ones, locked to classes that can do the quest for the legendary

The other best ones come from TEP or Conquest.
Conquest is easy enough to do, and can be done pretty passively just by opening cache drops with war mode on, and incursions with wm on.

If youre not too fussed or worried about essences, you can hold off until next Tues/Weds, cause the 8.3 intro one is going to be pretty good for feral too

nowadays I do play ptr more than live but that is for work purposes. I have seen some names repeatedly over the course of BFA PTR, though. I know there's a russian paladin that is always ganking people in Boralus or, in the 8.3 cycle, in Uldum.

they never really shut down PTR realms so in a way, it is a free way to play WoW, as you can access the PTR without a subscription.

I imagine the few people that do that can get quite bored though, as you can't do a lot of content and it gets (even more) deserted when the game is not in an active PTR cycle.
