So you’ll need at least one of the new ones

The nyalotha one is legit worthless if you have the essence but is a lifesaver for alts

Imagine only needing one dps having rank 3, then you farm the raid a bit and all the dps have a functional rank 3

#

Or for a specific boss, maybe one of your healers would benefit from using an essence they don’t have

#

It is situational but very powerful under those situations

At rank 12, the cloak will also gain a Draconic Empowerment passive, causing your spells and abilities to have a chance to massively increase your primary stat.

Once your Ashjra'kamas, Shroud of Resolve reaches rank 15, you can begin to acquire Malefic Cores, which increase your Corruption Resistance by 3, to a maximum of 125. You can acquire one Malefic Core per week across all sources, including defeating N’Zoth in Ny’alotha on Normal, Heroic, or Mythic difficulty or by completing all objectives within a Horrific Vision.

I still think changing the format to 2 factions you choose between would be a better system. (Not Horde/Alliance anymore except internally in their faction) Would still have factions and identity but now there is a choice behind the identity and would be something fresh rather than rehashing what theyve been doing (on and off temporary peace) for the past literal 20 years.
Getting rid of factions would indeed be silly, but switching them up; nah.
