Shadowlands just doesnt seem like the right name for an expansion. We know what it is, and its context but think of some one new. BC, ok so theres some crusade and fire. WotLK, theres a lich king and he is mad. Cata, something really bad happens. MoP, mist makes things mysterious and its on a place called pandaria? (mist had just discovering a lot of stories and mysteries about the past). WoD, some warlords on a place called draenor, warlords are typically bad people/barbaric people. Legion, a force soo massive you cant help but be overwhelmed? BfA is easy, some fight for a place... Then Shadowlands? a ... land made out of shadow? Players know its the land of the dead but outsiders don't have that context to give them proper info.
