they have nothing to do with old gods
again what is Bwonsamdi
the rest are strong spirits
there are no wild gods of death.
Presumably we will find out
Like Bwombadsi and Vol'jin obviously are not wild gods
bwonsamdi is a spirit too strong to be moved out of the material plane
but where did he come from
thats the other way loa are created
I'm sure Bwomsandi is collecting all these troll souls for a purely innocent reason
just, had a hard on for death huh
far beyond that of a normal mortal
its the same way that voljin might become a loa
loa are generally benevolent spirits
I mean, considering the fact that in BFA the trolls are getting an entire storyline based around a old god..
or neutral
and some trolls worshiping it
Blood trolls
just. just saying
Not all of them
I think it is impossible for Vol'jin to not become a Loa at this point
look, ive played through the story
The fuck has Vol'jin done since mop
loa are not minions of the old gods
they can be corrupted by the old gods
some have
now that's a interesting statement
As any being can
Honestly the entire storyline surrounding sylvanas just screams old god influence
all over it
Sylvanas has ALWAYS been like this, lol
the void screams that they hate her
She dies on saronite in wrath
and want to kill her in the comic
remember
the void is the same power of the old gods
the void lords hate eachother.
no they dont
you serious
what the fuck are you talking about?
the old gods enslaved the elemental lords
I just realized something
so they could fight eachother
old gods hate each other
the old gods wage war on eachother constantly
void lords dont
you think the void lords don't hate eachother?
It's never been stated that they do
they literally want to eradicate all existence, including other void lords and themselves.
So you can't say they do
no they dont
they hate pretty much everything
It's been stated the void wants to eradicate everything
You are as bad as Vris.
including themselves
well- now we're stuck on semantics
Sylvanas is like the only undead with red eyes. The eye color of an undead shows who their allegiances are. Vol'jin had a striking red gaze noticeable in his death scene and he serves the loa, troll gods of death. Why If Sylvanas is an agent of the loa?
do you know why they want to corrupt a titan?
are they alive
they want to corrupt a titan
so they can enter the material plane
and make everything void
OH MY GOD I CRACKED THE CODE
All undead elves have red eyes
Where is THAT stated
;-;
I cracked the code
and again- what the hell constitutes as "living"
Code = cracked
its the reason they created an old god
so the old gods want to make everything void
The loa probably know that undeath scares the void, and with Sylvanas as Warchief they may have a chance to win.
but they hate other old gods
When Gamma is trying to get someone's attention
whyyyy
I will accept my reward now
all of the old gods were created because void lords cant leave the voidd realm
void lords are not old gods
void lords created old gods
that doesn't answer the question
@tulip sun EXACTLY FAM
why would you make creations that war with eachother
isn't void just literal chaos
one parasite wants control
Omg
I mean, it is not rocket science, I don't see how people can still believe that old gods whispered to Vol'jin
Okay, guys, hold on.
You stop
everything you are saying is factually wrong
Code = super cracked
Can we step the fuck back
you're so stupid and wrong
And regroup
like oh my god
Grimm, you are just being toxic now.
can we just admit i'm right
I'm sorry, I liked my theory ;w;
Can we just fucking calm down
sarcasm or not
Piss off
I'm really sorry ;w;
I'm not arguing with someone who's just going to say "You're wrong and that's that"
You're constantly mistaken about something and you say "Oh whatever I mean like'
Grimm, sorry to tell ya, but he has been right
I get something that you think is wrong
For the most part*
"STFU BADDY"
The void lords can leave the Void and enter our universe, the Great Dark Beyond. But they lose their energies over time when they do that and thus need to consume matter and energy continuously. World-souls being extremely rare, that's not a practical method to find them. So they created the Old Gods and hurled them everywhere in the cosmos, hoping that a few might land onto a planet that contains a world-soul. The Old God(s) would then corrupt that nascent titan, turning it into their servant that would destroy and consume the universe in Void.
old gods were created by the void lords to infect the great dark beyond because void lords cant directly influence it
consume the universe
Oh wow peach
guess you were wrong according to mind
it's so obnoxious when you're wrong stop talking /s
It's not been stated that the void lords "hate each other".
you said they can't leave
they can leave for a bit
but if they leave they die
They don't die
its like saying an octopus cant leave the water
they can for a bit
but they essentially cant
yes they dont die, they lose their power
you don't need to try and retcon what you said so you aren't "Wrong"
@solar vapor This is meant for discussion, not disrespecting people
you make a mistake that's fine.
According to Chronicle they pretty much all have the same goal. It's part of their nature, they're Void beings. However they also mentioned that, like a few naaru might have different methods or ideologies (like Xe'ra), maybe a few void lords might do so as well.
why is being incorrect about something such a fucking mark of shame here.
The question I have for void lords
im generalizing, im not trying to be specific. myy point was that the void lords cant just stomp around the universe like the titans
Because no one is willing to admit they're wrong
is if they really don't hate eachother
why does the void CONSTANTLY sabotage itself?
same reason the Sith do. Plot.
I mean, they may not like each other, or they may, we just don't know. The void lords were only ever mentioned in Chronicle and it just scratched the surface, didn't go into detail about any kind of relationship or anything. For now, they're just a name.
like, why do the void allied ethereals try to steal the power of other void entities?
All we know is that they have a common goal.
and that common goal is consume the entire world (of warcraft)
no
Consume the cosmos!
^
...
by making a void titan
thats the only plan we know of
because that's the plan of the old gods
Consuming the cosmos is their grand plan. Seems to me that it's supposed to be a cycle.
^
why do the void allied ethereals try to steal the power of other void entities?
Different beings. They may all come from the Void or get their power form the Void, that doesn't inherently make people allies. Just like demons from planet X can kill or submit demons from planet Y. Or how humans kill trolls or tauren kill dwarves.
Dark devours the Light only to be destroyed by it only to be devoured by it.
Oroboros. Essentially.
crazier still is the fact that the void CAN be used to defend life at all
the void sees all outcomes, so its not crazy
well yea. Light and Void are just energies.
Ever seen a Discipline Priest?
Both are capable of healing and safety as well as destruction.
the void sees all outcomes and believes in all of them
it doesnt believe any of them
We see this expressed incredibly well with Spires of Arak.
wasn't the entire thing that the light sees one outcome and believes that one
it doesnt know which one is true or not
but the void sees all and believes them all to be true, which is why it's so fucking crazy.
yes and the void is the opposite
Let me know when this chat simmers down.
Light sees only one path and think it true
it sees all paths and believes nothing
Void sees all paths and thinks they're all possible truths. Both are blind
dr strange would wrek void with his timestone
as they're both extremes
so same result different reasoning
I mean
one is complete order, the other complete chaos, both are evil
Keep in mind this is mostly Locus-Walker's poetic interpretation. It doesn't mean that, say, a worshiper of the Light or a Light being can't consider or believe in more than 1 path, and it doesn't mean Alleria or a Void being can't form plans based on only 1 solution.
that's what I was trying to get across
It's meant to show that no matter the side, it's just extreme points.
Every outcome is a possibility.
So theyre both blind
its why both sides are evil in extremes
so the void lords would be basically capable of feeling anything towards anything.
but in moderation, neither are evil
They're.. "incomplete". You need both to get the whole picture.
^
they could love or hate each other and both interpretations are true.
to both peach and Quiet
thats wwhy alleria can see the future
the holy side is spilling over its cup for awhile now.
she uses both the light and the void to guide her
Yup. And Xala does state that shedoesn't hate those of the Light
instead, she sees them asjust lost children.
She sees the future by eliminating the impossible futures
thats why illidan was like nope.jpg
the futures of her killing arator are immediately thrown out
I don't think she really uses the light
Xera said she can't use the light anymore after becoming void touched
She abandoned those to use the Void.
i thought in the audio drama she used both
she used light until she met shadow
She used Arator as an anchor
then it was all shadow
She doesn't use the Light anymore. That was before, she had received a vision from the Light, but it was incomplete. Then she started studying the Void, and she got the other half of the vision. Now she's solely using the Void (she can't use the Light anymore).
Using her love forhim to guide what is true and what isn't
That is interesting
I'm not sure what that was about
did they use her as a sort of beacon to come to the sunwell?
did they, come out of her?
or did they go there because they wanted to tempt her into taking the sunwell, which they couldn't???
or...
As I am aware
did they do it.
she was a sort of Beacon
because they wanted to prevent her from getting too close to the sunwell
Maybe the sunwell meeting alleria would have done, more than just a simple meeting
Which is why the practices of the void are strictly prohibited
maybe they feared it.
big bloc of text
"The Locus-Walker kept her firmly afloat. "You have known the Shadow as nothing but horrors. The
Shadow sees the Light in the same way. Neither viewpoint is true. Neither is wrong." The roar of the
Void nearly drowned him out. The masters of the Void were clawing at her mind. She barely fought
them off. "The Light seeks one path and shuns all others as lies. The Shadow seeks every possible path
and sees them all as truth."
More visions. Possible futures. She saw Xe'ra, the Mother of Light, declaring her a heretic and calling for
her death. She saw her blood on Turalyon's sword. She saw Arator calling an army of paladins to hunt
her down, only to fall with her arrows in his throat. She saw herself kneeling before the One Who
Slumbers beneath Azeroth's waves. She saw herself killing it and taking its place, leading a throng of
horrors to consume every nation.
As she swam in the Shadow, all these visions seemed true. At first.
Slowly she began to see the difference between the Shadow's memories… the Shadow's plans… and the
Shadow's desires. And from that…
Destiny. She saw what the Light could not. She saw what even the Shadow could not, because, yes, it
was just as blind.
She saw terrible choices. She saw noble betrayals. She saw… victory, in a way she could scarcely
comprehend.
And among all of that, she saw countless events that would never happen. The lies of the Void were
strong, intoxicating, but they quickly collapsed.
Perhaps one day she would fall to madness. Perhaps one day she would betray her allies. She was
capable of it. But she would never, not in any possibility, not in any circumstance, harm her son. She
38
would never lift a finger against Arator. Even if he killed her for what she had become, she would accept
it gladly. The weight of that truth kept her afloat. And she could feel the Shadow's confusion. It did not
understand the bonds between mortals. It did not understand that there were some things that could
not be corrupted."
theres this whole thing
about her not just using the void
and being able to see through the lies
uhh
I don't think it says anywhere in there that she used the light
just her love for her son
in that passage she isn't using either side
which the void never understood.
she's just shifting through the Void's visions
oh
She's using the concept of love, that the void can't understand
^
like the void UNDERSTANDS the light
woops
No worries peach
It happens to us all
mortal bonds
huh
something that is neither light nor void, a pure, human emotion
til that part was cheesier than i thought
yep
like
she loves her son THAT much
and she just fuckin met him!
determination of a mother is a strong thing
though her having a kid is a total fucking retcon anyway
which is why I am so confused on people thinking only because of the Windrunner comic that Arator being Alleria's anchor means he'll die
There's also a part where she caresses her son's cheek from thousands of light years away through the Light.
i mean
she met him a long time ago
then she left
for a long long time
at least for her
ofc
yeah
Like after sheleft
its been a while
like she never knew her son, watched him grow up or any of that.
but not that long
I mean 20 years is a loooong time
yeah
cmon now we all know thralls mom is da best
1000 is slightly longer
his whole childhood
how old is arator?
like 20 something
21?
oh shit
can't be much older than that
i didnt realize they left so soon
He was born right before the expedition
yeah
that makes his character story way more tragic
Oh yeah
he was raised never knowing any of his family
yup
holy shit, that light cutscene was the first time he met his father
it's why he's so determined to find any sign of them
thats intense af
but because all this stuff is information you have to figure out on your own
in the background
same peach.
but she did say she would fall to the void eventually
the tragedy is sweet and perfect
boy will that fuck with the family dynamics
And I, for one, welcome our new void waifu overlord
no
Nah. It' sjust shadow form
she sees in her vision that someday she will fall completely to the void, unable to control herself
but that vision could be false
no, that was in the future vision she saw
Latest-news thing shines
at this point the power of prophecy in wow is bullshit
"Oh great, the part 2 of the horde"
She has no retort because in a way, from a certain perspective she did givein
remember we saw a vision of time where Nozdormu's mate was killed?
those are different
visions of time are literally alternate/possible future things
^
we still havent seen the formation of the infinite flight either
It wasn't wrong
theres still an entire collapse of the bronze dragon flight that needs to happen at some point
at this point visions in wow are bullshit.
I'm just asking
how are we sure that alleria's vision is absolute?
the light sees one path and thinks it is true, that doesnt mean it is
Because Alleria shifted through the lies already
because they made it out to sound that way
she knows the difference
and we have to trust the writers
Literal context clues
^
we have to assume as players that the information we are given is true until proven otherwise
In the passage before her admitting it is her separating the voids truthsfrom their lies
She knows the differences
it's inevitable that she falls
eh. we just went through an entire character arc with velen saying fate doesn't exist
It's not her fate
and that nothing is predetermined
Like Nozdormu
that's the definition of the word
and him dying
as Murzond
to us
That always
has
to happen
its just how the timeline works
didn't we recently totally break the timeline with alternate draenor?
nope
How did he became Murozond tho
which is the only reason the legion invaded
AU Draenor is a separate timeline
but
He tried to modify the timeline, right?
but gul'dan from that timeline
is the only reason legion happened
I'm just saying at this point either you have to go full IC and suggest that visions in wow are bullshit because anything could happen
All the events of Wod, minus Ghoulish daniel beingsent to our timeline, DO NOT AFFECT OUR TIMELINE
or go full ooc and say the writers don't have to stick to whatever the fuck visions say and can do anything.
^
but what about the brown skinned orcs coming from au draenor and joining us on azeroth
warlords is an alternate timeline outside our own because of the artifact that kairozormu used to create it
^
we use the same artifact to go back to that timeline
at this point the writing is so fucked you can reasonably argue literally anything
that still doesn't affect our timeline
Blame that infernal apparatus
but in order for the future to happen WoD had to happen
The Vision of Time
It was one of the "possible timelines", and Kairoz made it come to life with the Vision of Time. Keep in mind it's technically an entire universe, not just Draenor.
no
And we helped him
its just draenor
Nope
Legion
its in a bubble
they literally confirmed that in a QA
lol
errrr- how would they have invaded without the broken shore
regardless of Ghoulish Daniel
They confirmed the existence of AU Azeroth, so.
You get someone else to do it
no
OH GOD WHAT IS GOING ON
I trust Quiet more
lemme get the quote
zoth is... well zoth is somwhere
ohh
They literally said there is an AU Azeroth, but we would never see it.
... o.0
OK so Grimm
so you dont get lost
cuz me and Peach and Quiet can juggle a few topics at once
WoD doesn't affect our timeline
AU azeroth never got blown up huh
Legion was going to invade us
I mean
"I still get the same question over and over again -- is there an alternate Azeroth to go with the alternate Draenor?
Yes!
Are we going to see it?
I would never say never, but it's not planned right now."
regardless of WoD happening
ohshit
the fuck?
I didn't know this either.
haha
I wonder how AU azeroth is doing
Noorcs. No ogres
tauren probably were wiped out by centaurs
there's a HUGE SLEW OF POSSIBILITIES
last we checked in with medivh and the bronze dragonflight
I know Peach
damn
without the orcs azeroth dies
CRAZY I SAY
Actually no Grimm
That would be sad
nonono
so no horde
At least the Highmountain would still be alive
well
no old god shit
bronze dragonflight basically said
we dont know what would happen with archimonde without the horde
"No orcs means burning legion 3rd invasion you would lose"
i mean
but that's the THING
broxigar did that thing
But
That's the thing Grimm
archimonde is DEAD
where he cut sargeras right?
We killed Archimonde
That's the thing
but like
if that didnt happen?
SHUSH
And apparently the demons doesn't give a fuck for timelines
TRYING TO EXPLAIN
AU azeroth would NEVER have been invaded by the legion!!!
does sargeras win?
GUYS
wtb gf
TRYING TO EXPLAIN
OK.
AU Draenor
we stop their first invasion
all other events we have to assume
happen on AU azeroth
except third invasion
So everything up to first invasion time
no archimonde
no world tree blowing up
No first invasion
MAGNI
No second war
wait
but the legion is the same everywhere
It is
so yeah
"we would have to find a new world"
no nerzhul
Yeah, but atm Legion is defeated
no lich king
So in our current time
Yup
AU Azeroth is a perfect utopia
with no legion to wage that third war
alternate northrend is probably yogg city
He accomplished what Garrosh and Varian could not, working sitting anim
I KNOW RIGHT?1
who would stop cthun?
the whole planet is probably void infected
with the dragons.
Nobody, because they wouldn’t be released
void elves couldnt do it
hmmmm
Chronicles retconned Chogall into freeing them
true
the old gods dont get out
the world probably continues on as intended
I imagine more wars would start with the trolls and such, against the humans or elves.
yogg still leaks though right?
IS ALIVE
He's slowly and barely leaking through
like fandral would still be an idiot wouldnt he?
but he'snotable to do anything more than that
Well
we have to assume everything azeroth happened prior to that pint with the legion
oh
that still happened
nevermind yes
Unless Aszhara in her thrist of power fucks all making a war
fandral would still be stupid
like that azeroth, legion wouldnt show up where they normally show up from the 1st war on
but they had to show up for the war of the ancients and stuff
So not Deathwing?
so old god prisons are still weaker than intended
Yes deathwing.
^
deathwing became deathwing with well of eternity
But the old gods can't get free
cataclysm would still happen
since no Cho'gall
but he probably got dealt with before cata
I dont think cata would happen.
with no lich king or cho'gall to worry about
i mean, deathwing still gets corrupted either way
Since the old gods don't get as free and don't gather asmuch power as they do in our timeline
as again, Cho'gall is missing
yeah but we can go kill him instead of dealing with the other shit
and he's amajor player there
100%
and a servant of the old gods
wait wait
100%
the dragon soul
and whose to say they wouldnt find another
no
he couldn't wield it anymore.
it happened during the war of the ancients
that's why he got the orcs to use it
10k years ago
now called the demon soul
no no
It was first calleddemonsoul
before that
in WOtA
during the well of eternity
Yes
that part still happens
It was first the Demon Soul
It means
then it was the Dragon Soul
are FUCKED
after deathwing was corrupted
without the orcs
and like, i guess illidan stays imprisoned?
Illidan is never freed
because the events never get pushed
no need without the legion
hmmmm
i have to imagine that the old gods eventually break out
What about Rhonin destroying the Demon Soul?
It's not totally true
Again I wanted to go over all of this weeks ago and y'all mockedme! >=(
because there are some big power players alive on AU azeroth
like any small old god issue medivh could fuck up
their prisons were weakened by the well of eternity
alternate medivh might not exist
I don't see why not
hell, alternagte azeroth could have a completely different story
just like how alternate draenor didnt have a garrosh
but
he'd probably feel pretty shocked at sargerus just, dissapearing.
relatively
no medivh was powerful because he was the child of a guardian and a archmage
and this is a big IF
he'd still be retarded powerful
he wouldve also not stayed in karazhan
after agewyn gives him most of her power
"where the fuck are my orcs"
^^^^^^^^^^^^
Aegwyn would be bitchy
"Damnit I wanted to bang that one"
i feel like it could be a completely different story though. i mean, alternate draenor has yrel, we nnever had a yrel, alternate draenor didnt have a baby garrosh, it has a different son
oh we have a yrel
its possible alternate azeroth has other versions of people
there's an explanation on that one
no, we dont, we got maraad
oh
so the experiment/cross-breeding into dying to be part of that fuck off road?
yea
because things are slightly different in alternate draenor
WhichIMO was a bad move.
. That is not impossible
as retarded as it is
considering thrall is a girl on au draenor
They should have made it full circle
for some reason
which means things might be slightly different on alternat azeroth
very slightly
thrall isnt born on alternate draenor
and had Yrel watch her Maraad die
Inb4 medivh is a chick.
wait
I thought it was stated he had a girl
I made a sheet with updated AP needed for each heart level with AK modifiers. What is really interesting is that the AK modifier will make it so that once you reach a certain level, you can gain 1 level a week and you will need the same amount of AP each week going forward to get your next AK level.
oh
named some feminine version- yeah Geyrah
It is
Geyarah is their daughter
but its a totally different person
female thrall everyone
not really
fuck this timeline bullshit
AU azeroth is more interesting than au draenor ever was
why didn't we go to au azeroth
its the same standin
It's why I put it in quotes Kham
it's supposed to be like
Rey replacing Luke
in the new star wars movies
honestly if wow is trying to manipulate people into either hating or loving sylvanas they are doing a great job
I am excited to interact with Geyarah more.
the alliance questline immediately made me hate her.
That was kinda random o.O
just a comment
I've always hated her
but that'swhy I love her
it's like Geoffry without being annoying.
I thought she was an evil prick but that's par for the course with characters in wow
the questline in dark shore REALLY messes with your emotions
it's less she's more evil now
before she was in the shadows
it's how it's presented
before she bombed some people and raised the dead
It is in no way more evil than any other time, haha.
just now she's in the limelight
I dunno, she's never killed fellow forsaken before..
yea. That's what sylvanas does in Silver Pine IIRC
even her sex toy makes a comment about that being extreme even for her
nathanos
Nathanos
Nathanos is like "whoa wtf" in the book
I like how I don't even have to say his name and everyone knows who i'm talking about
Grimm, we went over that earlier.
and he's only kept around for that reason
But you know
but yeah in the book he is actually surprised at her orders to shoot fleeing forsaken
That means that humans are best mates for elves
"why must every windrunner have a man?"
Because humans master race
I think its more like the windrunner sisters have a thing for humans
kinky family
Which Windrunner is prettier
you'd think half-elves would be more represented with so many half-breeds
oh that's easy
Alleria.
she has the newest model
Also the fact that Sylvanas is undead.
And which one is cuter.
Why not young vereesa
You can see through SYlvanas' ears e.e
Alleria because nobody cares about vereesa
because
I tis not pretty.
Vereesa is puke
You are a bunch of bullies
not my fault that Vereesa is puke
Vereesa needs to do something actually important
imma call mods on u all
and get a new model
Well
she's the least favorite windrunner sister
but Grimm
and the most likely to either be forgotten about/murdered.
not. Really
High elves are alliance and always have been.
that was Ion's reasoning Grimm
those that left all became blood elves
"IS THIS ENOUGH? THERE ARE NO HIGH ELVES"
It was kinda the other way around Grimm
No, because they are identical except for eyes
and alliance players would bitch if high elves became one of their allied races
motherland
and the blood elves eventually will regain their blue eyes
they wont kham
they have golden eyes now
they require an arcane font for that
I don't think they're getting blue eyes back
Sunwell is a Light font
they rely on holy light instead of arcane
before it was fel that's why it was green
like
well no
the sunwell wasn't active
they relied on fel crystals
hence why everyones eyes were green
aren't high elves literally just blood elves except blue eyes and less red?
Nope.
I thought that was the difference
the 30 years that have passed opened up a lot of possibilities to make them different
blizzard refuses to take em
¯_(ツ)_/¯
What changes that drastically over 30 years? v.v
no they did it's called void elves
-blizzard
They live with humans
What will that do
better question
did high elves ever get mana addicted?
meditation was alsoa valid way.
Yes
they did
that's why losing the Sunwell was a hugething for the race
they still are arent they?
not entirely peach
Some of them are
they've all but severed their dependancy on the Well
yeah, but dont they still need mana?
I mean didn't SOME high elves not join the high elves with the well?
Nope.
no the light fufills the need
That's blood elves Grimm
the High Elveshaveused the past 30 years to ween themselves off
