your argument is false
OK.

what is the purpose of posting those @sour burrow
NPC names for the various sethrak in the city, and an interesting insight into the development process to see what order thigns got added in. :)
Keeping track of these NPCs as the builds evolve, seeing if new stuff gets added or changes, tracking to see where certain NPC versions are / which ones may still be unused.
I figured out what theyre gonna do with balance druid
Oh?
leave it as the spamfest it is on the beta, then in 8.1, to go along with zandalari and kul tirans, theyll revamp it and make it great
just in time for all the new alts
how evil and devious of them
Sounds like blizz
YES. Just read about alu'neth and knaifu talking when transmogged in BfA
When was the last time a spec was majorly revamped mid-expansion
And if Blizz had a new idea for Balance right now why would they delay it
destro locks saw a semi-major revamp in the middle of legion (really more like a rollback to wod tho)
with them reworking soul shards for destro
Fair enough
also their mastery
I mean ability overhauls, etc, not just balancing numbers
reworking soul shards kinda falls under that no?
I mean ability overhauls, etc, not just balancing numbers
I mean ability overhauls, etc, not just balancing numbers
unf laggy internet
Unholy got saved.
I didn't play mine enough to notice changes 😛
that's why I said semi-major, while reworking how soul shards are generated was a big deal, they weren't adding new abilities or changing how they function (in a meaningful way)
has anyone found the quarter masters
tortollan isnt in port of zandalari from what I can see any more as a horde and I dont know where the other ones are
found talanji's just doesnt have anything yet
balance right now https://i.redd.it/rd6dxdfzwpw01.jpg
lul
oldie but goodie
templars verdict
Wonder what the Blizzcon rewards will be this year
I would kill for a WC3 remaster
unfortunately with all the lore details that have been tweaked and changed, it would more likely be a remake instead of a remaster like we saw with starcraft
rideable n'zoth
"access to an exclusive blizzcon allied race"
also starcraft got a ton of lore tweaks too, lore is still the same in the remaster
hell the main plot of SC2 was a retcon from SC1
truth be told, I've never played either, my bad
they might just bring back the murlocs for blizzcon this year tho, a (more) old god themed murloc
I mean
When they said SC1 remaster
I was hoping for SC1 in SC2's engine
Not just a resolution update 😛
Of course, WC3 isn't quite as dated
that would be a remake
also I dunno what they'd remake WC3 in, WoW still uses its engine afaik
SC2 engine 😛
But yeah, unlikely
Presumably it will just be a touch up with background stuff to make sure it runs on modern computers, like the SC1 remaster
WC3 is actually still holding up decently, theres still custom maps being made, games being played, it's online, while not extremely lively, still isn't dead
That would be evil if Blizzard had a blizzcon allied race
I mean, I’d buy it.
But it’d be evil af
its a remastering
with their focus on allied races
anything is possible, but I mostly said that as a joke
it'll probably be a tentacle covered murloc
which makes no sense if they were going to remake/remaster it, why not start doing that after they rereleased it?
Because the remaster is just graphics and technical stuff
The balancing would carry over
fair enough
Especially for a new WC3 tournament
I'm just dreaming tho 😛
-But- on the other hand
It's an offyear for WoW
So they need some other kind of big (well, big-ish) annoucement
So unless Overwatch is finally getting some single player story content
Or Diablo 4
there's been rumors of blizz working on another fps
it could be a spinoff/sequel to overwatch
or starcraft
"starcraft ghost reconfirmed"
THIRTEEN YEARS I WAITED
That's the thing
Overwatch single player spinoff
Seems the most obvious choice
I'm not sure how well overwatch would really lend itself to a singleplayer campaign tbh, would need a lot of tweaks I think
I'll believe that when I see it
A new diablo game has been rumored to be in the works for awhile also
Rumor is, it might be a mobile phone thing
Overwatch lends well to a single player campaign
Which will suck
Because there's literally no other way for them to tell a story
With these detailed setting Metzen drove himself to anxiety for
I meant gameplay wise
Eh
playing tracer through a singleplayer campaign would get boring imo
The same way every other FPS does it
maybe I'm just being critical
It can't possibly be any worse than a Call of Duty/Battlefield campaign
Jeff Kaplan will drive himself to anxiety next trying to make sure it isn't
Only to realize, as Gaben did
That there's not really anything new left to do with the FPS single player campaign
Or at least anything that's feasible
When?
Horde test tomorrow
Woooo
I wonder what will be different or added
Server stability, hopefully
they do have changes
wonder if Baa'l will be the blizzcon pet this year
might be
which could mean a diablo announcement
there is shadow diablo pet that got leaked.
Well reaper of souls was released in 2014... maybe we get diablo 4 announcement and release in 2019 or 2020
Besides that... not sure what else could be at blizzcon
Wow classic talk... diablo 4 announcement, heartstone exp, overwatch new 1 - 2 chars... noway a new starcraft game or sc2 dlc.... maybe a new game or new ip?!?!?
Lol why did that turn into a link?!? 😂
Link to Google maps 👌
There we go... it was the no way causing the problem

got a great idea for a playable race guys
playable tolvir. It will be the perfect recruit a friend race, requiring one person to be the front and the other to be the back. It will be the first truly multiplayer experience! you cant log into the character
unless 2 ppl click on it
like cho'gall in heroes of the storm
it would be great cooperation
imagine 2 people cooperating in mythic raids front has general movement and defensive cooldowns
and the back has damage cooldowns and movement cooldowns(like blink or disengage)
no
yea no. It worked well in HOTS with Cho'gall
cuz Cho was the legs
gall is the hands
but how you describe does not sound fun
people cooperating in mythic raids?
they kinda have to to get the fight done Zep
yeah i dont like that defencives are being put on the GCD...
i am all for the dps cooldowns like crusade, but they are prepped, while defencives are reatctionary, and that is what they said they dont want. They said they dont want you to stop attacking just incase you need to interupt, now its the same but with defencives
Hey : ) is there a way to go in the horde's lands before ding 120 on the beta? I want to try the war-mode p o/
War Campaign quests
Do you know if it's long to achieve?
Gotta finish one of your leveling zones
Get the War Campaign quest
Then you're on an opposite faction island
ho ok thanks ^^
Anyone else have a character that they can’t play with on beta because the game crashes once you load that character?
if you are in Tiragarde Sound you have to put your graphics to 1 and you should be able to log back in happened to me in freehold then i turned down to 1 and got back in without crashing
Did you die?
I had an issue with that in alpha
Otherwise just beta bug report forums, I wouldn't bet on getting the character back in use 😛
Yes I died in voldun
But I crashed before I died
I’ll try the graphics to 1 thing
Hoping we see Blizzard add the Alliance war campaign quests next build.
Does directX version matter?
I crashed a few times using DX12
and lets hope the Alliance does cool stuff
cuz
The Horde is getting a lot of cool stuff
@dense plover how far into voldun have u got
lul
gonna switch to graphics 1 and dx11
@dense plover first impressions of the sneks and the foxes
or you have to boil down a bit
Well the good news for you alliance guys, if they are hiding your story for so long, must be important
Watch. Its just thr vindicaar descending from the heavens and punts the horde into submission
inb4 Ion gets overthrown and we get a super alliance bias gamedirector
that makes high elves playable, and gives them the most amount of customizations
than any race so far
I mean, Metzen was Horde biased, but he still gave love to the Alliance
Ion was still director when Metzen was around thi
Rho*
Tho*
And Metzen had more alliance love than Horde.
I don't think metzen was really biased either way. He just had characters and stories he thought were badass, so he told them. And I think he did varians story miles better than Thralls
@violet sphinx your fix worked, thank you. can i turn the settings back or do I leave them there?
when i got out of freehold I turned it back up
but you might want to leave them because it happens in a few spots in that area
garrosh did nothing wrong tho.
Garrosh did a few things wrong
🤔
Lightforged Chad Garrosh did nothing wrong
people denying horde favoritism
garrosh bombs an alliance city unprovoked
ignore blizzcon 2011
to be fair the alliance and horde -were- at war at the time that he's bombing them
You mean the military city that was feeding troops into Kalimdor? Yeah, totally unprovoked. lmao
Actually Theramore didnt' feed any troops to the rest of Kalmindor.
Well, highly escalating the situation
Northwatvh was
^
Theramore was so pacifist that you had deserters -trying- to provoke them
Now it -was- an alliance port that yes the alliance -could- use to attack the horde
but that was it.
Northwatch was a much larger threat to the horde than theramore ever was.
That’s why Northwatch grew so much in size
Because Varian was using that as his Kalimdor port
at behest of Jaina.
I did. And Theramore literally built up a highway to get to the Barrens quickly to better feed the Alliance soldiers.
So that theramore could remain as neutral as it could.
Not to mention that even while under horde attack, Jaina didn't have alliance soldiers defending the city
People always cite the highway without realizing it was initially constructed as a safe supply and trade route
^
Jaina wanted to normalize relations with the Horde
It would have happened if not for the Cataclysm
now again, yes it -was- an alliance port that -could- have been used against the horde.
but that's it. Probabilities.
maybes. that's what Garrosh attacked on
in which btw, Northwatch still stands
and isn't being destroyed
and it's actively fighting horde
and everyones ignoring it
just keep that in mind
The alliance did use it as a port.
There is no could
It was used as a port, and the Alliance were using the highway(not for its intended purpose) to send troops into the Barrens.
Northwatch was actually taken out in Tides of War, and was being worked on after the destruction of Theramore by the Alliance military. We have zero idea on what is happening with Northwatch currently.
Implies that Northwatch was entirely rebuilt then. I was not aware it was going to be remembered.
(which is lame.). I’d prefer Azshara as a Warfront.
Hoping they keep the idea of Feralas being a warfront.
Azshara Warfront would be cool.
It'll most likely be fort triumph vs taurajo (which is confirmed) but I can dream about getting a night elf outpost in the overgrowth
Taurajo is rebuilt? Neat.
Probably not going to stop the Horde crying out "BUT TAURAJO" though. Lmao
At least your actually in the beta Peach! XD
...Well, I didn't see this one coming! Blizzard have revealed the crazy future of Draenor and the Mag'har orcs. Posters available at - https://www.patreon....
So I was right?
The Light are nazis?
Ehhhh
as I said in another channel
We're being given the barest fraction of the whole picture here
Idk
But that won't stop the clickbait videos, so
Lightforged are kinda OP
Maybe Blizzard doesn't want the Alliance to have them :o
Oh wait
That's not connected
AAAAAA
let me watch the video
I'll get back
It's just going to be a summary of the datamine post
Followed by some probably baseless speculation
I mean Bellular's not the worst
But still
^ Au draenei are implied to have gone to extreme routes.
But that's the most we can make out of that.
Okay so Draenei are implied to have gone to extreme routes.
that takes too much time
Key word: Implied
Still extreme routes
Well in this instance they'd be extreme jihadists more than Nazis.
Or even the crusaders
No they didnt
There is definitely no thematic theme about the line between faith and fanaticism
They killed Jews?
Okay
Who wants to explains 1000 years of European history
Culminating into the events of WW2
Well there's obviously more to national-socialism
But fine
If you want me to use a different word
Crusader
Crusade
THE POINT IS
i made up
a stupid conspiracy theory
with no basis earlier
and i'm trying to be right
that profile pic perfectly fits with the text in the screenshot
Now that's what I call edgy volume 3
how dare blizz try to rectify the ending of WoD that people hated and make Yrel a character with her own personality
preposterous
The irony that everyone suddenly loves Yrel's OG character arc now
i believe yrel was supposed to have her big character development moment
in the shattrath raid tier
that was cancelled
cuz garrisons
I mean
If the ~dark secret~ was just that she's Archimonde's daughter
As I have heard
It's not exactly much more than an extra quest chapter's worth of angst
Before she valiantly finds her courage again to step up as the leader her people need
a child of shadow and light :^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^)

General forums: lol why did the draenei just let grom off scot free after all that mass murder
Ion: you know what, that's a good point

Also General forums: WHY THE FUCK ARE THE DRAENEI NOW MURDERING ORCS???? THEY DID NOTHING WRONG
#gromdidafewthingswrong
#likefatherlikeson
The thing is
Gul'dan was right
In the end
(except for the bit where the orcs did kind of invite their own destruction there)
But Gul'dan said the draenei would turn against them
Only because the orcs turned on them. :>
Cuz they existed peacefully for hundredss of years
Yeeeeah
Thus it is only a meme
But like
Everyone is just hilariously underestimating the sheer moral strength the OG draenei have
That Velen can actually forgive the orcs
And shepherd his people to do the same
(remember that time Genn wanted to just murder the Second War survivors and bitched constantly about the costs of the camps)
that's how much sway Velen had on his people
that he could sway their hatreds on the Orcs -and- Sin'dorei
I mean, presumably some agreed with Velen more than others
Like the Chronicle notes how Maraad pushed for more aggression against the orcs
At the start of the war
Granted not everyone wanted to forgive them,
but Velen is kinda what stopped a crusade
The OG draenei clearly aren't mindless
But presumably, without Velen, the factions of AU draenei who pushed for retaliation
Outweighed the pacifists
most likely.
Especially if Yrel was at the head of a hardline group of them
Yrel, who was enslaved and had her sister murdered
none of the other exarchs were really pacifists anyways
hataaru died and he was the closest to it
There is a -dangerously- thin line between faith and fanaticism
Yup. No velen, and velen's words were heavy on the draenei.
Why would the draenei be immune to it?
It shows jus thow important Velen is to the Draenei as a people.
velens last words were also really fucking easy to misinterpret
That too
also
Yrel can say whatever she likes about Velen's last words
yrel isnt murdering orcs
she can even believe that she's doing what Velen would have wanted
Yea no she isn't but ya know
people need that sensationalism
that instant aggression without ever doing research
tis the climat
Well, being killed for fighting back against a forcible conversation is still murder
Remember, life is the Light, and the Light is life itself. They may be exchanged, but nothing is ever lost.
The Light is always Right
It's a reasonable development of her character
I think she's perfectly in the right tbh.
Cycle of hatred baby
i mean
And it is a good paralelel
people need to learn the difference between a bad person and a bad character
if everyone on draenor followed the light
That the Cycle exists on Draenor as much as Azeroth
this applies to a lot of female characters in WoW
^
What Port said
🤔
I wonder if in the interim time-gap the orcs killed what remained of the botani and gorgrond as a whole became entirely desert. Due to that line from the Lightbound that the orcs' hate is what killed the once fertile land.
it might also reference to the damage done to tanaan, the damages that Cho'gall unleashed in Nagrand, etc etc etc.
There's a lot of things that it can reference.
Very true.
I have a feeling it's in reference to Nagrand personally.
What land is more fertile than that there that was under Orcish rule?
The orcs hate of the Draenei also led them to the Legion and I dont think Tanaan is doing well
i mean
what with the fel lava
the version of gorgrond they use
is jungle free
its the alpha version where the desert is the entire zone
and train tracks span it
but with the new version of blackrock spliced in to the map
so clearly they did kill the jungle somehow
that's more to the north isnt it? The jungles are all to the south
on the map, the jungles of gorgrond are 100% gone
the entire zone is like the desert/rock part
isnt the gorgrond map,the one they used in alpha WoD?
thats what i said dafire
huh. So I guess they did wipe out the Botani then.
Makes sense that theres no green there now
They were the onlyones making it green
wonder what happens to the arakkoa and ogres
botani allied race just got written out of the story
where do you go for warfront testing?
nah
I assume they'll get LIGHTIFIED
I heard it was a table you click on
uh, Botani I could never see as an Allied race. Plant/Fungus Hivemind doesn't mesh with anyone.
Yea but
The Warfront table is at the Zuldazar docks
they appear
Or was last time
so theyre an allied race
100%
if you haven't noticed, yes I am mocking the idiots that keep saying everything is an allied race and everything has a possibility of becoming an allied race
Interesting. I imagine the tall arakkoa likely joined the draenei's crusade.
vris allied race 100% confirmed
Idk about the outcasts.
I think they'd not join it
or have been wiped out
which makes me sad if they were
arakkoa likely wouldnt have
cuz I liked Reshad.
by the end of WoD, the cursed and non-cursed joined together
So question, in the 30 years between WoD and now on AU Dreanor, were there demons? I ask this because what if this is the route where the Drenai don't have to fear being found by demons.
Just a thought
there were no demons, thats one of the big plot points
so it is just a "what if"
there are timelinesbeing made now that don't have events like the War of Eternity happen?
Chronicles 3 officially explained how timelines work
Yea yea they eventually collapse into nothing unless we interfere
theres one main timeline, and divergences die off shortly after because they cant sustain themselves
but it's never stated -when- or -how- it happens.
so you're saying lightforged garrosh needs to travel back in time to pre-well of eternity
and stop the dark trolls?
Yes
but oddly WoD timeline is still alive and (maybe) well
Cuz we interfered
which makes mewonder
is the rest of that universe just gone
except for Draenor?
timelines become independent and self sustaining once bridged into the main timeline
or is the rest of that universe there.
Cuz that means that -that- Azeroth is completely untouched by the horde.
🤔
pretty sure the rest of the universe is still there, just kinda fucked because old gods on azeroth
oh I forgot they made that change
but that also raises a question Vris, would a AU Azeroth have survived a Legion assault?
Yoggy is probably still in control of Ulduar
huh so azeroth really would be dandy without the horde
The whole timeline stabalizes once we connect it Hyper
that includes the rest of the universe
It's more than that isn't it? Timeline differences would be branching points from MU. Since WoD Draenor is a whole AU they have their own timeline and shenanigans.
any timeline difference creates a new timeline which dies out eventually
Until it connects to us
so that timeline kept going, and that includes the rest of the universe
So there is An AU Azeroth that exists. With no horde. No Cho'gall and twilight's hammer.
AU high elves confirmed
Alexstrasza never had to force breed out a brood for the Dragonmaw
with Humans and Nelfs killing each other probably Vris
there's no scourge over there
at least i would think
nelfs wouldnt really have left kalimdor, at least not much
and the times they did, they were allied with the alliance
but they certainly wouldn't be letting them into Ashenvale
the Tauren are 100% wiped out
No horde to save em from the Centaur
RIP cairne
the Darkspear are wiped out, no horde to save em from the Naga
that also raises the question of would the AU Az survive the second invasion? because that would still happen
I dont think the second invasion ever happened.
it wouldnt because it only happened because of the scourge
Cuz right after WoD, legion launches its full assault.
to destabilize the world
no Tauren either, without the horde they dead
So if all their energy is directed at MU azeroth, they wouldn't bother sending a missing archimonde to start a third war.
would he be a paladin
AU Az sounds like a crappy place, no trolls, no Tauren, no space goats
Worgen curse would probably be a lot worse in AU then, since Nelfs would not go out of their city, it would spread
well actually
maybe
it wouldn't exist
it's only because of the saytrs that the worgen were created
and because of Fel Wood and the Scourge that they were re-released
So without those two factors, the worgen are never brough out of the dream
no trolls?! 😱
the darkspear and amani would have been either completely wiped out
AU Az has a lot of dead races
zandalari trolls tho?
Or would, if it were real
or very very very small in number.
The zandalari should befine
but with no coming cataclysm
as there's no twilight's hammer
"no trolls" implies no trolls
they'd probably stay on Zuldazar.
We specifically stated the Darkspear trolls tho
and maybe the Amani trolls to
So, I guess my question is;
Is Draenor from WoD an entirely separate universe or merely a branched timeline that became sustained through our interference?
Because chronological events on a wide scale are different there from MU as well as people to an extent. Even some locations.
I guess it was Bronze Dragon tech that allowed us to head there, so timeline seems plausible but most alternate timelines have merely a few focal points that changed history. Here there is a considerable number of alterations big and small shaping it as a more unique plane even if an echo.
The Darkspear trolls came from the Zandalari Trolls.
Eventuallly, another sect of trolls, be it jungle trolls or otherwise would fill the darkspear's place on AU azeroth
may not be darkspear trolls but another name tho
But it caught up in BFA basically
no? its still way in the past
No it caught up slayer
yeah, with the help of the bronze dragon flight
Like what it is now
mag'har we get are from current day draenor
30 years -after- we left at the end of WoD
It was weird timey wimey stuff, the timelines synced like clocks
i guess the bronze dragons just skipped ahead to that part of the future, cause time would still flow normally prob
we went back in time 30 years ago with the help of the bronze dragons (presumably) and magic
They didn't
So run at the same time now
there's no say on how we got there
Sylvans gets there and saves the Mag'har
It wasn't with bronze dragons we got there
Garrosh linked our Dark Portal with WoD's Dark Portal
MAGIC
http://gph.is/Quih86
that's how we got there
But WoD's portal is broken.
Because we broke it
We got there beforehand through that portal
then we stabalized our own portals to and from.
our Garrison Hearthstone ain't broken.
But basically the timeline, now stable, started to ‘catch up’, it should be running just about in sync with our universe now
I wonder if any Horde or Alliance deserted and attempted to live there as we left. Seems odd to declare "We'll take this land for the alliance" and then everyone leaves. Not even a single peon remaining. I don't imagine it's as squeaky clean as Blizz might make it seem.
It's still a land full of resources. I could see there being some small human or orc village.
Plus some MU goblins stayed behind as infected
Ah, true. That whole infection incident.
Yep, so some are there still
and the ones on that island off the coast of Shadowmoon Valley
Plus all the artifacts we stole and took with us, those probably helped sync the timelines
wonder if they're still there 🤔
We left some stuff, we took some stuff, binding the two together probably
I could see the port town sticking around in Spires for either. Sounds like Horde Garrison got abandoned going off of Mag'har pokes. The Alliance Garrison could be abandoned as well or turned into a small city that the Draenei have dominion over.
god this is such a cool little detail
the wildhammer chick in the warfront has a passive that has a storm around her
so anywhere she flies turns the sky cloudy and rainy and starts calling down lightning strikes
that sounds annoyingly OP in pvp
so uh
warfronts
theyre kind of really difficult to coordinate anything with 20 people
they need to make the npcs just a bit less coordinated orr slower
because players are individuals
and we arent using VO
even if we can
sounds like a personal problem
no
its an issue with coordinating a large scale battle
theres 20 other players
who might work together
but generally only want to help themselves
VOIP or not
So tell everyone to get into coms. if they don't wanna work together in an online game that requires that
we're coordinated in this one with just text
then sucks for everyone
i mean'
just gotta have someone who knows how to lead things
that's not an issue on blizz. that's a player issue.
since there are A LOT of mechanics
the number of mechanics is a blizzard issue
none of the mechanics are explained
you have to figure them all out
and theres a lot of them
they need a tutorial like with islands
might be that. but if no one wants to learn it. 🤷
its not that no one wants to learn it vris
there are no explanations given
you are dropped in a thing
and you dont have time to learn it
I don't see an issue there
I play games that have no explinations in em
the entire warfront basically is a tutorial
I don't see an issue with that practice
it has the commander and the goblin screaming exactly what to do
they give you directions
they dont explain which buildings are good
they dont tell you how troops function
I had no trouble on a previous run. Just don't bother too much at first. There's more chances to run them when they're live.
It looks like it's similar to the troops in HotS
sort of i think
(which you also don't control)
but they seem to pick random paths
which makes spawning them difficult
if i want healers, i dont want them to go the direction everyone isnt
i want them to go towards the players
to heal
also, why have an entire building dedicated to siege engines
if you can only spawn 3
and a player can have more than 1
so someone who saves iron could buy all 3 and thats it
I mean
building is wwasted
didn't they say that tehy wanted this to mimic RTS?
wouldn't that also imply upgrades?
Which upgrades are normally bought off of the buildings
for the units and junk
You're over-analyzing it I think. It's a PvE thing, so don't worry too much, as long as the Warfront progresses.
the only choice is which units you want to spawn
im not over analyzing
im trying to understand the point of some of the things
they pick the path that is least pushed
see? that would be helpful knowledge
I mean. you're saying blizz should compensate for player incompetence
I mean I learned it by looking at the map
no, im saying they should give explanations for anything
the fact that you can cut trees is explained
but only miners can mine iron
which seems a bit unintuitive
considering everyone can get wood
you have to go back to base to get your iron if you arent a miner
and you need to do that frequently
oh thats neat, the buildings are destroyed when you first land
so it actually is reclaiming the base that got destroyed
iron spawned all the time
plus the motherlode
but its strange that only miners can mine the iron, bbut anyone can chop trees
no in the mine, it spawns as mine carts
maybe its an over time
only miners can mine
no i was there for a while
however you can get iron from chest
no one else was there
also all of the zone is now updated, and you can explore it all
the minecarts were not spawning if they shoudve
im thinking i may have run into a bunch of bugs that make it seem like its artificially difficult
when it was really just a bit glitched
Hm, since when is a dagger not a one-handed melee weapon? ponders
game calls it a dagger, one handed melee weapon = axe sword mace
¯_(ツ)_/¯
that link doesnt work
Does for me.
Not in the open world, but the new stuff is with the arathi quests in mind, and the most recent build had an open world arathi phase ready
Oh
Shame, by the sound of it they need to add a system like GW2 uses for there WvWvW
Remember that Warfronts are PvE content, not PvP
shoutout to all the people that still remember me from when i first started
from when i had no rare mounts
and now i do have a rare mount or 2
interesting to see some zandalari architecture in those shots
i guess warfronts are going to not take place at launch then?
not zandalari, just generic troll stuff
wow! arathi looks so nice now
never seen darkspear architecture like this, you sure that's not zandalari? https://i.imgur.com/uSoN8tP.jpg
thats 100% zandalari architecture though
its literally straight from zuldazar
maybe its supposed to represent the grimtotem?
aren't the grimtotem a tauren tribe?
I find the horde war campaign very interesting
i find it could be better
if they just scrapped the whole thing and made neutral factions
Ion: what if we did something crazy, like abolish the factions
Some programmer: well, we built the faction system into the game code in like 1999 when we made the alpha version...
i bet most people would hate that unfortunately
also Ion: The best things are never easy
lol nah
Even if that pillar mostly just involves whining about bias
people are gonna whine about everything blizz does regardless.
the game would be better with neutral factions.
it would still have wars too, what with the fact that literally,
Every. Single. Expansion. Has had war in it from other factions/ groups.
it would still be warcraft without the pointless war
The thing is
Many characters would not go for that
Genn, defiantly Tyrande and Malfurion after BfA
I doubt Sylvanas
and those people would be cast to the side while people like Thrall, Anduin, Taran'zhu, the Black Prince, etc take the reins
You don't just throw them to the side
They all have heavy influences to their factions
they don't if the factions change enough so that their influence no longer matters
ooh, i forgot to include Saurfang on the list of neutral characters
i'm guessing they're either a hacker or a scammer
how do you know this?
no
... Blizzard hasn't given anyone any beta keys yet.
So, FYI, that person was full of it... and left the server on their own when no one bought it. Be careful with crap like that everyone.
As much as I'd like to get on the Beta and whatnot, I wouldn't try getting a beta key from any means other than official Blizzard posts/giveaways.
i mean
if they give out keys
as long as you dont need to give personal info or money
its no harm
because a strong of letters and numbers thats bullshit doesnt do anything
is that Vol'jin?
Well yeah. It's from ifunny
quick, someone replace Gru with Vol'jin in that
Yass
What's even in the original screenshot
Hey remember that time Genn voted to kill every last orc prisoner
no
all the orc prisoners were invading aliens, if the alliance had killed them all they wouldn't be unjustified, it still would've been morally wrong, but not evil.
Still surrendered prisoners by that point
but most of the horde players don't want a clearly deranged and flat villain to die for.... i don't even know
that they couldn't just release, or send back to where they came from, it was either kill them or imprison them, and after all the damage they caused, it makes some sense to have just executed them as a precaution, but instead teranis put them into camps to slowly wither and die, which ultimately led to the founding of the new horde
and it is when the founding of the new horde began when the entire HvA scheme should have ended
and if they had killed the orcs the world would've probably fallen to the legion since the orcs wouldn't have been there to help fight archi
during wc3
and the big-bad in TBC
That is the thing, yes
and the Lich King in Wrath
Orcs get 1/3 credit for saving the world
and Deathwing in Cata
and the void in Mists
and the legion in WoD
and the legion in Legion
and the void in BfA
so it's quite obvious that the horde are different now than they were when they first became residents of Azeroth
notice that the orcs actually caused half those problems tho, mists and wod, and if wod hadn't happened legion wouldn't have
Garrosh and his Hellscream's Horde was the problem in Mists and WoD though
and, by effect, legion as well
until the end of mists, it was stil just "the horde"
at the beginning of mists, it was just Garrosh
and again, if the orcs weren't around, garry wouldn't be, and then mists wouldn't have happened
"if the orcs weren't around"
wat
if they had fallen to the legion, TBC would have ended much worsely
and by effect, none of the later expacs would have happened.
this whole conversation was about if the humans had executed the orcs
yes, mb
had to scroll up
and I'm not sure about BC, the real big threat was Kael and KJ, and without the orcs I'm not sure what the belves would've done. All this assuming that the humans and night elves beat archimond in wc3
for sure without the orcs (really just thrall) deathwing would've won in cata
yep. the alliance and horde have been helping each other for over a decade.
but hey, it's only about 10 years of stupidity
so world quest emissaries dont give the chests anymore
of the 3 up right now, 1 gives war resources, the other two give artifact power'
and world quest rewards are pretty similar
but gold rewards seem to have been separated from resources
o no 😱
and azerite rewards right now seem a bit all over the place so im thinking that parts not finished
there are still gold world quests
they just only give gold
and resource ones only give resources
do pvp ones only give pvp :thonk:
o
isn't anybody else getting dced from BFA beta?
yes
turn graphics to 1
and make sure you are using dx11
it will be fixed tuesday
Any where I can give some screen grabs I have some from the third section of the horde war campaign that's extremely buggy
It's the section with Derek proudmoore
you can post them here
if they are any good, generally the staff will ask if they can use them
and then is how you get to there eventually I forgot to grab screens of the other quests but
are these max level quests for Horde?
they are the war campaign
after you raise the three dead people in drustvar/tiragarde/stormsong
I was able to do grab and go and turn it in as grab and go is extremely NYI
oh found the follow up to grab and go
@slate ingot Is Zelling willing, or was he forced to tell them about the artifact and to retrieve it ?
He from the quest I had was forced as nathanos has his family hostage
But the stuff to raise him is Nyi or bugged
As I'm missing drustvar and stormsong for the war campaign achievement
Right, that changes the whole context. If he wasn't being forced it would've been pretty dumb.
I have a picture posted from yesterday I think
When you turn in the artifact he says something about his family
Cause that dude was 100% willing
he wasnt
Hmm not sure if he is being forced
Nathanos threatened his family
The dude that begged Lillian to raise him so he could keep protecting his fmaily?
Yes
(and then, shocker, found out they didn't approve)
The picture I linked is confusing
In the first Pic he is like yeah this will allow us to win the war, and the other he's like oh lord I'm betraying my own people
read the last line
his family
is being used to force him
to help get a tidesage artifact
I mean he's helping the Horde invade Kul'tiras
He says 'promise my family will be safe', yes
they go to stormsong monastery to get a tide sage artifact
for what purpose dont know yet
But why is he in the previous Pic saying 'yay this will allow us to win the war!'
datamine broad cast text that and stormsong isnt testable yet because drustvar isnt working
because nathanos isnt there at the grave
so theres no way to test the two quests leading up to derek proudmoore granted you can do derek proudmoores quest stuff
this is the end result of strike on boralus + lillian voss as a follower
So I am confused, in one quest he's all 'oh lord can't believe this, betraying my own people.. promise my family will be safe..' And the other he's like 'yay this will allow us to win the war against the Kul Tiran'
@slate ingot Anything that could help ?
I guess where are you getting your information from
first
because his quests arent even testable yet
I mean TLDR hes the only one who can get them what they need in that rod
and hes doing what he can as effectively as he can
but until his story is available
I only grabbed what I could in screengrabs
with the biggest thing being derek proudmoore and the tidesage artifact dont know for what
https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/8ihadg/cairne_vs_baine_what_character_of_this_too_you/
Is this pic of Cairne real
Scepter is likely used to control the tides like a tidesage can
given that its probably used for something of that nature and zeiling was the only one who could perform the ritual to get it
he may be the only one who can use it
Doesn’t the text say that? Only he can perform the ritual
M O R A L L Y G R E Y
he only goes as far as retreiving the scepter with the player in the monastery in Boralus
keep in mind the horde has derek and the tide scepter a very important tidesage scepter
Maybe he destroys the scepter, or uses it against the Horde
who knows but being as far as I am Ill only know the last two im missing
basically i'll be able to get the story for the marshalls grave and then zeiling
Doubt it, seems like they’re trying to introduce more forsaken characters to the horde
Adding Thomas to my list of neutral characters... :P
How’d you get the scepter quests without his death stuff?
