My biggest tinfoil idea was that the Titans created Elune from the corpse of Y’shaarj, after it was stripped of its evil (the Sha).
We see Elune has a bunch of void corruption on the side we can’t see from Azeroth, while we’re on Elunaria.
So, I suspect Elune might be losing control, if my idea is correct.

Selling keys can be very easily avoided by enabling access directly on the battle.net account. Like give fansites a way of submitting a list of battle.net accounts to be activated for beta licenses (after they hold a contest for whom gets it of course)

If that username doesn’t use the key, you disable it

From what I've seen, there are still things unfinished/not yet implemented/not yet in their final form, so I expect those could use some external eyes. As well as people doing the unexpected. I have some experience building business software, and at some point you just get blind to the unexpected. And even with extensive internal testing, getting software out into the world tends to break it in interesting ways 😛
