When was the last time a night elf one did? To be perfectly honest.
Tyrande pushes away the nightborne with her indignation alone
BFA's literally burning down Teldrassil. š So I don't think they're putting much of a voice behind the night elves in the near future.
But anybody who's y'know, played one for years would know this already. We're just losing basically everything at this point. š
I mean
ABOUT TIME
basically getting pushed out of our own fucking continent like ffs blizz..
Tbf, Eastern Kingdoms has always been mostly Alliance-ey and New Kalimdor has always been mostly Horde-ey
New Kalimdor**
Tauren and other races usually had the south, then the Horde moved in.
They migjt be leaving the alpha build till friday, when the raid boss testing is?
If I was talking about Pre-Sundering I'd mention that, I'm not gonna say "new kalimdor" when everyone knows you preface the old one with presundering talk.
._.'
Nelves have a huge-ass tree and that one place
They canonically have / have had:
Teldrassil, Darkshore, Ashenvale (which included Felwood prior to its corruption), Hyjal, Winterspring, Stonetalon (before it became more contested during Cataclysm.), and Moonglade.
That is the majority of Northern Kalimdor.
Actually, before the Draenei crash landed. Azuremyst and Bloodmyst were theirs too.
It's just not really represented well in game.
But it's not the majority of kalimdor

Which is why you can find a night elven village totally destroyed whilst questing on a Draenei btw.
Just a huge chunk of the exodar kinda... smashed into it
ripperonis
What's sad is that a family there did survive---It was only after the radiation made the wildife insane that the wife died, the murloc and naga started to show up in full force, and the daughter got separated from her dad and thought he died whilst he thought she died.
https://us.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/7708811000
i hope we get this at some point. As well as undead paladins
(Yes, RPGs aren't canon, but still. Plague druids.)
But more seriously, undead should totally have paladins
Shadow paladins
Bliz needs to make Plagueshifters real
I wouldn't mind a void knight class, if they could figure out a class fantasy that isn't just DKs or sub rogues
That and I could do with a new class that isn't edgy
( t i n k e r s )
The not edgy classes outweigh the edgy classes tho
I think you meant bard
You could make the claim that literally any class is edgy and find justifiable reasons for your claim
The only part about priest that
s edgy is the void-y spec
as a whole, it's not edgy
and rogue, as a whole also isn't edgy

what do you mean rogues aren't edgy, how much edgier can you get than assassins and thieves?
...a lot edgier
Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker is pretty edgy, I must admit

i'm talking metaphorically obviously
And i was making funny joke
mb
Belated but
2 out of 3 new classes have been edgy
And necromancer is a fairly obvious option for the Bolvar expansion
Pretty much
I dunno -how- they'd design it
But the 'class' has been pretty prominent in the lore
There's only so many options for a new class that are rooted in pre existing lore
Unless they invent the bard guild of azeroth
But most are pretty similar to other classes
Oh for sure
Not very unique
I have no idea how they'd design it without cannabalizing unholy DKs and demo locks
But
I'm thinking in terms of class fantasy/narrative, not design/abilities
Admittedly, having a personal army of undead minions is pretty cool
But yes, unholy DKs and demo locks
So who knows
in before unholy DKs loose their coolest ability like demo locks lost metamorphosis
The difference between necros and DKs would be about the same as priests and paladins (ignoring shadow priests since they ruin the comparison)
similar fantasy yes, but they could still be unique in their own way
Melee vs caster and all
But unholy DKs still have that plagues and summoning minions
Which would be the necromancer's shtick
Because they clearly based the spec off that
true
we could see blood and rune magic tho
like what the blood trolls do
But they could also just make a green fire like questline to turn demo/aff locks into necros
Eh, I doubt they'd completely change the class (except only aesthetic wise)
A warlock is a warlock
They probably don't want to fiddle with that
A while back I thought of a neat idea for warlocks which was manipulating demons using an "eyes of the beast" type spell. Each demon you control could have a "metamorphosis" kind of empowerment except it's the warlock that is powering up the demon instead of the other way around. Using the eyes of the beast would increase duration of some of your demons summons, as well as granting it some cool utilities. There's a few problems with the idea, but would be a neat class/spec mechanic for a necromancer if not warlock.
in case anyones wondering that hasnt tested it yet on alpha, ulduar 10n isnt killable at all, i just got rekt hard to FL on normal 10, cant damage it past like 77% at 112, cause boss hp too high an the mechanic damage kills too quick
despite stacking the pyrite to 10 it did little at all to lower the hp
tested sunwell, all bosses were fine except kiljaeden and brutallus, the fire crap killed me which on live currently doesnt. aas for kj the fire bloom spell it has ticks like half your hp away before you can do anything but as a hunter i just turtled it an managed to heal with exhilaration
havent tried other wrath or bc raids tho
or vanilla for that matter
that could depend on your ilvl, dps, class, whether you're fighting alone, and probably others i can't think of
Stat squishes usually break old content in old raids.
Give them time in beta and they'll fix it.
today when i started my pc and turned the battle net app on
I saw it started to blink
i knew that there is something new
and yeah
you guessed it
i got
heroes of the storm update š
<.<
@broken kraken Agree on solo FL 10N...I went in with a hunter and I took forever to down Alysrazor. It was painful being BM hunter and my pets couldn't help me when I was in the air. I left the raid after that.
Just switch to MM ?
Yeah, they havenāt balanced old content at all yet
Current content on alpha isnāt balanced yet
I was already committed to the fight at that point.
They still need to add all the content before they worry about numbers
nod - at least I didn't have LUA errors popping up every time I blinked.
I understand it is alpha. I am interested in what others are seeing as well.
Well, no one really is testing old content because that feedback is currently worthless
Theyāve pretty openly stated that number balancing hasnāt started yet
I needed a change of scenery.
We still donāt have warfronts, most of the dungeons, max level content, the war campaign, and all of the other islands
I'm running a Lightforged hunter, couldn't get to Legion Dal (no portal in the keep), tried to do the Broken Isles beginning scenario but that broke. I'll see if I can do Pandaria so I can get to those portals next.
You really should focus on running the content they want you to test
This isnāt about what you want to do
An invite to the alpha is given a way for them to have more people test specific contentas
^
You are literally wasting blizzards time by doing what you are doing
you test what you get,you don't "oh I'll go back to Siege of orgrimmar to see how difficult it is" when literally only the new isles are scaled with the item squish atm
you are required to test Zandalar,Kultiras, island expeditions and the new dungeons, anything out of this,is both a waste of your and blizzards time, and you would be much more productive if you just reported relevant bugs instead of saying "REEEEEEE old content is too hard REEEEEE"
Nevermind. Only did FL to get a change of scenery. Tried to get to Broken Isles Dal to see if there were any lead-ins instead of being dumped in Kul Tiras. I was getting a bit frustrated with Kul Tiras.
well its alpha stuff is going to be broken and frustrating, quests are going to be bugged, uncompletable or even out of reach, but that's the entire goddamn point of the alpha
if you want only polished content, stop complaining and don't play the alpha entirely
Aww... I was hoping there was a way for Horde to sneak over there. š
technically there is,but only very few people were manually given the war campaign quest
that's the reason why there's like 3-4 alliance guys in voldun
@dense plover good point if raid testing is tomorrow it might drop tonight
Friday, April 13th
Zekāvoz, Herald of Nāzoth - Heroic Uldir
13:00 PDT (16:00 EDT, 22:00 CEST)
To participate, you need alpha access and a group of people to raid with
Theyāre supposed to
They said they would show up in one of the next builds
If not this one, then definitely the next
Yeah
yeah they're gonna scare us by saying BfA isn't actually coming out
nah i think that they will let some evil monster in the raid in jason style
with stats from legion ^^
I think they were joking Peach xD
Them saying beta is actually soon really makes me hope warfronts are today
I hope they get all the non raid content out before beta
They did state they won't call it beta until all core features are functional and out for the new expacs now.
@ruby star https://youtu.be/C2Sr-sadSk4
World of Warcraft Battle For Azeroth has a release date, it has an alpha, it is chock full of new features and playable allied races. But there's one thing m...
Yes we saw!
It completely covers just about every point in the High Elf threads on the forums
It was such an amazing video ā¤
wait Taliesin uses wowwiki instead of wowpedia?
it's honestly interswappable.since the source that heusedon that particular comment -is- still canon
in this specific instance maybe, but in general and by far wowpedia is infinitely more up to date or correct than wowwiki
Indeed.
He dodged a bullet on that one and I did leave a comment about fully using Wowpedia over Wowwiki
it's not even a competition thing, it's just that all the people who made up wowwiki left and created wowpedia instead (something like 10 years ago), so wowwiki is now an empty husk (who still get the fame because Wikia = Google results) while wowpedia gets like, i don't know, thousands of edits per day
oh?
ye. It's youtube. You can leave feedback down there.
I meant "oh" regarding him commenting on the wowwiki use
I am the one who left the comment about it
He also acknowledges that itās outdated info in the vid
Hit refresh. I am Desara Shadowleaf.
So is Locus Walker alliance?
Nope.
Like Valeera, he's just associated with a character of the Alliance. Not actually apart of the faction himself.
We have enough elves.
No such thing
Yes.
She swore herself to the Wrynn House.
but she's not an official member of the alliance.
Third party consultant
Tess Greymane is an Elf?
Math checks out
valeera got plenty of time to pump out wrynn babies
tess gots ten years tops
prollt
prolly*
Iām still banking on her becoming worgen, so probably more lol
Yep
still no hint of an alpha build?
maybe will come tomorrow along with the raid test
Yeah, Raid testing starts 21:00 BST (if your in UK) I'd expect the build to come out before it ready
Tomorrow for us US guys lol
Is he talking 21:00 tomorrow?
I typed it in google and it says 4 PM here...and it if 5 rn, has to be tomorrow xD
Zekāvoz, Herald of Nāzoth - Heroic Uldir
13:00 PDT (16:00 EDT, 22:00 CEST)
I converted it to 21:00 BST (for if your from UK)
Yeah but I'm sure the build will come out a little bit before
How old is Tess canonically or do we not know?
Ya, idk about her and anduin
Oh anduin we know for certain is 18 years of age
we just dont know when Tess was born
so we have no measurement of time
Tess was an adult in cataclysm so
This would be some Anakin and Padme shit
do not want
honestly, i just hope anduin finds a nice girlfriend and isnt forced into a storyline
doesnt have to be some important char
he's still a kid
ĀÆ_(ć)_/ĀÆ
I want Anduin - vris 2018
and then night elfon the throne next
too many elfs >:
he likes goats tho
cant blame him tho
his son/daughter would outlive all of his human subjects due to dat draenei blood
^
tbh iād prefer that because i like cliches
marriage to unite the horde and alliance
then sylvanas can fck off as anduin and orc-chan
will lead us against the void
horde and alliance
=D
don't worry, we'll just blow Sylvanas up with teh Vindicaaar

her fanboys will protect her from the lazor though
mfw we dont glass orgrimmar for the loss of teldrassil
what we even got the vindicaar for
I like the idea of him marrying a non human
its almost certain
if they pick tess, itāll be lame af
That and iām p sure
They want tess to be independent woman who dont need no man
respekt wamen~
but she is next in line
after daddy greymane
would be the lazy but easy story
of getting them 2 together
:/
lazyy
Think Anduin is confirmed to be 17 from Legion. Where is Anduin meant to like Draenei and dwarf stuff? Asking for a friend š
hes 18 in BFA
Source?
BfA is one year after legion
thats how expansions work
an expac is about 1 year long ingame
17+1 = 18
Anduin will be together with wrathion and then he will abolish that stupid hereditary monarchy
and then they will adopt

no
yes
just to be real
yes, blizzard likes to be inclusive.
but I don't see them making the leader of the alliance gay, nor do I see them disbanding the monarchy.
this is coming from me, who is bi
Just because he's a more sensitive and accepting man than any other Blizzard character doesn't make him gay.
He's non-toxic masculinity personified.
IMO I think he just likes goats more than humans
Not that he's for blame or anything. He was introduced to them in his early teen years.
i mean, who he likes and who he marries are irrelevant
when you are a king, you make the choice thats right for your kingdom
Tess is the most likely option
she is a different human kingdom
it would directly unite gilneas and stormwind as one kingdom
I remember Velens hair nt being white on Arugs
they're not going to write some complex love triangle for anduin sorry.
instead of two kingdoms united
he was like dark brown or black
^
Well if the fan base has told me anything about female Draeni, their member is bigger then his
And even then, they don't get ugly when they age like humans.
UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUh
we become wrinklebags
not slowed'
khadgar is similar
Lightforged are immortal.
he is not aging at the correct rate b/c medivh
Otherwise Honk, Turalyon wouldn't have his grey hair
he would look like he did when he left Outland
well
vris
thats not true
He has very clearly aged since Outland Peach
if you live forever, you might still run out of pigment for your hair
He likely got Lightforged after his hair went white. OR
oh i agree
It's a side effect of Lightforging.
that's my argument that he still ages.
See: Lightforged Draenei
Because very clearly he has aged
Clearly, Lightforging changes you.
Sounds like it too
Yes
He likely fought with the Army of the Light for a while, until they decided to Lightforge him when he proved himself worthy of the honor.
<_>
For a real example of Immortality: Tyrande
Tyrande isn't immortal.
The night elves were immortal before losing their blessing
She's over ten thousand years old now, much older than Turalyon
and hasn't aged a day. Same with the other draenei
The novels even say she's already starting to feel the effects of aging AFTER the loss of the World Tree.
She didn't age AT ALL while she was immortal
Immortality in WoW = no aging at all.
So then how has Faheera and the other Lightforged men not shown any aging, yet turalyon has?
What does that change though?
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Re-listen to the audio drama.
He and Alleria stayed with them for a while before they Lightforged him.
Thus
He aged.
He went from a young man to a grey fox, then Lightforged him.
Which halted his aging.
And made his hair white.
How I remember it was when he went to meet with Xe'ra he was Lightforged right then and there. There wasn't any time inbetween.
If your claim of Immortality=No aging at all, I have to ask how exactly do people grow into adulthood as immortals?
"Turalyon and Alleria trained aboard the Army's dimensional ship, the Xenedar. After many years, Turalyon was infused with the Light by Xe'ra, granting him immortality."
From Wowpedia.
WoW immortality basically works like this: they reach adulthood normally, then the aging ceases.
But that means they've aged as an immortal.
ffs
natural immortal*
Those born with it
Lightforged are unnaturally immortal, it's bestowed.
Are we really thinking it took him another 30 or 40 years for him to grow to Silver Fox status?
I'm saying what the lore says.
He didn't get on the ship and was just given immortality.
Xe'ra wanted to test him.
And the lore isn't specifically stating he stopped aging. that's just what you interpret immortality as.
We dont know if that's specifically because night elves just age slowly naturally or if it was the immortality taking effect.
so were night elf kids, children for 10k years?
that shes feeling the effects of aging
yet. No where else does it ever mention her aging.
Anywhere.
Legion is leading directly into BFA though.
a few years
Again, that still isn't an indication enough, for me, that it's caused immortality any differently with Turalyon. Let's assume that Immortality for the Night Elves did fully stop their aging
i'm done arguing this. We're going to agree to disagree, because I've stated what the lore says. You believe that Turalyon is going to turn into a wrinklebag eventually.
Because it makes 0 sense to me
that they wouldn't ya know
seal him in his PRIME AGE
and let him age to about 60
before stopping it
he is totally not 60
maybe he just has white hair from the lightforging?
To get to the facial features he has, that is about late 50s early 60s
and he is still young
not even talking the hair
Other than his hair, he really doesn't look that old
"Turalyon and Alleria trained aboard the Army's dimensional ship, the Xenedar. After many years, Turalyon was infused with the Light by Xe'ra, granting him immortality."
let's be real here
In ANY fantasy* setting
Have you seen an immortal turn into a wrinklebag.
No.
Yes. I have.
Elves in LOTR don't grow wrinkley and old.
Elves in Warhammer don't grow wrinkley and old.
Within Vampirism you see aging happen very often.
And Vamps are considerd immortal.
Depending on the source you take it from.
I've never seen vamps age in any setting
you're grasping at straws vris
not vamps
wat
vamps are magic undead, not your run of the mill zombie
Again the a few sources I've seen, mainly having to deal with more Nosferatu-esc vampires, do end up aging. It's at a very slow pace or tied to their drinking, but it still happens. Immortality as I've seen it is described in two ways: Completely haulting the aging process or slowed it down to a crawl.
Indeed. and I've seen fiction that has 'immortality' slow it to a crawl. The body withers and tries to die but some magic keeps it together. Normally forcing the immortal in question to seek a new one.
Do you see Night Elves running around trying to steal bodies?
No but we haven't seen the night elves without their immortality for more than a couple years. Which we know Kaldorei can live for thousands of years with very little to no aging as shown with Azshara's empire.
none of the known elves aged in the 10k years since the war of the ancients tho
like at all
thats
That's due to Nordrassil and Nozdormu's blessing
thought you said they still aged slowly tho
I hadn't?
I said we dont know if they age slowly and thus feel the aging process again since they lost their immortality for like what.
6 or 7 years?
This is how WoW Immortality works: you're born, you grow up, then you cease to age.
You live until you die of disease or are killed.
I dont know if thats the exact case as it's never specifically stated. š¤·
their immortality has been gone for longer than that, they lost it at the end of wc3 right?
and there was 10 years between wc3 and wow
or 11.
From the immortality page:
There was not 10 years.
"An immortal is a being who will not die of old age and is generally resistant to sickness and injury. Immortality does not confer an immunity to injury nor death by unnatural means. "
IDK length between vanilla and black temple, but black temple -> legion = 10 years
so it's at least 14 years that night elves have not been immortal
It's been 11 years since Nordrassil's burning.
Lorewise.
And Burning Crusade > Legion was 6 years.
More or less 1 year per expac, and as Vris said 4 years between ending of WC3 and beginning of WoW.
how does the wow calendar work? I know months and days are the same, but what year is it in wow?
So why were two highmountains killed off so needlessly in this artifact quest chain
I am talking like descendents of huln
Kinda seems like a waste
Because
Dick expansion of the hero
that's about it
and Green we dont know. Months and days -are not- the same
as Each expansion ends in 1 year. 2 years in the case of Cataclysm to Pandaria
Dick expansion - Vris 2018
the profession changes will that affects our current process? like i really wanna do some profession stuff but i scared after the changes it'll erase the datamind
months and days as in, they have monday, tuesday wendsday, thursday friday, january etc
but like it's 2018 in real life, what year is it in wow? did the calendar start over with the opening of the dark portal marking a new era?
wow still seems to be on a 12 month calendar, so they must be keeping track of time as the years go by, so what year is it in game?
Essentially yes.
Year 0 is the dark portal opening and the invasion of Azeroth
-10,000 is roughly the WoE event
so on so forth
@tropic trail None of the professions changes will remove your current stuff with the exception of First Aid. First aid will get bundled into Alchemy and Tailoring but any titles you earn remain.
alright thanks you so much
i hope we see shark-people in WoW at some point
http://prntscr.com/j4kyah
something like this maybe.
(This is from P101. If WoW were to do it, they'd have to do it differently, obvs)
i liked the aesthetic of p101
i thought cata to pandaria was still one year
doesnt chronicles 3 put them at one year apart?
Cata to pandaria has been a 2 year pause as far as I was aware. I hadnt heard tell of that changing.
There was no major time gap between cata and MoP. Only real time jump has been between MoP and WoD with the year of peace, and that lined up with real life anyways
Unless there was a different timeline published, the updated UVG states Cata to Pandaria was 2 years. o=
Legion info deems that not canon
Only four years between beginning of cata to beginning of legion, each xpac lasted a year and devs have confirmed the year of peace as canon
Where does it state that exactly? As Id not heard anything like that.
That itās been four years? Frost DK questline, fault lines comic
And are confused as to why Wowpedia would not update that onto the official timeline.
Even their unofficial timeline, which is more up to date than the official one, states it was a 2 year span of cataclysm to Pandaria. Beginning of cataclysm taking place on year 28 being the start and year 29 ending it with the Hour of Twilight and then year 30 being the invasion of Pandaria
Wowpedia isn't very up to date on a large chunk of wow as it is
Their timeline being off wouldn't be too suprising
Any examples? The official timeline hasnt been updated since 2016 in the UVG. Their unofficial one was updated just about a week ago today.
That seems pretty consistently updated.
Nevermind I mixed up Wowpedia with wowwiki my mistake
An honest one!
Vris why did you change your profile pic again
Year 30?
this is strange
i though that by this time there will be a patch news
some datamined info
We need an expansion that happens a day after the "endgame" ends. So like you wake up the next morning after killing C'thun only to wake up to see the demons ravaging the area around the Dark Portal.
Prepatch?
It probably wonāt take that long to come out for BFA. Itās most likely on the horizon
Maybe 2-4 weeks of beta and we have the prepatch. So I want to say May-June
We aren't even near beta tho. Still Alpha and I bet it will be Alpha until probably early next month. So Say, mid May to June and then as we get into July they will release prepatch probably
@dim flower Prepatch is confirmed to come around 4-6 weeks before BFA launches.
ye sadly. Ion or some other person on the team confirmed it. I can't remember it entirely.
Dont have to wonder that eitehr!
Straigh back orcs,
Teldrassil
Ohhhh
Well this is the spoilers chat so eh
But I guess theyāll have a quest chain
A progressive one you go through
If ya dont want spoilers, stay away from the spoiler chat =D
True
Pretty sure it was everything to do with the cinematic from what I heard.
Which is the Siege of Lordaeron and Burning of Teldrassil
Yeah
Mhm
as they happen very closly to each other.
Havenāt seen those yet
Now we didn't hear anything about Silithus part 2
So we're assuming it comes before then
cinematic ?
Yeah
what cinematic?
That of course assuming they didn't just scrap it
Silithus p. 2 and war quest p. 1
because it really feels like they just scrapped it at this point
Thatād be the second time they scrapped silithis
The Intro one to BFA.
Half of Silithus*
They did mention the other half of silithus in the first BFA QA
Oh they did?
They said it would arrive with the prepatch
I musta missed it.
Ye
Oh that sucks.
Must be p.1 of the chain
So the corruption of our artifacts and that junk?
Is prepatch might be a month long
any news what we are getting on the 25 this month ?
Yes
there are none Arg.
Because nothing actually came with the ending of the last Cultist cast, people are just now assuming its pure coincidence.
it seems too early for silithus quests to me
the next part of the silithus quests is about the corruption of out artefacts
i think that the best time for that is the stat squish in the pre patch
and with the corruption of the artefact blizz is free to disable the artefact traits
and ofc the disabling can be on bfa release
and again i might be wrong
My only issue
is that it'd be a month and a half
Since I need to use my artifact weapon still
Iām not running Heroic Antorus with a !@#%ing [Sharpened Letter Opener] lmao
Im not running mythic with an oversized can opener
Havenāt gotten there yet cuz I suck š
Well I can
But
I wonāt be accepted
945 ilvl TANK
Thatās why Iām leveling an arms warrior
Sick of tanking and I want to get accepted more
Even though Iām maining prot pally for ally /shrug
Actually, last cast coincided with the release of the silithus battleground
But either way
This one is probably beta
Considering how clear theyāve been that beta is almost ready
And that it is soon, not soon tm
even with removed artefact traits
our weapons will be useful
after all they will have their stats and ilvl
Yeah but the effects are so useful
I wonāt be able to get three stacks of Thrash on my target in one button press without that baby
Theyād have to tune down the whole raid
They won't disable artifact traits until BFA launch.
As long as we keep them until I can replace it, Iām fine
That makes no sense to do it in prepatch when Legion content is still current until launch.
^^^
How the fuck would people do Mage Tower if traits got disabled, for example?
OML
i think that we will need time to get used to those bfa dmg numbers
Guardian Druid with leggos disabled
Nah, theyāre just like
TBC numbers from what Iāve seen
guardian druids dont need artefacts š
you can lower bosses with your fists
... Mage Tower challenge is literally impossible without luffa and thrash traits.
^^^
For Guardian druids.
once pre patch hit there will be no mage tower ach
You could but you'd need twice as much gear---um
Rip
since like few months
... all legion-unlocks will be available until BFA hits
that is LITERALLY the point of Blizzard saying Mage Tower is limited.
you will not be able to get the mount when BFA hits nor the challenge appearances when BFA hits
that has ALWAYS been a thing
since MoP
What mount?
Prepatch is NOT BFA LAUNCH.
yeah
The arcane stormcrow ye
but the mage tower ach will be untill pre patch
Damn
I need to get heroic argy down soon
You realize that there's no point in keeping Mage Tower until BFA then if people can't get the apparances. Blizzard isn't doing that.
The achivement is what gives you the appearance unlock.
Anyone wanna carry a 945 druid tank through heroic Antorus?
I know the mech
s
LMAO
But seriously, this is going to give people the worst feeling of new-expansion-devolution ever
From Ashbringer to Cracked Bastard Sword of the Monkey
They aren't turning off artifact traits until BFA.
They aren't removing the Violet Spellwing or Challenge appearances until BFA.
I seriously don't understand where Argonia's getting this from and bruh, seriously. Where's the source?
Plus the devs, when they mentioned legendaries, they hinted towards something like the glaives or the shadowmourne (and true)
So if weāre getting the old āonly some classes get a legendaryā method
Iām excited
@steel venture i am still looking :/
:/ Since it's not there, all information. Even Wowheads interviews, states the exact opposite as to what you're sayin' fam.
We always get prepatch included in the timeframe required to wrap up stuff from the previous expansion.
They wouldn't break that formula now.
^^^
Weāll be safe from being extremely underpowered for current content.
Iām not buying Class Order Hall vendor greens
I do expect the stat squish with prepatch, however.
Professions probs with BFA
To get us used to those numbers.
And for them to actually tune old raids and such properly.
The profession squish that is
Except they stated they're not removing it with prepatch.
For the sixth time now.
because when you get the stat squish they may not update the challanges to them
LMAO
IMAGINE IF THEY DIDNT
DOING THE MAGE TOWER CHALLENGE WITH LIKE 500 STRENGTH
OR WHATEVER YOU USE
the tank challange will be interesting
Nah, man, theyād tune it
Thatās like saying they wouldnāt tune Antorus
Which would make the whole thing impossible.
The whole game impossible.
to show i am not making this stuff up
Except, that's not a source.
That's a bunch of people saying "I think it's prepatch."
There's no bluepost.
You can't use speculation to try and claim what you're saying is fact. When we know it's typically otherwise for expansions. They lowered the supplies needed for the Broken Shore buildings when 7.3 hit, they will likely do the same for 8.0 prepatch.
To make sure the buildings are up more and more often for people to wrap up what they need to get.
They have never removed challenge rewards until the next expansion offically hits.
MoP Challenge gear was still available in WoD prepatch.
WoD Challenge weapons were still avaiable in Legion prepatch.
etc.
The respective mounts didn't go away either until the expansion launched.
yup
AotC and heroic mounts do not go away with prepatch, they go away with xpac launch. source: myself, since I got the korkron juggernaut and the friendship moose post-prepatch. Mage tower is different but the artifacts will still be used then
Well we're also talking the Challenge Mode rewards
Pre-patch is the absolute last chance to get them.
is someone going to stream the raid test ?
Probably someone in fatboss or any of the other high end raiders will
No I know, Challenge rewards always are like, "Hey prepatch is your last minute chance to get these before they're gone forever!"
Argonia was trying to claim that we won't even get the challenge skins anymore in prepatch :/
Oh yea no. I agree with you Nile and was enforcing what you were saying as Port didn't list CM rewards.
In which port, the Juggernaut is just the mythic mount at 100% drop rate. the War Wolf is the AOTC mount
Which for Antorus, that's the Ur'zul that's 100% right now, as well as the past one with the Mythic Gul'dan mount. The AotC mount is the Violet Spellwing.
Especially when the Violet Stormwing literally is a mount that's been in the files for ages.
:/
It's just an arcane version of Ruhkmar's mount.
yea. Unlike War Wolf, which at the time, was its own unique wolf model and only seen as a raid add.
korkron war wolf was ahead of its time, I tell ya
still the best wolf mount around IMO
110%
And unlike the Grove Warden, yes---we did get multiple moose and wolves after both the War Wolf and Grove Warden, but none of them 100% replicated it.
gonna match the maghar great too
I'm sad I missed the War Wolf š
But the group I was going to snag it with fell apart.
I remember the stats got released for garrosh kills.
Only like 30% of all pulls ended in a kill. That was nuts.
Oh whatās up with these transmogs Iāve been seeing
Like I saw this really cool light sword introduced in legion on this one guy
Idk what itās called
Forgot
Didn't he also drop heirlooms?
Post a screen shot of it?
I donāt have one
*During the expac
Yea he did. He dropped all the horde PVP weapons as heirlooms
I can't really help without an actual look or name =/
Nope.
Okay
There are the army of the light weapons from the 'kill all rares' achieve.
If that's maybe what you say?
Well
If it helpā
Maybe
If it helps there arenāt that many Legion weapon modes
Models*
Go kill all rares on Argus
no problem
I remember the last boss I needed was Sorolis, which was a pain in my ass to find because he would spawn the days I never bothered wanting to kill him, but when it came down to when I wanted to kill
Hard to find ;-;
Yea it'll take a few days
maybe even a week. Cuz some of the rares just dont want to spawn in as rares
and killing them as elites does not count
Just use personal groups?
Or the Lightforged Warmachine
And server hop?
Well, Sorolis doesn't have a mission behind him
Ah
since -most- of the rares are tied to WQs
they do change daily at least.
and, to my knowledge, they can't spawn in as a WQ twice in a row.
Yeah, pretty sure they can't
I want to go to Vuldum and that one luscious grassland in KulāTiras
But letās be honest
We all know the last raid is in Wetlands
Honestly reminds me of Uldum
vol'dun is miles better(and different) than any desert zone we've got so far, feels like the level designers learned their lesson
Eh. I rather like Uldum. Voldun doesn't really seem all that different for me.
I think Uldum looks amazing, especially around the Vir'naal and the obelisks.
(And the blatant Indiana Jones reference makes it better)
to me, comparing uldum and voldun is like comparing egypt and death valley
theyre both deserts with sand
Both hot.
the comparrison ends there
thats actually pretty apt, uldum is an egyptian desert, vol'dun is very much a north american one
It's the Sonoran desert.
voldun has big jutting pieces of rock, salt plains, no rivers
dried trees, vultures, insects
might just be cause I visit sometimes, but I like the southeast cali/arizona desert feel
it honestly reminds me of death valley if a native culture lived there
arizona is a good example too
Uldum has vultures, and insects.
Yea Im glad to not have to spend to long there then. Doesn't sound that great to me.
Vol'dun is a better version than Uldum on all accounts, from the very esthetics to the titan pyramids and the conflicts within the existing empire (tol'vir / sethrak) and so on. It'll always be such a shame that such an important place as Uldum had its entire storyline turned into a gigantic meme-land, and awkward cinematics.
plus its got snakes and fuckin annoying foxes, definitely an american desert
I rather liked Uldum and Vol'dun just doesn't sound that fun.
^^
i like uldum
and voldun seems like fun
it has an interesting story, a new aesthetic
and its big
I think its just me then.
80% of Uldum was pop culture references and following Harrison Jones into his joke adventures and awkward, sound-less cinematics.
the zones in BfA are so big
yea and I enjoyed myself.
Ew.
In public ?
i liked uldum too
I'm just stating
it was pretty
It does not sound like I will enjoy myself
It sounds a lot more empty. Less things to actually see as I prefer the Egyptian aesthetic because despite it also being a desert, there's luscious life there. I love that sort of contrast.
its not empty
It actually sounds pretty cool, a mix of loa & serpent people stuff and Old God and Zandalari shenanigans (and fox people but that may not be to everyone's taste). There's still a few things to fix though, the sethrak empire's backstory has some inconsistencies.
its more of an american desert though, so it looks dead on the surface
there's actually more quests in voldun than nazmir probably
Again I'm sure it does
some weird stuff
And Uldum had two different zones that seemed completely different, had a mostly barren desert to a lush marsh filled with trees and crocolisks.
azerite stuff
but I'm just not seeing/hearing it
cant post images here <.<
Links exist m9
http://wow.zamimg.com/uploads/screenshots/normal/721053.jpg this is the only interesting screen shot I see
its definitely just you
I've been saying that?
is the sethrak "castle" pic in that post?
wasnt sure
can't upload t
now i am
Like.
My opinion is that it doesn't sound all that great.
Maybe because I never specifically said 'My opinion' that it wasn't clear?
I bet if it had sidequests involving high elves you would say it to be the most interesting zone ever
o.o
Not really.
Plus, Egyptian culture has always been more fascinating to me tbh
there is an oasis area
The aesthetics of the zone just dont please me. Same with Hinterlands.
and yea, same goes for me Lilo.
Like yea the Sethrak archetecture is neat to see. But that's not the entire zone. It just looks and feels empty.
well this one has unique architecture and culture that isn't plagiarized and adapted from popular culture(Egypt)
also yes there is an oasis with a really fun questline in there,
and It has more troll structures than you imagine, the only "sand dunes only parts" are extremely minimal
yet those are the parts WoWhead felt the need to screenshot over and over and over.
^^
If it really doesn't look as presented, then OK maybe my opinion changes when I actually touch ground in game
And plus, Uldum has been one of those zones that's existed, but never at the players hands
always* I should say
but so far, out of everything I've seen, it just isn't that great as everyones making it out to be
So it might also be expectations vs reality
"You think you do, but you really don't"
well I could pm you some nice shots of cool things to see when I get back,I assure you there's lots to see
also,on a second point, voldun technically has always existed too, just that it was lush forests zuldazar 2.0 until the sethrak started spreading sand everywhere
also I've actually finished the zone on the alpha
Yea but vulpera and horde biased. Y'all have constantly praised it like its the next coming of SoO.
and it looks to be expanding from now since launch, because there is an area with floating questgivers,so unless they delete them entirely,it may be expanded more for a sidequest or two
I agree to that Vris, but I do hope it doesn't fall flat like SoO, I do hope it is good, but I don't think it'd be good too
I don't think its the best zone of the xpac, Zuldazar and Stormsong are tied for that, but it's good looking IMO
IMO they did a better job than uldum, because in the end all uldum was is an overly drawn out Indiana Jones meme, with very little actual story for the races in the zone
Bringing freedom to Voldun.
Honestly the quests had very little to do with my enjoyment of the zone overall. I was also much younger and didn't mind the memey quests.
Personally, I'm one of those people who would like to judge when I try it, but Voldun seems like one of those places that just won't hold up with the powerhouse zones that are aesthetically better, gameplay is better, and etc.
How old are you?
23 right now. So I was an Edgy teen when I first went through it.
Nice
I prefer the aesthetic of Volādun, but thatās all I can say
It's just easier to the sake of being lazy to just type Voldun
I like the lizard people who will soon control our governments
Or snake people
Whatever
Don't get me wrong, there are things -in the zone- that I quite like.
But it doesn't save the zone as a whole for me.
I havenāt leveled in it
No alpha access
I can only speak on an aesthetical basis
And even then
I would probably just hand mine off if I did get it
I havenāt done enough Uldum to compare them
Neither have I. All my opinions are based off of is people playing through it, screenshots and peoples praise.
So Iām just going to say Tanaris is the best desert.
Nah.
lmaooo
Ahn'Qiraj is
thinks youāre gonna say Silithus
names the least important part of the zone in terms of quests
Couldn't remember the exact name
fair nuff
AQ is its own zone
Tmw you remember AhnāQiraj and itās exact spelling but not Silithus.
Yeah but itās basically Silithus.
Not really.
Mmm...yeah, it is.
Ahn'Qiraj has it's own zone in the world map
