it cant be that bad
So yeah, holy Forsaken priests are super hardcore
the dks in goldshire seem pretty happy
š
Vris, Saoirse is on your faction
and?
š¤¦
OK. Cool
Goldshire
alliance > horde > The Consortiumā¢
honestly goldshrie isnt as bad as people say
Azeroth<All
at least on argent dawn
it is on Moonguard
you've never been to moonguard then
Azeroth > All
I remember going there once for the lols
#NoLivesMatter
#KillAll
I Might vist it on friday
Other way around Edgy
Moonguard + Goldshire = no more characters on that server ever again
no
All < Azeroth
i wonder where the horde goldshire will be now that undercity is gonna be gone
Azeroth is the name of the lower half of Eastern kingdoms
I cant wait to see all the blood elf refugees in goldshire
ive already seen like 10 the other day
honestly, I just want them to put the heirloom vendor in Org, since ours was in the undercity
all i want this xpac
hes probably gnona be in the embassy
Put the Heirloom vendor in Dalaran if the factions merge
"10/10 expac, heirloom vendor now in org"
Hes probably gonna be in the trash
8/10 expac
undead are still slouched
along with the rest of orgimar
but are they moving Dal again? have we heard yet?
kinda hoping dalaran is destroyed by Azshara and it falls into the sea.
the xpac is 2/10 i cant make my forsaken use his rotten arm as a sword
ooh.
ooh.
floating island? bliz, make it happen
but you can have a forsaken use his arm as a spell focus Saoirse
āYeah, you guys dont get your island anymore, I saw what you did with it in Wrath and Legion.ā
Wait seriously!?
yep
looks like im rolling horde bois
man, I hope that happens
wdym you saw what we did.
you have no proof
I could imagine her knocking it out of the sky
i think its just gonna end up in the alliance island floating
@grand grail
http://www.wowhead.com/item=40273/surplus-limb
enjoy
or it getting knocked out of the sky and falling into the water
And stealing the Pillars of Creation
and floating
And using them to release Nāzoth
Actually
Iām p sure thatās what is going to happen.
You sure about that?
What better way to show the might of the greatest mage in the world?
They'll probably just leave it in the broken isles
#FloatingDalaran2018
I think jaina will 1up azshara
#SunkenHonkerton2018
Into the Maelstorm we go boys!
maelstrom*
"Some men just want to watch the world burn"
isn't the maelstrom much bigger than Dalaran
it would sink.
either into Deepholm or into the bottom of the sea
use Dalaran as a Giant cork you say? well gather more nethershards for me and we shall try!
but ye
"Get me 4999 Nether Shards pls"
i hope they update water animations at some point
what do you guys think abuot the possibilty of night elf worgen to be an allied race
it looks really blocky now
im all for it if it means they fix the female worgens god damn model
nelf worgen are just regular worgen
she looks like a chiuaua
ive seen some cool designs wth like antlers and different colour fur
my theory is that they're going to use sethrak as an excuse to rework the worgens
as the sethrak use the worgen male model with a custom snake head
actually, chihuahas are preferable imo to the current female worgen model
I want a basset hound...
Gnome Worgen canāt exist sadly
yeah
Sadly thats not how worgen work
gnomes have no connection to the emerald dream
its the same reason worgen are gilneans
and not just humans
technically night elves could be worgen
but they wouldnt
not intentionally
Well, gnomes are the only race actually fully confirmed for ācannot be turnedā
Kul'tirans don't have any known connection the emerald dream but look at those druids
so, kul'tiran worgen would be do-able probably
but why tho
Just like every race could be forsaken, I doubt we will see Nelf worgens, just because they exist
well yes but harvest druids are a different sort of druid than other druids
why they called harvest druids if they're normal druids
and kul tiran druids are different than normal druids
slightly different type of magic
they learned differently
its like tying your shoes
theres a bunch of ways to tie them
but they all do practically the same thing in the end
issue with nelf worgen: they allied with sylvanas
it's like tying your shoes?
so they can do it without entering another dimension?
It looks like we might not be getting an alpha build today, feels bad man
What Honk?
Sylvanas made a deal with the Alpha Prime to attack Gilneas.
There are friendly night elf Worgen in Felwood
Alpha Prime is the one who sent the worgen in first, to soften the Gilneans up.
He also started the Wolf Cult.
Huh forgot about that
So
I mean
Donāt expect Night Elf Worgen to be Alliance.
They already are Alliance :/
no
At that point they are neutral
wasn't that worgen who was a leader of the rebellion a nelf worgen
And yea. You also forget that Darius was going around and putting all the remaining worgen into the gilnean ranks
Feral, nelf or otherwuse
still plenty of time drorith
Otherwise*
builds have come out as late as 7 or 8 EST
āA few of us here have lived in this land since the Scythe of Elune first passed through it. Most suffered through the fall of Gilneas.ā She and her pack have been there since the war of the satyr, and are in an alliance base
The Night Elven worgen under Alpha Prime HATE the Druids.
They blame them for their imprisonment.
@dense plover Ah yeah that's a valid point!
They do. But. They still turn to Darius and Gilneas against the Forsaken.
so, do they also hate themselves? š¤
You guys discussing Nigh Elf worgen allied race or something lore wise or?
we're just discussing drivel
Oooooh ok
The Horde could use a worgen type
you mean, tauren?
I mean lore wise, there already are alliance aligned Kaldorei Worgen. And the ones who arenāt are dead as far as we know
NElf worgen make no sense design wise
All the remaining worgen are with the alliance.
āHere, play a worgen, except itās a purple worgen. Cool.ā
Itās an interesting idea for horde Worgen, but it wouldnāt happen
Unless they get a new class combo or customizations
ARCANE BELF WORGEN
But we see Worgen of night elf infection
it's not an interesting idea
ftw
it's a dumb idea
Theyre the EXACT SAME as gilnean worgen
'here's a purple elf-worgen...but you'll see the worgen form 80% of the time'
and nelfs siding with horde would not make sense either
gimme ghostly purple worgen
Anyone with a vulpera icon has no right to call anything dumb
'and it's the exact same as the human-worgen'
Someone get the 'too many animal people in WoW' post
Lightforged are barely different from normal Draenei. So no, I donāt want Worgen Type 2 for Alliance.
this coming from someone with santa claus as their icon, port?
Thats the point of allied racea Honk
But night elf Worgen in alliance make plenty of sense. They can make them more or less feral if they need, give them more Druidic attributes
different versions of base races
Theyre not replacing normal races, just alterations and diversion among the base ones
its why mogu as an allied race is ridiculouys
Iād rather the Horde get access to a Worgen type
they
already
exist
you cant say something doesnt make sense when it has lore and stuff
Iād have rather the Horde got Eredar rather than we get Lightforged.
MOGU ALLIED RICE WOULD BE AWESOME
Tfw furries hate other furries ššš
FOR THE OLD GODS
Uncorrupted Arakkoa allied race when
The furry community vehemently hate each other smaller part of it
Furries ruined furries
never
kaldorei worgen would be a nice allied race, if they actually somehow had relevancy. but we already wrapped up the emerald dream SOOOOOOOOOOOO
yeah rip to that idea
because aarakoa are not a variation on an existing race
It's just like High Elves and Wildhammer dwarves make sense as an allied race as they are already apart of the ALliancce ;D
And Nile
They are the same as gilnean worgen
I mean they got unwrapped in cata
but not in the current setting
Theres no difference
mogu use the same skeleton as the pandaren
also we are getting a new dwarf race
^
maybe with the new hearthstone expansion, they'll introduce night elf worgen as looking different
oh
im not saying we should
just like i disagree with high elves
but lore wise
they do exist
o rly
If they do its strickly for hearthstone
Like Liams ghost
In which the full card dump happened green
i want SETHRAK
sethrakk wont happen either
helmets dont work
and SETHRAK
helmets do work
or most armor
And no night elves anywhere
uhm
you don't work
the armor they have
turtle people first showed up in hearthstone
night elven worgen like alpha prime were more typically depicted like your usual hollywood "wolfman" ragged, and short coarse patches of fur on otherwise unfurred areas, at least in some art. ĀÆ_(ć)_/ĀÆ
it build into the model
Helmets work as well as Worgen or Tauren
just sayin
they would "work" like they "work" on worgen/tauren
but they currently dont
@dense plover
all allied races currently wip have hints that they would function
if you support sethrak why are you hating on vulpera tho š¤
No nelves in this expac of hearthstone
you arent reading what im writing
beast race helms are shitty lol
in general

they wont look good but can easily be attached
sethrakk arent currently implemented in any way as a possible race
they cant equip any armor
um
just weapons
are you okay
why would they want to have more races with bad helmets?
yeah sethrak aren't implemented as possible race righ tnow
@dense plover You can say the same about Nightborne
it was a mistake honestly
you were a mistake
Blizzard might make Sethrak playable by the end of the expac.
vulpera are copied goblins
I mean, theyāre setting up a bit of Alliance leaning with sethrak like they did with nightborne and Horde
they worked from the very first build
fox bois
better wolf bois
walrus bois
snek bois
stoned bois
mogu bois
the alliance have the same amount of interaction with the sethrakk as the horde does i thought
sethrak / vulpera are pretty clear that they're being set up for a possible allied race
no
they dont
I cant wait for Hordies to feel the sting of helping a faction, only for them to go to the other faction.
they both meet a faction of nice sethrakk
alliance saves them multiple times
no in the first build they were not an NPC race
horde only works with them out of convinence.
They donāt, Alliance save vorrik from a faithless camp, then save his life from poison
^
Horde happens upon him in a cage
it feels like those arent the evil sethrakk
and the alliance have a forward camp in the region
Horde saves Serrik,alliance saves Vorrik
right near the sethrak
alliance have camps in each region
thats how the war campaign works
same with horde on kul tiras
yes they might ally with the sethrakk
horde intimately works with the vulpera, but not so much with the sethrak.
at least the not-evil ones
Yes and in the campaign they ally with the leader of the friendly sethrak
they work with the sethrakk
Alliance interaction with sethrak ends at the temple of the devoted part of the questline, horde interaction continues for a bit,and ends in the confrontation with emperor korthek and the sand troll guy
dude peach
and i dont think there is a rep for them on either side
Porter is in the beta
i know
I think he gets it
i am in the alpha too peach
im not arguing with porter
Horde gets Vulpera rep faction
There is no rep atm, correct, the alliance one is limited because of only having part one of the war campaign atm
tbh tho, if Horde do get Vulpera, the Alliance needs an equivalent.
or well, a Vol'dun faction
they dont have to be from the same zone
i want to see snek people, fox people, walrus people, jinyu, void orcs, and others
Weād need an allied race
hell, quilboar seem more likely
-if- the Horde gets vulpera
we need SETHRAK
they use the tauren skeleton
I think it was mentioned that every faction has 3 reps on their continent, a "war" rep faction on the entire other continent, 2 neutral reps and some gimmick like Kirin Tor
FOR THE SETHRAK
quilboar would be okay, but only ONE type of quilboar uses the tauren skeleton
FOR THE QUEL'DOREI
yeah
and those are the giant brutes
yep
Vulpera still aren't confirmed, after all
Quillboar arent likeable tho
the others use the old skeleto
stop drorith it's totally uncalled for
FOR THE SNEK'DOREI
not saying its confirmed in any way
apparently it's nonsense to refer to a reason using X skeleton
And given KTs and Zandas probably aren't out until 7.1
no it isnt
@strange falcon No it's not
thats the opposite of nonsense
I want Gnolls, but theyād fit better on the Horde.
We might meet entirely new races in 7.1 or 7.2 or 7.3
yep
because the new race animations are compatible with all races
Of which one could be the Alliance counterpart
Sethrak use a modified Worgen skeleton tho
^
8.3
modified
I mean
also
which is why Kul Tirans use animations of like 3 different races
almost all the sethrakk models have armor built in
After all, we didn't meet Lightforged until 7.3
Just like vulpera use a modified goblin skeleton
yeah
modified skeletons means its more likely
but if you have armor built in its less likely
they had to remake nightborne for that reason
except
nightborne.
Weāll see
and zandalari.
zandalari are made
they were entirely geosets before
no
Tbh, I think Blizzard didnt expext Sethrak to be so well liked
There are naked sethrak models, just a matter of making them player customization models
yyyyyyyyyyyyeah they did
zandalari were created with allied races in mind
I want Gnolls
I want Gnolls ever since seeing them in Warcraft Traveler
all of the zandalari npcs that arent super special have access to the same things as players
zandalari are based on the MoP zandalaris tho
no they arent
yes they are
yes they are.
its both modified night elf male skeletons
if sethrak actually do come out,it will be my only alliance character
dude
no
zandalari is a mix of the troll and night elf model
its modified nelf male skeleton
its a mix of two
.-.
zandalari use nothing of the troll model
the old zandalari were not that
porter
WALK INSIDE.
the PC zandalari use the same shit as the NPC Zandalari did
back me up here
ALL OF THE NPC ZANDALARI WALK LIKE NELF MEN
yeah
AND SIT LIKE NELF MEN.
bottom half is nelf
they are of course remade like the nightborne
I think the point is, sethrak wouldnāt be the first race to be modified to become a player compatible model. It happened to nightborne, happened go Zandalari, if vulpera become a playable race it happened to them too
top is troll
what
you realize its a new animation system right?
they don't have the troll attack animations
that means its even more likely.
they have completely new attack animations for unarmed
and nelf animations otherwise
and, actually, zandalari men borrow more animations from male nightborne than male trolls
ya
for the new models
gnoll female gives me hope
hence why the stance is almost the same too
gnoll female bigger than male gnoll too
***hyenas dont bark
I want to be able to spam hyena laughs as a gnoll.
attack animations arent
just looked
the bottom half shares the same movement as night elf during 2H attack
but the top is not
its similar
but it doesnt match up
Gnolls for Horde.
Might be a problem.
dark trolls for alliance 8)
i think the gnolls would probably join the alliance
what?
er
tauren dont eat gnolls
theyve been more associated with the alliance
where the fuck is that coming from?
where would tauren even meet gnolls
Gnoll Wars @grand grail
Yes they do. WoW: Traveler is canon m8.
also we could get a reformed hogger as a faction leader
is it?
Stormwind was almost destroyed by Gnolls before the First War
they eat quilboar actually
Reformed hogger? Nah
there are no gnolls near tauren
Hogger for Horde leader.
i kinda hope hogger gets revived by the old gods
hogger never dies
so the corrupted hogger card becomes canon
just a minor setback
Feralas and Desolace tauren eat gnolls.
If we have an old god expac we better get a new hogger quest
Hogger is like Saurfang, he canāt die lol
And there are gnolls in mulgore too, but it wasn't 100% confirmed there in Traveler.
and Saurfang stays in alliance prison
and have him be in the first zone of the new area but be max level
where Hogger is at
Murlocs are eaten by humans.
coincidence? I think not
Saurfang introduces gnolls to alliance confirmed
Iām disappointed they didnāt make hogger scale to max level
maybe it's not really hogger
Saurfang marries anduin confirmed
...yes there are gnolls in quilboar what
--
and quilboar*
in mulgore
like gnolls
Anyhow
According to lore, Gnolls are on average not very bright, but their main issue is lack of education
man y'all tryin to say i'm not spouting out canon when y'all forget the basic, starting zone npcs of areas
The Darkmoon Faire gnoll speaks fluent common.
https://twitter.com/Llorewalker/status/981271922875940864
^ also confirmation of the Traveler series being canon.
Since someone asked earlier: The events of Traveler are indeed canonical. However, it's good to know that the series was intended (from the very beginning) to be a story told from a different perspective when compared to our other expanded uni...
^
Quillboar, humans, sea people, trogs, forest critters?
It's "told from a different perspective" because we're viewing it from the eyes of not really adventurers just, a bunch of kids.
Warcraft Travelerās second book confirmed that the new Forsaken lack free will.
Theyāre slaves to the Valākyr, and thus Sylvanas.
well its also from npc pov
chronicles for example is not a pov book
its a direct explanation of lore
Yeah, it's a band of kids going about and experiencing things and it documents their travels. Hence why Aram is an artist, so Blizzard could make in-universe sketches of concepts they didn't really fully explore before.
the series better end with them getting ganked by a level 58 death knight
Ye. Its funny tho. Blizzard has to repeatedly say Warcraft Traveler is canon, because people like to say āKIDS BOOKā
When really itās a teen book.
An ogre dies bleeding from his eyes and nose after a scorpid sting.
Thatās not a kids book
https://d1u5p3l4wpay3k.cloudfront.net/wowpedia/a/af/Traveler_The_Bone_Pile.jpg?version=203e356f27e01055b75edf4ec44299f3
These minors mean buisness. //sagenod
(Yes they survive that.)
So yeah. Sylvanas isnāt āgiving people a second chance at life.ā Sheās enslaving them.
I see a murloc, allied race š
Also look at the variety of the skeletons!!! That's SUCH a rad detail, there's harpy, tauren, gnolls, quillboar, etc.
Slyvannas is the new litch king tbh
Travelerās fun, because itās basically a story starring mostly races you never hear much from.
Bolv is the new Lich King
It also confirmed that black humans hail from Stranglethorn.
... If I recall the only member of Aram's group that like, isn't a minor is Makasa. She's 19, barely not a minor.
That aren't like the supporting NPCs of the Wavecutter crew, I mean.
but yeah
Traveler also confirmed that the Quillboar have stopped attacking the Horde, and mostly keep to themselves after Cataclysm.
Slyv is more of a litch king then bolv
https://wow.gamepedia.com/File:Traveler-Bloodhorn.jpg
Oh right: Female tauren with a beard, btw.
Aka, they got beat into submission.
it's just lich, not litch btw
Slyvs the one raising the scourge 2.0
Is she trans?
Im mildy pissed that female dwarfs cant have beards
which are hairy to the max
its the only thing in the tolkien stories thats never been stolen
She has a title Banshee Queen, also we donāt know what Bolv is doing yet, so chances are he is behind it, he has been busy you know
Female Dwarves having beards was mostly retconned from D&D as well. @grand grail
nah, im ok with no beards for fem dwarves
without it theyre just small humans that sound scottish
https://d1u5p3l4wpay3k.cloudfront.net/wowpedia/3/3e/Traveler_Yeti_and_Woodpaw_Feast.jpg?version=afe1a7d7a2dada8231ebb1182e41906c
Another example of Gnolls being pretty lax though in Traveler.
Able to chill with a Yeti without either of them killing one another.
You make small Scottish women sound like a bad thing
Its a great thing
Lol
im rollng a female dwarf monk just to type the accent
@steel venture Depends on the tribe
I already use eejit and bloke daily so it wont be that hard for me
Gnolls are like people now. They have differing views between tribes.
nah thats rascist
Lol
Ah yes, walking below the low wind lol
its a shame that you cant say cunt in wow it really breaks the immersion as a scottish dwarf
Take off language filter
wait
Lol
you can take off the language filter!?
Ya
omfg awesommeeee
š¤£
:D
Options are friends, not food
I Wish we could play as those deer people
Dryads are literally born from acorns in WoW.
like make a special kind that can shapeshift a human half or somethign
theyre like the only race i really really want even though im never gonna get it
Druids whisper to them about things they need to know over years.
Then they water them
And in seconds, dryad.
Boom magic
Yep! They're basically plants that look like people.
That does seem to be what Traveler is implying too, as Taryndrella literally bursts from the acorn from a flower and then the rest of her body forms from vines, then what looks like flesh, then her skin and fur.
Theyāre born fully adult tho
I wonder what a dyrad a KT druid talks to would look like? Probably boney
Aram comments on that.
There are no baby/kid dryads though
They're not fully adults when they come out of the acorn, but they are old enough to defend themselves.
They are like naga, only size changes
He even mentions that she looks just like his age, which is around 12-13ish.
Teen dryads at most
But ye
Theyāre cool
I want playable dryads and keepers of the grove
Doubt that, they work with the circle, which is neutral, and no more neutral races
I prefer the Legion female satyr design more TBH.
The one that was going to be modeled but then was cut.
i thought satyr was those red demon people
That was a nightmare satyr @steel venture
I want playable satyr for Horde
like full coat of fur, fuzzy.
Satyr and horde barely meet though
I wouldnt be surprised if there are communities of repentent satyrs
Uh
@sharp bluff ashenvale
Oh there are repentant satyr.
Who would recruit satyr anyways?
No I mean who
Forsaken? Blood Elves?
They can literally use
The Draenei skeleton
So the Horde can get Horde āDraeneiā
I'd assume who might recruit them actually would more likely be Tauren. As they do seem to wish to help "save" monsters at times. EX: It was Hamuul that petitioned for the Forsaken.
^ THAT IS CANON.
Hmmm I canāt see it, no alliance Tauren
Grimtotem could easily go Alliance.
^
They technically did during Cata for a period of time.
Playable Satyr in general would be pretty damn nice.
And actually, correct me if I'm wrong but dont the new HD satyr use modified draenei and tauren animations anyway?
But ya I canāt see a Tauren rig for alliance so idk
Hm.
Possible solution:
Horde Satyr and Alliance "Faun." (Keepers and dryads with two legs instead of four, based of the draenei skeleton as well.)
Yaungol was which one again?
The yakmen of Pandaria.
the pandaria tauren
@sharp bluff The warlike yaks from Pandaria
TBH: The only reason I said draenei skeleton for ""Faun"" is because worgen men do not have upright animations.
Otherwise a slightly bulkier dryad-like woman borrowing a mixture from worgen female animations and female draenei animations I'd be up for.
... yknow if they fix the bugs in worgen female animations, which they have many times for other races thus far. sethrak, mantid, yadayada
I know northrend ones are horde
tbh im surprised WoW doesn't have like fauns as the "nice" counterpart to satyr though
since they usually are, mischevious still, but not likely to outright murder you
ehhhh
Traditionally, Fauns and Satyr are the same species
Its just a gender classification
Satyr arenāt murderous outside of WoW
Hearthstone may not be canon, but I do think it has signs of future intentions of the WoW team.
We saw Nāzoth in Hearthstone before anywhere else
I donāt think its a stretch to say that the Witchwood Hearthstone expac might have small ties to BFA.
who knows tho
I wouldn't be surprised if Witchwood themes show up in Kul Tiras.
It is the same concept more or less, Victorian period inspired people vs monsters in daunting conditions, using everything they've got to defend themselves.
tortollians came from HS
Just in the Gilnean case, it's the Worgen curse.
In the Kul Tiran case, it's their actual witch hunters.
I'm guessin they'll introduce night elf worgen in witchwood
That wouldn't be a surprise in the slightest, we know they exist already.
They literally are the reason Gilneas became infected, Alpha Prime lead many of them into Gilneas to search for the Scythe.
witchwood is thematically very similar to drustvar
but its very different lore wise
one is about witches
the other is about monsters
I'd wager a good half of the worgen in the Bloodfang pack are night elves, but the Nightbane pack is entirely night elven. (The latter confirmed in Legion.)
There's a lot of witch cards coming out of the Witchwood expac too, lol.
That's what the undead nelf cards are.
kul tirans are from gilneas
it is interesting tho
they have the same origin for harvest witches
that there are Satyr in the Witchwood
They just dont look evil
they dont have to be directly fel
Well, it kind of makes sense though that there are female satyr.
Satyr were mostly highborne that made a pact with the legion.
it makes sense
There wasn't just male highborne, pff.
we just havent seem them before
but ye
Azshara was a male highborne
Legion Artbook also had a female satyr, but she was never implemented as a nightmare satyr model.
^
there isn't any room that blizz has left open on that
#notalldemons
#allsaytrsmadebyLegionorthemselves

Satyr kind of do their own thing most of the time though, it's usually malicious but at times its just mischief too.
Ohey Thulm
uuhhhh
most satyrs do stuff that is relevant to the nightmare
which directly benefits the legion
imps are mischevious
@dense plover https://wow.gamepedia.com/Avrus_Illwhisper
They dont have to do stuff relevant to the Legion, but that doesn't change that all Saytrs are demons.
EX: Zen Foulhoof basically plays a "prank" on you by making you go and kill some animals and then only gives you some crappy voodoo claws afterwards.
exception to the rule
It was only when Cataclysm came around that he actually grew a spine and tried killing more people and animals.
Foulhoof did a lot more than a 'prank'
Out of all satyr you encounter at first though, he was one of the more pathetic.
Until Cataclysm promoted him to an actual threat, basically.
In which Avrus is the only saytr that actually did want to redeem his evil self and corruption.
He was a known nuisance, lurking outside of Dolanaar ... but they never actually kill him until Cataclysm.
:T
It just further proves our point; Saytrs are all inherently evil and are demons. They were made by the Legion.
So it's more like the dickweed that didn't go away till he tried to poison wildlife in Darkshore after that and we actually finally kill him after letting him sit and snicker over his actions for too long.
I dont think its out of the question to meet good satyrs. Or at least, Satyrs who aren't wholey evil.
Remember, all Worgen were baddies before Cata.
If they aren't, they are most likely like Avrus.
Yes because those worgen were FERAL
and they still are 'baddies' in Cata, the Gilneans just bring them to heel.
let me DREAM
If evil cannibal alchemist undead can be playable in the Horde, Satyr can be.
:L
The evil cannibal alchemist undead that are playable are only that way because theyre under a faction leader.
Avurus only was able to change back into a night elf due to him literally expecting to DIE when he ripped out his own heart. But his behavior made him trustworthy enough to stay at a sentinel outpost under careful supervision.
They were humoring his pleas.
War of the Saytr canonically ends by shattering the Saytr race into fragments and small 'covens'
Satyr never really had unified leadership since the War of the Satyr.
Xavius is the closest thing you can say to any form of Leadership
The fact that it's broken into fragmented covens means that there might be a group that is more horde-like and possibly recruitable.
ĀÆ_(ć)_/ĀÆ
but that's just my two cents.
the only playable demon that could occur will most likely be satyr, due to them not really having any direct leadership and their methods not being something the Alliance would take
The saytr have attacked both sides. Why would you recruit them in?
I dont see how its impossible
Illidari demons broke free of the fel corruption tha tbound them into th legion
illidari demons are still fel tho
Arcane in general seems to do that to Satyr, tbh.
they literally use warlock magics
Warlock Magics=/=Fel. As half of being a warlock is using shadow as well.
It's just in their nature post-transformation though to be a giant dick, as the Crystalsong satyrs are totally arcane---but still assholes.
cause
satyr in general
are assholes
in basically everything they're in
horde would never recruit demons
we dont recruit demons
Illidari.
syke
theyre close
Shivarra
Demon hunters are demons, there's like no way around it.
You don't consume a demonic heart and not become a demon.
and the other demons
DHs aren't
canonically illidan was very close
but we're not talking about DHs
but he wasnt
thats a demon
Shivarra
And the Illidari demons as well are more or less just, "meh we're here for shits dude."
Malevolence turned away from Sargeras because she thought he was boring.
illidari recruit demons
Despite the lore saying the Shivarra broke free of their fel corruption that bound themselves to the Legion, Honk is saying that didn't happen.
and not even just the Shivarra, but all demons that joined Illidan
Chronicles retcons that Peach
the naga faction the illidari recruit
no, i thought the ones at black temple were different
The group of naga sent to Illidan was sent because of Azshara and N'zoth
yeah
That includes Lady Vashj
but arent the ones in the class hall a different faction?
The Coilskar are from Zangarmarsh too.
Lady Vashj led multiple tribes prior to her death.
they waited years for the illidari to return?
We await to see if they'll still be loyal to the Illidari
I think it was more 'They had no real other choice but to wait'
Like they all were stuck on Marduun for ages
oh
Mistress Malevolence is waifu tho
Basically every other outland naga tribe was lead by Lady Vashj.
i wonder if years on marduun changed them
Yup
maybe they actually DID break away from the main naga force
It could have, Naga aren't stupid.
especially since we fight naga and they still help
My personal headcanon is that they decided N'zoth and Azshara was not worth it.
well
We've seen Naga that have worked with us before.
And the Illidari are the only allies they had
the illidari at least came back for them
and still have
I suspect that not all Naga are evil. but who knows.
I know there's that one naga sea witch who was in love with a gnome lol
theyre just loyal to azshara
and she is evil
but the ones on marduum may have broken away
Whatever their -original- mission was, I think we can safely assume they ditched the mission and stuck with the Illidari
considering they spent years stuck on marduun
I think when we do attack Nazjatar in BFA, we might meet some rebels. We knows though.
who knows*
Skar'this the Heretic
Meridith the Mermaiden
Veehja.
I feel like not all Naga might be OK with being slaves to an Old God.
We assume the same
Unlike demons, they're not addicted by a substance to keep em in check
The entirety of the Vashj'elan tribe as well didn't seem aggressive until the Bilgewater Cartel started actually attacking them, mistaking them for the ones who were killing goblins.
I think if there are rebels, they'll say they love their queen, but understand she's mad.
They even stood down when the goblins abducted their hatchlings and threatened to harm them.
Which shows much more well, humanity in Naga than we typpically think they don't have.
My naga characters that I roleplay respect Queen Azshara, but they will admit that the Empire is going to die because of her actions.
well
those naga were still associated with the old gods though
they had big tentacles
I still really want playable Naga. Metzen wanted them too, but
and an old god monster
They were strangely being lead by a n'raqi, which leads me to believe the Vashj'elan tribe might've been reprimanded or something?
its unclear
No naga comes to actually help him either when he shows himself to fight the player. Despite them having the naga actually emote at your presence during that short questline.
early game story is a bit of a mess
I do like Veehja as a good example of your average loyalist naga's attitude though towards getting help from other races.
She snubs you, a lot. But she doesn't outright kill you.
The Kvaldir are more important to be killed than her to actually bother threatening a land-dweller.
ye
We'll likely get a faction of naga who are like
"look, these guys beat every other world ending threat. I think we're safe to side with them."
I'm just waiting for a faction that joins us for that reason.
"This guys clearly got plot armor"
If Blizzard stops hating neutral races with a passion, I could see naga working as the "neutral" slot for an entirely new race. And that doesn't mean Allied race, as a naga wouldn't fit into the mechanical structure for an Allied race.
There is not a very difficult way to have two tribes that view the Alliance and Horde as something they could find similar ground with, as we've seen traits in their culture that could swing one way or the other.
Night elves haven't really protested heavily to death knights, demon hunters, and now void elves.
So I doubt the old blood feud would be much of an issue Alliance-side.
Flip the faction leader genders from the Pandaren ones as well IMO.
A male, upstart warlord for the Alliance---With no direct control of a matirarch over his tribe he's become surprisingly diplomatic. (In place of Aysa being a female leader on the Alliance.)
A female, brash and harsh sea witch for the Horde. She is used to surviving anyway possible, and her tribe depends on her war-oriented mindset to survive, she is not against getting blood on her claws.
No way alliance would ever ally with naga
They wouldnāt trust
The night elves would have trust issues
Draenei donāt like them either
Donāt forget all the humans theyāve screwed over
If naga ever happen, they will go horde
We have undead murder machines that aren't what they were in life, fel-infused monsterous hunters that barely resemble elves now, and blatantly void-infused elves.
Because horde is the faction of second chances
Deathknights are a class, not a race
Why wouldn't Naga work at this point in time if they clearly aren't Azshara-loyal?
:T
Naga might happen after killing azshara
And the horde is essentially made up of nothing but migrating murder hobos
That would be the most likely
And horde is misfits
Alliance wouldnāt accept naga
And even if they did
The naga might not want to go there
If you have to mention night elves and naga---okay, but what about the darkspear then?
Oh they definitely hate them too
the darkspear literally were tortured for years due to that sea witch, if you're gonna use one race to try to block it out you can't ignore the other
