One is also from TBC while the other is from MoP :p
Ya
It's the typical "orc armor" seen in almost every cinematic. Even in the Blizzcon/HotS stuff. https://i.pinimg.com/736x/44/f6/83/44f68321fc461d79021b1b7cc2f6e776--fantasy-art-the-arts.jpg
Mogriiiiiiiiiiiiiin
and they need more capes design models. One sided, scarfs, even back armor for mail and plates
Just, real cloaks. Shoulder cloaks. For people saying it only works for Human soldiers, orcs actually have them as well.

thousands of capes
that first pic reminds me of Rexxar, just instead of actually being Rexxar... some random orc copying him
Im like 10% sure that's early ceoncept of rexxar
cuz that is the spitting armor of him
nvmwc3 came out in 2002
oh... fuck
Guess they took inspiration from Rexxar
and tried to see how it could work in WoW
that's a possibility
I mean, I'd actually love for that to be the heritage armor
It's fairly simple and fits Orcs perfectly imo
The Blademaster beads, yea
Maybe if there's enough people that want it we can get it, I mean, tell me it's not just me who noticed some inspiration drawn from WC3 with the BfA cinematic
With how everybody looked
(and now I suddenly wanna make a Dark Ranger hero in the World Editor with inspiration from Sylvanas in the cinematic... damnit)
Alliance plate tho 😩 😩 😩
BUGS
🐛
Looks like I'll have another shot at an alpha invite hopefully
where?
up in the chat
the one with the red background
it looks like the orc from the cinematic
fast question
so we were just spitballing ideas
i saw the info about raid testing
for someone to go that someone needs alpha access right
Yes
does that mean that there will be an alpha wave ?
think so
Yep
Nothing is confirmed but it seems to be.
can that mean that bfa will go into beta stage
but the chances of getting an invite is very low
raid testing is quite advanced for alpha if you ask me
You weren't around for Legion or WoD were ya? They tested raids all through Alpha and Beta )
i got a wod beta
too close to the launch
for legion i went when it was already beta
i wasnt paying attention for the alpha news back then
that dmg seems pretty high for the alpha squish
gz
gz @rich apex was that from last Fridays wave?
Gz!
ppl say that the email is like 1 week late or more
so check your launcher regularly
Not that we know of. Blizz did not mention a wave going out
Hyper got into the Alpha tho Peach =D
I play brewmaster monk
I suspect the wave will go out when the raid update is put or something
I'm pretty sure we'll get a wave of alpha invites next build then on fridaty as they get waves out every friday and then on the day of the raid testing
what is the point of giving access on the day they test the raid
dont we need to level up first ?
No
When they enable raid testing they’ll also enable a 120 boost or something
Or the raid will scale you
so this means that the max lvl will be 120 ?
I think tehy will scale you up
We already knew that
i mean the max lvl you can level up to
But I don’t think they will let you be 120 in the world
So no
Probably not
Usually it scales you up
But you still need to make a group
Raiders who raid regularly are generally invited in the raid testing waves
Theyve already said int he post that we will be scaled up to 120 in the raid.
Yea. We can get scaled up to ilvl 1000 and 119 or some shit on Live.
Is there a discord or anything for Alpha or is this the best resource? I have a MW monk I'm playing on that thing, but it's crazy empty. I waited for an hour to heal a dungeon the other day, lol.
WTB Alpha friends.
That I can heal for.
there is no specific discord for the alpha no
You just hav to look around hte old fashion way rather than wait for a que
I know, it's terrible. I wish I could invite my pocket tank or something, lol
All two of the people in Drustvar were too busy leveling solo.
ah so that's the problem
you're playing alliance
i see a ton of people everyday on zandalar
See the real problem is that people dont have an appreciation for The Witcher
and so roll horde thinking Road to Eldorado is better
lol yeah that's fair. Maybe it's the faction. I main Horde so I was playing Ally on the Alpha to avoid spoiling the launch excitement.
I dont even bother to play on the alpha for that reason
I've tested out the last 4 or so, still always enjoy the heck out of launch.
Gotta nab them bugs and make sure my specs are doing alright. lol
i hope i get an invite to alpha i wanna test the new raid
Is Gilneas set to appear in BFA does anyone know?
have you done the hillsbrad quests for horde?
Blight can take up to hundreds of years to clear up and be livable again
🙄
Different note, possible Mogu Allied Race? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFENH69jqKA&feature=youtu.be&t=328

mogu allied race 🤔
i dont think he was talking about mogu as allied race
he mentions the tortollans too
mogu are just on zandalar and matter
so its relevant
Alright so before we go any further
theyve been adding little quests to the storyline that explain why they are there
they added a few one or two builds ago
my knowledge is they appear with Zul to take over Rasta and then later appear on island expeditions
arn't Mogu here cause of Zul?
Didn't Zul like promise them that taking over Zandalar would give them their glorious empire he promised them and they listened cuz Zul promised them such a thing?
Something along those lines?
i think they expanded on it
not fully sure off the top of my head
also, i wouldnt be surprised if they do become a sticking point in some way assuming Zul doesnt die in the first raid
All I remember is discussing this with someone and we both came to the conclusion that it mostly feels like side quest stuff.
i think its going to be a big deal in the first major patch
If it is that's great. But at the moment, it feels more like it's just a slight inconvenience
yeah
i think thats more the fact that a lot of Zul's story has been left out of the other two zones
he has stuff going on in both of the other zones according to broadcast text
but it isnt in yet
the same kind of goes for jaina in Kul Tiras
The mogu on Zandalar ? They just show up in one quest chain where you learn that they're Zul's servants, whom he used as a distraction (you go there to deal with the mogu who have taken control of Zuldazar Harbor, meanwhile Zul revealed his game to the Zandalari)
yeah, but theyve been adding some quests to explain their prescence a bit
and it might make sense to keep them around
especially considering theres like 5 minutes of combat voice lines
Zul dies before the first raid, and is rezzed as an old god crazy in the raid
Rastakhan kills him
Thats because the mogu also show up on island expeditions. Lots of voice work.
It’s disappointing
I doubt he'll be rezzed a 2nd time
no, i mean he might not die in uldir
or in his death, he summons hakkar
something with hakkar
now is literally the best time to finish his story
They said that G'Huun and Hakkar were completely unrelated.. which is honestly dumb, could've been a nice tie-in.
Zul is related to Hakkar ?
He's the one who ordered his taming back in Cata.
before he slunk off to never be heard from again
hmm no
wait what?
Zul wanted Hakkar to be summoned in Cata
so the Zandalari could control him
and use him as a weapon
what??????
but its kind of clear that Zul is actually working for the old gods
what do you mean what
thats the story from cata
do you have any source for that?
could I have them?
cutscenes?
Yea. The cataclysm troll dungeon patch?
chronicles?
really interested in this
volume 3 brings this up
Last week we talked about the story of the Zandalari trolls and the prophet Zul stands out amongst them. During Wrath of the Lich King, Cataclysm and Pandari...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfoCq-RssLk the actual trailer
This is the official trailer for patch 4.1: Rise of the Zandalari. The original description for the content featured in this patch is below. The full patch o...
Hakkar would be an easy tie in
Zul ordered up for Hakkar to be bound.
none of the pages mention anything about zul being hakkars servant
Peach misspoke on that
^
so whats the truth?
he wanted to control and use hakkar
Zul wanted to enslave hakkar
wowpedia does not mention that either
This is the official trailer for patch 4.1: Rise of the Zandalari. The original description for the content featured in this patch is below. The full patch o...
you might be confusing him with another troll
again here.
he does not say that in the video?
Watch to the end
^
where he summons up a visage of Hakkar
he is the one who sends Jin'do to enslave and break Hakkar
^^^
I cant find anything about this.
Did you not want to watch the full video?
it says it was jin'do himself who did it
cuz I can timestamp it for you
This is the official trailer for patch 4.1: Rise of the Zandalari. The original description for the content featured in this patch is below. The full patch o...
there ya go
at the end of the video there is a puff of smoke with hakkar's visage showing up, yes. how do you go from that to "zul is the servant of hakkar" (which you said was wrong alright) or "jin'do was sent by zul"?
"Some time later, the Zandalari trolls under Zul united most of the tribes and aided in restoring Zul'Gurub to its former glory for the purpose of rebuilding the old troll empire. They hoped to use Hakkar in order to wage war on the other races of Azeroth, to save their kind from destruction."
the entirety of patch 4.1 is Zul
I literally said "(which you said was wrong alright)"
the point is
so why bring it up? o.o
So i have acknowledged that
Zul is related to Hakkar story wise
I cant find a source for that statement "Some time later, the Zandalari trolls under Zul united most of the tribes and aided in restoring Zul'Gurub to its former glory for the purpose of rebuilding the old troll empire. They hoped to use Hakkar in order to wage war on the other races of Azeroth, to save their kind from destruction."
You can go and do the dungeon
the game is the source
and see for yourself
^^^
whose voice lines?
Jin'do.
^
Whom was sent by Zul
from the dungeon
because the whole resurgance is because of Zul
and his Zandalari
as said in the trailer we posted like three times
I just realized something
We know Jin'do wanted to enslave Hakkar, yes. How does that relate to Zul? Who said Jin'do did that on order of Zul? There is no source for that, sounds more like your idea
Because of the trailer.
Where he says 'The power we'll soon unleash'
'WE'LL SOON UNLEASH'
WE
together
dude
the whole group of trolls
All vicious war mounts have flsgs...how is that dark hound a vicious war mount without a flag? Could it simply replace the one headed lava beast as racial mount?
Do you see why I called the moderator the last time he did this?
if you dont want to listen, you can go away
I don't see anyone doing anything wrong. -points to his above mount talk-
I think it has to do with the but string Kham
we gave you the story behind it, we explained it, and then you try to argue against a fact
all viscious mounts dont have flags
What do you mean but string?
just a lot of them
I thought they did?
How is this even related to the time you called the moderators? "The time you called the moderators" you were delibaretly trolling. Here I am honestly asking for a source regarding Zul/Hakkar because I literally cant find any on Wowpedia or Google, this is an honest discussion but you are getting angry on your own.
Buy string*
Which don't have flags
We've told you where.
Oh...ok
we gave you the story behind it, we explained it, and then you try to argue against a fact
I am not arguing against the fact, I am asking for a source for your facts..
It is in game and in the trailer we linked to you
in the mother-flipping dungeon
I was worried there for a second
We have told you, go to the dungeon in game. Which is Zul'gurub
Zul sends Jindo there to summon Hakkar
We have told you to go and watch the trailer.
theres also the nobbel video
Which Zul specifically references Hakkar
^
Nobbels video also tells you the same story we're telling you
and he uses the same sources we do
^^^
which is the Trailer, and gameplay
if you dont want to listen to the answer, thats not our problem
^
"in the mother flipping dungeon"
Right, but where? I had to ask. Then you said "the voice lines". I had to ask whose. Then you said "Jin'do's". Who does not have any voiceline regarding Zul. https://wow.gamepedia.com/Jin'do_the_Godbreaker
I am literally just asking honest questions all the time because you wouldn't bother being more precise than "just play the game", thats why I ask questions. And even then your answer does not seem to be correct, Jin'do has no voice line related to Zul. ^
Right.
Jin'do the Godbreaker yells: Now, have a taste of Jin'do's true powah!
Jin'do cackles as he transports everyone into the spirit realm where Hakkar is imprisoned.
Spirit of Hakkar yells: Your deceit is unforgivable, Jin'do. You spit in the face of a god!
Defeated
Spirit of Hakkar yells: You overstepped your bounds, Jin'do. You toy with powers that are beyond you. Have you forgotten who I am? Have you forgotten what I can do?
Jin'do the Godbreaker yells: No... NOOOO!
Hakkar destroys Jin'do, leaving behind a battered corpse.
Spirit of Hakkar yells: Be freed, insects. I will deal with you another time.
Hakkar returns the heroes back to the mortal realm.
Unused quotes
Die!
how is that not evidence?
he summons hakkar
and then he tries to bind him
This is evidence for Jin'do breaking Hakkar, we knew that already.
and the zul evidence is from the trailer
In which we reference, AGAIN, the patch 4.1 trailer
he sends jindo there
Which is ZUL the ZANDALARI whom is causing a RESURGANCE of the trolls.
HE sends off people to do the dirty work in THEIR lands
to prove that they are worhty of the Zandalari
that is why we go and stop them
"The Zandalar tribe led by a mysterious prophet Zul called representatives from all tribes for a meeting in Zandalar. The prophet stated that troll civilization is nearing extinction and calls for war and unity of the troll race, with intention of forging a new empire. Jin'do and his followers gladly accepted the offer.
Later in Zul'Gurub Jin'do, now styled Godbreaker, is wrestling Hakkar into submission, holding him by spirit chains, stripping out his power into himself. The only way to stop the invincible Jin'do now is to release the captive upon the captor.[4] Upon destroying the spiritual chains holding the Soulflayer in place, Hakkar turns upon Jin'do, and utterly destroys him, leaving only the corpse of Jin'do the Broken. Hakkar then returns the adventurers to the mortal realm, promising to deal with them another time, before vanishing."
He says "jin'do, do you want to see your kingdom restored?"
I just watched this great video on Sylvanas...
its a pretty straight forward puzzle
-suggests vris should watch it-
Great and Sylvanas dont fit together without Villain in there
I think you guys are misunderstanding me.
- I know that Jin'do tried to enslave Hakkar, thank you for all the evidence that you brought up regarding this subject but that is already known.
- I know Zul sent Jin'do to retake Zul'Gurub as well, nothing about telling him to enslave Hakkar or whatever.
Look up on YouTube or Google and it should come up
It looks like he did that on his own.
Sylvanas is a benevolent leader
(Jin'do)
Despite the fact that Zul specifically references HAKKAR
as powers THEY are soon to UNLEASH
again in the Patch 4.1 trailer
like
it isnt just an effect
that fire spirit thing is actual lore
the trolls can do that
That is a visage of Hakkar.
^
its part of the reason the horde knows to go there
because the darkspear go
see the visage
and then tell the horde
and theyre like 'Yea no we're not messing with Hakkar of all gods'
The darkspear saw the visage?
Yes
yeah
the troll walking away
in the fucking trailer
is VOl'jin
^
you didn't watch the trailer at all
he walked away before the visage showed up though
clearly
he walks away
but he saw it
he doesnt teleport
its a huge flaming visage
It doesn't take much to look back and see a visage of hakkar
and he isnt the only darkspear
The trolls send more than just their lore leaders there
they send entire groups to this
The darkspear return with the knowledge that Zul wants to use Hakkar. and unleash him.
thsi leaks to alliance and bam. Alliane and horde against trolls
You claimed that Vol'jin saw the visage.
What actually happened is that Vol'jin walked away. Then Zul threw something in the fire and Hakkar's face appeared above the bonfire.
I think there's a bit of a difference between these two statements.
The other darkspear walked away with him, however.
But I agree
The visage and "power we'll unleash" is pretty weird, it doesn't seem to be referenced anywhere else in lore
I mean a Zul-Hakkar link
Because it doesn't need to be referenced anywhere.
It's right there in full plain sight and is noted as a source
I mean, it kinda does. If Zul's endgame was to summon Hakkar you'd imagine it'd be mentioned somewhere in the game.
Its weird that it isnt
is my point
Yeah I meant, then.
It'd be like if Azshara's endgame was never mentioned anywhere ingame.
his endgame is clearly tied to the old gods at this point
so anyone that helps is worth it
It is now, yea.
he went to isle of thunder to learn to summon a king
so he could summon dazar
remove rastakhan
and then open the final seal
he went to Zul'gurub/Zul'aman to learn to summon a god
Damn they really planned that out
Vris - Aujourd'hui à 23:29
he went to Zul'gurub/Zul'aman to learn to summon a god
oh?
its all related to getting nzoth free
is that from the tablets? i recall the "rez a king" thing but not that.
because the vision from the cataclysm was wrong
The summoning of Hakkar and in Zul'aman the summoning of the loa.
and re-binding them
zandalar doesnt sink, though his vision said it would
Sounds like void mischief to me
The wrong vision. An event that never happens.
Trying to prevent something that will never happen
and he does all of these things that end up helping nzoth in some way
even a little
Theres one tablet about going to Zul'Drak, one about going to Pandaria to learn to rez a king, the third one is about...?
until Zul objectively wants to help nzoth
I cant say. I never read all the tablets.
Wait I dont think we know zul already served nzoth back then, I believe its a new thing, post-cataclysm
though his vision might have been manipulated
We're thinking that back then the vision he received was from N'zoth
and Zul didn't realize it
yea all conjecture atm
No no I mean Zul serving N'zoth, thats the new thing. I dont think it states he was serving N'Zoth back then. At least not knowingly, i.e his visions still could've been manipulated.
Yes.
ah alright
100%
we agree
we are saying he was unknowlingly serving him
because of the false vision
but now he is knowingly serving him
And he's using his information that he's gathered to wage a war unlike any other on Zandalar
probably because rastakhans "lack of action" pissed off Zul
Knowing how to resurrect a powerful king to full power
Knowing how to bring a god into our world
and that kind of hatred opens you up to the voices of an old god
Knowing how to raise the dead to do his bidding. So on so forth.
I gotta say, good job blizz.
You didn't let this villain go to waste.
So yeah sorry about this "exchange" earlier but I was not trolling, I was asking honest questions, it's just that I had to ask a lot to get there cause you guys sometimes are not easy to work with.
Source? Play the game.
Where? Zul'Gurub.
Where in Zul'Gurub? Voice lines.
Whose voice lines? Jin'do.
Ah finally. Wait, Jin'do doesnt mention anything about Zul. Is it really all based on the face in the smoke?
And so on. So me asking all these questions wasnt in a trollish (heh) behavior, I was really just looking for the source, but had to keep asking questions to get them.
sorry
my bad
we are used to assuming people know all the lore
and some people watch this idiot named Pyro
who spouts bullshit
If you think we're difficult, Pyro is a new kind of difficult.
I am new to wow (well, since MoP, not sure thats so new anymore). But yes I honestly do not understand how Pyromancer has so many followers.
because of clickbait
It isn't, but for the full story of WoW, yea its pretty new
I see people listing him in their favorite "lore masters" next to Lost Codex and Nobbel and im like... no
Me and Peach will make sure to further elaborate on everything pre-MoP
if its mentioned that is
the best thing to say is "could you elaborate? I didnt play back then, so I dont have context"
this cant be interpretted incorrectly
so we will know you are being serious
we have to deal with trolls
so generally we have a tendency to get defensive
cuz we passionate about our lore
"could you elaborate? I didnt play back then, so I dont have context"
"just play the game"
(I am kidding/teasing)
All good
generally we will explain
unless we cant play the thing and dont know the specifics
how differnet is the plot for the horde and alliance gonna be in bfa
are the kel thuras and zandalar stories gonna be self containted until later on they combine
two completely different stories
im guessing its gnna turn out that a specefic old god is manipulating both countries
and its not as full a storyline compared to the quest lines
pretty much
bit of uniting your island and cleaning up the mess
bit of old gods everywhere
first raid is old gods
second is naga/old gods
so....
unlikely
they arent relevant to the current story
vulpera are more likely than tuskarr
i wouldnt be surprised if in litch king 2 the horde get the vrykrul and the alliance get tuskarr
well dranor orcs arent that relevant
oh? i thought they were neutral
the vrykrul have always worked with the horde
they are
and hate humans
im guessing vrykrul might be like panderan
the vrykul have always worked with the horde?
like you play as a neutral tribe or something
honestly vrykul and tuskarr arent even on the current shortlist for allied races
i can think of a bunch that make more sense waaaaay before those two
like ***H I G H E L V E S *** monkaS
it was a yoke
and high elves arent currently story relevant
Vrykul would have made a lot of sense to be a part of those Legion-races which joined us after we helped them (highmountain tauren from highmountain, nightborne from suramar... vrykul from stormheim). We saved them from the legion and everything, they could have joined, sya, the alliance. But the devs visibly decided they didnt want to (probably because they knew kul tiran humans were coming), so they had the god queen say that "ourp oeple will never be allies" or something like that
Yeah
Well not the god queen. Specifically that fishing village in Suramar that we save from Naga.
All the other Vrykul stay loyal to Odin or the Legion
pretty sure it was the god queen, in the mage tower questline
forgot her name
sigryn
Oh if it was in the mage tower then Im unaware.
Im just speaking of that village we find in Suramar.
cuz people keep referencing it. despite her kicking us out after we save the place
ah the quest where you become a jarl?
Ye
were we kicked out? i dont remember. wasnt the lady revealed to be a villain or something?
Yea she was a disgusied villain
after we kill her and save the real Jarl to be, she kicks us out.
hmm im having memories of her saying that she'd be the leader while we're away
so not kicked out
or something or another. cuz I k now I get attacked by going there
i might be wrong
I think she does say that she'll be in charge while youre away doing adventures or something
something like that
was a long time ago
we talking about vrykuls possibility as an allied race?
yeah she doesnt kick us out
the correct leader takes over
and says we are welcome any time
its just that some of the evil vrykul spawns are still evil vrykul spawns after the questline
but the village is not
There you go!
High Elves make 100% logical sense to become an allied race at SOME point in the future 😄
@tropic trail I think they could have been but Sigryn makes it complicated now, cause she said our peoples will never be allies. But, I guess, since she says that in 1 quest, from the mage tower, so with like maybe 1% of the gaming population (exaggerating) having seen it, or the devs, they might not see that as much of a blocage
to be fair, before legion launched, blizzard said that nightborn wouldn't ever be playable
yea but Vrykul also need a lot more work on them.
true
What setting do you guys have your NPC names on? Quest NPC only or above?
No names unless I target em
I'd bet they'd be a full race instead of an allied race
i like seeing them all
names are annoying for screenshots
Raid testing begins on friday, wow, that's a lot sooner than I would've thought
@tropic trail "to be fair, before legion launched, blizzard said that nightborn wouldn't ever be playable"
do you have a source for that
(genuine question)
I believe it was touched upon at Blizzcon of the same year it was launched
I could be wrong on that
how do you join the beta?
You can tick for beta, on the beta prefence profile setting page https://eu.battle.net/account/management/beta-profile.html and then if your lucky you'll get invited, or for beta you can get keys of streamers some times, but for Alpha it's invites only by Blizzard you can't really apply for alpha invites
do i have to own bfa
No
Its luck. that's it.
I believe the nightborn comment was made during the presentation when they were announced
I'd have to go dig through and find it
Hey just a dumb question which may have been asked before:
Somebody in a youtube video said the thin Kul Tiran humans were confirmed as an option?
Is that true?
Because I can't find it
I think they were in one of the interviews with Ion
🤔 could somebody be so kind as to help me find that? 😆
I never saw it mentioned in any of the wowhead summaries so idk ._.;
It wasn’t confirmed as an option, just that they’re a Kul Tiran body type and not a separate race
but that doesnt mean they are an option for players
the way it was asked was kind of confusing
and i think Ion was responding in a lore way
in that they are still kul tirans
they might end up as a customization option
but it isnt clear yet
and also, there are no thing females
That'd suck. :c
I'm hoping to play as a thin human frankly
Well since we're this far in, part of me thinks it won't happen ._.
I think that's a misinterpretation. From what I recall, it was about the different Tirasian models that existed, and he just said that there were different body types to give more flavor to the Tirasian people, they're not separate races or whatever, they're just body types. So it wasn't from a gameplay (i.e playable) point of view he was talking about body types, he was just explaining their presence in the population (flavor, diversity).
Kind of like how there are slim trolls and then bulkier (dire) trolls if I was to illustrate this. Like, maybe they could be a separate "body type" customization option for the Tirasian allied race, but this isn't what he was talking about here. But people understood him as confirming that thin humans would be a separate, playable body type.
I mean the issue is we already have thin female humans
Thin men makes sense because all we have is body builders
But the normal human girls are pretty basic
Even-thinner-humans
well... what I mainly mean is a different body type I suppose for female humans in that case lol. Yes, the existing ones are already "thin," but there's such thing as a body type different than what they are now.
playing sticks would be funny
There's no indication of thin KTs as playable
They're still missing a female version
Much less the unlikelihood of giving only only Allied Race 'body types'
Thin KT's have been confirmed as a body type.
When was that Echo? 0=
a few days ago ^
A source? was it at pax? Which interview? Cmon gimme the juicy details
I'm pretty sure it was a t pax,it's 3AM so no source for ya
was it in slootbags interview? or a different one?
Who confirmed that fam
they werent confirmed
that's what Im tryin to figure out
people are misconstruing it as confirmed
when it was ion deconfirming that they would be a separate race
Gibbe the knowledge port
Oh OK so the Thin humans are not a seperate human race and are apart of 'Kul tiran' humans but aren't actually confirmed to be a body type for the player race
something like that port?
Chaud: Are Thin Humans going to be an Allied race, are they NPCs, what’s the weird, thin Human model?
Travis: Um…
[Travis and Jimmy both start laughing]
Travis: Hold on.. Void-y Holy Priest. Okay! I have that, I’ll remember now.
[Coordinator]: If that’s not service, I don’t know what is!
[Laughs]
Travis: So, Thin Man and Fat Man are what we call them internally. And no, they’re not intended to be a different race, [they’re] just variants on Kul Tirans. So, generally, when we’re spawning up Kul Tiras on the design side, we looked at using them as kind of our… maybe it’s a little bit like, ‘The big guy’s the bouncer!’ Or, ‘The big guy’s the ruffian who’s got a little guy up by the neck! And then the little guy’s more the scoundrel and they’re always holding daggers or leanin’ up against something,’ and, I don’t know, it just gives us a little more flavor and texture to the world.
its just a model to diversify kul tiras
ty port!
Fat and thin humans have been in the game since vanilla, as well as some goofy looking pirate humans, I wonder if they'll replace those few with these new models.
those were alpha models tho
Like they were the original humans from alpha and rarely used. cuz they were alpha
Still, they're used in a few obvious places, I believe they still make an appearance in deadmiens, the DK starting scenario, and I think the old pirate models can still be found in stranglethorn and other places (Haven't actually been to stranglethorn in a really long time to check)
There's also the farmer humans in borean tundra
It wouldn't hurt to replace them
http://prntscr.com/j352ju
this wasn't thought through too well
Y?
Because Rehgar is a member of the Horde.
The Horde and the Alliance can't unite except when Azeroth is actually in trouble. Then they reluctantly help each other vanquish the enemy only to start killing each other again
Ok, so how does that make the above convo bad
Rehgar's line just doesn't make sense considering
i mean, it is pathetic but it's pathetic that Rehgar's Horde does the same thing also
He is there helping, is he not?
yes but so?
I'm not seeing the issue, rehgar tells neptulon to do exactly what the horde and alliance were doing for legion
put aside differences and fight a common enemy
^^^^
@uncut vault Does Valtrois do anything yet besides stand on the ship?
Not yet no
Am I the only one who finds it strange the "big" Kul'Tiran humans are actually taller than my Night Elf?
They seem very bulky and different to other races in general, I don't feel like they really fit in, but probably just have to get used to them :p
at what time is it deployed?
last week it was tuesday at midnight?
No wonder I couldn't find any solid info online then :p
I don't think it was midnight
Because I was awake during it, and I would've been sleeping by midnigth
I'm expecting Warfronts to go playable on alpha officially tomorrow (if a build happens) as they said Warfront swill be up for testing on the alpha very soon
and the beta is right around the corner being very soon (in an interview this was said)
that reminds me, I gotta finish voldun to test a theory I had
what theory did you have
theory = "zandalar forever" (a.k.a. "the final seal") questline unlocks after completing all 3 zones
since blood gate unlocked after nazmir+zuldazar
well i dont see any questlines and i complete 2 zones
so i think blood gate requires zuldazar to be completed
Ooo
blood gate only make sense after both nazmir and zuldazar storylines, ye
as it relies on zul's treachery weakening zuldazar + blood trolls getting ready to attack from nazmir story
and i can't even complete zuldazar if i wanted to,because i'm stuck at 6/8 chapters and the npcs refuse to give me the followup quests
also yes zandalar forever should be available once you finish the 3zones,but since the achievement for it is just a yellow gear icon with no requirements listed
i think it's not implemented yet
I thought the requirement was "zandalar forever" scenario
have anyone played alliance and found out what that completion of the zone yields?
generally those types of things just let you skip and get credit on the alpha if NYI
alliance is too brokem atm,i made a hunter yesterday, and boralus is a goddamn mess,
pretty sure alliance "meta" questlines aren't implemented yet
at least there are no achievements for them
I have only began to quest a little but god its gloomy everywhere on ally side :p you horde have such vibrant colors
i would say something about horde being best faction but instead i'm just going to leave this here
hahah never to late to change or what :D?
whispers For the Alliance
also the fact that the entirety of boralus is this washed out dark teal and whatever that black-ish color for the walls is
just makes me sad
Stormsong Valley looks like a really nice zone art wise and that
Stormsong manor still doesnt have textures and is a white chunk of land 🤔
well,it kinda is surprising when all of zandalar is pretty polished, apart from the water in nazmir
that's a flood problem
I've never been on an alpha before but I realized quite soon that I should wait with exploring since I just ran into unfinished stuff :p
Like the mountains covered with snow in Stormsong Valley 😃 npcs are dropped but buildings are not done
the mainquestlines are pretty polished,at least on zandalar(havent progressed in stormsonng yet on hunter) the only things are some sidequestlines have some inconveniences, like having fall through stairs in a temple,or having a questitem on top of a no collision structure,or having some items in an ""underground cellar"" where the stairs are fall through
the first 2 i mentioned are in nazmir, along with the super bugged water levels literally everywhere, and the third is in voldun
For me quite some house structures glitch in Tiragarde sound first questing are, and some even inside the main town but I've taken some screenshots to see if it gets better in the future builds
it's quite easy once you get it figured out tho
assuming you're not an elf
you have to enter the wall at a specific angle, walk right up to the edge where you fall, use the questitem to phase, then mount your biggest mount(mammoth) glitch through the floor, get item
ez pz
this doesnt work if you're an elf or any smaller race
because obvious reasons
haha sounds solid :p
sorry, bad choice of words 😃
Mayla needs to appear
none of em do tbh
And you complain about others disagreeing with you....
It is a fight for their survival. All leaders should appear
the reason I disagree is because if you put in to many characters into a singular plot, it becomes convoluted, diluted and hard to follow. Especially in a medium like a video game.
My buddy Crow got hired as historian at Blizz ! https://twitter.com/unlimitedBLACK/status/983532161608269824
I'm Crow, an assistant historian for Blizzard. If you're looking for an official lore ruling, I can only speculate in a personal capacity, not as an official source of info. I love art, social justice, awesome people, and people who are nice. ...
314
Realistically though, in lore all should do something
Oh that's really cool! Gonna save his twitter.
And I do agree with you Khamnin, but I think side characters should get their spotlight just like that. On the side. In books or comics or short stories.
Have it be a book or comic. Cameo ingame just standing there
This is a huge event
And I wouldn't call mayla a side character, she's a racial leader
of a side race. I'd call her a side character because she doesn't hold much importance than say Sylvanas or Nathanos, or Vol'jin and Thrall going on their wacky adventures, etc etc etc.
@jade basalt if you play your cards right you will always get an alpha invite 😉
how 2 play cards?
@tulip torrent What ?
one of the ways of getting an alpha invite is to know someone in blizz
that one can set your account into their internal friends and family lists
thus getting alpha invites
i don't have that card
very few ppl have that card
Yeah but I didn't say I needed an alpha invite 😋
having a friend who worked at blizz in the past works too
"my uncle works at blizz, he'll ban you"
Oooo release the beta already blizz so we can get mucho mucho beta keys and account activatios.... we need them... the small fries that are not top raiders or streamers. We want to try it too.
but then you will complain about everything being broken and provide no actual feedback or bugreports
🤔
How do you know that?... and why would anyone complain about a beta being buggy??
Thats what a beta is... an unfinished game being tested for bugs...
well
we know what happened when they made beta much more available for mists beta
That was different... it was everyone it at the start... and there was no alpha. There are alot of people already in the alpha... blizz already got alot of feedback on the main systems of the game... only polish remains in the beta which is mainly bug fixes that can be reported by any joe shmo
We'd complain about getting 1 million gold in the mail for free from the devs
saying 'Why isnt it 2 million'
Sorry to say but thats not the majority of the wow community... those are the few vocal outliers.. which are usually ignored anyway
Anyway... are you guys in the alpha?
snort it's been that way since vanilla. Papa Jeph even said so when he was working on the game.
Do anything reset between builds or can you go on as usual?
only bugs and new systems reset between builds, not that we have anything that resets atm
Nothing resets between builds.
Only reset is for when beta launches and you can copy characters afaik
They'll also do periodic character wipes. So you can consider that a reset?
@hollow dock I believe the complaint wouldn’t be “why not 2 mil”
But instead “NOW BLIZZARD IS JUST HANDING US GOLD INSTEAD OF GEAR”
That's also a valid complaint
im just so excited about the scenario we get play as jaina
Oh god please dont do what I think you're going to do
We play as Jaina?
Dont roll your eyes at me you know why I voice my conern :<
@dense plover Bellular just confirmed that the DIDs and Mag'har will be available to unlock at launch as apart of the campaign!
wouldn't mind...trying...them out to make sure they are.. alright and soo.. no hidden motives
Sorry, yeah....never been in alpha (played since release) so I'll probably do all kinds of wrong. I do use the feedback buttons all the time 😄
I almost never play during beta as a personal rule
I full test during alpha and let new people do it in beta, just mess around with new character stuff if there is any
Only thing that might pull me into beta is warfronts if they keep their testing for bigger waves
Only thing to pull me onto beta is raid testing
Full test, what do you mean by that?
jaina-chaaaaaan
GIT OUTTA HERE WIT DAT WEEB SHIT
Submit feedback on every quest, positive or negative
Make a forum post for all my class testing and zone testing
Then a few additional ones on other feedback
In BfA’s case I’ve made some on cosmetics moving forward and island expeditions
wow, That is really good work from your side
I do it every alpha, a few other testers I know do too.
Yeah
But we don’t know how long the campaign will take
The first part of suramar was unlocked at launch
But it took weeks because you could only earn a certain amount of rep each day
Well it depends on which campaign achieve it's tied to
The initial story is completed by 120
My guess is it requires the stuff after 120
It’s unlikely to be a You got to 120! Reward
We will see
They’ll test it before launch
At launch and during the campaign does imply that it'll be pretty early on. o=
But we weren't promised to unlock all of i at launch
Took the average player more
All of the first part of suramar was promised for launch
And it was there
It just took time to finish
Well bellulars interview implies the war campaign will be less of a do it all in one day, and more of a suramar in 7.0/7.1
It was. Mag'har and DID are promised at launch and be unlocked during the campaign.
Or I can finally use my bladefist weapon from highmaul in a transmog
Plus I want a DID because they look cool
Fire beards
It'll be odd to NOT get them just from the "establish the launch points" achieve because beyond that, dark iron dwarves are heavily involved
yay! we'll get that cloak <3 https://worldofwarcraft.com/de-de/battle-for-azeroth/features/allied-races edit: https://i.imgur.com/tazAd1t.jpg
I actually suspect the other variant that's shown in the alpha emails will be the official heritage set, since it includes a hat and fits the proudmoore colors more
Wish we could send pics in this channel
We see em in the pre-120 campaign too so who knows
the undercity plaguebat is just a reskin of the DH mount.
why bliz
well yes but it's pretty much the same mount
I'm expecting that some point tonight or tomorrow a new build will come out hopefully! with warfronts! 😄
oh boy the Alliance scenario is impossible to beat
The High Overlord.: Defeat High Overlord Saurfang.
you can't beat Saurfang
i like how some hordies hate saurfang now because he isnt on board sylvanas’ genocide train
The hippogrpyh is literally just a recolored one with armor
So I don't think it is that bad
Saurfang is eh
I never was a die-hard fan of him
He will likely rejoin eventually
This Geyarah, leader of the Mag'har
Right now, the Horde is just Sylvanas
What do you mean just sylvanas? v.v
The others aren’t that relevant atm. All eyes are on her.
her and bitchboy edgelord nathanos
I wouldn't really say that.
Sylvanas is just a major player, like Illidan and Velen in Legion
We see Thalyssra, Lasan....Gallywix is heavily involved in the war campaign
tfw people are mad that the faction leader is in the spotlight after whining about the faction leaders never being in the spotlight
Patches and Gob Squad help us greatly in Nazmire
blizz cant please everyone 🤷
I like how it is currently
Faction leaders should be in the spotlight
Look at poor vol'jin
He did nothing
Other characters are getting spotlight too though, it is not like it is Sylvanas and Anduin 24/7
lol after becoming warchief all voljin did was congratulate you on level 3 garrison, help with tanaan slightly, then die. :(
honestly I am just disappointed with Saurfang (as a horde guy)
I am on the "Voljin gave her his blessing train"
I mean, as a person who likes both their characters, Sylv a bit more so, I like the dynamic between them
theyre being shown as opposites without invalidating either person
i'm disappointed with Vol'jin for listening to that loa
hopefully he's learned his lesson in death
I mean he definitely hasnt been punished for it
He becomes a Loa himself lol
wait
I think Sylvanas as warchief will become a good thing, despite what people think
No...
all wild gods are loa, not all loa are wild gods
ask Boneswami
loa is just a troll term for an ascended or greater being
Bwonbamsdi or however you spell it is not an animal
yep but he is a loa right?
Yes, he is
well referring to the Voljin becoming a Loa comment, Bwonbamsdi would know
since he is a Loa and a troll
also for spelling purposes
I was off lol
alliance> Can you get the pirate hat back in Freehold after you are done questing?
maybe ;)
@heavy cairn the burnout quest is when the corruption is removed from the sword
it requires the weapons to be retired
that causes artifact instability, which was datamined to be AP number going down (maybe clientside, maybe not)
it's not complete burn out
burnout is the end of that
usually when they do those sorts of pre-expansion storylines, the change is applied globally upon expansion release regardless of who has done the quest or not
the falling will probably happen essentially instantly post-BfA
but it wont be applied to the weapons while leveling
they would have to change tons of quests
its literally just going to occur via a quest
i guarantee it
not really--quests don't rely on traits
quests rely on AP
they can turn AP reward into gold
well, more gold
i guarantee traits will still exist
because otherwise it punishes people who dont buy BfA
no it isnt
its extremely simple because of the above
you are saying the equyivalent of the garrison going away post-Warlords
it isnt
uh, no?
why would it punish people who don't buy BfA? classes will be balanced for lack of artifact at levels without an artifact--in this case < 108
just like they are balanced now, for levels < 98
im not going to go into more detail right now because o meed to eat, but i guarantee they will stick around unless you are heading to BfA. Feel free to ask @hollow dock
100% they're still sticking around after prepatch hits
thank you vris
In BFA they will go 'inert' as we level up.
gonna go eat now
