that's my problem. I'd prefer it to just stay indefinitely or not happen at all if out of combat. looks weird to get all ready for combat and then just drop it
especially since it appears to be a "broken" state, moving an inch will fix it early (because it falls back to the proper state once movement ceases)
like there's that thing DHs do where they put their one glaive in front and one glaive behind. I don't know why it happens outside of combat, but that stays for a while, and persists through movement.

So I have a question. The whole premise of the taking of Lordaeron and the Burning of Teldrassil is that Kalimdor is controlled by the Horde and the Eastern Kingdoms are controlled by the Alliance, but what of the Exodar and Silvermoon City? Wouldnt those also need to be dealt with?

it'll never get updated because not once in WoW's history will it ever be cost-effective to drag Silvermoon and Exodar off of the Outland map and onto the main world map
to many systems have to get redesigned/dropped for that to happen. Plus they'd have to actually fill in all the flat lands within both areas.

The Black Empire was fully covered in Chronicles Vol 1. It was the state of Kalmindor under the rule of the four (4) old gods, C'thun, N'zoth, Yogg-saron, and Y'shaarj. Y'shaarj held the most land, N'zoth the fewest and C'thun and yogg-saron held similar amounts. They wared with each other and cause constant conflict, death, and sacrifices amongst those that resided on Kalmindor to feed themselves. They ruled the lands uncontested by anything, even the Trolls, until the Titans had come and imprisoned them.
