They already said Azshara is the next raid tier
Yes
I dont think she'll die tho
I'l 75% sure she'll escape, and be further warped by N'Zoth.
Eh, maybe
I wish they'd make a fully faction war expansion than this crap that changes half way through
N'zoth is on the shadowlands?
There are ways to have both lose/win
And it is, after all, Battle FOR Azeroth
wasnt he under the sea near the maelstrom?
Azeroth, which we now know is a person that can be corrupted
-points to Talieson video for one example-
i want like
Blizz ain't gonna double the amount of raids
to go to ny'alotha
To make faction specific ones
And the end of the expansion story still can't have either side lose
So
You apparently did not watch the video
Nope
I'm sure there's a million youtuber opinions about what would be ~a greally great idea~ for WoW
I love the idea of having Anduin and Sylvanas being raid bosses, but it'd seem too much like SoO
Especially if we go raid the horde again
Not this time around
Unless they actually manage to surprise me
And all that N'zoth foreshadowing was a red herring to cover up Sylvie going Full Garrosh
Bards!
maybe Ny'alotha is where N'zoth is imprisoned
It probably is.
You guys
are so very wrong
like
so
very wrong
Ny'alotha isn't where he's imprisoned
Can't we dream?
in before Blizz writes something new
Let me d r e a m
we dont know where ny'alotha is right?
Besides, if we were able to get Argus 50 feet away from Azeroth I'm sure they could do something
^^
No we dont. We dont even know if it exists.
We're able to get Argus so close because we opened a portal to it
Both do
but we have no other references to it. It could exist, it could not. We don't know for sure.
if we dont know where it is and we dont even know if it even exists how can you be so sure that the prison of N'zoth isnt called Ny'alotha
(When dying)Β N'Zoth... I journey... to Ny'alotha...
or at least a city/place of worship made by the naga around his prison
Yes, again. We dont know if it actually exists.
In the sunken city, he lays dreaming... This could be evidence that he is in fact, imprisoned at Nya'lotha
^^
And his realm is called a black forest.
When you'll walk among the black forest, you will see.
Also
The forest is at the top of a giant spite.
"Beneath the shadow of the darkened spire, there is no light, no mercy, only void, and the chaos within."
None of this points to it being Ny'alotha.
But the thing is, another quote is given is "at the bottom of the ocean even light must die"
"There is a little lamb lost in dark woods."
This is literally all evidence that has been given for 2-3 expansions pertaining to N'zoth
We already know N'zoth is at the bottom of the ocean
"The silent, sleeping, staring houses in the backwoods always dream. It would be merciful to tear them down." This seems like a reference to Drustvar.
We dont know that actually
It is already stated it does exist in some form or another
has connections to the Shadowlands
because we have no idea where his prison actually is. But we know for 100% fact that its on azeroth
then how does the canon say that the place where n'zoth is imprisoned isnt called ny'alotha
like you said a moment ago
It does state that he is imprisoned in a sunken city so it is possible that Naga either built a sort of a city around him possibly not too far from Vashj'ir
You clearly haven't read chronicles
The combined land of Kalmindor and the locations of the Old Gods and their prisons
We know that all Old Gods had a prison built around them. We do know his prison is weak now.
All 4 are noted to be on Azeroth. not in a different dimension.
Maybe so, but that doesn't mean you can just tear me down outright, I am trying to state some evidence with my claims
All old gods had titan prisons constructed around them to contain them.
I honestly think he'll be free by the time we get to him.
Definitely
It*
By the time we're going off to Argus, he's already breaking free
N'zoth prision still could be called Ny'alotha
But that doesn't mean he's moving around though too
I honestly think we're going to find him along with the fifth world tree.
That. You do remember that the old gods -cant- move right?
they're MASSIVE parasites in the early
earth*
Yogg alone is the size of Northrend
I think he's fused to the fifth world tree. And that's what the Rift of Aln is.
I'm sorry that I don't take in the fact that they're pulling a Stephen Hawking
If we look up in the Rift of Aln, we see roots.
And it does state that he is dreaming
and deep beneath the earth
Oceans*
We dont know if 100% it's actually N'zoth that its talking about
It is the Old Gods, they speak in metaphore.
metaphor
I just find it interesting
How it's implied he's underwater.
Yet that he
is also tied to a black forest.
The black forest ties is to Shub-niggurath and the other great old ones. More specifically, the Black Forest is supposed to be tied to Y'shaarj. since that is supposedly the Black Goat with 7 eyes.
I was discussing with Pyro regarding the fifth world tree being an ebony tree, which would fit where we think N'Zoth's prison might be. Somewhere in the South Seas. Ebony wood is tropical. Plus, a noted characteristic of ebony: it doesn't float.
And Xavius appears to be partly made from Ebony in his mutant form.
South seas is the other side of the world to where N'zoth is tho
to where he supposedly is*
that is
in between Pandarai and kalmindor is the South Seas
KT and Zuldalar are on the other side near EK
thats the pre-shattering map
we get the new one that shows the actual kul tiras/zandalar positions/shapes in like 3 days
I'm willing to bet he's pretty close to Nazjatar
but he's directly in the center of the two continents
Im willing to say that the titan facility has sunken, but south sea is a little far fetched
So is Azeroth flat
hold up, what does "pulling a stephen hawking" mean?
no
Azeroth is not flat boob meme
yes Azeroth is flat.
it was an ambiguous statement
See I am just asking cause if kalimdor pandaria northrend and eastern kingdom was all together at one point
I can answer that question if you'd like
Doesn't their me their is still like
yespls
π€
unseen
It means that they're not able to move freely but can think freely
pfffty that is just the fish eye effect from the Argus atmostphere π saracasm
Cause if this is the case.
oh yeah, Azeroth is totally one half of a fucking sphere.
makes so much fucking sense
it totally wouldn't implode on itself and create a black hole
I mean
Well, there is very minute lore about the other side of Azeroth being basically the Bermuda Triangle
somehow a massive sword stabbing into it
didn't cause an extinction event
so
yea
What goes on, on the other side of the world?
Like do they feel all this?
We don't know
The titans show there isn't anything on the other side of the world
We don't even know if people live there
There's likely a third continent on the other side knowing Blizzard
so
im sure they're doing peachy
But that doesn't entirely mean there isn't
I'm going with the titans globes in Ulduar
tbf, Sargeras's sword killed almost everyone in Silithus
and saying theres nothing actually there
Is this just a big history lesson about America and how Europe comes over and invades our lands.
To note
wasn't pandaria not on those globes at first tho?
But I believe you can see a continent just pass Kalimdor
so ye
that's EK.
Theres likely Pandaria 2.0 over there
No
there's a huge splotch of water inbetween.
An actual Continent
Maybe something like Jormungandr is on the other side of azeroth
So we going to assume that the other side is just a death thing.. MAYBE IT'S ALL OLD GOD AND THE BLACK LEGION or something like that.
tf is black legion
never heard of it π€
Black empire.
There isn't a fifth old god tho
How do we KNOW.
u sure it isn't blue empire? :murloc:
Never know.
The chronicles is the hard canon of WoW
wouldnt be the first time Blizz changed the lore
But in the alpha they do state that the blood trolls were trying to raise another old god
They specifically made Chronicles
Yeah but lets think about this.
to STOP the rewrites and retcons
What can they do AFTER this expac
That old God is G'huun
Mhmm
its not an old god
an artificially created one
its a corrupted experiment
But still one nonetheless
It's a false god for all intents and purposes
Wasn't there a sleeping old god under..trisfal glades..
they're probably going to keep retconning lore anyway in the future
that is essentially very similar
No there wasnt
nothing saying more old gods cant land on Azeroth.
it was the tomb of Tyr and a Faceless General
^
^^
adding stuff that wasn't in chronicles isn't a retcon, it's keeping some element of surprise
^
maybe they are just flying through space
but we do know there are only 4 old gods
or landed on planets near us
if they outlined everything that will ever be in wow in chronicles it would be boring, they have to leave some stuff out
no
space goats 3.0?
They have a direct link to Azeroth herself
they were sent out by the void lords
only 4 old gods now*
They have heart monitors on her
More old gods do exist
their parasites
the void lords shoot them out
more exist.
they're*
So it's safe to say that more can come.
And also the Arrakoa were trying to contact an old god too
theyre huge
Like I said
but only 4 ever landed on Azeroth
something that big hitting the ground?
Okay then here is a question I have.
btw, on the subject of the titan globes in ulduar, theyre basically non canon and metzen hates that they added them
^
Have we really -killed- the old gods.
would we?
didn't the old gods that were/ are on Azeroth "sneak" onto Azeroth or at least, live there for centuries/ however long until they were discovered by mortals?
no
We only killed Y'shaarj
^
But that's the thing, they could've also been contacting one from Azeroth
and killed is a stretch
Yogg-saron and C'thun are still around
We didn't kill Y'shaarj, he's been dead for ages
He's been alive technically through the Sha Lilo
finally actually killing yshaarj
the Sha are now gone, the heart destroyed.
its the only dead old god
So it's safe to say with the whole sword in azeroth in silithus as well as azerite that cthun could be back alive and doing shit..
His power and his influence is gone. He is truly dead in ever sense now.
how do u know the sha are gone? π€
^
Does the chronicles state in what form the old gods were when they arrived on Azeroth? Where they wholly formed and ready for business, or did they arrive as little evil seedlings of voidness?
psh.
Celestials can lie
Well I mean alive as in actively doing stuff.
we jsut squished cthuns bugs and poked him in the eye
for all we know, azerite is the blood of cthuun
The silithid is all him. The Twilight's Hammer in the area is him.
Azerite probably isn't C'thuns blood
maybe finally seeing nyalotha
It'd probably look like Saronite
probably not
Azerite is 100% Azeroths lifeforce.
is G'huun a good void lord or a bad void lord?
her blood.
wat
im not answering that dumb edgy
wat
its basically confirmed not old god blood, because it deals holy damage
lmao
C'thun became a paladin
guess that answers that for sure then
in tiragarde you pick up azerite coated weapons and deal holy damage to enemies
azeroth is a holy titan?
pyromancer theories cifnromed
we actually have had hints that azeroth is holy in some way right?
outside of azerite?
Azeroth really isn't a holy titan
Most Titans aren't really infused with the powers of light
In terms of being blessed anyways
no, but there are hints that elune and azeroth are important to each other
maybe that's why people on azeroth can use the light so freely, since the very planet is infused with it, whereas the draenei get it from the naaru
and elune is tied to the light
^^
Elune created the Naaru tsk tsk
would explain why orcs never really used the light on draenor
It's the working theory.
new theory: does is azeroth a naaru?
Wut
since Elunes artifacts can interact with the Naaru.
so elune is confirmed to have created the naaru tho?
did the green guys do the outland?
Does is Azeroth a naaru
not confirmed
I don't even think that is a question
working theory
It's theory but there is hard proof that they can interact with each other. and elune can be used as a standin for a Prime naaru
Orcs don't see them as Naaru, or at least didn't at the time
Oshu'gun, which was a crashed ship, local shamans came to that Naaru with blessings and kept it purified for the time being
Another thing to note is that how Elune is described to Velen, he certainly sees a lot of Similarities to the Naaru.
I see naaru as windchimes that make music when beaten
Then Tyrande, being the bitch that she is, denied him
yea god
what a bitch being offended at someone downplaying her god
Sacrilege isnt a thing
Vol'jin even stated how night elves we're similar to trolls
I don't know, there's a lot of evidence for elune being/creating the naaru, but it kinda feels like too many things are directly tied to azeroth
Which makes sense**
that's not downplaying their belief system that's kept them alive and protecting Azeroth
and that's canon so why is that offensive or even close to Velen insulting Elune?
I mean, Im still betting that naaru or not, Elune was placed there by the titans to watch over the planet
Because it's stating that Elune is a lesser creature
there's no evidence to Elune having created the naaru
other than tis a theory that Khadgar made
How Lilo?
Azeroth is a naaru wat
the night elves are not Elune
but what if Elune is a night elf? π€
what if elune is tyrande travelled back in time, to watch over the fledgling night elf people?
ew tyrande
what if all the old gods are actually the good guys and are just misunderstood
that's what Ive been saying this whole time
"It's not a phase mom"
I mean, the titans did make a lot of doomsday weapons to destroy the planet
tru
I mean, you're not wrong
what makes them old gods? the humans don't even have any "new" gods
Because theyre older tahn time itself
and theyre gods
its like the 'Great Old Ones/Outer Gods' in Lovecraftian myths
if no old god has made a grandpa/ grandma joke by now, i'm disappointed
there is a timeline where 1 old god has made at least 1 of those jokes
its not this one
coooot
but its out there
saddaysman
if there are infinite realities, why are there not infinite titans?
or infinite sargeras' to lead the legion
And to answer your question, it's because Night Elves don't see the Naaru being as powerful as Elune is, so that would in fact state her being a lesser creature (to a certain degree)
yes.which is why Tyrande took offense to Elune being compared to a naaru
putting her on the same level as a naaru is insulting to their religion basically
I understand that
But?
how is that similar in any way to Trolls being compared to Night elves
despite the fact that the world knows the trolls are ancestors of the elves
in Marvel lore, there are infinity amount of Galactus/ Thanos/ etc but they never interact with each other.
But there's only one One Above All because he's basically The God of Marvel Comics
Because they look down at trolls and refuse to think that they come from such a lower being of existence
and thats stan lee.
blue guy?
Whether they believe it or not is up to them. Its the truth. Whereas for Tyrande, insulting her religion that's saved the world countless times with a windchime is still a very large afront.
there are lots of Blue guys in marvel.
be more specific
which is why Im wondering why she's being called a bitch because of a reasonable reaction
what even is elune?
a god
kang the conquerer, that's what it is
my uqestion is, how does someone insult a religion with a windchime
by saying their god is that windchime
well yeah but like titan level god? one of the wild gods? on teh same level as the void lords or the light? like what sort of god
i don't see how that's insulting
Reason why I'm calling her a bitch is because they still retain a lot of the mindset that the Highbornes have.
No they dont?
Had*
They hate magic.
do the naaru have any real power? or are they just kinda there
they don't really seem to do much
Naaru are beings of the Light
Empire isn't a mindset tsk tsk
the only reasonable elves imo are of the Horde variety
^^
the ones that got pissing for being punished for working with evil naga?
granted, garithos was an asshole
They weren't exiled for that Green
Because they still retain a lot of their mindset of how they're more superior to most other races
Can you show me any time they've actually done this?
Let me finish my point if you will
Fully type out your point them
both of you get a room pls
green show me where they've looked down on the other races or shown that.
Brann tried to link the night elves and the trolls together and the night elves took offense to that. Basically stating that they see the trolls as a lower form of being.
when and where was this Lilo?
aren't most of the brann theories from the rpgs?
back in WotLK and cata brann had a little jounral print to canonize his thories
like the Trolls being one of the first races on Azeroth and what the elves came from
I have recorded all Warcraft III cutscenes in full HD with highest quality settings, AA etc. because no one else did so before. I've also uploaded them on ra...
here's them looking down on the other races btw
first cutscene
Out of date. The same is seen in WoW and none of that is regurgitated.
Wc3 is out of date.
third war stuff in there, like Hyjal which is what that mission is from, is out of date now because its in game. Updated.
You dont remember going off to Hyjal to protect it from the legion?
You can speak to tyrande there. She doesn't exhibit any of that language.
doesn't mean she never had that mindset
^^
jaina is never shown in game to have been peaceful towards the horde
but she was
not anymore anyway
wha?...She did in Theramore. She even tells you that peace is needed. She advocates for it and shows praise to Varian for sparing Saurfangs life.
She tries to stop thrall from encountering varian indalaran
If a previous game's lore hasn't been contradicted or retconned, chances are, it's canon still, Vris
unless its also just been dropped from existence
like paladins being immune to poisons and plagues.
how was it dropped from existence?
and?
Most of WCIII is still very canon
most of the books and such on wc3 really only add details
^^
Yes and most of those details have become obsolete.
They have either been dropped completely or replaced entirely.
Vris, ur saying that but
Or never mentioned
unless Bliz confirms that everything in Wc3 is no longer canon, you shouldn't say that.
I never said everything in WC3 isn't canon?
u may as well have
so why is this one specific detail not canon then?
You were referring to that is was
I've said 1 thing in WC3 is obsolete and out of date.
because its not continued and have been dropped.
Which could also be put in the context that it is not canon
If you place that context, then I can't stop you from doing so?
she also refers to them as mongrels when talking with malfurion later
Because doesn't retconned story lines get dropped and discontinued?
it's clearly a theme in wc3
that the nelves don't like outsiders
^^
Outsiders destroy their forests.
you said it was obsolete and out of date for the sole purpose of being in Wc3 and never having been mentioned again.
therefore, it seems reasonable to think that you intended to say that the entirety of wc3 isn't canon.
if you didn't intend to say that, however, think of what you're going to say before u sound funny
she still holds that mentality in game, mostly toward the horde tho
so I suppose not the best example
But she does with the other members of alliance aswell
I've never seen that being exhibited but alright if you all want to think it
you haven't but the horde has
Yes because you're filthy barbarians
there it is.
that's what we're talking about
What? It's a proven fact that orcs dont bathe and the horde are built on survival of the fittest.
And camaraderie
tyrande was friends with an orc during the war of the ancients, she worked side by side with them during the battle of mount hyjal, and yet she still looks down on them
i like alliance
Broxigar
To be fair in that same game
She was allies with Broxigar
she acts like she's never seen an orc
true
yeah that's true
survival of the fittest hasn't steered the Horde wrong much except in Garrosh's case.
Meanwhile the Alliance doesn't seem to know the meaning of "Teamwork"
That was also 10,000 years in the past too
That doesn't mean much for the elves
Is this weeks brawl awful or is it just me?
were the immortal before the tree was planted tho?
the way sylvanas is shaping up makes me feel like i wont like this char aat all
Tyrande clearly remembers Suramar turning their backs on the civil war. She remembers a lot of the strife her people have gone through.
They were not. They still can live for thousands of years without the tree
Sylvanas has had a stick up her ass since... wrath, i think
Same with Draenei
they just need elf dope
living well past your natural lifespan? that's not nothing
For the terms of REMEMBERING YOUR PAST
the nelfs need Dwarf beer and some dope that would take down an elephant
it is nothing
people in their 40s have a hard time remembering things from their childhood
and that's not even half of our lifespan
because human brains deteriorate Green
elves dont
as I said before
She remembers the War of the ancients very well
she remembers Suramars actions to her call
That's because 40s is slight past the human lifespan my dear
i'm 18 and i can't remember anything before i was 8
Even Alleria remembers details
and Alleria's been alive for over a thousand years. High elves dont normally live past 300-400 years.
isn't Alleriaa herself a helf
Yes. She is.
they were preserved by some weird naaru witchcraft
isn't that contradictory then
But she also had an increase in age due to the twisting nether, so that's more like being alive 20k+ years
The thousand years is with the twisting nether Lilo
and no it isn't Edgy. Noting that she is living past the normal life span of her race isn't contradictory
Humans can live to 100, does that contradict the human race, despite that being 30 years past the average lifespan?
humans can live to *122
That's not average though
humans can live for however long we decide to live for.
Average is 76-77
100 isn't average either tho
ok, so her not knowing about orcs was clearly retconned
I'm sure in-game humans can, moreso than their real life counterpart
because by y'alls look on it
it's not because there's nothign contradictory in the game of WoW
despite it having just been dropped and never mentioned ever again
it's kinda funny that humans are portrayed as the most heroic and honorable race in wow despite their real life counterparts
we like to project as a race Edgy
no shit
why do you think so many 'alien' females are fuckable
I don't really see them as the most heroic though
eh, i could be wrong.
i play horde mostly
In my honest opinion that'd probably be Blood elves or orcs, not really humans
I see the dwarves as the most heroic.
I see dwarves as being alcoholic
I don't really see blood elves as most heroic, they did some weird things to sustain their mana addiction
Like steal a Naaru
and orcs did some pretty weird things aswell
and steal its life force and turn it into a being of shadow
And suck daddy Kil'jaedan
MOGU MASTER RACE
#NoLivesMatter
Oh yea and orcs raped and pillaged.
So do Harpies
pandaren are probably the most noble race on azeroth, but we like to pretend they don't exist
what's the orcs excuse
ooh, on that note, which nelf was it that got horny and wanted to bang Sargeras?
Azshara
Highborne*
ew
She wasnt' a nelf, she was a Highborne
close enough
Not really
Like you orcs are actually gronn?
they're the same race tho, one just used arcane, the other was peasents
Culture is different for the most part
using peasants loosly
they both pretty cocky
the highborne was just a social status in the old night elf empire
It was more than that Infernos.
got a word wrong in that ^
Highborne were noted to be physically different to their Kaldorei-night elf counterparts due to the constant exposure to the Well of Eternity.
which is weird, since wasn't it the well that made the nelves into nelves?
why would it then make some of them look different
wasn't it the well that made all elves, period?
The Sunwell was made from a vial of the Well of Eternity's water
which is how the Highborne turned into the elves we know nad love today
so, yes?
The Highborne, also known as Highborn[1] or High-borne,[2] β Quel'dorei meaning "children of noble birth" in Darnassian and "high elves"[3][4] in Thalassian) were the upper classes of the Kaldorei civilization and the favored servitors of Queen Azshara. Despite their near-identical physical appearance, the ancient Kaldorei were already split across racial lines as night elves and
hey wait, if azeroth was a holy titan, as talked about earlier, does that mean that the well of eternity and the original sunwell were actually fonts of holy power not arcane?
Nope they are fonts of ARCANE
π€ π€
the sunwell is only Holy NOW because of M'uru's heart
but why would they be arcane if it's a wound in azeroth who may or may not be holy in nature?
Because Azerite is shown to have holy properties
Which we dont actually know if its the Azerite or if its a blessing on the weapons
fair enough
it probably also has unholy properties as well and really, it's about balance more than holy/ unholy-ness
Plus, it was an old god being ripped out of the ground that caused the Well of Eternity
in the wikia the highborne are just a social status
The only reason the well was made was because ripping out that old god left a wound on the titan that is Azeroth
Wikia is out of dat.e

since both wikia and wowpedia are out of date were does it say that the highborne are different from the night elves?
@steel venture do you remember the exact book that stated it? I forgot its name
Hmm, not seeing much bfa discussion here. lol
there's nothing to discuss on BFA that we haven't already discussed
Shit that happened at Dire Maul
how about them golden elf eyes
so now we're just on lore discussions
That's what #no-wow-discussion is for then. π
http://www.wowhead.com/news=282975/pirate-transmogs-added-in-battle-for-azeroth-26287?webhook/pirate-transmogs-added-in-battle-for-azeroth-26287 we could talk about this
I mean the highborne before the sundering with azshara honker
there ya go Inferos
oh yeah.
@elder otter why is the title so clickbaity on that link
"Pirate transmogs..."
expects to see transmogs
Everything is poor quality
theyre labeled cosmetics
What ya mean?
white quality can't be transmogged
you can't mog white items.
might be a mistkae on blizzs part tho
^^
and will get fixed later
I wish we could tbh
I like the simple looking weapons
there's a lot of really good white item sets in the game
everything before BfA is irrelevant
They're cosmetic, either Blizzard is changing the color or it's just a nuance of alpha.
oic
why are we even here discussing anything then Edgy
maybe we'll get to transmog white items next xpac
I believe there was a cosmetic item that was not transmoggable
BECAUSE MAGIC
But I can't remember for the life of me
since there's going to be a lot less sets since no class sets
maybe they'll lessen the transmog restirctions to compenate
You can still have themed sets
There are no cosmetic items you can get that are white
xd
or it's just mislabled white
Probably meant to be green
they aren't cosmetics
All the currently avaialble cosmectic armor
bronze glasses? I thought that was a major complaint on the forums, they couldn't be used once the anniversary event was over
http://www.wowhead.com/item=147885/bronze-tinted-sunglasses not tied to anniversary.
coot
Really really disappointed with Blizzard for making this mog only usable during anniversary events. We spent badges on this, and it's not like we can only use the past anniversary pets once a year, so why do this? π¦
from the comment page
for the item
I only wear them anyways whenever I rp as Cuban Pete

Does that mean he's gonna be a npc again instead of just a memory?
yea. Supposedly that's Zalazane fighting him
and then Voljin turns out to be aloa now
oooh
Vol'jin got shafted hard which makes me sad
same :c
he gets to become a freaking god
He's in HOTS
a lot of characters are in hots
so once voljinn is eventually added to hots can i scream horde favoritism?
hey, the Alliance is on its second king, meanwhile the horde has gotten so many warchiefs, i've lost count.
Horde favoritism my ass
second, if you don't count bolvar as being a placeholder king
i don't
but either way, it's still favoritism because horde has had more warchiefs
that's what I call more story development
why don't alliance get to have characters die like the horde do?
points to Varian
I like that literally anything can be spun to be faction favoritism
that word. i don't think it means what you think it means
literally
look at Vris talking about metaphors. they grow up so fast
Ive always talked about metaphors what
was that a metaphor for something?
maybe
to be fair, the alliance lacked a king until the end of Burning Crusade
If I recall
It had a king, just not Varian Wrynn
it had anduin, who was still a kid. Onyxia was the technical leader
Pretty much
Varian shoulda married Katrana Prestor π
i can't remember who was king before varian
Llane
o
King Llane was actually going to appear in the Halls of Valor, but that got nixxed in the Alpha
Would've been interesting to see
it was removed because players felt it was weird to see non-vrykul there
and so did the devs
what do yall think of the new voice lines?
Admittedly
Odyn collecting the spirits of major heroes
Does raise a lot of questions about the afterlife
Which Blizz has otherwise generally avoided
(And of course they would inevitably have completely avoided the dubious notion of Odyn gobbling up spirits of heroes)
(#Odynistherealvillain)
Cut to Odyn making wakka wakka noises ala pac man
#helyadidnothingwrong
helya did a lot wrong
there once was a maid from boralus
whos heart suffored dark fits of mailce
when her love when astray
she brndished her blade
and cut off the poor sailors... uhh
wait.. how's that once go again... Ballast - Angus_Ballaster
omg those sound files are awesome.. and so so savage
Why didn't Helya take down the halls of valor if she could?
#heyladidsomethingswrong
Helya wanted Odyn to suffer and watch his precious vrykul succumb to corruption and watch Azeroth burn for it. @ruby prawn
Ty
"(And of course they would inevitably have completely avoided the dubious notion of Odyn gobbling up spirits of heroes)"
nope. why are there no heroes in halls? not for blizz to avoid anything, but because he gobbled them up. /s
and they forgot to mention how helya is the evil being she is now thanks to odyn when he enslaved her making her a val'kyr
that wasn't forgotten. It was spelt out very clearly in Chronicles.
I meant in the stormheim storyline helya could have told us that odyn is not so good and that her goal was revenge alone against him
instead of her going "im going to rule everything muahahahaha"
yea but that's the corruption fully taking hold. And we know she's sitting Odyn up there and we need Odyn for the fight against hte Legion apparently
but like 60% of the forces we 'recruit' dont actually do anything
So my launcher just started downloading the alpha... does that mean I'm in? I haven't seen an email or anything else from blizzard. Maybe just wait for it to finish downloading and see what happens....
There is, yeah

Grrrr
Guess my 4 allied races will get plenty of rested XP this weekend
I hope that you wont treat it like early access and give lots of feedback/bug testing
^^^^
this is very important
you are part of a small group of testers
your feedback and bug reports are extremely important
^
^^
so how many people got alpha in the latest "wave"?
in the general chat of the zone I was testing (yes, I'm giving FEEDBACK and BUG REPORTS) people were implying a lot of people got in
I imagine it's up in the 400-500 range.
it's super cringy to see people complaining about how zones look and no addons tho :(
it's alpha, really people
ignore them
general chat is still garbage even on alpha
i still havent gotten in
i know i will in beta
but im tired of waiting
^
I don't expect to get in alpha. Would be nice to get into beta, but I'm not going to be bothered if I don't.
I'd love to get into Alpha or Beta (I'd actually give feedback and bugs) but I doubt I will xD
I hope I dont get access. I wont be able to play it to much.
I'd be okay if I got into either, but I honestly don't mind either way
I don't want access because I don't want too many visual spoilers
If that makes sense
Yea I get it. I dont want to listen in because music helps me really get into it.
demo warlock is looking spicy in the alpha, considering that you can summon raid bosses as temporary pets
well
they arent actual raid bosses
and they only do slightly more damage
they are just dungeon boss scale
and its very rare
remember peach, you just have to make them think its OP for them to like it
yeah
was IN FACT an actual raid boss
hes not a raid boss though
he was the last boss of original karazhan
he was a hearthstone card i thought
Nah Malchezaar is from Karazhan
he's the last boss there. he was squatting in there ripping into timelines and gathering artifacts
remember that 90% of hearthstone cards especially legendaries are actual npcs from wow
guess he needs a new job what with the end of the burning legion
i hope they add jaraxus
It's how Thrall got Gorehowl. Somehow Malchezaar got it.
then someone can make an addon
Jaraxxus is the new Doomguard ritual?
or he can say YOU FACE JARAXXUS everytime he spawns
they come from nether portal
its a talent with a 2min cooldown
they should bring back the old Doomguard ritual
for 20 seconds, every time you spend a soul shard you spawn a random demon
no they shouldnt
and let us glyph Jaraxxus in or rather. A 'random old demon boss'
it was obnoxious
It was fun!
but doing them more than once was obnoxius
Who knows, might strike up another government research like the Vanilla plaguespreading glitch.
just the thought of someone in pvp normally strolling around thinking "oh look demo warlock, let me burst him down"
then both malchezaar and jaraxxus pop out of nowhere
and his brain bluescreens
why would they bluescreen?
what do you mean qabout the talent?
On the alpha every soul shard spent summons a demon from the nether portal
^
it was bufffed
because some of the demons suck
and it only lasts 20 seconds, so it needs to have a serious impact to stay relevant
i'm going to use it regardless if i can summon jaraxxus
they also removed demonic empowerment
and replaced it with demonic tyrant
Summon a Demonic Tyrant to increase the duration of all of your current demons by 15.0 sec, and increase the damage of all of your other demons by 15%, while casting Shadow Bolt Volley at your enemies.
and implosion is baseline
so ya know
demons
the way i expect to build mine, im going to be able to summon all of the normal demons as well as bilescourge and if in a raid, a vilefiend too
plus whatever you normally summon
and the demonic tyrant
its so many demons
now,if you spec into having as many demons as possible
you have imps, dreadstalkers, tyrant, vilefiend, the bats, the ones from the portal
that's going to make some people lag hard
also, they made it so you summon imps from hand of guldan by default
so that isnt a required talent anymore
ye 1 imp every 10 sec
not to mention the back and forth with demonic core and demonbolt
honestly theyve finally nailed the fantasy of the class
and assuming its damage isnt shit
it will be one of the most fun specs imo
the most fun thing
is seeing people get swarmed by enormous amounts of demons
and you're there laughing
you have truly become an evil overlord
gg blizz
they still need a new mastery
i assume it will tie into demonic core somehow
especially since it wont tie into demonic tyrant since that is learned two levels after the mastery
Wouldn't the mastery of 'increased damage from Demons' sorta thing work? like BM?
maybe
right now it increases the effect of demonic empowerment, which no longer exists
so it literally does nothing
my guess is they are still trying to figure it out
I just hope that demo gets unique fire animations
Cause right now itβs just pyroblast
have locks already received their updated spell effects in legion?
if they still have a bunk mastery, no reason to think animations are finished
no
they are getting them in BfA
point proven
The animations are in the model viewer just not implemented afaik
They added their combat idle a few builds back
i noticed that as well
well theres a reason it isnt implemented
