But that is a point, Wildhammer are pretty similar to the standard Bronzebeard dwarves we play
Given they -could- have just given base dorfs a red eye option
They already have a light grey skin
And left it at that
But instead we got a great DI model
They could've done the same thing for orcs when where they have their gray skin to act as one of the Blackrock orcs
But what would their beards be though?
More tribal looking
Dark Irons are literally “cursed” by Ragnaros.
Bones and feathers
tbh, having cool fire hair and eyes is hardly a curse
they had druids in the RPG, but thats not canon anymore
Same with the whole Med'an story arc
If thicc bois can be druids
There are wildhammer involved with some of the druids in BfA
But that's the thing, Kul'tirans are off-shoots (lore wise) of the Gilneans we see
So it makes sense they get to be a druid
Gilnaens never learned to shapeshift until they met night elvs
Kultirans are druids because of Harvest Witches
Actually there's contestion on that Hyper
^^
Kul Tiran druids aren’t druids because of harvest stuff, they’re druids because of the drust
As Genn does note that watching the night elves shapeshift reminds him of the harvest Witches in gilneas
...Huh
Wildhammer also live like right next to a connection to the emerald dream
We don't see Stormwindians being druids, do we?
And it'd help them stand out and give Alliance more druid options
Stormwind humans are more civilized.
Assuming Blizz still cares about numbers of race/class options
when I think of wildhammer I think of the iconic shamanistic stormhammer atop a gryphon
^^
As I said, not the iconic class
But more arguable than orc mages 😛
Of course, in the end
I'mma pull a Mike Morheime "You think you, but you don't."
If Blizz decides they want to do it
Gryphon form with a beard.
That's bascailly why they dont conform to everything hte community wants Lilo
True
Heck, Pap Jeph pointed it perfectly. When he was a game designer in Vanilla he said that he could mail everyone 1000 gold and they'd complain it wasn't 2000.
Ram travel form.
That is very true
meh
But yeah, as Vris said, Wildhammers are more of a shamanistic nature rather than druidic
if fucking trolls can be druids
anything is possible
Very true
Wilderness dwarves can
^^
#removeclassrestrictions
Still hoping it’s a wildhammer/high elf combo, since they’re longstanding allies and both have lodge mentalities
its whether or not enough become druids .
Same with being a paladin or a priest
Alas, druids are exactly why they won't remove class restrictions
Think about it, it doesn't make sense to see a gnomish druid does it?
^
But a conglomerate of them? nah.
I'd play a sand gnome druid
Same way with Goblins, forsaken, and orcs.
I mean, Zandalari Druids and Tauren paladins show that classes can be anything lorewise, with the class as a mechanical representation
It doesn't make sense
I’m still waiting for Orc druids tbh
For the most part, yes. But a forsaken can't be a paladin.
We see one in Draenor
Give gnomes mechanical forms and lore that they siphon life, boom gnome druid
(That wasn't a legit paladin)
I think they meant orc Druid on Draenor
Lore wise, forsaken can't connect with the light in such way to be able to wield light in such manner
Ah
Pardon
uh
that's actually not true Lilo.
But forsaken can connect to the light just fine
@tropic trail Alonsus Faol?
Just causes mental pain
Scarlet Crusade undead.
He's a priest. Not a paladin.
. . .
They can keep their faith and convictions in undeath
Scarlet Crusade are void of their holy power for the most part though
Priest or paladin, its the same light they draw from
Zekiel or whatever his name is
They aren't though
One of the old school Horsemen
For the most part, not completely
even under control of a dreadlord they're still all paladins and priests
The Light answers those who believe their cause is good
they still use light. Whitemane is a Horseman and she is still connected to the Light, as was Ziek, Whitemanes former.
Undeath does not mean you can't draw upon the Light, nor is your connection severed. You are the one who severs it
The Light didnt abandon the Forsaken, the Forsaken abandoned the Light. Well, most of them.
^
The Light answers to conviction, righteousness, and fanaticism.
It doesn't care what those are being forced upon, the victims or the user. When ones faith is lost or broken, that's when the Light abandons them
"The Knights of the Silver Hand was the original paladin order. Formed during the Second War, it was at its height until the time of the Plague. As paladins were immune to the Plague (and indeed all diseases), many members of the Order survived the initial push of the Scourge."
Knights of the Silver Hand of old, yes were immune
But?
however, our current day paladins do not share this immunity.
^
Where did you pull that btw?
But what about Zekiel? He's was part of the Silver Hand, was he not?
It's a piece of lore from WCIII
Paladins can still be killed and raised, Lilo.
But they won't retain the same power
Yup Zeliek was a paladin of the original crusade
before it turned scarlet
still turned undead adn kept his connection to the Light
His mind is free, but his body acts against his will.
Then why didnt Alexandros Mograine?
He did. Sorta. I wasn't around for the original naxx
Even Uther, who is a ghost and imprisoned in Frostmourne, is able to project his spirit away from Icecrown to his tomb in the Plaguelands, and bless people.
but Im seeing here that Mograin did fire damage. Named Righteous Fire.
According to lore he was severed completely
Some holy people are just that powerful
Im looking at the Wowpedia page now
there's nothing stating that he lost his connection by being raised as a DK
Now granted that WCIII's comment about paladins being immune hasn't been directly contradicted, it is something to note that most of WCIIIs lore was based on its mechanics. As it's never actually been stated in the lore going forward, it is safe to say its simply outdated.
But the lore can't be outruled completely, because majority of the lore established by WC 1-3 is still valid as supported by the new books that detail the Canon currently.
And the Ashbringer doesn't retain any of the properties unless it was cleansed and channeling actual light instead if the necrotic powers the death knights have. This has to at least support something of what I was saying.
I snagged a Alpha invite, if anyone wants to watch or come chat and ask questions let me know!
Ashbringer isn't what gave Mograin his light abilities
his faith is
Like me and Honk were saying, you can be forsaken and still be a paladin or priest in the Light sense because to be able to call upon Light takes faith, conviction, self-righteousness etc. Evil, good, these things dont exist to the Light.
I wasn't saying he was drawing from the Ashbringer, I'm saying that Ashbringer draws from the wielder which is a clear indication of what they are
it doesn't though. :l the Ashbringer is made a weapon of Holy Light from the heart of a naaru. Just like the naaru, when introduced with a massive amount of shadow magic andmalice, they turn into shadow. Can be cleansed later on.
the ashbringer wasn't corrupted from shadow magic tho, it was corrupted by patricide I thought
also, if it was forged from the heart of a naaru, and it can be cleansed, why didn't we do that with the naaru in seat of the triumvirate?
god that bronze stuff is so dumb and unnecessary
and this is coming from someone who loves bronze dragons
Glad Blood Elves only got golden eyes and not blue :D
Means more chance for High Elves for alliance now xD
Was G'huun made before or after the Val'kyr or the was it the same time?
Before, because the titans were still around
What? Vol'jin... you could not have grown so strong without becoming... a...
Loaaaaaa? 😮
-and who the fk is Geyarah?-
Likely. Because facing off against Zalazane
Also, still no sign of Vereesa at Teldrassil, just night elves for alliance
Reading that now
Aw, the ancients even defend Teldrassil 😦
I love ancients
Sounds like Shandris is there
I fear that she is going to die v.v
I wonder what the whole golden eyes thing is about
Still betting its shandris there, not Vereesa
It also brings up the question if other mainstream races will get new options
I dont think there will be much of an explanation, just something elves have in canon now
Seems Light-related
Ya
Well yeah, since the Sunwell is Light now.
Look at Liadrin in art
-waits silently for blue eye options and alliance murdering blizz-
Seems some Belves have begun to cleanse from their fel taint
Their eyes glow whatever kind of magic they use
High Elves arcane or whatever, Blood Elves fel(and now that the lightwell is cleansed, the light)
Less what they use, more what they consume
Belore’dorei
Write it down. Mark my words.
That actually sounds kinda good
If not a bit too long
Or Alah’dorei as a direct translation
They need to add more options like this to other races
-pushes people back to talk about broadcast text-
Ion said they wouldn’t but they clearly are so who knows
Maybe the art team is having a little extra time
Vol’dun will probably be open next build, based on the vulpera text
Little extra time? Nonsense! Put them to work.
@uncut vault ye vulpera text solidifies them as horde,as well as the horde-flagged vulpera vendor NPCs in zuldazar
Sethrak for Alliance asdfghjkl yasss
It does?
I feel like the Mag'har and Dark Iron are likely coming prepatch or something thouh
though
I don’t see how Mag’har and Dark Iron tie into the story directly, so I would say so, too
I wanna know who this Geyarah is though
Are Durotan and Grommash still alive? Whats the deal with them and other leaders that we met.
Maghar and Dark Iron will be prepatch is my bets
Grommash is, he’s warchief
Leads the United Mag’har clan
Me too, Geyarah is probably a military leader now that the orcs there actually need to deal with cooperation and an entire world instead of just war
Eitrigg recruiting them also kinda suggests that everyone in the embassy will recruit something?
Thats my hope anyhow
That or he’s just the only one that really fits
I can’t see Tyrande or Genn recruiting anyone other then Kaldorei Worgen, so unless they do it together
I mean, why else would other leaders be there if they didn't have anyone to try and recruit.
Though genn is Kul Tirans I suppose
Tyrande doesn't seem to be at the battle- so she must still be in Stormwind or something
Shame they didn’t put Falstad or Muradin in there
Falstad is
I am going to feel terrible killing newly awakened ancients
Grommash should replace Slyvanas xD
Slyvanas
Seeing how fast ancients grow from Felwood too, they’re probably like, very newly awoken
I can't spell her name okay xD
Sylvanas
Slvynanus
It mentions sleeping thousands of years
xD
Poor dudes
Can you explain to me how this vulpera text confirms horde? I mean, they obviously are horde.
But I can't see it in the text
Really wish ancients were still important
But honestly I think High Elves for alliance have a really really High chance now after Blood Elves not getting blue eyes 😄
Haven’t been any with relevance since MoP and even then it was barely relevant
They will kill them all at the battle and say they have to regrow seven more expansions to appear again
Drorith, I somewhat doubt it.
At this point I think it’s likely, just not soon.
I mean, technically both blood elves and high elves could have blue eyes once the taint goes away.
In an expansion or two if they ever follow up on Alleria’s promise, I can see a Hinterlands vs Quel’thalas conflict
Yeeee
Give elf haters time to settle their rage, actually dedicate time to Quel’thalas
Playable helfs or not, my dream is to see an HD elf lodge
Yesss 😄 hopefully!
Yall know the golden eyes isnt from lightforging
Yeah it’s from sunwell
OK good. Cuz it does not sound like anyone knows where they came from.
xD
Hey. Just got access. Does the wowhead looter addon work with alpha? When in the looter options, it declares that "Beta World of Warcraft path is invalid".
Or should I ask in the Site-feedback-support chat instead?
Also
High Elves will likely have golden eyes, since Quel’thalas allows them to live and visit the Sunwell.
<_<
gold! (gold!) always believe in your sooouuul, you've got the power to know!
YOU'RE INDESTRUCTIBLE
Yes but the High elves aren't connected tot he Sunwell like the Blood elves are.
Their trips are more so respect than actual feedings.
@true matrix Yes, I 100% want High Elves for Alliance allied race! 😄
I'm sorry bud but it's not happening
Well for one you don't know that xD
void elves are as close as you're getting., at least for the foreseeable future
well like. that's just your opinion man
hell, void elves were a stretch considering they had to shave off a subsection of blood elves just to have enough in lore to make the race playable at all
there are barely any high elves left at all
Population is not an issue for Allied races
After what. 7 years now of constant end of the world scenarios that have people dying left and right?
The horde and alliance shouldn't even exist at this point
^
I think we have enough elves as it is
as much as I love them, even four different kinds is a lot
if they were going to add high elves, why not put them in instead of void elves?
because alleria storyarc
^
it doesn't make sense to invent a new subrace just for her though
Despite the fact that she kinda did make a new race? She is the first after all.
I just can't really see them adding another type of elf into the game, at least not any time soon
some day? maybe. I'm loathe to completely rule out the possibility. it just seems like we've already got a bit of an elf saturation problem 😹
Id argue we had a saturation of orcs in Pandaria. We got WoD right after.
I'd disagree with pandaria but WoD definitely had hella orc fatigue. that's not really to do with the playable races tho
Honestly I think if High Elves became and Allied race for Alliance those who don't like them or don't want them don't have to play them they are not obliged to 😄
I'm not saying I'd not like to see them, I just don't think it's all too likely
I tend not to hold too high expectations for blizzard
we also got a saturation of demons in WoD. (Pandaria had just about 2 years of Orcs with the Barrens patch and SoO right after and WoD had demons for I think 16 months and then legion right after. ) We got Legion which is just even more demons
but hey, I'm welcome to be pleasantly surprised
I mean with the mass amount of support via the community they are getting, it could happen but yeah who knows Blizzard will do what Blizzard wants to do xD
saturation means nothing
like I said, I'm talking specifically about player races
Orcs in Pandaria and WoD. The idea of saturation means nothing to blizzard.
hecken, we're poised to get 4, possibly 6, new allied races over the life of BFA. Saturation means nothing
Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if we get a lot of Allied races in BFA as we've already got a lot confirmed, and wouldn't be surprised if they make more
please there is no thing as too many elves :^)
So what your saying is... Demon allied race when?
considering their lore population numbers, yes their is such a thing as to many, I already have to deal with half the horde player base being elves, no more lol
the amount of blood elves is eww
Pretty sure we're only getting like 12 allies races in BfA. Blizz won't give us more allies then main races. And if the Alliance want High Elves, I say give them to the Alliance. As long Blizz give the Horde the Northrend Vrykuls.
Horde is supposed to be the misfits, not the pretty people
the only way high elves are happening is if they give high elf customization to blood elves.
Horde could have undead Elves?
traditional high elves, like the ones from WC1 / WC2 literally no longer exist.
they were the backstory to modern blood elves
all current high elves are a hollow shell that're more selfish than their claims against blood elves
and basically the flattest, most uninteresting, most uninspired faction of elf remaining
since they're literally nothing like their predecessors and just exist to be "pretty humans"
seriously.
if you replaced the silver covenant with an all-human faction most of the story with them would be unchanged.
The only unqiue factor the remaining high elves have left is their (recolored) architecture and appearance, that's it.
Yet they add golden eyes for unknown reason
Golden eyes likely will be a customization option for blood elves based on the fact that the Sunwell is light-based now.
Similarly to how orcs are getting an upright option.
why would the Vrykul go against their descendants?
I could see it looking nice for a paladin but besides that meh
and the Golden eyes is a thing that should have been done a long time ago
since the sunwell was BC
(I just hope this means silver eyes for male night elves and amber eyes for female night elves)
(in the future)
High Elves are still highly likely now xD in my opinion
We are getting furries and scalies
They have nothing, literally, that would make them viable as an allied race.
All of their traits have already been done by blood elves and now void elves.
Void elves had to be 'remixed' to make them distinctly seperate from blood elves too.
gib sethrak
Xan is right tho
as I said
(https://us.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/20762018181 https://legacyofqt.tumblr.com/) Some pretty good damn reasons on these why High Elves should be alliance allied race 😄
idk i just dont see the appeal in playing even paler, aryan-styled elves that're 100% just pretty humans now
its just something we've wanted since the start of WoW.
they'd need a complete and utter revamp to be viable as an allied race
If they don't appeal to you then don't play them 😄 You're again not obliged to 😃
Now there's a legitimate chance we can get em
^
lets agree that sethrak > high elves
well, vris, you keep denying everyone else's idea for allied races
it's our time to deny yours
and we have evidence this time
Alright?
Have fun I guess.
I'll have my fun with it. I'm explaining to Xan the appeal that people have to High Elves.
sethrak will reign supreme
Sethrak > High elves, yes.
Approved.
Already happened
ffs
And yeah, I know the appeal. It's just like---it's a 99% nostalgia appeal though because god
gags at how the silver covenant is / how veressa is
sethrak bite all the nonbelievers https://imgur.com/HGN9cXh
Yea god
and how the entire thing is like "we just needed meditation! we don't have a crippling addiction unlike those meanie blood elves uwu"
how dare she be so spiteful towards the people who killed her husband and left her a single mother
is their bite their fist fighting animation?
Well its true Xan
we dont know what it's used for,but it's a combat animation yes
its their unarmed combat special anim
High elves in general have never had the exacerbated addiction blood elves do.
so aka their unarmed crit anim
Sethrak monks with 100% crit
tbh, the High Elves are the only ones who stood up for the Alliance and didn’t listen to their King when he said to not aid the Alliance in the Second War.
So
... ngl probably would make a sethrak MW
They have I N T E G R I T Y
for those serpent-style animations
also in case you havent seen it yet, there's also a unique idle animation @steel venture @terse patrol https://imgur.com/1wAghtI
Blood Elves are just whiners who refuse to acknowledge that they never actually helped stop the Scourge, and blamed humans when the Scourge showed up at their doorstep after destroying Lordaeron
Not really, but even if we go with that.
High elves still had a lot of things handwaved off as if they were nothing.
Vris it is possible, just unlikely, after all humans are mutant deformed Vrykul, and the Vrykul also seem to have an honor system
I personally doubt it though
modern humans in wow seem to lack honor
they also forget that Garithos was the man who saved Quel’thalas from the Orcs in the Second War, and lost his family protecting elves who didn’t do a damn thing protecting the Alliance from the Orcs.
yea that's why Anduin kills his unarmed prisoner and orders the blight on his own city
We saw how bad the addiction was until high elves somehow get this godly immunity to it through 'peace and meditation and little tiny magic artifacts. uwu'
owait
she's undead horde actually
Anduin is a pretty shitty excuse of a leader
but ofc
Anduin is like nineteen let him live.
Garithos is just an empty evil racist man!!! It’s not like he had reasons to distrust Elves.
Eighteen / nineteen. Holy fuck.
act like a boy
;P
We all know that Graymane is leading the alliance at this point, and using Anduin as a puppet
pretty much
Even though there's absolutely no evidence of this
a cranky old man and a little boy
🍿
nah that'd be called a good writing twist if it was happening.
but blizzard doesnt know how to nuance that so any similarities to it are just incidental
what is it with people on the internet advocating child violence
TBH I don't even see like, "Genn 'persuading' Anduin's choices" as evil per say.
If it did happen it's just an overbearing projection, given that Genn never was able to guide Liam back on the right path and he ended up being killed for it.
does that make it any less bad if he started projecting hardcore like that? nah
but it wouldn't be technically malicious
no ofc not
people aren't people
Theyre just machines to do whatever we want them to
“genn is evil and manipulating anduin!!!”
https://i.imgur.com/nAPLkv0.jpg genn proudly watching his adopted son anduin
man he looks...
he actually looks like he is evil though
considering they tossed theirs away
the sunken eyes of a man who only wants corpses to litter the ground
I can't help but want Anduin and Sylvanas to kill each other
oh god he's creepy looking
lmao
🧐
Honk where do you get these pics, I need some lol
i make them
he made a ton over in the PTR chat
you sir or madam, are a genius
tbh. short version of the core ideals for both alliance and horde
Alliance - "Unity and order are the driving forces of strength."
Horde - "Survival of the fittest and outlasting the enemy is strength."
savage barbarians the lot of them
Oi
Based on those xan, Sylvanis is actually doing her job
She is
y'all are too hateful to see she's actually being the best warchief since Blackhand.
like 2% of the horde likes Sylvanas
She actually is.
She's not being a good person whilst doing it. But she isn't actually going against the Horde.
She's doing her job
Oh I like her as Warchief, I just think they gave Vol'jiin the shaft to soon
but muh pvp
isn't Vol'jiin becoming a Loa?
I loved Vol'jiin, love of my life
Would be badas
Hell, she's doing more for the survival of the Horde during BFA than Thrall did for the majority of his time as Warchief.
fuck Anduin
lmao, you have any orcs Honk?
too late
For the Alliance!
Fuck the alliance
You do realize that I’m going to ruin the Burning of Teldrassil right
Please do
https://imgur.com/IcVulwZ fuck both sides.
Varian was my only reason for liking the alliance
but welp he's fucking gone
or you know he's gonna resurface and i'll be happy
darn lol
Sethrak are the reason to love the Alliance
how
Cloth 'collars'
I would play a Sethrak and roleplay as a member of the Horde
vulpera / sethrak are the only logical choice if vulpera become playable
allied races will come in pairs
confirmed, by Ion.
Thus there will be no "neutral" allied race.
the cloth collars, how would they work on them, they would have to make them more unique then the reg races by having multiple spots on the neck for the numerous cloth headwear
I mean it makes sense right?
Sethrak wouldn't really fit Alliance tbh in my opinion
oof
No beast race looks good in a helm.
^
That's kind of the tradeoff.
I love that hat
Except worgen's cloth collars literally come out of the back of their neck
I don't wear helmets on the beast races
have you seen the uh rogue heirloom helmet on the worgen
it literally just gets upscaled and stabbed into the back of their neck
and all of those cloth collars usually clip with night elven ears
so idk the point of bringing them up
blizzard doesn't care, they'll bruteforce it
and they don't look half bad 'n blue/gold. >>
and they're getting a pretty decent following too similarly to vulpera.
fff
as the link breaks
sec
I bet they look good in the Zandalari gear
items like these
you realize tauren have stupidly long necks too right?
they're just horizondal
it looks equally bad on them.
Allaince needs a second cool race besides the Dark Iron, but the snakes just seem like a stretch (snake stretch lol)
seriously just do "view in 3D" and look at it on a male tauren
helms in general suck tho
not really since 90% of all helms look godawful on beast races
Im sorry but the amazonian race of mostly women that have defended Azeroth thrice mostly on their own are the coolest race in this game
Sethrak seem to have a big furry following, same with Vulpera lmao
overscaled, stretched and misplaced
Plus the alliance openly excepting a race the thrives on slavery, and eats intelligent creatures
Seems a bit, whats the word I am looking for...
Y'know there's a friendly faction of Sethrak that doesn't do that, right?
Hypocritical?
ya that
Why and how? We fight the horde because theyre the invaders
The enemy sethrak are "faithless" sethrak that go against the loa that created them.
not on any actual moral grounds
Alliance aren't exactly perfect if you hadn't noticed
Neither faction is.
not to mention, the humans enact in slavery all the time
not in alliance lands, but ya know
They are just more "civil" by comparison to the Horde.
Azeroth doesn't have good guys
nly the orcs are invaders though right? Trolls, Tauren, and sorta the forsaken (they were humans once) all were here already
The horde is all the folks the Humans find gross
^
Forsaken are the undead invaders, Orcs are the alien invaders same with Ogres, Trolls and Tauren got roped into their clutches.
https://i.imgur.com/GyF1cHR.png
@sharp bluff what a nice, unflawed, non-misplaced helm
:T
SI:7’s second in command is a goblin
"bruh do i got something in my neck?"
Trolls, Tauren, Pandaren, and Elves all got roped into it.
except the forsaken are from Lorderan correct? at least the playable ones
Not entirely.
it's not the undeads fault
the Forsaken we play are just risen undead.
they didnt ask to be brought back
that's it. where they came from is up to you
But they sure do want to stay here in their rotting corpses don't they
Most Forsaken are from Lordaeron, but not all are. Clearly because there's undead high elves, undead Alteraci, etc.
im quite sure the alliance attacked and hated the trolls before they joined the horde
We have had our issues with the Amani trolls yes
Human's are racists
And the Forsaken has taken in undead that were previously apart of the Scourge as well.
doesnt mean all of the alliance is
But the Darkspear, the other troll tribes in the horde
(Abominations, Val'kyr, etc.)
not so much
but back to the point, most of the horde are native to azeroth
Only because they got roped into it by Thrall.
Orcs/Space goats are the only 'invaders' in a sense
they didnt get roped into it thrall helped them and they joined him as thanks
unity through slavery lol sneks for the alliance
Draenei are more like refugees.
^
Each of the horde races were having a hard time, the orcs helped
and as i've ALSO said before
the sethrak that are aiding us are a friendly faction
the trolls were being attacked by non other than the humans
Granted the elves did attack the Draenei at first, we still opened negotiation to them
Actually the Trolls were being attacked by the Naga and a Sea Witch
not the humans.
That came after they had already joined the horde.
Elves, back when eh well was around looked down on tauren, so that hate starts way back when
the alliance-friendly flightpoint in vol'dun literally is being run by sethrak too.
so it's basically already slanted in such a direction.
... lmao what?
looked down upon=/= hate
tauren were their ALLIES
only after they were losing
they viewed them as primative, but didn't hate them
The tauren may not have approved of the wells usage, but they certainly did not despise them.
I'm talking way back when
they never hated them dude
THEY NEVER HATED THEM?
holy shit
don't talk elf-lore to the two elf fanatics
WHY CANT WE ALL JUST GET ALONG
there has never been a time when the Tauren and Elves hated each other or evenf ought each other
they learned and worked together
Cenarion Circle
Disapproval does not equate hatred
saying night elves elves thinking tauren are more primative = hatred must mean that furbolg are hated too right? lmfao
despite them both being ancient allies of the night elves?
literally blizzard never uses tauren because of the fact that tauren realistically would disprove of most of the shit the horde is doing to the night elves
and they know that
so they shove them aside
isn't BFA kinda changing that
no it isn't
I could have swore someone said old land claims
Tauren STILL advocate AGAINST war
in this chat
Yes because the HORDE wants the old tauren camp that was taken from them in Cata
baine and saurfang literally have the same view of the horde during BFA
that its getting pretty extreme in methods and they don't fully agree with sylvanas because
GASP
the horde isn't very unified!
because they literally have nowhere else to go!
without getting slaughtered!
it's almost likethey dont value unity and stay together for survival or something
cause it isn't like humans clearly have shown they dont give a shit and will butcher tauren similarly to the centaur, nahhh nahh
no ones claimed they are
Well when we move west, at least we have a nice campfire to roast marshmallows over
can't hear you from the Undercity
and arathi. Oh and a great contract with the Cartels in Booty Bay
This forum is gonna be chaos when the expansion hits
This is pretty normal tbh
I mean the horde still has zeppelins going to stranglethorn
and alliance now controls the area.
I doubt the cartels will allow that
yeah but they are still goblins so they will do business with both sides
as they have always done
tbh the only reason gallywix has more stakes with the horde is because he can manipulate the horde better lol
since they're more desperate for resources and weaponry
-if- the horde aren't sabotaged by the alliance due to the fact that they can now operate freely and openly with the cartels
honestly the smartest people outta this whole mess?
The bilgewater?
the people who profit off of both sides. lmao
that doesn't just go for goblins, it goes for most of the neutral trading factions too
don't tie yourself to the direct conflict, don't get in the fray, and you'll probably survive as a trader.
I mean most neutral trading factions are goblins
the real winners in any war are the arms dealers
^
Actually Venture Co. by lore is only hated by the other cartels and night elves / tauren.
It's just in game they're all labeled as mobs to kill for ease of questing.
Razdunk's actually making an appearance because the Venture Co. took over the Undermine and by extension the Motherlode.
Since his logic is, "Everyone will consider me a proper trade prince if I control the Azerite."
re: an earlier conversation I don't think it's right to say "the horde is for misfits" and say the blood elves don't belong there when they are... very much misfits as outcasts from the alliance.
you didn't, no, but @gritty idol did
I think to say the blood elves don't belong in the horde indicates a serious misunderstanding of who and what they are
Personally I dont think they -belong- there, but their circumstances force them in there. It's worth noting that the elves have wanted to break away from the horde, but someone always messes up negotiations. (Mostly because ya know. can't actually change em but still something worth noting)
the elves only wanted to break away from the horde once and it was because garrosh was being a garithos 2.0
Yes, but it's still something to note. While I'm certain Garrosh was a main factor, it certainly wasn't the only one.
Lor'themar has watched the horde through Cataclysm and Lich King. They've not shown the most stable of governments.
It was mostly Garrosh's escalation that pushed them over the edge TBH.
the belves never had a problem with the horde before garrosh
Due to the fact that Garrosh literally ordered sin'dorei to be used as fodder for fetching the Divine Bell and other Mogu artifacts.
Ehh, Lor'themar and Sylvanas don't see eye-to-eye all the time.
It wasn't as SEVERE of a problem until Garrosh.
it was the straw that broke the camels back, yes. But how the horde in general is, there are individuals that have shown distaste for the horde but as I said. Garrosh is what pushed it over the edge.
Mhm.
I think he only had a small problem with sylvanas when she ordered him to send his forces to northrend
and threatened him with retiring forsaken troops from the ghostlands
that's not even their only problem they've had
Sylvanas has openly wanted to raise Sin'dorei as forsaken and dark rangers
And the main difference between Sylvanas in BFA and Garrosh during MoP is this:
Garrosh didn't care about what happens to the other members of the Horde, he viewed them as nothing more than bodies to throw at the enemies, and then later he wanted to exterminate everyone but the orcs.
Sylvanas may reference the other races as the "arrows in her quiver" but she is not planning to toss away the Horde like it was nothing.
you tend to hold arrows until theyre needed
And the acceptance of the Nightborne and Highmountain Tauren clearly shows that she isn't assimilating them either, she just is making sure they know what they get into.
but to be fair, that is just her manipulative side.
As soon as they stop being useful, I garuntee she'll drop them
Which is what she does say to Saurfang ^
If he isn't going to fight then she has no use for him in her Horde.
Since he wants to die instead of lose.
which is reflective of Garrosh and his Kor'kron
only difference is that Garrosh wouldn't leave em. He'd gut em himself
Yes, but under different circumstances by comparison--And that too.
Sylvanas will let you stew in your own choices, and not be there to pick you back up if you fall without her command.
Since she's not wasting her time on those who are disloyal to her.
That's 100% IC for her.
yup. She's not exactly Garrosh, but the similarities cannot be denied between them.
Nope, of course not.
Unlike Garrosh though, she know better than to destroy the Horde from within from her choices.
idk it seems like from the leaked video and text that Suarfang had no plans to leave with Sylvanais, where as if she stayed to retrieve the old orc she would risk herself dying also
Going to enjoy killing Nightborne in Zandalar with the Dark Irons. 8) Damn traitors.
Saurfang at this point is going senile
... Realistically why would you send the leader of the faction to save one person.
You can betray a faction you were never apart of tho
And Nightborne weren't ever Alliance, so they're not traitors.
That also lol, Nightborne never were alliance, so not traitors
Saurfang saw this as his final stand. The hordes final stand. A glorious battle to die in.
So to hear 'retreat'
that's a huge offense
And he's an orc ... So he's going to make a big stink about not dying and "cowardly retreating."
Since orcish culture is fucking suicidal.
Senile at this point, shame no AU Saurfang
Senile isnt the right term
If you run you're worse than dirt.
If you stay and fight until you die and go down laughing at your enemy, you're a hero.
They're warriors, much like the Vikings and Vrykul, they live to die in glorious battle and gain honor for their tribes.
Their main method of settling fueds is a literal fight to the death
I AM FOREVER UPSET AT THEM FUCKING UP HELYA'S STORY SO MUCH. Hel was never evil in nordic mythos!!! fuck off blizz!!!!
she literally was the one who ended up taking care of the people that didnt die gloriously enough. since odin (and by extension, WoW's Odyn) was a dick
technically neither is Helhiem. It's just -corrupted- and -corrupting- because of Helya's corruption
yeah.
she ended up stewing in hatred thanks to loken
since Helhiem is apart of the shadowlands and all that
The Nightborne betrayed the Night Elves in favor of isolationism. 😉
I kinda wished we could have sided with helya instead of her going evil and wanting to rule everything
At least the Highborne had the wisdom of returning to the fold. . .
... uh.
not really
suramar was literally doomed if they didn't shield up
ashamane sacrificed herself to give them enough time to do so
disgust nightborne reeee
since there was a mass of demons barreling down on the city. lead by powerful lieutenants.
Dark Iron justice is coming for them!!!
hell the suramar we have in game is only a fraction of the city
it extended down into the broken shore
(also i assume tho dark iron and mag'har = prepatch)
if dark irons are already alliance by that point in BFA
well
the new ones
i mean
the rest of 'em
I assume the Dark Iron mission is just to take out the last remaining Dark Iron dissidents.
probably.
and mag'har is just "hey do you guys want to actually help now? sorry about closing the portal on you."
Yrel and the Draenor Draenei when
probably not anytime soon
if horde has to bargin with the bronze dragonflight to go back to AU draenor
Do we have any idea on their racials?
not yet
I mean draenor draenei are the same as normal draenei
yeah the main reason mag'har are a thing is because they're still orcs but---uncorrupted orcs are different enough in appearance to be made into an allied race lmao.
the issue with helves is that literally
a helf
and a belf
are basically 99.9% the same.
outside of political differences and a slight tan from fel + slight eyecolor change
Meh I’m still hyped to be a normal orc
I hope they keep some of the racism’s
Racials
They probably wont.
Like the pet damages
honestly i'm probably not even gonna consider my mag'har to be AU tbh
since there's been MU mag'har that've been Horde for a long while too
You could be a Mag’har from outlands lol
Considering that the Dark Iron dont show any of the same racials normal dwarves
they're just pullnig out the AU to give them bigger numbers
Dark iron I feel would be good at engineering
mole machine brah
sounds literally like an open world flight whistle
its gonna be glorious
And fire dmg resistance
How would you know that
Racials
Dungeon Delver: While indoors, move 4% faster.
Fireblood: Removes all poison, disease, curse, magic, and bleed effects and increases your primary stat by 100 for each effect removed. Lasts 8 sec. 2 min cooldown.
Forged in Flames: Reduces damage taken from Physical attacks by 1%.
Mole Machine: While outdoors, summon a Mole Machine that tunnels through the earth. 30 min cooldown.
Mass Production: Items crafted by Blacksmithing are created twice as quickly.
tbh because Mole Machine has the same CD has hearthstone, I think its just a racial hearthstone
hm.
honestly probably then
given that dwarven stuff has been given their own type of hearthstones before
EX: The Innkeeper's Daughter is just another herathstone that comes from Dwarven Archeology.
I really want to know about the zandalari racials
City of gold sounds amazing tbh
5 or six hearthstones?
DUDE IMAGINE DARK IRON SHAMANS
so lets see
astral recall
innkeeper's daughter
the TCG hearthstones
the garrison hearthstone
the dalaran hearthstone
and the default hearthstone
ontop of fucking mole machine
Maximum questing mobility
thats the Dark Portla hearthstone. garrison. Innkeepers, dalaran. default. astral recall. OH YOU FORGOT THE RUBY SLIPPERS!
our bags will be filled with -just- hearthstones at this point
“i need something.” hearths to town, then hearths back to continue questing
"oh shit my auctions just finished. Damn it." hearths back. then hearths back again.
... ooh
Dark Iron supremacy
prior to BFA it seems like they're adding in red dragon hate for DKs lmao
due to the whole mount questline
god bless
good
yes they literally shout and scream at the Deathlord to get out basically if they did kill everyone
and if not, they're like "...we appreciate your. ... restraint but, still. go away."
they thank you for the restraint knowing it's not easy for a deathknight to stay their hand
also so vol'jin is becoming a loa afterall it seems
do we know who's going after his ashes?
I think it's Zalazane
I thought so until the last line.
Since it talks about getting tortured by bwoamsandi
a loa?
Years ago, I trained Zalazane and Vol'jin to master their craft. I never would have guessed how their destinies would shake de world.
Is that Sen'jin maybe?
Maybe bwoamsandi himself trained them
He couldn't have. Because why would Bwoamsandi torture himself?...
`Search, minions. Find the ashes of Vol'jin and bring them to me.
Crush da Darkspear and find me those ashes.
Where are you hiding him, Darkspear? Where is my old friend?
Where? Where are you hiding Vol'jin? How are you hiding him?
Minions! Slay their champion and bring me da ashes of Vol'jin. NOW!
You cannot hide him from me forever. I will have my revenge on Vol'jin and all of da Darkspear!
I have learned much by watching Bwonsamdi as he tortured my soul. Let me show you some of his style of voodoo.
You think you can win? You can only delay ya destiny.
You think destroyin' my body gonna stop me from ripping you apart?
What? Vol'jin... you could not have grown so strong without becoming... a...
Years ago, I trained Zalazane and Vol'jin to master their craft. I never would have guessed how their destinies would shake de world.`
that is not Bwoansandi talking
I doubt all the quotes are from Zalazane
All the quotes except the last one belong to him
where does it say this one?
Since Zalazane is in the necropolis tied and surely being tortured
well sure. But where does it state that this dialogue is from him?
Nothing states its him but I don't know anyone else that fits that description but him
He wants revenge about what happened in the echo isles and he is being tortured by bwoamsandi in the necropolis
What confuses me is the last line. Since Zalazane and VOl'jin have different mentors into Voodoo
I think its Bwomsamdi
Maybe they learned the basics from different master's but Bwoamsandi helped them hone their voodoo skills
that doesn't make much sense. unless they're adding that in. No where has it ever stated of Bwoansamdi's existence until cataclysm
it makes sense, they just kinda throw stuff in anymore (Like the Velf legion)
that's not throwni n though...
that's an expansion upon something the elves have already done.
all the text of the velf's never ending?
If there is Lightforged Draenei, I wonder if some have fallen so far to the void that some become "Voidforged" or "Shadowforged"?
🤔
That'd be what the void elves are, Sleep.
there's no more to be had. Any draenei that exist went with Velen, Faheera or Archimonde.
I also wonder if we'll get playable Eredar since some of them did help us
they help us so they wouldn't get hunted and killed. Not because they want to join us.
that is true, though what about that dude in the Underbelly of dal.
I dont know much about him. I've never had a questline with him.
ah. I dont got a rogue so that'd be why.
You get info from him about something (I forgot what) but he just stays down there
probably the safest place for him
also. with some of the Eredar who didn't use Fel but used Void they seemed to have a Purpleish taint to them and not red like the other eredar
I dont remember seeing eredar using exclusively void magic
other than that 1 sister
in sunwell
the krokul in mac'aree
Within the Demon hunter starting area, in that shadow area some of the Eredar do. and they aren't red but purple
makes sense, but theyre still with the Legion.
and the Krokul aren't leaving argus anytime soon.
Yes, but they don't use anything with fel
Sleep, IIRC the info we get is regarding the Dreadblades artifact weapon.
From the Eredar dude in Dala sewers
Ohh yeeee
they're still with the Legion though. and they do have fel lines on them, theyre just purple and not red
mnakes ye think
also im in love with the golden eyes for the blood elves
I know but still they look so cool
its only about damn time for them to get it
they've been drinking light for so long and blizz promised us that in the future it might happen
I wonder what side the high elves would side with if we get them
Probably still blue eyes. since they dont feed on the Sunwell.
Alliance. Why would that change?
theyve always will be and always have been alliance
i just wanna see Kul druids forms besides the bear
I’m pretty sure 90% of Dark Irons will have red hair
its about half and half.
the moon kin form will be a wicker man lol
Lol
but that would be cool
a tree stump
This is something that must be tested first thing the zandalari are released onto the alpha/beta
I agree
What if the final bosses will be Anduin and the bitch queen?
(I really don't like slyv.. i don't even know how to spell her name)
whos Taliesen?
you literally just said what their new video is talking about
we dont know. probably invading Kalmindor
probably dead
we can only hope
Lol
p sure he’ll die at Teldrassil
I doubt it
I mean he has a whore of a wife so. i can see why he'll want to kms
I wonder which Horde character will die at Teldrassil
I think either shandris or malf die in teldrassil
I still 100% believe that Veressa dies there
I hope its malf tbh
considering the art for the Burning
^ true
Veressa beter not die xD
But we still don't know who that random elf is
better*
I 100% believe it's Veressa.
ALSO
Whats with the shadow icon in Org when you look through that scope for like a min
anyone find out why it's there?
Pretty sure Vereesa dies, and thats why Sylvanas gots crying makeup in the BFA cinematic
the alliance spying on the horde.
if Veressa dies it gives even more reason for us to have High Elves alliance allied race!
We can get revenge!
or try
Why is there a shadow rune in Org when you look through that scope or like a min
: the alliance spying on the horde.
But it's a shadow rune... it has nothing to do with ally?
that same symbol is Mac'aree?
goblin telescope
aimed at a random wall
Almost feels like Gallywix is getting signalled. woke
Pretty sure Gallywix is gunna die this expac
also we dont know if the dying elf in the burning of teldrassil art is a high elf or a night elf
so it could be Vereesa, Shandris or random elf #34
I am ALL for Gally dying, but we have no other famous island goblins
