It jut keeps getting nastier and nastier.
The Internet was a mistake
This is not good for my stock in ATVB rn 😂
it's kinda ironic how everyone loves war except people who've participated in an actual war
Warcraft101
😂 1920’s authors 101
Need a postwar Jazz Age expansion
As Azeroth's collective psyche tries to recover from the devastation of the war with the Legion
BfA is more like,
"Hey, why don't we just backstab the people who helped us save the planet, by killing the planet?"
Khadgar: are you idiots really going to destroy the world you just saved
accurate
PC: i would agree but WoW doesn't have RPG branching choices
(admittedly, that is for the best)
most PCs: "We'll deal with the aftermath after we kill the other side."
Sane PCs: "NO, Sylvannas/ Alleria/ Anduin! Don't do that!"
change anduin for greymane/jaina
^
Anduin is the king so no
Anduin knows there's no moral way to dismantle the Horde
Nah dadgar is going to consol with medihv and become either the most powerful mage ever, or evil af
He just can't keep Jaina and Genn on a short enough leash once Teldrassil gets nuked
Khadgar killed Medivh with our help
I for one welcome Khadgar as our new Guardian Overlord
^
Thats what i meant @rich apex just forgot the name 😂 There’s a theory that Anduin is the child of Jaina and Arthas... some game of thrones John snow shit right there...
Ha
Blizz is never going to do a political intrigue plot
They don't care about who's the rightful heir to Lordaeron
anduin cant do anything with genn tbh even in legion when he ordered to him to go on a scout mission he ignored him and did whatever he wanted
But the theory I heard is Anduin is the child of Arthas and Tiffin 😛
who was the last king?
Terenas
no
@rich apex just makes the art in chronicle 3 all the more interesting is all
boinked lmao
And then Arthas dumped her once he realized he'd actually have to marry her
😂
And act like an adult
Arthass is literally hamlet
Pay no mind to the dumb luck of actually having a marriage to a woman who he loved and who was also a valuable political connection
who was Anduin's canon father
Was Varian a eunuch or something then if Anduin isn't his
:|a
Varian was not kidnapped by some cultist and made a eunuch
Or whatever Varys's backstory is
HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT
(well, Varian -was- kidnapped, but that was after he had Anduin)
Varian was kidnapped by some orcs and made a gladiator slave...
you'd know he's not a eunich if you read his chapters with genn
the sexual tension over that bear hunt was intense
😂👌
BEAR hunt
heh
homoerotic subtext
I mean, Genn is supposed to be a rich British guy
werebear?
What's a story about rich British guys without some lowkey guy love
Genn is an awful guy
Not that kind of bear
i'm intrigued
Varian was kidnapped by Onyxia and divided him in 2
I mean...Genn is big, hairy
Anyone see t&e’s vid? Kul tiran human druids, get the cool wicker cat wicker moonkin and bear... then for bear it showed just a shirtless kultiran male ....
one of the parts got lost and some orcs made him a gladiator/slave
GENN IS A WORGEN AND A BEAR?
HE'S A WEREBEAR THEN
what joke
Varian and Genn went on a bear hunt
boat bear
A bear is slang for big, hairy gay dudes
beat
orly
I was -going- to say they're both single and allowed to love whoever they'd like
But
I was recently told
I did get the joke but I was holding my head in pain from the bad joke
like my headache you got worse
Genn can pull a zeus and fuck anything that moves even with his wife being around still
kek
Official confirmed Kul Tiran bear form...https://media.mmo-champion.com/images/news/2018/january/KulTiranMale002.jpg
and her daughter
stop, Gandem.
pls
he just lost his fav son and his kingdom
"she is the only human queen who has not been outlived by her husband"
"and has actually been seen in the game"
Mia Greymane’s a gilf
yet
yikes
more like milf
so, is she alive?
it was fine when Genn wasnt in the forefront
Since she literally has not appeared since
Genn was a minor character in Cata and Pandaria. He only began a big deal in Legion.
https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/821ebt/conspiracy_theory_of_the_day_thrall_is_a_woman/dv71tce/?context=3
i'm not sure why the last comment on this part of this post is downvoted to shit. i guess people can't handle the truth
they didn't bring her back in legion so why start now
Mia and Katherine Proudmoore can chat and shit
Katherine Proudmoore outlived her husband :p
do you mean literally shit or metaphorically
Okay, yeah, I guess they will have to update that Wowpedia post
(they probably forgot about it too =P)
Who was Jaina married to?
No one
She was going to be engaged to Arthas but he panicked at the thought of being an adult
Like the novel is lowkey hilarious about it
They're both at court
And Arthas realizes that his mother has started matching dresses with herself and Calia and Jaina
Because they're welcoming Jaina into the royal family
And Arthas is all
'waaaaait a minute'
And then
Jaina talks about children
I know in alternate timelines where he doesnt go evil, he eventually bucks up and marries her.
And he just bails the fuck out
Bah
I want a Kings of Lordaeron expansion
EvilMedvih has corrupted Arthas into a mad tyrant
Make the humans the assholes for once
Despite the lack of Scourge cultists
Doubt we’ll see an Alternate Azeroth expansion after Warlords lol
And because EvilMedivh is a romantic little shit, he makes Arthas buck up and marry Jaina.
And they make little lich kings
I just want a john snow character... and I want manduin to be that character
I wrote a nation based forum RP set in WoW, in a timeline where the Blackrocks in Alterax succeed in creating a secondary Dark Portal. King Terenas is replaced by Tichondrius. No Scourge, this timeline.
Was fun.
Anduin wishes he could please women like Jon Snow
don't spoil Game of Thrones for me pls
he’s likely gunna marry yrel, he has space goat fever.
boi
It's been like a year
Go catch up
And Jon Snow proved he knew something about women
Like four seasons ago
cmon anduin noticed how graceful the hands of a draenei shaman looked when she was casting wind once
ok fine
he’s going to marry a dwarf lass
i haven't even seen episode one of GoT.
stahp
...
he had the hots for his bodyguard in Ironforge
:|a
(Shes dead tho now)
political marriage to Moira
She's single
Ironforge is the other strongest nation
Moira already has an heir, so no worries about whether or not they can have kids
if they made booty more defined in this game, all the horny people would come to WoW
have you not seen any wow porn
mood
WoW literally has the most porn.
Can we get Dwarf children pleeeease
wasnt Aerin just a close friend and bodyguard?
it'd be better if WoW females got dat booty
If you read the book
they already have boobs so
He clearly is physically attracted to her.
which book
The Shattering, if I recal
that's very likely no longer canon mostly
dwarf grills are thicc so
He's 'attracted' in a strong breeze
Anduin is probably attracted to everything that moves.
we should call him Zeus
but ye, i’m 90% sure that when he does marry someone, it won’t be a human.
he gunna marry sylvanas /s
more like 10% sure and 80% conjecture
I just want wranduin to be canon
wrathduin?
No more humans to plague the world.
The undead would have to get better fodder.
also having 2 important lore character being the first MxM couple would be great
This IS the wow bfa spoilers channel so i cant say the real thing or it would be off topic soooo.... Orange king of stormwind and a certain Kalimdoor northern portion of a peninsula are talking peace treaties.... I repeat Tru- Anduin is wanting a treaty with Kim Sylvanis Windrunner! YIPPPEEEEE
i wanna see a Romeo and Juliet like thing. Where an Alliance and Horde couple get together
wait, i got something for that, Gandem
as far as I know we have no canon M x M couples in WoW right?
M x M?
male x male
define couple
2 individuals in a romantic relationship
define romantic
yeah but sadly tehd and marius can be hardly called canon
Well, Tehd and Marius fight like a married couple so hey
Illidan and maiev bickered in CoEN like an old married couple too
i ship it
that doesnt mean they are a canon couple
shhhhh
I want something where it says they are in love with each other like the enchanting quest line with the 2 female nelves in azsuna
Gandem, go sleep
I was 100% joking about Tehd and Marius
orly
I have seen a couple of people shiping them to tell the truth
of course people ship them
How about Saurfang x Garrosh
i didn't know Saurfang had a son
wat
you mean the brown skin?
no.
i mean the huge-ass muscles.
he's bigger than a fuckin' elephant
oh yes!
Steamy romance novel was legit
the stable boy is not even an npc and fucking once doesnt mean being a couple
there's ur M x M x W
the steamy romance guy is not a man who deserves just one partner
he is an adventurer who conquers many
don't u remember the alliance soldier who walked out of the Highmountain hut which contained a male and female tauren?
it was a female and a male
i think one was male
a married couple if im not mistaken
Bliz may not know how to write fantasy fic but they can write erotic fic
He won’t rest until he’s slept with every race.
that won't take long
what will be difficult is finding members of each race that isn't racist
maybe he had him before drinking the demon blood
Probably stuck on Outland like Garrosh
Do you know if the man sleeping with 2 highmountain tauren will appear in BfA?
That would be a real spoiler
Oh yeah, I forgot about that
He'll sleep with the kings and leaders, bringing world Peace to Azeroth
This is how WoW will end
This is the last raid
A picnic between the leaders of the Horde and Alliance
And we will have to do stuff for them, kinda like we do in the goblin starting zone
Maybe in the next xpac we will fight the old gods
It’s my birthday today, hope there are some good PTR news 😄 ok im sorry its weird to wish something like that
Well it’s a new week so there should be a new build today or tomorrow
Stormsong did get some more touchups last build so it should be ready soon
It was definitely one male and one female Tauren in the hut he walked out of, and a box with a necklace
He walked out from the little spoon side
Hehe ty
Yes, it was a female and a male tauren. The man was also naked if I remember correctly.
The Tauren were I think, he walked out in his armor saying something cheesy
Yeah
I will make a char and quest there again
Just to see
Will the upright orcs be available soon or in bfa?
No one knows
And are the casting animations new? Couldn't find anything related to that
They are in the alpha now from what I understand so no one knows
Warlocks have new animations. not finished. cuz its alpha.
Nothing on Upright Orcs but considering Saurfangs unarmored model is just a player orc model, you can judge their animations on him.
All I ask for is more adventures from Marcus in those steamy romance novels, best grey ever looted imo.
https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/83uy63/just_in_case_someone_missed_it_this_is_jaina/
Jaina finally got coot.
I still think Jaina has gone moderately batshit
Justifiably to be certain, but still batshit
She really hasn't. She's traumatized.
Watching everything you've worked towards your entire life and betrayed your own family for being vaporized does that to you
the Horde burning Stormwind isn’t gunna do much to make her forgive the Horde lol
The horde existing and denying their crimes to her isn't doing much either.
they arent denying anything
we bombed theramore
it was a military success
was it fucked up? yes
does that make it the wrong decision - thats a different discussion
meanwhile, jaina has spent the past year contemplating and thinking away from everyone
tbh it was the wrong decision. Theramore wasn’t even participating in the war, that was Northwatch.
and the alliance players return with her to kul tiras for the first time since she helped have her father killed
theramore was filled with generals
they were all gathered there
Jaina didn’t approve it tho
the bombing wiped out a huge chunk of the alliance's military leaders
again, it was a military victory for the horde
and jaina isnt king
what she says doesnt matter compared to varian's orders
(at that time)
Jaina had to call em there to help defend Theramore. While it was an alliance port, it didn't have the forces to defend. Strategy wise, Garrosh executed it perfectly. Even accounting his traitorous leaders to warning her.
Thrall basically betrayed Jaina.
She basically secured the survival of the Horde, and was repaid with war crimes.
Even us forsaken are shocked, shocked I say
It was the entire point
It was a genius strategy
Jaina hating it is reasonable
But from a horde perspective, it was a huge victory
Ye. Just annoying that Hordies whine about Jaina being hardcore anti Horde now.
Perfectly justified hate, her not helping against the legion however...
Y’all brought that on yourselves.
If her hate is reasonable, why is her not wanting to help the horde reasonable?
Although her decision to not help in Legion is questionable at best
🤔
She made a decision to help herself vs the whole of Azeroth
Her bias made her believe that the horde left on purpose
Not because they had to
She helped at brokenshore
Ever since Thrall abandoned his responsibilities in order to be a full time Shaman, he abandoned his basically best friend Jaina to get fucked over.
She was on the shore
Yep
I see. she wasn't in a cinematic so I wouldn't know
And she saw the horde abandon the alliance
When the horde couldn’t have stayed unless they all wanted to die
Jaina is the thrall of the alliance scenario
I got stuck doing it 8 times T.T
so her hate to the horde is justified because of previous crimes + broken shore (the alliance did not see what happened on that cliff), true, but not fighting the legion, not so much
even genn fought the legion, and he's the main one who got salty about the horde leaving
The broken shore point is only justified because of her bias
The horde did not purposefully abandon the alliance
well genn has that bias too, yet he stayed to fight
Alliance never see it though
Yeah
Come to think of it
But anduin tried to explain it as a possibility after
And she recklessly denies it
And then teleports away
yea the horde is on a cliff and the alliance couldn't see what happened
that's why I said it was justified to them
Then the council of 6 remove her
why are they still called the council of six if they are just five?
Did the Alliance ever find out Voljiin is dead? Or did Sylvanis just kinda take over from their view?
Making sure, been awhile since I did an alliance run
In canon there is time between broken shore and actual legion
And the stormheim intro is based on knowing Sylvanas is warchief
We can assume spies made it clear
And horde saw varian explode as we left
also there was an alliance person observing sylvanas talking near voljin's pyre (not as a spy but as a friend)
he knew to come somehow, I wonder how
¯_(ツ)_/¯
unless the alliance knew by then
There is probably time between the funeral and the end of the scenario
but that would be pretty quick, unless vol'jin was sitting on the throne for a longer time than is portrayed
They make it seem like time passes by in the cinematic
Oh I forgot about his human friend
well of course time passes by, they sail from the broken shore to kalimdor
Tyrathan would've likely easily heard about the death.
He literally ... was very close to Vol'jin.
They ended up becoming friends over the course of Shadows of the Horde and he also knows Chen.
but are you suggesting they have some sort of magical connection? close friends don't always know the state of the other in WoW
even brothers
No
It’s just when you are friends with someone, you pay attention to that sort of thing
^^^^^^^
theyre still the council of six because Dadghar moved in and took her spot
Tython was at his funeral
If y'all moved like. Three feet out, you find him there.
I know, but how did he know to come there is all I'm asking
I know friends pay attention to each other, but what sort of method would he use to know that vol'jin is dead in time for the funeral and sailing across the great sea?
as for how Tython got there, I assume the word of a warchief dying spreads pretty quickly.
and its not like the horde took any effort what so ever to hide the ceremony
so, maybe it passed through some horde people who participate in neutral activities? druids maybe?
Or alliance channels. Its not like the horde and alliance dont spy on each other all the time
especially since its not like genn didnt KNOW sylvannas ended up becoming warchief / was going to stormhiem
he was literally chasing after her due to it.
points to the Forsaken plans the Alliance finds in Azsuna
^^^
chronologically Azsuna does happen prior to Stormhiem.
I think Val'sharah and Highmountain on the other hand take place at roughly the same time.
its actually kinda funny how easy it is to get information
yet how little is actually shared
will probably be as bad as the last q&a
is Vris okay
Good question
she took too many drugs today
I took like 10 drugs.
was one of them LSD?
Dunno. They were all just labeled 'drug'. I think like 9 of em was weed. So i took like 9 weeds and 1 unknown.
Alas, Ion will dodge any questions they're not prepared to comment on, because that's how Q&As work for every game
Mexican speedball
I can dream he'll confirm if Kul'tirans are playable or not, at least
Much less if there will be a 9th and 10th Allied Race
Only 8 is stated i believe on the site
Thin humans, fat humans, buff humans,
white orcs, red orcs, void orcs,
Broken draenei,
etc
6 on the site
But Mag'har got datamined
Kul'tirans are 90% probable as the 8th
And I would be all for humans of all shapes and sizes
I just want a buff human lady
I respect the thicc Kul'tirans, but I wouldn't race change my human into one 😛
TAUNKA TAUREN
Thicc elf girls 🤤
If only
Those mini foxes tho
How about Helarjar for Horde and Stormforged Vrykul for Alliance
vulpera are really nice
If they do fix the 'too big' issues
Given ogres and vrykul
I am fairly sure they'll do vrykul in some form or another soon enough
It be cool if you could be a valkyr
Ugh if only
That is also possible
I aways wanted a special cape that let you fly like wings
Evil Bolvar is pretty likely
the race is stormforged, males are stormforged females are valkyr
I’d dump 10 mill gold just for wings like that
evil bolvar is VERY likely if you've done the DK order hall campaign
I mean. Sorta?
And they left illidan alive to bring him back
Its up to interpretation tbh
Bolvar knee he was the only one that could take arthas place
Tho I don’t think he was too happy
Bolvar wasnt going to let Tirion take the fall.
Rather an already dead man take it than the world lose ots hero
Ya know?
I think he could
He was getting old then
But we'd have lost the ashbringer again
legendaries seem to be usable up to level 119
then imo they become grey or lose the effect
or something
Not Shure
I do wonder how much of the DK campaign they will retcon, since we where raising new DK's nonstop the whole time
well there are no more legendaries after legion, meaning there are just 2-3 legion legendaries you are using in timewalking
aman'thul's vision + arcanocrystal is probably going to be the timewalker's dream
I dunno if the artifacts will actually be usable anymore. blizzard does not seem against players doing legion (levelling, at least) without artifacts (look at heirloom weapons)
so my guess is relic-giving quests will instead give weapons post-legion
it'll certainly be fun to combine azerite armor & legion legendaries in timewalking though
Why is that worthy of a retcon Zep?
new forsaken being risen isn't retconned out. Making slightly weaker than normal DKs shouldn't be much of an issue.
I hope in bfa they make timewalking queues follow the same scaling bands as old zones. I know heroics don't scale, but I mean the timing of the events
e.g. burning crusade week happens at the same time as wrath of the lich king, even if you only need 71 for TBC walking and 81 for wrath walking
with draenor coming, it would be nice for them to find a way to keep the time between TW events reasonable
well. yea. You need to be at that level to do those dungeons.
Like. I dont know why you think things scale down, which is a lot harder to balance, than just scale up
idk, just disappointed we didn't get panda DK with us raising all the dead heroes of every race
personal opinion though
It wouldn’t make sense
The dead heroes are heroes
There are no super well known pandaren heroes that are relevant to the DK story
And they still wouldn’t be playable
If you didn’t notice they weren’t every race
They were races that can already be DKs
Pandaren cant
We raised anyone who died lol, it was our troop thing, I honestly want them just to waltz around town for reactions like that
Just like my Tauren Paladin
Yeah but you raising people was to send them to die again
Wouldn't be the first Pandarian to die
I like making the fun (hated) combos
Tauren Pally, gnome anything, etc
I have 1 of each class that makes lore sense on my main server, everything else is fair game
to me, at this point DK pandas would make sense, though they won't do them since the starting zone would need to be redone
And we know Blizz hates changing starting zones, looking at you Silvermoon
certainly more sense then my Forsaken DK... how many times can he die....
Forsaken DKs aren't actually forsaken who have been re-risen
They died only once, but their bodies had rotten during the raising process.
kinda makes no sense in the starter zone, but after it would make sense
since the one guy you kill in the one building says you both broke free together
As 1st gen Forsaken
No undead DKs, at least the player, were normal forsaken that broke free like all the others, then died and were risen again as a DK. Stated pretty plainly in the little chapel text.
This is the Undead dialog:
Come to finish the job, have you?
Ironic, isn't it? To be killed...
<name>?
<name>, I'd recognize that decay anywhere... What... What have they done to you, <name>?
You don't remember me, do you? We were humans once - long, long ago - until Lordaeron fell to the Scourge. Your transformation to a Scourge zombie came shortly after my own. Not long after that, our minds were freed by the Dark Lady.
A pact was made, brother! We vowed vengeance against the Lich King! For what he had done to us! We battled the Scourge as Forsaken, pushing them back into the plaguelands and freeing Tirisfal! You and I were champions of the Forsaken!
Listen to me, <name>. You must fight against the Lich King's control. He is a monster that wants to see this world - our world - in ruin. Don't let him use you to accomplish his goals AGAIN. You were once a hero and you can be again. Fight, damn you! Fight his control!
Knight Commander Plaguefist yells: What's going on in there? What's taking so long, <name>?
There... There's no more time for me. I'm done for. Finish me off, <name>. Do it or they'll kill us both. <name>... Remember Tirisfal! This world is worth saving!
Do it, <name>! Put me out of my misery!
Literally any race discovered pre-bfa could be a death knight(not necessarily playable), but NPC-wise, certainly.
After the DK campaign ^^
or during, whatever
Pretty sure the Lich King is special enough to re-undead a dead undead
That is a weird sentence xD
Well Lich King can raise Worgens and Murlocs, both of which resist undeath
Boss of Kel’thuzad
The only being who dared to send creatures north of Northrend
After the weather went bad that is
Gilnean Worgen resist undeath cause of the curse
arugal worgen don't
the raised worgen are latter
(The real reason not every race can be a dk is because blizzard doesnt want to deal with the whiners shit about ruined immersion in a game where cows and british dogs turn into cats)
Idk how that'd break immersion, but yes
The forums would blow up
Despite it making sense
The idea is the same idea behind why no one else is realistically ever going to become DHs
The starting zone
They did for the pandaren.
The only other reason is that lorewise none of the newer races would have DKs that are supposed to be as powerful as the third gen dks.
See that would make sense, that would be a reason I could live with
Third gens (the PC DK) were risen by Arthas. While not confirmed hard, it is a soft canon that DK power levels are determined by source of ressurection. Hence why Kel'thuzads dks were no where near as powerdul as Arthas'.
Where as the only strong guys Bolvar has raised are the new Horseman, which we don’t know how strong they are
If Bolvar did the rezzing, but it was our own Ebon Liches doing that. So the fourth generation dks are significantly weaker.
As for the Horseman, we can assume theyre just as strong, if not slightly stronger, than us at the moment. The power gap jumps when we remove the artifacts from the equation
Makes sense
I lorecraft a lot when it comes to my precious deathknights.
So I've been hearing a lot about Kul'tiran druids and
Tbh I hope if we do get them then the regular human models can use it too
I wouldn't bet on it 😛
I dig the Kul'tiran models
But my old man is alas a thin boy
They will be like Zan Pallys, a tease
Oh that'd be smart on blizzards end
Hyper knows well how mad I get about Zand pallies turning out to just be a tease
I mean it's still alpha and likely they really will give us zand pallies
why is it likely at all tho
Considering how important religion is in Zand society, the whole gold and sun aesthetic, the multiple instances of Zand paladin NPC's.
Why wouldn't it be likely
because blizzard killed their light god
Fairly certain Malfurion isn't going to be resurrecting him anytime soon
That's how the two you noted were rezzed. by him.
~Zanda classes aren't confirmed yet~
~And we haven't seen like a third of the Zandalar storyline~
I still dont see the reason for such fervor on zand pallies. There's no where near this much push for KT druids.
Probably because Sunwalkers turned out to be a disappointment and
People want a Pally whose aesthetic isn't
"Knight in shining armor that is super good does no wrong super super super good"
Holy cow, the joke has literally written itself
They had the chance to fix it with Blood Knights and Sunwalkers and decided
"Nah you know what they all worship the Light now"
I still don't see how Zanda pallies are the iconic class
They did. Blood Knights are much more militant and Sunwalkers are just plate wearing druids.
Like
The problem is that's not reflected in-game much at all anymore
when you -do- get Zand pallies
guess what
gameplay stays the same. abilities stay the same.
Okay well let me put it this way
It's the same paladin aesthetics because that's the gameplay of it.
What if I wanna play a pally Horde-side that isn't an elf or a giant cow
They said a long time ago that every race's priests are very different but game mechanics force them to have the same spells
in any game
Aesthetic is the only thing that matters
Fashioncraft belongs in the mog chat
But that was long before the new Light/Void canon
It's true.
the same is with the paladins Hypre.
because seriously, you're going to look at that character for many years of your life
at least make it enjoyable
For the moment, anyways
^
People, even non-RPers, like the “RP” aspect of being a Zandalari paladin.
I sure won't be surprised when they say 'oh yeah tauren and elves have been subconsciously drawing from the Light'
I'm surprised they didn't confirm it for sure in the campaign
They push for it now while the game is in Alpha.
Elves first stole, then started drawing.
Well, paladins kind of do
There’s a chance they’ll change their mind.
Considering
Tauren were taught specifically not to do it because of the Night Elves.
Zandalari classes aren't confirmed
Otherwise, they’d have to wait for MAYBE next expansion.
All the while whining.
is added to gameplay
it'll still be 'Judgement'
'Crusader Strike'
'Divine Storm'
none of the zanda flare everyones pushing for exists
People like the “RP” aspect.
They like being a troll who can’t do stuff other trolls can’t.
Those people need to do what the RP community does then.
Get the look-a-likes
and RP it.
can do stuff*
Which are no different at all to normal paladins
ok, we can just go back to the Horde having shamans, and Alliance having Paladins.
Okay well why can't people want something Horde-side that isn't an elf or a cow if they wanna play pally
No Blood Elf paladins allowed.
Sure I'd be fine with that.
Who cares
I'm not saying 'NEVER GIVE ZANDALARI PALADINS'
I'm saying
'Why is this push so strong'
It's been 11 years since there was a pally difference
And it's a class that's really important to their culture
Also yeah you can't claim "wah it's faction class balance" when we know Dark Iron are getting shammys
Im not
because vris enjoys ruining others fun
Because it's their thing
it's what she feeds on
Its not? Dinomancers are their thing.
It's a huuuuge thing for them
Always have been.
They can do both
Zandalari are GOLD, DINOSAURS, ZEALOTS
It's -different- from normal trolls
I'll give you that
biut its far from a cornerstone of their society
They have 25000 years of doing this
It'd be like
Well
Like no diron shammies
Sure you could say "blah it doesn't work anymore"
DID shamans already dont make sense considering the DIDs tried to enslave elementals andbecame enslaved themselves.
Ok
and considering we were already told DIDs WEREN'T getting Shamans, its odd to me that they're now supposedly getting them
That is superb for you.
Yeah! I'm gonna make one
However, none of this answers my original question that sparked this.
My lack of understanding of why there is such a push for Zandalari Paladins
I'm telling you why ppl want them ;-; you're just saying "no its not"
You haven't told me one thing that says why people want them
People want them because they are important lore wise
They are
Where does it state this
I'll tell you
It's tough to do d but hear me out
Log in to a character who has flying in pandaria
Go to the vale
Start flying east, stop at the shadopam tents
Shadopam. Omg.
I'm keeping it
shadopam
Talk to the nice elf lady
"Vengeance is power, and the Zandalar vindicator is such power. The tribe has many enemies, and the vindicator exacts retribution on them. No crime against the Zandalari is unpunished, and the vindicator delivers this punishment.[9] The vindicator's symbol of power is the breastplate, which is forged with powerful mojo. It is trusted only to those revered within the tribe and is the Zandalar symbol of vengeance; to become a vindicator is to become vengeance"
"Zandalari prelates are Zandalari paladins. The prelates serve Rezan, and they are the highest order of holy warriors to serve any loa. Their path is the elite, taking only those gifted from birth with prowess in battle and gifted by the loa, and crafting champions of light to defend their empire. The prelates do not have any openings or handouts. After Rezan's death, the prelates are cut off from his power except for a handful of his followers.[2]"
"Heathens also have a place in the Zandalar tribe, and are known as freethinkers among the Zandalari. Freethinkers do not fear oppression and die for what they believe in.[1] Battle gear gives one power in the tribe. The freethinkers are honored in this way. They are zealots and imbue their breastplates with powerful mojo. If their beliefs falter in the face of the enemy, their breastplate will not.[2] Ancient Zandalari were branded as heretics when the Gurubashi Empire was strong. Heathens dared to challenge the priest of Hakkar, but were hunted and killed as vermin. Those heathens never wavered in their fight against the Blood God and so the tribe honors the price the freethinkers paid.[3]"
I mean I guarantee that even if we dont get zandalari paladins playable, we'll see warriors RPing as paladins
now i have to make a monk called like that
Zandalari straight up have three different roles of paladins but
You're not
the prelates only really have one or two looks, the sword and shield, and the poleaxes
There are prelates
The zandalari society we see, which is Zul's btw, is filled with Dinotamers and Dinomancers.
Blood Knights only really have one or two looks, the ranseur or the weird mace
Human Paladins only really have one or two looks, a big sword or a big hammer
......I love dinomancers
We do see Witch Doctors and Loa-speakers, but we dont encounter any prelatesuntil we enter Throne of Thunder.
Basically everyone in a cast follows a loa. Prelates/paladins are the ones that follow Rezan and the code that they have.
theyre a much smaller group than what people are trying to make them be
I run tot so much trying to get horridon
So?
How many holy preist undead are there.
I linked like three different pages of "Paladin" castes of the Zandalari but
Tell me or hush with such a silly reason
Yeah no they're a small group practically unheard of
Eh theyre sizeable. Kingsguard all seem to be prelates, they have their own area in the Terrace of the Chosen, unlike the other loa
Not many. But you can't use that argument as 'Priest' is a class and Holy is a spec
Yes
So Prelates are more important than Dinomancers
dinomancers are under two loa, who are lesser than Rezan and his prelates
U weirdo
no?
Exist and Importance are 2 seperate things m8
Okay so since there's no important gnome class NPC's
Thwy exist. This is my only point. Argue that or don't argue
I guess we should remove all gnome classes
In terms of society, zandalari are big on shrugging off the shadow hunter stuff and embracing their holier loa, which is why rezan is/was the loa of kings.
So you're dropping your point of 'Prelates are important to society'?
What no
They're a part of society, and an important part of lore by existing because its cool and unique
I dont see how that makes it an important part of lore.
They're not common, and do exist
Zuldazar actually does make a point of showing that where some people choose Pa'ku or Gonk, everyone follows Rezan in some way
So everyones a prelate then?
No, but Prelates are a big deal, at least up till Rezan dies
That's like asking if all belfs are pallies
Of course not
But they all need the light
Yeah there's actually
they're a status symbol
A NPC who straight up tells you all Zandalari are trained at least partially in priesthood
Like you said you're confused by why ppl want them, "why the push"
This is why people want them
You disagreeing doesn't actually change people's minds
same reason there are non-druid night elves
So if people aspire to be paladins in human society
not everyone's gifted
Why are there anyone else besides paladins
You wouldn't have to be gifted for faith tho
Like, tis the reason
Loa arent the light so faith isnt all that matters
You have to be favored by the Loa to have their power
you disagreeing so much to the point we're starting to suspect you're trolling isnt changing people's minds
We're not going to a suddenly say "Oh. It has changed. The push is because people like pally tier sets"
You don't have mind control powers
but following other loa is the same way we follow different religions irl. There can be a majority, and still be accepted alternates
You can think it's dumb, but that's the reason ppl want em
It just
... is
We're talking about real humans, none of us can change them
Which makes me question prelates in general. As how WoW's universe works; Being a paladin is about being faithful. Sure Loa don't only take faith, but not everyone who is something can make their offerings to Rezan?
Uh it's like pallies
Again Bara, Im not.
Everyone can offer to Rezan, but the training to become a paladin comes from the prelate order
I'm trying to understand the reasoning as to why its so feverously wanted
same with normal paladins, everyone can worship the light, and with enough faith use it
Well uh
but being a paladin requires training
Understanding I can't help with
That's all I've ever asked
It's sort of an opinion on video games
why you went on this tirade I'll never know.
Because you're still talkin about it
Because you never answered my question 🤷
Why people want this so feverously?
People, including all the people here, THINK it is an important lore class
You're just plugging your fingers in your ears and saying
They will not stop thinking this
"Nyeh nyeh nyeh I can't hear you"
alright thinking its an important thing is vastly different to it actually being important. :v
I am not
We're you caught on one word this whole time
BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE ASKING
Well I mean it's the only reason I've seen
We've given you so many reasons why it's pushed and you still
Are just outright refusing
To accept that as a valid answer
I've not seen a valid answer other than 'we want it'. Considering how long the Wow fanbase has wanted stuff.
I guess someone out there might want tier sets or maybe because they don't like tauren or belfs? But the majority want it for lore, I feel pretty safe in saying
Vris - Today at 12:01 PM
Why people want this so feverously?
This question
This question right here?
They want it because lore
what is the discussion about right now?
Prelates and why people are feverously pushing for it
We gave you our opinion
Why people want zan pallies
they are pushing for it because people want it
as after these guys are screaming at me, I dont understand it.
You're telling us that "No actually that's not your opinion"
its as simple as that
What the Fuck else do you want dude
i dont care one way or another
Like I sincerely think you're just trolling at this point
but that is why they are pushing
I'm not
people want them
and i haven't said that
they dont neccesarily have a need other than the internal want
I can understand that peach.
then thats it
"I want this"
"No you dont"
some people want them for lore
;_; peach I said that like 6 times
but they are being pretty clear with the fact that the existed past tense
b/c of rezan's death
Peach isnt the one screaming at me/calling me stupid tho.
anyone pushing for paladins after rezan's death without some kind of rezan resurrection endgame questline is being ignorant
zandalari arent going to change their beliefs
tauren becoming paladins has a lore reason
and it took a long time
Straight up tell you "Oh by the way some of us still have our powers but we will be viewed as suspicious"
its like being blinded or losing your legs
no they dont
they say that they have lost their connection to rezan
and that with it, they lost their powers
"We are broken.
The light of Rezan has left us. Only a handful of those that followed the great king of the loa will have any sort of power, and even they are suspect.
Our life was devotion itself. Now who do we become?"
any sort of power
There we go
any
Uh
Man dont
Looks into the camera
and as they said, it would be suspicious
A pally ain't talking about druid powers
Yeah man far be it from any class being suspicious
in all liklihood, if people push for zandalari paladins, they might do it
Calmly sweeps DK's, Warlocks, Orc Mages, and Demon Hunters under the bed
I mean, tbf, allied races were mostly just an "I want it" mentality too. They made the story make sense but in the end they just pushed things because people wanted them playable
along with hopefully some type of end game quest line
different kind of suspicion
Yea I getcha Peach
one is about the power itself (warlocks, DKs, Demon hunters)
^
☑
other loa give the light
it would get them killed or exiled
yea well
but these are prelates of rezan
tell the zandalari that
if you have been training with them all your life
I still expect rezan to come back somehow
and he dies and everyone but you loses their power
then either you werent following rezan
Yeah I'm 99.9% Rezan will be revived
between Torga resurrecting as a smaller self, and the questline to grow small dinos into massive ones
or there is something wrong
Because death isn't permanent for wild gods
i suspect there will be a rezan resurrection questline
well ofc. Wild Gods go to the dream when they 'die'.
