or they just could be the whisperings of one's own mind going crazy through the influence
but the whispers and thoughts seem to be able to come from any of it
no
its yshaarj's voice
They need to come from somewhere
AS again, these are magical beings.
magic and shit is common
the influence of the old god literally drove people insane
so how could being insane not create your own voices based on the influence of the powers of an old god?
The game has constantly stated 'The old gods WHISPERS have driven people into madness'
That's how they got deathwing
old god corruption isnt a by product
it is their goal
their whispers are their main tool
not by being near deathwing, but by constantly assaulting him with his Whispers.
^
G'huun, a false old god, does the exact same behavior.
^
i don't understand the difference in the arguments...my argument is that Y'shaarj was killed when Aman ripped him from Azeroth, the void power of Y'shaarj left behind is what caused the corruptions, not the old god itself
except the heart is yshaarj
thats why once we killed the heart and got rid of the corruption in garrosh, the sha are gone in canon
its why in the mantid place, there is a room that is foreshadowing the power of the heart
My arguement is that when Garrosh tossed the heart into the pool
it 'revitalized' him
^
brought him back from his slumbering little coma
the heart is a leftover piece of Y'shaarj and its corruption, not the consciousness itself though. The sha are also leftovers of the old god....
Hence why the heart was so powerful when we find it.
Eh...i don't believe that it was revitalized sorry
the dont work in a simple way
gonna bounce out as this is just going to continue in circles, sorry haha
That's how it is described Forgiven
if the heart had been grabbed by the mantid, they couldve revived the old god
That's the whole reason they did that to the heart
to restore its power that it once lost.
Will we be able to make the darkspear trolls to stand upright?
Not that we know of.
We know the Orcs will be getting this feature in Battle for Azeroth but its unclear whether or not they'll extend it.
Oh okie
Peach they also said no to the dino-sepcific forms of the zandalari
and that was changed behind closed doors. No reason to count out the possibility that they did the same on troll backs.
thats true
they added upright forsaken women so who knows
forsaken women have always been upright-ish
Someone pointed out to me that there are also new Forsaken aka Undead walking animations to suit their apparently new upright appearance! Here we have a your...
the darkspear are just hunched over blue zandalari
its a singular animation where they stand up
look at what I just linked
Watch the video
guess they changed that
Their hunch is signature to their identity
They're still hunched, but not as much
Jungle trolls
Don't like the rotting corpse race to look like a rotting corpse?
they said hunched Darkspear was kinda their thing, if I remember right,I think they also mentioned if they stood upright they would be taller then a Tauren
imagine the small doors
Those druid forms though
makes me angry
I have to betray every bone in my body that tells me to hate the horde. Cuz dinos.
they're too damn short right now
king rastakhan is the only zandalari model right now that is their lore height
@hollow dock Exactly.
Dino hunters, dino druids, dino armor, what can be next?
more dino mounts, clearly.
DEVILSAUR MOUNTS
if that happens I convert.
Especially when the bones somehow clip through gear? Like how?
I wonder what the feral form is
THE NEW BRONTO MOUNT IS A BABY ONE SO GIVE US A BABY DEVILSAUR TO RIDE ON
I'm guessing a sabretooth tigre with the troll tusks
Sarco. Im calling it now.
Oh yeah
It should be a croc. Or one of those mammal like saurians.
it'll probably be SOME type of archosaur tbh
which includes crocodiles, ancient/modern dinosaurs, and pterosaurs
pls let it be a sarco
(also yes we still have dinosaurs and they are small and tweet now ur welc.)
domesticated dinosaurs
yep
it'll probably be a crocodilian like our good ol' boy boar-croc / kaparosuchus or a gorgonopsid
... also honestly tho zandalari get like
the best forms thus far
hands down
Idk
you would like never use an aritfact form on them even
The were-bear is pretty good.
---okay true
which i still need to get fuck
my computer is so laggy in the challenge room though 😭
so i've been spiking my ilvl up for it not to like, matter and hopefully kill it fast af.
that's the backup plan
i do have high hopes for a good cat form though that'll still be an archosaur
at the very least
i would LOVE my lizardlion gorgonopsid boys but
if not, still a good alternative
since if the bear form is ankylo and the moonkin is yi qi
there's a good theme going
@hollow dock https://www.pinterest.com/pin/332773859945682075/
fuckin hate pintrest
read it anyway
it has relevance because what the doctor said in that is related to the Horde/ Alliance war and how pointless it is
I agree the war is absolutely pointless.
actually, it's related to every war
I've never said it was never a pointless war. Always advocated for the ending of it.
then, "SIT DOWN. AND TALK" to your Horde mates
Also, Bliz needs to take a break and watch Doctor Who together and get that lovely piece of quote seared into their heads
Taoshi yells: Lord Zhu! The Alliance - the Horde - all chaos is about to erupt out here!
Taran Zhu says: Like children.
Taran Zhu says: Taoshi! Hand me my weapon.
Taoshi says: My Lord... you are gravely wounded!
Taran Zhu yells: My weapon! Champion, with me. I want you to see this.
Taran Zhu hobbles back to the Bloodied Crossing, where the Alliance and Horde war parties are facing each other down.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore yells: Hand over the Archmage and I may yet allow you to walk out of here, Lor'themar.
Lor'themar Theron yells: Proudmoore! You will release my people from the Violet Hold, or I will cut you down myself!
Lady Jaina Proudmoore yells: Your people are legitimate prisoners of war. They orchestrated an attack on Darnassus from MY city-
Lor'themar Theron yells: The Sunreavers knew NOTHING of Garrosh's raid on Darnassus!
Aethas Sunreaver shifts uncomfortably.
Taran Zhu yells: ENOUGH!! There will be no more bloodshed today.
Taran Zhu yells: I see now why your Alliance and Horde cannot stop fighting.
Taran Zhu yells: Every reprisal is itself an act of aggression, and every act of aggression triggers immediate reprisal.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore yells: They have undermined EVERY attempt at peace!
Lor'themar Theron yells: I must protect my sovereign people.
Taran Zhu yells: SILENCE! YOU must break the cycle.
Taran Zhu yells: It ends TODAY. Here. The cycle ends when you, Regent Lord, and you, Lady Proudmoore, turn from one another. And walk. Away.
Lor'themar narrows his eyes.
Jaina takes a deep breath.
this reflects a similar theme to that Doctor Who episode.
Taran Zhu for world leader when
it has a similar message but it's a lot different.
Taran Zhu was just insulting them and the Doctor was describing them
Taran Zhu was describing, not insulting. He is the first outsider to really observe the alliance horde war without ever being dragged into it formally.
"walk away" =/= "Talk"
That's why I said 'similar theme'
Blizzard is, and always will be, more than aware that the horde alliance war is beyond stupid and nonsensical at this point.
aside from one instance, Taran Zhu did nothing to help the Alliance and Horde see the errors in their ways
if they're aware of it, why the fuck aren't they fixing it
at least make it make it not make no sense.
Taran Zhu yells: Every reprisal is itself an act of aggression, and every act of aggression triggers immediate reprisal.
This is everything...
Tong the Fixer says: Enough!!
Wrathion says: Uhh... wha?
Tong the Fixer says: Talk! Talk! Talk!
Tong the Fixer says: Always you speak. Never do you listen! You ignore the lessons of Pandaria!
Tong the Fixer says: You see, there is balance in all things. Wisdom etched in our very fur: Black and white. Darkness and light.
Tong the Fixer says: When the last emperor hid our land from the rest of the world, he also preserved the homeland of our ancient enemy, the mantid. Why did he do this?
Tong the Fixer says: He did so to keep the land whole. Living with the mantid for ten thousand years has made us both STRONG.
Tong the Fixer says: So it is with your Alliance and your Horde. They are not strong despite one another; they are strong BECAUSE of one another.
Tong the Fixer says: You mistake your greatest strength for weakness. Do you see this?
Wrathion says: ...you ...you're just a WAITER!
Wrathion says: I promise you this: I will stop at nothing to prepare this world for the battle to come.
Wrathion says: Next time, I will leave nothing to chance.
sure, Wrathion.
Him being a waiter makes him wrong.
Makes total sense.
Pandaria had such insight on the horde alliance conflict.
i'm sad i missed Mists of Pandaria tbh
he's a waiter
I probably shouldn't have taken a break and skipped all the pandaland endgame
mood
Yo man people judged pandaria to harshly.
i once read something about Pandaria being too silly so the writer didn't play it because of that.
that was cringey af
right?
https://www.pinterest.com/pin/469359592397971552/
here's another Doctor Who quote that's similar to the other one
the day i killed deathwing or whatever the quest was
if you don't like silly, here's the solution...
- turn off your router
- Turn off your computer and phone
- Throw your computer and phone out the window
- Stomp on them
- done
this post
everytime I hear 'Pandaland was to silly' I always refer to this one
Yes
o
My favorite is the varian one
kek
I honestly didnt mind pandaria
I liked Pandaria for the most part
the only thing I didn't like was the 2 year content drought
of only doing Garrosh solo tank
So many wipes
SO. MANY. WIPES.
overall still only my 4th or 5th expansion in my expansion list, but still not a bad xpac
daily areas were annoying tho
I thought the story and lore of pandaren is great though
especially the 4 temples
in terms of gameplay, its a solid number 3.
Pandaren are in the top of my list of fav races.
my only tolerable dungeons are the classic ones + brewery
Void elf is my all time fav.
it and Wrath are tied for me, with it having a more compelling story IMO.
velfs can die but that's different subject
Pandaren dance is to weebfor it.
I never particularly liked Blood Elves, but they are growing on me.
I am hoping void elves do the same
Granted, I was talking about Pandaren male dance
I just never liked void elves because of their old animations
Things people don't find too silly
*Moose turning into eagles (Highmountain Tauren druids)
*Quasimodo got a liposuction (Trolls)
*Alternate Universes and timey wimey stuff
*MAGIC
*SCIENCE
*SCIFI
*Have you seen murlocs?
Things people do find too silly:
*Pandas.
where females spun in a circle
cause I only play male chars other than my gnome
or had that really awkward as fuck lean forward ont heir ankles when using a two hander
or their horrid bow animations before Legion
godIm so glad they updated it in 7.3
I prefer female models. I mean, some are nice, but they are just way too bulky
The male ones are
Same. I hate the male depictions of the races except Pandaren and Gnome.
another thing people don't find silly: Pointless war and flat villains/ heroes
cuz, funny enough wolf, I feel like all the men feel the same.
male pandaren are the only real pandas
FEMALE PANDAS ARE VALID TOO
they are red pandas
You know...
that's not even a real panda
RED PANDAS ARE FAR MORE ADORABLE
red panda?
and okay yeah I agree that most males in wow are bulky things
To make the two pandaren factions different(huojin & alliance), they could have made one all red pandas and the other regular. To make them more noticeable
have you never seen a red panda arson?
while most females are thin dumbheads aka belfs
not irl but what does that have to do with this
Google, lol
this adorable little shit
They are so adorable
YOU DONT HAVE TO
YOU HAVE
THE
INTERNET
THE WORLDS KNOWLEDGE AT YOUR FINGERTIPS
theyre adorable balls of fluff
FLOOF
FL00F
I am want to make a zandalari troll, but they are going to boom to the most played list quickly
Now that's the only good panda there is
zandalari druid I mean
my pandaren is the best panda
what does red panda have to do with female panda tho
Wolf says theyre red pandas
female pandas look like red pandas
@tulip sun so? Lol
The female red pandas have tails.
and I say that thats better.
and I say they aren't real pandas
because red pandas are more adorable.
If pandaren females are supoosed to be red pandas...
Red pandas will forever be ruined for me
RED PANDAS ARE VALID
The pandaren with red fur are suppose to be based off red pandas.
pandaren with red fur what
what is this you speak of
and it even gives em a little tail
wottt
and it comes with a tail
have you never made yourself a panada?
Please no
no
Blizz even released stats about the pandas
They have been in the game for years
i've made it twice but both times were male
out of all the female pandas
http://puu.sh/zxL25/4939347b66.jpg best fl00f
the tailed pandas were the most popular
Fl00000fff
My main character in WoW is a red pandaren w/ tail
My main is still human
my main is worgen
my main is an edgy belf
cuz human racial is OP and I get to laugh at you plebs who complain about rep grinding
I technically play many, but she is kinda my first 110
I laugh at everyone complaining about being wheelchairs
i play undead, DK, and DH
Frosaken main here (with a side of Tauren)
ew forsaken
ew alliance
Forsaken are learning to stand straighter, say what you will lol
I play both horde and alliance, but the horde Theme I like better.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6dT4kyVUuY back to red pandas
MUST SEE - EXTREME ANIMAL ATTACKS ON HUMANS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sNVco1qLDvQ Funny red panda compilation! Watch these cute red pandas play and ha...
if you cared to play the forsaken storyline, you would find that some of the forsaken are good
I'm not gonna say ew horde because I play tauren and horde panda and soon zandalari and draenor orc
I won't play forsaken storyline ever
Zandalari will be my new main though
jokes on you, i play alliance too
This is a major WIP, but here is my pandaren
Tandalari Druid, they are legion
Her history has changed drastically too...just linked for the pictures
if I didn't lose my old computer I'd show y'all the massive amount of characters I have.
I have many
i have... 10, i think
Nah the battery shorted out everything. its a fried paperweight
back to old subject I feel males are more diverse in WoW anyway
I really dont other than the fact that their shoulders differ somewhat.
;-; gotta replace ur battery every once in a while.
it's a lot less expensive than getting a new one every time
Worgen and Trolls aren't nearly as overly buff as orcs/draenei/hooman/goblin (yes, goblin)
and gnomes exist
somehow
gnomes are descended from colossals, i think.
just like humans and dwarves and giant humans
gnomes are descended from mechangnomes
and then there's also the pretty thin and feminine belfs
Yeah mechagnomes became gnomes via curse of flesh
and the sexy troll females and horrendous males
and for females I feel it's like human = belf = nelf = draenei = tauren = chihuahua abomination
so, are they descended from colossals?
and orc = troll
Gnomes are from the Mechagnomes.
.orc = troll? wut
theres never been colossals on azeroth, that was a draenor thing
what are mechagnomes from then
the titans
I think female orcs and trolls are somewhat comparable
mimiron
like the earthen.
he created them
and pretty close to humans
so, the erthen are Azeroth's version of the Colossals, right?
Gnomes, humans, Dwarves are all races that are on azeroth only because of the Titans
and no
No
the Earthen are just rock dwarves
No, theres nothing like colossals on azeroth
ok
Earthen are titanforged
dwarves made of rock.
rockybois
exactly
All of the metal races were made by titans or titan keepers
Yup.
Curse of flesh took the stone and metal and made it flesh
Should I start leveling my allied races finally...
why is it called "Curse" of flesh
Humans descended from some of those cursed vrykul
Because it is a curse
It made them weak
And mortal
okay
Pretty much every alliance race is descended from titanforged that received the curse of flesh
This is not the case for trolls, night elves, Tauren, pandaren, orcs
Basically just dwarves, humans and gnomes
worgen are humans with a curse
if the Horde are barbarians, the Alliance are kleptocrats
50/50
but worgen is nelfish
but the worgen are stronger than humans :thonking:
which is why 50/50
No they aren’t
worgen are stronger than humans cause they are fl00f
fl00FF
Worgen are humans with a curse from the emerald dream
They are not related to night elves at all
but night elf worgen exist
Yes
so
The curse came from a night elf worgen, but night elf worgen arent cursed, theyre trapped in a form
gnomes cannot be worgen
I mean worgen only exist in the first place because night elves were dumb
Greedy more like it
greedy is sometimes synonymous with dumb
as much as I'd love playable worgi, they sadly singled out gnomes as a race that cant be cursed
Fucking not this agaib
Anything can be synonymous with dumb if you don’t give a shit about words
corgen
We are not going into the dumb vs X argument again
#givemeworgis
i thought i made that clear when i first started here
🙄
to be perfectly fair
w o r g i s
I'd actually roll gnome/worgen for that
Worgen gnome could happen if there were gnome druids
But there arent
But again
All playable worgen are humans
Yeah, unless you're RPin' you're not anythin' else.
Which the amount of sane night elven worgen would still be very low and probably would have to be constantly pumped with alchemical potions or around the Scythe of Elune.
Or have received the cure
Just like the gilneans did
Outside of being worgen, do gilneans have a history of Druidism? I don’t have much knowledge on gilnean history
they have a history of being human
you're welcome
apparently harvest witches
but that's just sth I read here earlier today and I have no knowledge other than that
Well that’s kul tiran history isn’t it?
kul tiran are gilnean
yeah and apparently harvest witches existed before kul tiras, so in gilneas
Oh ok
considering lots of worgen druid teachers are harvest witches it makes sense
So Druidism does have a history there
also having thanksgiving be Gilnean
Is kull tiras a wandering island too?
It was pulled out to sea by the cataclysm
And since then, no one has really had a reason to go there
From what it looks like they haven’t allowed anyone there anyway
Which is also true of Zandalar
Except jaina when she's throwing a tantrum?
eh zandalar is sinking you REALLY didn't want to go there anyway
Zandalar *was sinking
Between zandalar and a certain temple...you gotta question troll surveyors
Jaina didn’t go back to kul tiras during legion
It was believed that was the case
Except that the intro quest is her going back there for the first time since her fathers death
Yeah it’s been confirmed at this point that zandalar sank a bit but it’s not sinking any more
Zul wasn’t quite right about the cataclysm
if it sank a bit, where is it on the map at this point
Oh no
The sinking didn’t change its location
It’s in the same place it’s always been
Above pandaria
Slightly to the right
But near ish the big swirling storm in the middle of azeroth
wat
Look at an old map from when wow launched
Zandalar was there but unlabeled
Small island
Big island right below the maelstrom
I believe the biggest damage the cataclysm did to zandalar was to some of the shoreline, and to Nazmir which I don’t think was always a swamp
o
Whole island sank
Nazmir was just the part at sea level
That’s why there’s some areas around Zul Dazar that are sunken troll ruins
"Nazmir was once a lush forest, but during the Cataclysm Nazmir started to sink into the sea. Now, it is a fetid swamp full of ruined buildings and infested with blood trolls. "
Yes peach the Gilneans do have history of druidism. Think of it like in Witcher where 'druids, witches and herbalists' were kinda labled the same and how druids are portrayed in Celtic lore.
Which fits the theme as the Harvest Witch practice was nearly extinct by the time of Cataclysm thanks to the Holy Light (the stand in for Christianity and junk)
which is what I like about Kul Tiras, still has druids there, since it doesnt seem like their religion is as restricting
to what extent we dont know, but I do think that sailors would have more faith in nature than Light.
judging by their amount of fat they also believe in beer
The pandaren will feel at home
rivaling pandaren
depending on amount of beer there I might main my panda monk 🤔
a lot of witch iconography is from female brewers
AXSCHUALLY
no i mean
literally
black cauldron
broom being used as a sign to mark that they're open for buisness
herbal knowledge to make the beer
also that herbal knowledge also ended up helping medicinal knowledge too so there's the other part of witches
etc.
:T
~history~
yes that is the Witch bit but, I dont think when we call the Harvest Witches, Harvest Witches, we're referencing some old hag over a black cauldron using her broom to stir it. We're more so referencing people within nature, having great knowledge of it and cultivating it far better than any normal person.
A druid in the purest sense of the word
I ... know fam.
In context of Kul Tiras though there's probably going to be a lot of overlap, people hissing and using these themes as propoganda, just like they did IRL.
But in reality harvest witches are harmless, and it's the hags / drust causing issues
that might be.
If they don't take the oppertunity for story tension I'd be surprised.
Kul Tiras doesnt have just harvest witches, they have full on druids, learned from a wildhammer apparently
But we dont really know the situation. I venture it'll be more on the side of 'Druidism has eventually flourished from the Harvest Witches due to the requirement of it over say, holy healing.'
and where'd ya find that information Port?
Just saw people talkingabout it in a different discord
Probably RPG.
Oh, huh. Ask 'em for the links?
If so I assume that basically means Kul Tiran druids confirmed.
They were listed and it makes perfect sense as they're descended from Gilneans.
Do we really need that hard confirmed?
yes
yes
... I mean if we don't pay attention to a hard confirmation then we'd have to assume there's vulpera death knights and paladins.
._.
where's your proof to support those claims?
Asks for proof
And that's why datamined label files aren't hard confirmation
there's proof behind the claims of Kul'tiran druids. very hard and convincing proof.
is in spoilers channel
(tho apparently a KT quest has a KT druid NPC, so)
Yup exactly as I suspected.
harvest witches were there and its just been rotated out.
that human looks like an on orc beach-boy
Nice!
Also the information on the vulpera death knights and paladins was from a "class combination" post.
Which is not final, and more likely will be just used for animations when it comes to the ThinHumans and Vulpera.
"Now yesterday Blizzard clarified that some races, while not accessible by players, are flagged as both a playable and NPC race to aid Blizzard in NPC character creation. We've found that some of these character races have classes associated with them as well:"
which is why like, people were raging about no zandalari paladins
when it would've been possible until people pissed off blizzard and made it so they forcefully made 'em NOT playable
That top line kinda explains it
them not being playable was decided long before we complained
because the prelates were added in a later build after the "outrage" and connected to the rezan story
rezan was dead and undead at the blizzcon show floor
Though there wasn't a prelate presence until later. So they addressed it but still kept them non-playable. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
TBh it most likely means theres going to be undead specific version of those races (As in the Forbes interview, Deathknight is confirmed to not be in the allied races)
BFA is in development, so folks pointing out issues in story is still apart of the process. Azsuna's story changed like five times before live.
^ Which is why I doubt these classes are final.
"Azsuna's story changed like five times before live."
@steel venture oh do you have a source?
i'm irked that undead can't be paladins despite being priests
Rip DK
You can't even test Zandalari or Dark Iron yet.
There's like, what, two or four zones and a few dungeons playable, and that's it
@distant folio Was apart of the old Legion datamining. I'll have to do some digging.
But there's proof of it given that Runas has "evil" lines.
The same ones that the nightborne prince uses.
Who's pan?
there were a lot of cinematics from azsuna that got cut too
Yeah, you were supposed to see Azshara busting the tidestone in an actual cinematic.
detailing what actually happened with farondis, azshara, and the tidestone
Not a book.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itIzbb-rgHI
Here's the old, scrapped "evil" Runas lines.
A few of the unused sound files I found Prepare to Cry Runas the Shamed : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oK-cmDQenfk
They changed it for Faronids to have broken it no?
No, Azshara still broke it. It just was no longer shown in a cutscene.
She broke it and cursed the entirety of Azsuna as punishment. Because Farondis wanted to use the Tidestone to betray her.
Oh ok it was a remote breaking
Also yeah, if you listen to these lines.
Runas was evil, and he was supposed to try to steal parts of the Tidestone / attack the Blue Dragonflight.
But then it was scrapped.
for the better imo
I'm fairly certain its confirmed that once you hit Withered, like with Wretched, you don't revert.
Nightfallen Hunter pet? 😛
@steel venture I dont really see where runas was evil?
..........????????????
Did you not listen to the audio?
Those are the same exact lines used by the nightborne prince.
An ANTAGONIST of the zone?
They originally planned Runas to be the antagonist.
Once you hit Withered, you're free to be used as a mindless slave for Thralyssa
I can only find one line they have in common and its the "we'll feast on dragons instead"
......................
so nothing else about going after the "crystal" (tidestone) and the like or "let the lizards and the lowborne have it" scream "Evil" to you.
._.
Bruh.
It was an idea they scrapped
Azsuna was going to go a different route.
It's literally not hard to explain.
poor runas 😭
I don't understand how this is a difficult concept, zone storyline changes ALL THE TIME.
Hell, entire zones are scrapped?
???
It's early development still.
Not every zone is ready, not every story is ready.
I mean runas also says some pretty ugly stuff to you when you're fighting until you put some sense into him, but i would really like to know more about ael'yith supposed to have replaced runas
So expect things to continue to change throughout BFA.
I know, im just interested in what you said about azsuna having had its story changed 5 times
Its still interesting that Runas has some lines lingering from the original nightborne story in game
"The nightborne are not what they seem" and all
Mhm---Also, it was a figure of speech. To the dataminer / alpha testing knowledge of Legion, it changed once before the final version that was showcased outside of friends/family/employees of Blizzard.
But seriously, it's not difficult to understand that entire zones can get reworked or large amounts of content can be cut.
That happened to over half of Warlords of Draenor for crying out loud.
I never debated that, I was just interested in the azsuna thing you said
Wrathion in Highmountain
tfw wrathion adopting 3 kids got scrapped
wait wat
give me dragon dad wrathion
wat
he saved three eggs in the original story
he was going to find uncorrupted eggs in neltharion's lair
worgen in shadowmoon vallley were replaced by dumb fiona too
ooh
and become the adoptive father to them
I dont think he was going to become their father
Eh I was fine with fiona making a cameo, especially since theyve said theyre saving that story for the future
(and like, everyone was making jokes about it because he's like 4 years old. and he doesnt understand not every whelp is as smart as he is.)
but then it kind of made less and less sense so they cut it out and made ebyssian instead
... which is ebyssian's disguise is like so obvious
"Ebonhorn"
black-furred tauren
stupid gaudy thing on his head?
you can tell it was originally going to be wrathion.
well the outfit is just what all the spiritwalkers wear
based on the WC3 spiritwalker
but yeah the black fur made it obvious
the helm, not so much though, lmao.
wrathion's tendancy for bad headwear was going to show through
even before I knew it was wrathion on the alpha, it was obvious it was a disguise
mhmmmm
https://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/1874264-A-collection-of-all-known-cut-delayed-content-in-Warlords-of-Draenor
anyway if you wanna know how bad the content scrapping can get
just
here ya go
Everyone here should know the tragedy that is WoD
WoD was supposed to be an actual proper expansion
not ... basically just a patch.
...how would feral worgen be in Draenor
We just asked for proof of Azsuna getting changed 5 times
ironic. he could save others from content drought, but not himself.
I believe it was supposed to be the Saberon Hyper
YES
PREQUEL MEMES
EVERY LINE IN THOSE MOVIES IS A MEME OF ITSELF
god im still pissed about the shattrath raid
the original WoD plan was so much better
@rich apex Worgen in Shadowmoon was due to the fact that Genn and other gilneans came down with some sickness that was making them feral if they were cursed.
And old remedies that Arugal used apparently came from Draenor plantlife he somehow managed to get from expeditions? It was ... weird---Which was a problem since, y'know ... Draenor exploded in our timeline.
Okay, that's fair
Yeah, so Lorna and Tess were supposed to be in Shadowmoon to the south near the botani spot to try and find these plants.
Which ... somebody apparently never told the Legion quest designers it got cut, hence why Lorna and Tess are flying together and chatting like best friends whilst they escort you to the Stormwind Keep.
It was going to delve into having them interact with eachother properly since the Gilnean starting zone didn't.
how does that cut quest say they aren't friends?
Ah
TBH enough times past that I think they can drop the hate theyd have for their fathers actions
No yeah. It was going to probably touch on that, but now basically its just assumed that happened behind the scenes now.
since yknow
cut
¯_(ツ)_/¯
it was genn and crowley both gowing feral(?)
but they did say they wanted to use the story for later
Maraad: Maraad, you're frightening me.
so maybe we'll see them get the spotlight for something during kul tiras. who knows.
alpha: truly the pinnacle of correct content
the maraad stuff tho was actually... good. i'm sad it was cut
everyone was whining that yrel shouldn't be paired with him but
guys it wasnt AU yrel.
it was the MU one. that apparently died. so thats why he's overprotective of her despite not KNOWING AU yrel.
Wasn't the point that Yrel in our timeline was maraads lover and supposedly the draenei he told would be safe without him?
but that also got totally cut when it was a good example to not project onto those within the timeline he was trying to save
Im still just so damn sad they cut out all the maraad story just to kill him three zones in
he was the best draenei IMO, especially with all his talk of vengeance in the datamined files
he didn't view it as "i'm helping these other people not experience this" in the original storyline for WoD
he saw it as
he viewed it as "no, wait. I can stop this from happening." without realizing he wouldn't actually be changing time.
'Im rewriting history I wrought'
he was obsessing over it.
Man. I really wish it was kept now
YEA IT BASICALLY WAS GOING TO ADDRESS THE
"how do we stop the people who are going there that EXPERIENCED this from not yknow"
"triggered by extreme PTSD and other issues"
like
thats what everyone was asking story-wise like
"wait how are half of the draenei here not freaking out"
"How is Maraad, after being shown a heavily traumatic experience of seeing the mangled and twisted bodies of men, women and even a child, not absolutely having a freak out?"
^^^^^^
and how is maraad
not literally mentally breaking down at seeing the any of the uncorrupted, unbroken, LIVING versions of a lot of these people he knew?
like the exarchs
like he passivly mentions how great it is to see Akama
So
he's aware
but just not suffering any draw backs
when its more like "Haha~! Hey Akama!"
not like
silently staring, which you would think would happen with his mental trauma
Eh, they're doing better. Slowly.
Farondis was a good first try at it
And Suramar still is probably my top favorite zone storyline ever now.
Legion did have good moments, admittedly
Even if I still don't get why everyone's pissy at Farodis when they know full well what the alternatives were
Fun fact on why Suramar was really good and detailed in it's story. It was written mostly by a roleplayer.
Between demons and naga
Questifer is a sweetheart and she deserves all of the love. ❤
Also, they're still were upset because they don't actually know the full origins of the naga until Legion occured.
That's why Farondis was so shocked that these snake-creatures were lead by his former Queen.
they came from the sea isn't it enough?
Ah alright I was confused there on you mentioning Questifer and then Farondis right after
the rest will be in some exp for sure
Lmao oops.
yeah it was still apart of the convo
sorry 'bout that vris ❤
i jump around a lil
World of Warcraft and The stone of the Naga for example
We know the origins of the Naga Argonia
... I was also not stating player knowledge Argonia.
Xan meant that Farondis and his city of Elves didn't know until Legion of what happened with Azshara and the Naga.
I was stating NPC knowledge.
Everyone knows pretty well how the naga came to be.
But a bunch of ghosts that were cursed by Azshara ages ago only learned of what became of her recently.
yeah, we as players are beacons of light and knowledge
for all that cursed dead npcs
Er... not even?
Farondis finds out by himself.
Because an Image of Azshara actually shows up during the questline ...
---But we're UNCONCIOUS AND IMPRISONED IN THE CAVE BEHIND HER
Yeah he also didn't love azshara either
it was all for that stone
he literally planned to betray her during WotA
when we went to get it
Because he wanted to use the stone AGAINST Azshara yes
azshara showed her real face
????????? ... you're making like no sense rn.
He didn't just take it
he already had it in his city
he was a prince
Azshara entrusted it to him
It was his artifact to look after.
but he saw what she was turning into and wanted to use it against her
Azshara caught him and bam
Ghost town
He was ratted out to Azshara by his own court, even.
Since they couldn't believe he was going AGAINST her.
Fun fact though the one who ratted him out? ...
Vandros.
Yes.
That Vandros.
The one who also stabbed Thalyssra in the back.
He likes to keep his place of power amongst corrupt dictators apaprently.
YEP
he used to be in farondis's court
so he probably knew what azshara would do and he skedaddled over to elisande
but he is a nightborne
farondis looked more like elfs
right?
their isolation was before ghost town ?
Elisande, Thalyssra, Vandros, Occuleth and Valtrois are all over 10k.
And, no. Timeline wise Azsuna was cursed early WotA.
And then the shield went up nearing the end of WotA.
Azsuna was stated to be left in ruin BEFORE the Sundering occured.
Because Azshara decimated it as punishment for Farondis's betrayal.
Vandros got out of there unscathed because he's the one who WARNED her about Farondis.
Just like Vandros later tipped Elisande off on Thalyssra.
With the whole ... "Hey so we're going to kill Elisande because after 10k years she's letting the Legion in?"
Vandros was like "OHO---time to be a rat again."
skeevy little fuckwad
glad he's dead
you never know who is really dead in wow
he might return as dreadlord
if he is a demon to begin with, that might explain all of the betrayals
Considering we kill him
a politician.
its very easy for people to not bat an eye to cruel deeds to keep their own hides safe
he's perfectly dead. and not a demon.
it literally was how most highborne, and how many nightborne were
They got in each other courts to kill the competition and move on to better ones
the whole reason why his people hate him is because he planned to betray azshara before everyone found out what she was doing
^
Yup and it got them all killed.
They didn't know nad didn't want to know why he got them killed
It wasn't until they saw his open defiance of Azshara that they understood and rallied to their Prince
^
Ofc, he actually knew
?
If this is alliance orcs, it’s already been debunked
I will not get into it here, but ya
It is kinda bad.
I commented my first youtube comment because of it xD
This is the reason I don’t watch any wow you tubers but nixxiom and nobbel, and I guess wowcrendor but That’s noncontent
Well, isn't Tradechat somehow involved with Wowhead?
That is why I initially started watching her
50/50 chance the opinion is bullshit because having the opposite opinion as everyone else is how you get views
Panser apparently doesn't realize that Zandalari use dinomancy.
Guardian - Ankylosaurus.
Moonkin - Yi Qi (A raptor with bat-like wings.)
Travel - Raptor
Flight - Pterrowing
i really hate that trend among steamers
only among lazy streamers
It's just like "BLEH I DONT LIKE IT"
That's it. That's the entire video.
Nobbel knows lore
with such videos named : my thoughts on ...
And at least slootbag tries
its something different i like it too
But humanoid
She seems to not understand that the form is not literally called bear/cat/moonkin form.
I mean spec
They are feral, guardian, restoration and balance
She did 0 research
She saw the images and went straight to outrage
very rad as fuck that blizzard's using it
Post that picture under the video so she knows
I dont get the complaint about its butt
a) it doesnt have one
b) thats how dino tails work???
I don’t think it’s specifically based on that
I think it’s just based on their idea of half bird Dinos
Even though by the time dinosaurs had feathers it was all feathers
Not some
If it's not, I'll be surprised. They didn't have to put bat wings on it.
Is this a suitable place to be posting speculations, fellas?
Tail wouldn’t worj
Well a lot of the dinos on zandalar, raptors especially, are feathered, look like more recent depictions of dinos
I just came up with one that blew my mind.
But the fact that it does, instantly made me think Yi Qi
And the model looks cool
this one isnt an exception
No they dont
Porter
Raptors were covered in fetahers
They didn’t have feather accents
They were fully covered
The falcosaurs are the most accurate to IRL raptors at the moment.
more recent, not most recent
Blizzard's at least regocnizing that there's SOME fathers on raptors now.
The idea that dinosaurs had scales is from Jurassic park
At the very least, that's unlike a LOT of games still.
When they were making that movie they knew about feathers
There was more reasoning to lack of feathers in the original book that wasn't explained until Jurassic World tbh.
The raptors we know
from WoD
and from Barrens
have them as accents
Falcosaurs are literally bird-raptors
The original book was fully aware they had feathers, but the fact that they filled in the genetic code with non-avian species made the dinosaurs within Jurassic Park less saurian, more reptilian. And it was addressed by the orignal author and everything. @dense plover
Yup and in Jurassic World, an equally valid point was explained. They never shot for realistic.
Mhm.
Realistically, a Velociraptor was never as large or terrifying as Jurassic Park showed
It was like slightly bigger than a small dog.
Theyre were just 2-3 foot turkeys.
smol.
could probably have as a pet if it wouldn't rip your face off / wasn't extinct
At the very least Blizzard does address that it's more likely dinosaurs in WoW are related to freaking dragons to explain their appearance.
also the Spino is confirmed to be a genetic mutant like the Indo Rex and Raptor.
I was so happy at that one
WHERES MY FOUR LEGGED ACTING SPINO BLIZZ
Convergent evolution is still such a freaking awesome thing when looking at prehistoric animals.
Since now we know Spino basically filled in the "giant riverbed predator" nice that was no longer dominated by large crocodilians in the region.
niche*
Yup
today i feel lucky
i sold a rapid mind pot for large bag of gold
even though there were way cheaper options
That's not to silly for WoW
hey guys matched wit ha girl on tinder, what now
You go and hope its not a dude
asking a WoW channel for dating advice
What do you mean thats not to silly for wow? o.o
Its a contiuation of the meme that clearly only the Pandaren are too silly for WoW.
Like 7/10 to much water.
@tulip sun
You play WoW.
How is anything too silly for WoW
J O H N J K E E S H A N
who?
The silliest thing in pre-MoP WoW
no such thing as silliest in WoW
there's a lot more silly things than keeshan. Take the ungoro quests for example.
Cow people that transform into cats
Alexstrasza's outfit
Illidans Outfit
Malfurion
dogs that transform into cats
holy cows
MURLOCS!
LEEROY JENKINS!
ALTERNATE UNIVERSES!
BRITISH WOLF DROODS!
NAGA!
DEMON ORCS!
VOID ELVES!
LIGHTFORGED DRAENEI!
ARGUS!
DEATH KNIGHTS!
wows always been a silly place, but it seems like it wasn't until around cata that they really started playing it up
at least imo
mate, it started getting less silly around then
In Cata they took the, what I like to call, Whedon turn.
Its not that it became more silly, they just injected more humor into it while still taking itself seriously.
Like all of Whedons works, theyre all pretty serious and can be incredibly great stuff, but are also silly and humorous at times.
Two lost civilizations that were supposedly sunk or whatever, returning
Well 1. A night elven city.
The naga raised the land from the depths, something theyve done in WC3.
wat
Yup. Vash'jir appears off the coast because the Naga had risen the land upwards. Vash'jir itself is just a highborne city that sunk to the bottom of the ocean.
when did they raise land in WC3? I don't remember that
I could be wrong but I believe Maiev had said that the Naga rose the Broken Shore, or what was left of Suramar, that thy were ttraveling through to see the Tomb of Sargeras.
I'm not seeing that it was ever sunk again after gul'dan visited it
Intro
IconSmall NightElf Female.gif Naisha: Mistress, we followed Illidan's course due east as you asked, but these strange islands do not appear on any of our maps.
IconSmall Warden.gif Maiev Shadowsong: I suspected as much. These islands must have been formed only recently.
IconSmall NightElf Female.gif Naisha: What makes you say that?
IconSmall Warden.gif Maiev Shadowsong: The ruins all around us, Naisha... I recognize them. This was once the great city of Suramar, built before our civilization was blasted beneath the sea ten thousand years ago.
IconSmall NightElf Female.gif Naisha: But how could...Are you suggesting that these islands were somehow raised from the seafloor.
IconSmall Warden.gif Maiev Shadowsong: Perhaps, though there are few powers left in the world capable of raising islands from the deeps. Regardless, it's a mystery we'll have to solve later. We'd best head inland and set up a base camp. Once we're situated, we'll pick up Illidan's trail. Here, sisters. Let's establish a base so we can continue our hunt for Illidan.
ok it doesn't -specifically- say the naga
but I always attributed that line to the Naga
I thought Gul'dan raised everything
Back when the islands didn't extend much beyond the Tomb
I think just the tomb, the rest of the islands were retconned to exist before he was there I guess
ur telling me the Broken Isles existed before Legion?
wat
yea
Kiiiiinda
confuzzled
Most of the stuff we see in WoW is just expanded from Wc3.
thanks for messing with the lore once again, Bliz
In which the Warcraft games never visit every local ever
pandaria is expanded from a single wc3 hero unit
just off handedly mention them
Yup
As is the Wandering Isle
All because of Chen Stormstout
although, for being based off of practically nothing, they did a pretty decent job
Blizz does occasionally write new lore
eh it was an ok job :p
Its not really them messing with lore Arson, its just them expanding on it. In all fairness, Warcraft has only ever shown a very narrow scope of the world.
PANDARIA WAS THE BEST EXPAC
