I'm not sure I understand why people / the team seem to think Blizzard are going to release items in line with the phases / patches as they were originally. Their only blue post on this (https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/classic-content-plan/120346) suggests to me that it's either pre- or post- 1.10. Is there some info that I'm missing?
Prior to the AhnβQiraj unlock, most of the drop rates and locations will look as they did in the patches prior to 1.10
That could be read in either fashion (you could take 'patches prior to 1.10' as a single entity) and given that they won't change itemisation, it makes me wonder. Is the above all we have to suggest that they're release items phase by phase?

The ''advanced'' guides state that spirit should be ignored (they refer spreadsheets as their resources) and that agi is way better. As a Human I will always give prio to swords ,but if your race doesn't have a particular buff concerning weapon types a staff which gives high alpha damage and/or STR should be worth upgrading to. There were addons for everything in Classic. The API back then wasn't as restrictive as it is now. From quest helpers to raid timers. The biggest different between now and then, is the understanding in programming that allows for more elaborate types of addons in one specific addon (like ELVUI that can do everything from move frames to count your gold earned this session).

Hey you don't have to worry about a lot of the saved names. I created a character on a realm and I probably won't play it till December or later.
I am sure that there are other people out there that will wait a couple of weeks before they log in also. They reserved names and want to wait till the starting zones calm down. Others want to go into it hard.

The only things that will be transferring from BFA to classic are the original world of Warcraft collectors edition pets (Mini diablo, Mini zergling and the panda cub)

Healbot is the same raid frames API as default. It's just making frames more friendly and informative for healers. In fact you cant customize well raid frames in classic, most people using healbot/grid/etc for better UI, but for now WoW classic using legion API and raid frames is good enough by default.

The retail version lets the caster know who has the ailment. You still have to click on something. That's what blizzard is trying to avoid, the auto stuff.
