the sharding sounds like it will work to keep things chill for the first few weeks
If you look at wowproggress on live, the top 15 US servers have as high a population combined as the entire rest of the server base combined
my guess is you wont have more than 10-12 servers US
because otherwise you're going to HAVE to merge servers later

My first character was a hunter. I think i'll do that again. I remember leveling my starting zone Dragonhawk all the way to lvl 70.

I started playing wow in bc and my first level 70 was a warrior. Then comes wrath I leveled paladin half way through then comes cata I had a way better understanding of the game and rolled all the classes and hunter and shaman really interested me. But I know ultimately it's my decision. I might end up going hunter but you never know. I like having a pet it's cool
