you can earn the 120k for a wow token in one month but you'd need to be 120 first and then set up a plan for getting the gold.

Heres a tip for you, dont use ICY-VEINS for guides on rotations or stat allocations. Most of the class guides are made by people who literally do not progress in raiding, push mythic+, or climb in PVP, yet somehow they allow these people to be the "experts" on the subjects
Pick a class that has more than just one function. Utility is a beautiful thing. (interrupts, cleansing abilities, etc)
Play a variety of classes before you decide on a "main" so you understand what role you wish to be (dps, tank, or healer), but if you pick a class that can multi-spec it never hurts to learn multiple roles.
Grouping can be difficult for new players so my suggestion would be find a guild that is focused around the leveling aspect of the game. With a solid group you can be 120 in about 10 hours of game play if you grind like a madman
Tying into the Guild aspect of it, research what server you are joining to make sure its populated and that its population is orientated to the side you play (alliance). No sense in being an alliance on a population of 97% horde and 3% alliance right?

I wouldn't waste the time, prepatch is in the next few weeks, and Shadowlands in a month and a week; don't waste time now leveling a cloak for 30 ilvls (corruption goes away so resist is useless)
Instead, spend time getting your xmog game ready, level any alts that you may want to try out in SL, and farm up some money from old raids in case you need it
