I think collecting/using the matching chestpiece to the hood is your best bet for that, because otherwise it'll be quite difficult finding a way to link the purple back in. Of course I'm sure there are other chests that would work too, but I think its probably what would fit most seamlessly
although looking back I'd maybe switch the belt for shiversleet waistguard (mythic)

The irony re: the hidden appearance was that back in Legion when i mained DK, i was involved in the search for the appearance for both unholy and frost. I scoured that continent looking for them, hoping it was a cool quest and not just a random world boss drop. I still remember the day it was found, and i remember when the army mob finally dropped the book for me (we were fighting heroic kiljaeden in ToS and it happened right before the darkness phase!)
...then this alt has it drop while leveling >_< i went and did the quest anyway (Putricide's room) just for nostalgia.

Shoulder size for me depends a bit on race. The more slender races tend to look better with smaller shoulders. The thicker / bulkier ones look offset with smaller ones, imo

@obsidian brook you should try getting a chestpiece with more red,as the current one doesnt match the entire rest of the set being red and green,and if you change the chestpiece you should also change the legs,since while they did fit before with the brown and silver,with all the silver gone(only present in the chestpiece) it would stick out like a sore thumb,maybe getting same gloves as the boot's set would also improve it

It looks better if I cover either the head or the chest/waist area, so changing either the chest/belt or the helm would help. Changing the headpiece would lean more into the blue-purple, changing the chest/belt would lean more into the pinky-purple.

I don't play a plate wearing character, so I don't know the pieces too well. Just my observations that the helm seems to be a different colorway from the rest. So something with more blue-purple instead of pink in it. And possible something larger? it seems small compared to the shoulders.
