I've done a lot of messing around with textures in the game, and that... that I can't explain.

My best guess is that it has something to do with the fact the boots and pants aren't actually the textures though, but rather "spell effects," similar to those physics-belts and physics-shoulders that like to stetch across the planet when they glitch out.

ie pants have an invisible bunny on them that says, "SPELL EFFECT: EQUIP OBJECT ON X, Y, AND Z" etc.

Game mechanic, maybe, and exclusivity. I mean, it'd be pretty ridiculous to see a Death Knight rolling around in Priest gear, even though some of the pieces are cool. Gives people a reason to test out other classes, if transmogging is their thing, and remember to log into those poor...neglected alts.

Hahaha that blue paladin set - I had a transmog on my prot paladin based on that back in Cata. By that point I was in 397+ gear since I was in a raiding guild at the time, but didn't stop some idiot in a Dragon Soul LFR from trying to get me kicked because "tank wtf y u wearing low gear"
