ignoring chaos thrust cause that unlocks late

so once you unlock dragoon via your class quests, lancer basically evolves into dragoon

specialised classes like that are referred to as 'jobs'

which is a bit of an odd term but you get used to it

and if this makes sense, all XP you earn is attributed to your class

so if you were a level 79 dragoon

it'd say 'you earn xyz lancer xp'

that's just how it is, and for this reason

when you hit level 30 in arcanist and unlock your job stone

you unlock two

for summoner AND scholar

both are pet users, but one's a caster one's a healer

and since all xp is attributed to arcanist, they share levels
