@neon hinge there's an event going on right now in D2 called Empyrean Foundation where everyone has to contribute Fractaline in order to unlock something for the next season. There are two kinds of people right now, investors, and donators, with the majority being investors meaning that they are pooling all their resources into increasing their resonance power by turning in Light infused Fractaline, which can be bought at the Tower Obelisk at the cost of 20k glimmer and 10 Legend shards and then you can turn those in at Obelisks on whatever planet they may be on which increases the resonance power at the Tower Obelisk.

On reset, you will get Fractaline equal to the amount of resonance power you have. So right now, people are going to the Spider and spending shards to get planet mats that can be used to spend on glimmer and then that glimmer can be used to to purchase Light Infused Fractaline, which is then turned in to an obelisk to increase your resonance power at the Tower Obelisk, then the loop keeps going, which results in STONKS.
