shaman is a great example of how so many abilities just fucking suck
but they didnt seem to prior to the GCD stuff b/c they had tons of buttons to push
none of them felt fun

Everyoens main complaint was that buff timers get fucked up with the extra GCDs, that was "solved" by extending the buffs an extra 2 seconds.
Mechanically it makes it so that nothings changed but it never felt good in terms of gameplay
