it controls like a supergiant game
and it has quality VO, some unique stuff for rogue-likes
and its fun
lots of fun systems - codex (lore which you get from conversing with npcs or fighting enemies), other weapons (I just got my first, a bow, you switch them out at the start of the run like with bastion), keepsakes (single-equip buffs from npcs earned over time by giving gifts)
there is no healing potion that I have found yet
but there are rooms and npcs that can heal you
and also 2 currencies
coins and gems
coins you lose on death and provide during run upgrades
gems stay with you after death and are spent on permanent upgrades, such as - restore 1 health on entering a new room
these can be upgraded multiple times
but they get more expensive each time
even tho its early access, i recommend it if you like supergiant games, or rogue-likes

So. A great event happened last night for D&D.
We picked up our session against a boss, a Muscle Grand Wizard of Abjuration, and were starting to lose pretty bad. Our Tabaxi rogue got a brilliant idea. He started to calculate how much movement he could do in a single turn and came out to 640 feet total.
He counted out the spaces and found he could run the whole area three times in a circle and then collide with the boss, telling the GM exactly how he had done it. Thanks to his cat reflexes and perfect sense of direction, he T-posed right into our boss. Our DM had to whip out his phone and do some quick physics calculations to see just how much force he would be impacting with, as D&D turns in 5th edition take six seconds to move that much in such a short amount of time, our little tabaxi created a sonic boom and did 3,000 Force damage to the wizard. After all his resistances from wards and junk. 3,000 force damage.
It's safe to say that yes, the Tabaxi did not survive this. He was vaporized with the wizard on impact.

The last one was when we used Telekinesis to launch an adamantium door off to a dragon.
It fully decapitated him and sent the door hurtling through space.

well I got this board game called Heroquest
which is like D&D but a board game basically
they all got mad when they spent half an hour irl looking for a very obviously hinted hidden door
...then the first person through it fell in an obvious trap and died
and the rest spent about 5mins worth of turns waiting for the dwarf to get his shit over from the far side of the board and disarm them
and then 2 more died to Dave the Necromancer meaning they won but with a shite score and only 1 left alive
all in all a fun time for nobody but me

meaning when they entered the room and thus were able to see Dave the Necromancer and his Skeleton Boyos, as advertised in the scenario presented at the beginning of the game
