Hey, can someone hellp me? I don't see anything in the discord help for it, but I coudl be missin g it. My system won't run the recent update of the dekstop app for discord, and won't revert, gives me the same error. I'm here on the website, and trying to talk to my guild. My system volume control claims I'm talking on my mike. Firefox says I've shared my mic with discord app. I've got it on voice activated. My name shows me muted, and all the things I've tried to unmute myself have failed - clicking on gear, clicking on the mute icon, clicking on the mic icon next to my name. Anyone have any clues?

I can't find where on firefox to set it to see my mic. When I sent that, I had chosen 'share my mic' when the dialog box came up. Since then I reloaded the web page wtih discord in it, and now it's flashing a box that says (as best as I can read it) you must share your mic with this page. But the box that says that flashes on and off when I click the mic icon, and no longer gives me a dialog box.

I was using hte app, until it recently told me to update. Which I did. After that, it won't launch. I had only moved the other files out of the way, and so I put them back to revert the change. It still won't launch, with the same error. That's why I'm using the website.

I'm using it on Linux. I have it set to run on login. It brings up a 'we've updated!' box, in which I have three options. download for ubuntu, download a generic compressed file (which is how I installed it in the first place). and "Ill figure it out later". which does NOT launch hte app.

I use Wine to run it. I thiinking of trying to do taht with discord, download the windows version and run it under wine, but discord is already taking up enough of my system, puttin git under an emulater can't be better.

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in University and then it was made worse by my former place of work making me do 48 hour+ weeks, gave me ridiculous shifts, made me do heavy lifting work untrained

Couldn't say no because my other half was not in work at the time

Both of us were attacked end of last year walking home; he'd recently gotten into work, but was badly hurt. His workplace gave him all the time he needed; mine made me do more work. Got signed off, diagnosed with PTSD and finally had the time to get checks done on my back. That's where they found the bad discs

#

It's been a... fun year

#

WoW is helping a lot though, it's nice to ... do something when you can't do much

#

Also re: Malfurion, I still stand by him basically doing an 'old man shouts at cloud' moment in Emerald Nightmare. I love him and all but he is SO dozy sounding in his narration. "I spent many years here, dreaming. Then these kids came with their hippity hop and their red and their blacks. Damn millennials."

my symptoms are usually mild so I can get out of the house every few days and move about the house but my sleeping patterns are unpredictable and (as I think I've mentioned before) I got knocked off my feet for two months a while back by norovirus so that sucked

#

it's going to make going back to university difficult but my uni is generally pretty good with student support so. fingers crossed I can make some form of progress this year
