Well you don't have to use them, however you do get a nice XP bonus if you want to and the gear levels with you for those slots. You still have the others to gear up on the way to level cap.

The best feeling in BDO pvp I had was. When I needed to grind my lvl up. But a top guild took all the spots. I thought: "Ah whatever, lets teach them a lesson". Activated PK, killed 3 by backstabbing. Grinded for an hour. 10 people came from the same guild. Started attacking me. Best time of my life I had at that moment. Took down 4 before dying to a Wizard's AOE.

I can micro-manage things like healing, agro and damage. But when I do that, I can't really pvp. At most I can dodge some boss skills or mob groups.

well to be fair, a lot of PvE is .. "predictable"? It's like a memorisation game. You know the mechanics and where they'll approximately hit.
With PvP it has a lot of variables about what the player did. There's responses, sure. But it's not like, "okay well this is definitely happening."

Well if it's a fire mage or any other damage dealer. I usually keep them dead unless we really need more damage. If it's a tank or another healer, a res is needed 100%.

If the healing isn't that intensive, you could leave a healer that died dead and resurrect a really good DPS in that case. It all depends on what's going on. The tank pretty much 99% of the time needs to be ressed
I mean accidents happen, even the most skilled players can die to stupid or the cause of others being stupid (bombs on Maiden)

I've seen a couple of legion raid videos. And I don't understand how people don't see that they are the bomb? In vanilla or bc, I would've kicked that person straight away. Give him a link with the guide and leave him with it for a few days. After what I would do a test on what that person has learned.
If they don't like how I do things, they can always leave.

For Maiden for example though, I'll often move slightly out of the group when stacking to see if I got a different colour on me
usually the bombs are pretty obvious but there's some that don't announce you have a bomb clearly on you I think

From what I've seen. It's pretty easy to see it. But yeah, DBM apparently sometimes doesn't record the bomb debuff
But that's why you need to have your debuffs and buffs in an easy to see place on the screen.

I'm not claiming to be the best UI designer ever but I've seen my fair share of really bad UIs - problem is a lot of players can be... stubborn about overhauling them. My dad is a good example actually. He has like 3 bloodlust timers cluttered in the middle of his screen, and that information is like... medium-priority? It should be on the medium-to-outer edges of the screen
