Everquest has the best system for this, but how well would that work for WoW? The problem is there are some pretty major changes that "fixed" old content with each subsequent expansion...or even broke it.
Assuming Blizzard does it the smart way and just creates a seamless experience that is as genuine as possible, without the bugs, GL sorting that out in any reasonable timeframe...
But if there's one thing that's unlikely to happen, it's Blizz running multiple types of legacy servers at once. Even Jagex was smart enough to realize how many dev teams would have to run around to manage that, so they set 2007 as their cutoff date.

Mercy hiding spots are few and far between with a good setup.
And if you wear the wings in comp you might as well put a target on yourself, and no one was defending me either. So yeah. That guy was just mouthing off because we were losing.

So since your keybind is Alt+` then it will still allow you to cast say Brown Wolf (in this case, the Water Strider) when you hold Shift while you ALSO press that mount button. It doesn't work if it's mod:alt because you already use that keybind to press that in the first place and so it prioritises to default as if it isn't being modified.You could use a macro extender addon tho

Yeah it's kind of a mixed bag for whether it's good or not. I personally hate it more than I like it, but you also have to define what "CRZ" is. Just open world regular CRZ? Being able to group with other people from other realms (world quest group finder)? I've found it annoying when I'm on a heavily imbalanced server trying to do a PvP objective because CRZ brings people in from several other realms. I love that I can however use it to complete world quests a billion times faster (not literally of course.... maybe literally...)
I think it harms newer players more than it does good, as well. It confuses them when they can't figure out why you can't trade pretty much everything, why you can't join their guild, so on

I think it was good for its purpose, but it's really not good enough if community is what Blizzard is going for.
Personally, I think they should (go for improving community in more extreme ways).

They debugged a bit of the weird lag bombs I got switching zones and dismounting problems, but yeah.... it's like a really poor fix to low pop servers. It doesn't improve progression, the economy, or anything else like that.

That as well. World Quests are absolutely terrible on low pop servers, and can be terrible on imbalanced servers as well where you can switch your "CRZ group" with something else. I don't know how they function though or what formula they use because I don't think it goes by Battle Group.

I also like how sometimes I can use ServerHop to my advantage when there's waaaay too many alliance. I'm levelling on a PvP server and recently completed the Helheim zone in Stormheim. You don't release as a ghost, you straight up release and rez at the graveyard with no running back. Alliance decided to camp low levels there.
Unless you could server hop, there was absolutely no escaping them.
