nature runs wild too
Save the trees, save the bees, save the whales, save those snails?
I did :p
ahh
I'm just curious what effects what in the game
it would likely follow a logical ecosystem-like process
Like if you just destroy all the animals, how does nature go berserk?
which seems like an incredibly complex thing to implement.
(in the game that is)
Do we get that Gorgrond dungeon Everbloom place with all those crazy vines and stuff?
yeah, the amount they've put into the eco system is super impressive to a geeky level
I like games with attention to detail. c:
oh it's nuts
will be even more so when we run it on the server too
it has a full political voting system in it
I could see that being abused real quickly >.>
so if the hippies vote, then science can't move forward and make the space laser needed to stop the comet of doom
AND there was a kickstarter backer option that I may have backed, that gives those players the ability to learn how to make a WORLD NUKE!!! ๐
Just put Jeb Bush in power and you're good
๐
later matey
mmm before I go actually
Just saw this posted: http://www.mmo-champion.com/content/5948-Curse-App-Upgrades-Addon-Management-and-Guild-Servers-Curse-App-Upgrades-Addon-Management-and-Guild-Servers
Articles and forums with game news and raiding strategies.
uhoh......
yeah...
It begins.
we're actually thinking of something cos of that for the station
What a Curse Client replacement?
mebbe
If I had the knowledge I'd do it quickly
as we're building a station app anyway
just rip everything from all the websites like wowinterface, curse, etc.
It wouldn't surprise me if we could somehow get mod organiser to support it
I mainly just don't like Curse trying to push its bootleg Discord garbage that's like 200 megabytes of space and runs as bad or worse than skype
so Discord/Battlenet intergration is live for everyone now
it horribly broke for everyone ont he PTR last night
Oh?
I still don't know what it's supposed to do though :p
Sync up friends I guess?
I'd still love some kind of integration between battlenet and IRC / IM
It would be absolutely great to have extended upon an idea I had a while back to basically have an IRC bot linked with a guild chat server
And essentially verify the bot in the guild server and be able to send / recieve stuff in game via guild, etc. :I
aye, well we've had no end of issues with our bot to link to our old IRC until we build the new station discord bot
Yeah there is that problem. >.>
actually, with remote guild chat, that should be possible
Yeah, it entirely SHOULD be
I just have no idea how to make essentially the battle.net app available via like... discord integration or... hell even battle.net integration for that matter but...
That's something Blizzard themselves are working on I think?
well
more like one or two IT guys or an intern or something
I have to say it's a lot more pleasant looking.... but... again I just want the updater, not the voice client included. :I
http://media.mmo-champion.com/images/news/2016/august/curseAppS04.jpg
it looks like a too colourful discord
maybe, but the client does just one thing, i don't want the chat and other stuff
exactly
I'll have to test out the app myself quick and see if it's... alright but I'm going to keep it in a separate special folder.
That should do it
So first note I want to make...
Why is it trying to place the Curse Client in C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Curse Client\Bin\CurseSetupHelper.exe ?
Installing to the user's app data folder has become common practice for a lot of apps lately. I'm not entirely sure why
I don't really mind it on my own computer, but it's frustrating at work because we try to keep some apps off the student computers by making the student accounts not admin accounts, but then Spotify and crap installs to the user folder to get around it
Hm... :I
I can't remember the method but I believe... there's a technique using mklink...? Not sure how much use it'd be though
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/16226/complete-guide-to-symbolic-links-symlinks-on-windows-or-linux/
this... I think?
I'm familiar with mklink, but I'm not sure how it would help
Yeah I was just suggesting... MAYBE it would help but... not really for... installing files like that :p
It's not that big of a problem lately anyway. Our content filter has gotten better at blocking the network traffic we need to block
Not with students anyway installing garbage
I know I installed stuff all the time, though we had computers that logged into accounts on a server hard drive.
I screwed around with my computers at my school so much now that I think of it... changing backgrounds sometimes
I don't know what happened but one day I changed the background and it never switched back and the IT people didn't know why
I don't even know how to be honest because it stuck on that computer alone. I know I managed to change the server desktop for all the school computers (lol)
http://i.imgur.com/IaGC621.png
This image I created btw was the image I made all the desktop backgrounds
lol
lol for a moment there I thought you made a background based on BSOD
I never really did anything that damaging though. My school had some thing where it reset all the stuff every day no matter what you did to them
and just referred to a hard drive on a server for all the personal files, etc.
When I was in school I remember finding the shared folder that had the website files. It was completely open. I started making subtle changes to it over time and I don't think anyone ever noticed
We used to use something like that. There a program that reset all changes to the computer, except for whatever was in the student documents folder
I made the stupidest garbage images because it was a computer class I had and of course because it was a computer class, I just zipped through everything in a week and was done for the semester
yeah pretty much that
http://i.imgur.com/WfP1Xd9.jpg
another piece of art made on the computers of yours truly
I was in a similar situation. I had a webmastering class that was too easy for me, after a while they switched me to doing tech support for the teacher computers since there was only one tech employee for the whole district
We never had that. :I
There was literally 2 or 3 computer classes. It's a garbage school.
Well the only other computer class we had was BCIS, or business computing
Oh and the time I made my friend's.... college I think...? Or something related... their logo go berserk for some presentation they had.... heh
http://i.imgur.com/w4NOnSE.gif
Come to think of it, we are now a very tech saturated district, but there's still only a BCIS class at middle school and some tech intern-type of class at high school
see on paper and in the preview
it looks all nice and happy
but once the page loads in
it's all downhill. It's all done for.
I haven't looked at his website since....
oh
the logo is gone now.....
completely redesigned after that
Google Groups allows you to create and participate in online forums and email-based groups with a rich experience for community conversations.

anyone ever try something called a moon cake?
Are you using an Android phone?
It's slowly learning
it probably has that algorithm too.
I just have to use a word several times
And make sure I click the option to have it not be autocorrected
oh well that's a little more obnoxious
Maybe someday we'll have a decent autocorrect
It'll probably exist when Google releases a competent language translator.
wait what's this about using an android phone?
I happen to use one but I don't know how it's relevant to moon cakes
lol
so does anyone here use an rx480?
I have used one, but don't own it
I'm trying to figure out how Radeon Wattman works because right now it is only working at about 50% and as a result is running worse than my previous 3 year old graphics card
Do you know how it works?
that sounds very annoying. sawing noises and all that.
meanwhile I have a neighbor who doesn't know what a 9v battery is
anyone who has smoke detectors will get this.
well at least you are in the EU. in the US, you can start doing construction woprk as early as 7am in most places
thats horrible
technically its ok here too
but it barely ever happens
at least around where I live
If people call you via phone in the US too early though you can sue them. (Telemarketers in particular.)
In particular it's to prevent harassment and such. It happens at my house due to it being Alaska and since we moved from the east coast...
So my husband works tech support business side for Cox, right? And today he's got a customer on his phone - right now in fact - who is honestly surprised that he has to use his cox remote with the cox tv box in order to operate his TV.
And I'm just sitting here like... what else was he expecting exactly?
Telepathically telling the TV Box what channel to turn to?
๐
He gets so many PEBKAC cases it's hilarious. XD
Well he gets a lot of like... people who don't know how to open their internet browser. Or go to cnn.com
Yesterday he spent 30 minutes trying to tell someone how to unplug the power from their router in 6 different ways until they understood what he meant.
I mean the guy's been doing tech support since before I even met him and that was 10 years ago, it's not like he doesn't know how to describe these kinds of things in step by step instructions. It's just... wow, people are kind of scary sometimes.
Then you've got the customers that outright refuse to troubleshoot because tech support should be like gods that just wave a magic wand on their end and magically fix everything. Etc etc etc.
My favorite stories though are the ones who call up and refuse to verify the account, which means he can't do anything at all.
you are only seeing it from the outside. I do tech support on CT(CAT scanners) and it AMAZES the heck out of me the way some of these have no damn clue on running these systems. I have a LONG list of hoispitals that I will avoid at ALL costs.
I actually used to do tech support for DirecTV and Verizon wireless myself, so I've been on the inside of this, too.
How many times I've told someone to stop calling me on the phone that has the problem because I can't troubleshoot the phone if we're using it. Sigh.
But that sounds scary as hell, Wrl.
But then again I despise many of the "script puppies" that so many of the tech companies hire that know next to nothing to handle first line phone support. I wil never forget the time that my cable signal was wonky and the script puppy tried to tell me that she had to fix the VOIP phone before we could work on the internet connection O_O.
in any industry, there are always the scary people that have no clue, but I worry that the ID10t's behind some of these scanners will kill are scan so badly that the docs cannot make a dignosis from the omages.
@wide cipher Oh in that case...
@maiden ridge I think one thing worth considering is that since we're all in Discord, there's a high chance every user in here is above the curve on tech savvyness
it's no surprise that to us, people might seem clueless.
but the part that normally disturbs me is when they think they know and prove that they are clueless and will not admit it. I learned MANY years ago that sometimes the best answer is "I do not know."
aye, that part's pretty annoying
it comes down to stubbornness though.
I'd make some sort of joke about baby boomers, but it's intrinsic to humanity itself.
Hey now, you better watch it with those type remarks concerning baby boomers, we ain't such a bad lot on the whole. ๐ Now concerning humaity as a whole, that is true.
People have egos, and admitting that you don't know, or that you were incorrect, is hard.
honestly part of the problem is that in America ( saying this as an American), we let people be dumb
there shouldnt be a person in this country that doesnt know how to change the video settings on their tv or open the internet and use google
anyone who doesnt is either somewhere without access to those things, in which case it is acceptable
or they are morons, which isnt acceptable
This goes back to the other day when we were discussing the value of costantly helping someone versus being 'mean' and making them learn it themselves.
lol
i know right?
i work in a daycare part time
and some of the 5 year olds need me to do the velcro on their shoes because their parents havent shown them how
they are 5
not 3
this country is getting too lazy
I think that's only part of the problem though
and to be honest, it's not necessarily the best way to view the problem. Consider there's also a highly cynical, unempathetic group as well.
did a lot of thinking and tbh the lazy, low intellect, however you want to describe it group will generally end up harming themselves more than anyone else.
and the more I considered the source of annoyance towards the group, the more I realized that distaste came from traits shared by the aforementioned and elitists, etc.
and as steph says, it really does come down to an ego problem.
I don't necessarily agree, there. For instance there is a woman in our guild wars 2 guild who refuses to learn. Outright refuses to. We've done the guild missions 2 nights a week for a year now, and she still can't figure out how to get from point a to point b, still doesn't remember that we go do the world boss first. And every single time, the guild leader handholds her through it again. But if he stopped handholding her, she'd have to learn.
And I know it's not a learning disability/mental issue, because the woman's smart enough to be a charge nurse.
But would she though? It seems more like an issue with her behaviorism. Helping someone is generally a good thing.
At some point though you have to teach a man to fish, not give a man a fish.
Well yes, but that would still involve teaching.
And if he still refuses to learn to fish, then what the hell are you supposed to do?
right, nearly 6am, time to sleep, night all
Because I'm not feeding that guy forever just because he refuses to fend for himself.
Well it's not that I necessarily disagree, but the conclusion you reached isn't necessarily correct.
Night Lone
I agree with everything except the assumption she will help herself if you leave her to her own devices.
Meaning I do agree there's only so much you can do to help someone out.
Why I make this distinction is because some people take the assumption that people will always self-help so far that it leads to unreasonable expectations.
It literally reaches the point that people don't want to be responsible for each other, which isn't exactly the most productive way of doing things.
But we'll never know if she can fend for herself if we keep handholding her, either.
And she'll never know if she can remember these things on her own if she never has to try.
I mean seeking out advice from others is a natural instinct, we all do it, I did it a second ago with my monk - but if no answers had supplied themselves I could have tabbed over to wowhead or even just gotten out of combat long enough to read my tooltip, which is stuff we all need to learn how to do at some poit.
I agree people take it too far, but I just don't know where the line in the sand should be drawn.
There is a point where you're not being benevolent or charitable if you keep helping a person instead of at least attempting to see if they can spread their own wings and fly.
Because you're not actually helping them anymore. You're hurting them.
Well
I should probably rephrase and summarize.
- As a general rule, it's more beneficial to help people than to not help people.
- There are ways to help people that allow them to self-help their way through things. Utilizing inquiries and incomplete statements that provide enough information to go by are ways to do this, for example.
2b. This ties into remarks I've made on how people aren't necessarily good at providing (or receiving) constructive criticism. Being able to constructively criticize well is a big part of helping people, which apparently your guild leader did not do (hand-holding is not usually constructive criticism).
- There's a wrong way to seek and receive help. These people are generally not worth helping due to their personality as opposed to just being dependent. Not everyone who shows some semblance of depedency is automatically bad.
3b. As mentioned above, such individuals share similar traits as those with hardline beliefs of refusing to help or condescending unhelpfulness in the way of "Just Google it." The irony is the information has to be created somewhere for Google to even reach that information, meaning someone had to receive help (pre-emptively or not) to help other people. This also ties into point 1.
- Hurting people by helping them isn't entirely correct. They're technically not much better or worse off since personality issues are already a severe detriment to themselves to begin with. If it manifests as massive dependency, that's to their misfortune (due to crippling insecurities for example).
Pretty much what I'm trying to say is in such a specific context, maybe they just weren't cut out to survive (socially) either way.
so apple killed the headphone jack
and proceeded to announce the only way to charge your phone and listen at the same time, $170 "airbuds", bluetooth wireless earbuds
screw apple
i hope their stock suffers severly when everyone begins to realize you cant charge and listen
That doesn't sound real
bluetooth isn't even worth it if they don't upgrade the bandwidth on the devices.
I'll admit, it's a step in the right direction but it's too early for the rest of the world. Headphones shouldn't be a baseline of hundreds of dollars. It's like how electric cars are great, but they're so expensive right now we can't afford them in the general public.
it should've suffered long ago tbh
Well the more they keep calling innovation when it's just money grubbing, the less consumers are going to buy their products
hence my remark ๐
i asked my bro how much his laptop was
my research told me it should've been about 2500
he said 2500
mfw I can get asus g-series laptops for cheaper, with superior hardware..
wow
yep
macbooks arent worth what they are sold for
people pay for the OS but that is dumb
overpriced OS
meanwhile, microsoft, or as people call them, "M$" gave away their OS for free.
And I do mean literally free, because the upgrade applied to pirated versions of windows 7+
real talk though - on the totem pole of "overpriced, consumer-unfriendly nonsense" apple is pretty close to the top. Blizz is probably in the middle (for comparison)
the fact apple even exists as a sizeable company alongside numerous comparables shows that caveat emptor doesn't mean as much as people might think it does.
I just want the other competing companies to come out with a screen that doesn't feel unresponsive and crappy under my fingertips.
Our contracts are up soon so I'll be testing some other phones, but if they still feel strange or not responsive enough or worse, indent when I push the screen, then I'll still be buying the overpriced bullshit. =|
weird, my droid doesn't seem that unresponsive.
to be fair, it's my first smartphone though lol
the Dragon says the same goign from her iphone to the android tablet and it's not a slouchy tablet either
The problem is that our experiences with things are framed by our initial experiences with similar things - my very first phone that wasn't that motorola flip phone stuff was an iphone. And nothing else has felt that slick and smooth to use since.
well I can understand that
there's a freaking world of difference between my smartphone and my 3ds
I might have to get one of teh new Motorola Flip Androids
I think the 3ds one is functional though.
Oh it is. It'll get you where you're going.
Most times for actual game applications I think I barely notice it, to be honest. Since you're really just using them to quickly tap here and there, navigate menus, etc.
Though cooking mama was a pain in the ass sometimes.
I did appreciate having touchscreen controls for PC box stuff in pokemon
it's insane how much more convenient it is to slide pokemon all over the place to sort.
and actually, it drives me nuts that pokemon go has no such feature.
You know, i was excite about that game when we first installed it. I remember one time my husband woke up in the middle of the night, then got me up all 'get your shoes on there's a flame pony next door'
Stuff like that we didn't think twice about at first but something about it just didn't... stick.
It was strange because that first two weeks all anyone in my gw2 guild's voice chat could talk about was pokemon
And at one point I was just like SHUT UP JFC
But then we all just kind of lost our enthusiasm around the same time.
welcome to the hype train
thankfully I got beta, so I was a bit more serious and business-like about it
also, i've been studying up on mobile games for a bit
and I rolled my eyes when people complained about the game's lacking of features and well...not being like a traditional pokemon game.
I mean honestly, imagine how much data it would take to implement the entire moveset and all the statistical depth traditional pokemon has.
I'm surprised the game has IVs at all.
I never really expected it to have the depth of one of my 3DS versions. What bothered me was stuff like - in order to conserve battery we learned early on to turn off AR, but the entire reason for playing it was to find a clefairy on top of someone's head. And then there was nothing to do with them once we got them since we don't live that close to a gym. So it was collect them all, but here in the desert it's mostly snakes and bats. That got boring quickly and I could never track the more interesting looking ones.
I guess the development team is like a 30 person company and they weren't expecting the game to be this popular.
Well, it's not the server issues I have a problem with.
I honestly kinda want to blame Nintendo for that since they historically underestimate the Internet. They probably relayed info when collaborating with Niantic.
nodnods
Pokemon Bank flips table
Anyways, on Pokemon GO itself.
The gym system is kinda screwed up. 10 slots? Per gym?
I see a whopping 4 gyms in the viewable radius of my area
They're almost always full.
Really pushes that rich gets richer smh ideal.
Beyond that, it's mostly buggy annoyances like the ball flying off to the side, the tracking system getting removed (I liked the meters system the best - it was in beta)
and attacks and dodging not being necessarily smooth or reliable.
oh damn, all the feels being hit in the paralympic opening ceremony right now ๐ฎ
It's also my wedding anniversary, but yeah, Star Trek is awesome, too!
grats ont eh wedding anniversary
๐ thanks. 4 years today. time flies. Been playing wow for 2 years. Seems like forever since I started.
What xpac did you guys start in? I started in Wrath for just long enough to hit level 10, decided I hated the game and then came back in the middle of MoP.
I started in Vanilla. Actually started on a private server but when I got a job I moved over to the official servers to play with a friend. I've played on and off since then.
Nice! I don't meet too many players that started in vanilla. Most have left the game.
I started in wrath but I didn't really know about the internet so when cats came out and all the classes changed, I didn't know what the hell had happened and I stopped playing. I started playing again after siege of grimmer was released and haven't stopped since. Also, live long and prosper ๐
Started in vanilla and didn't miss an xpac ๐
Anyone here who's not from the Pacific Northwest: Have you ever heard the word "Skookum" used in a sentence? "That guy's skookum!" "That bear was skookum."
๐ค am I allowed to answer that if I'm from Alaska?
Oh I suppose that area would have it too eh?
Alaska is basically all Salish and Chinook huh?
Im from the pacific west ( California) and I have never heard that word
Way late to the party, but been playing since Vanilla here and also never missed an xpack, though I did log out overly long during BC
BC start, never missed an xpac. Favorites are Wrath (social), followed by Mists (game design).
i haven't heard that either
It's apparently a jargon word that means "strong"
Alaska is kind of an "amalgamation" of yupik, chinook, aleut, athabaskin, tlingit, haida, tsimshian, inupiat... there were a lot. :p
majority of the remaining population of natives here are yupik, athabaskin, aleut, and tlingit
chinook rarely were in alaska though. More so traded but not really... there.
just thought some people might like this because I derive some game design logic and pro-tutorial rationale from the linked section in particular

Will we need to pay for PS Pro patches?

Didn't know there was a PS Pro
imo if you're buying a system you're buying a system and its updates that it gets until the new model comes out.
yup, Sony seem to be killing off Playstation
OMG 57 days to blizzcon! Super hyped 1st one for me. Aussies represent!
yeah, need to grab my virtual ticket

I found out that balance affinity Worg Druids can use Running Wild in moonkin form to look like a boomie sprinting really fast
Yep. Been running since Cata myself. (well when I can that is.) ๐
I never had a Worg main, but this is now in the running for coolest thing ever for me xD
Especially since the worgen run looks super awkward to me... Why can we have tails??? ๐ข
@terse ravine Right. Heck, even this pic done by Samwise Didier shows a worgen with one. ๐
love it
That would be amazing. A big fluffy tail would complete my look. I mean...space goats get one....
True.. Plus its only fair since when they made the saurokโ and saberon based off the worgen skeleton models, they had tails. lol

also I mindgamed him into not killing deathwing

10 dollars for a battle.net name change. I cannot even.
I should just ask for a job from Blizz. Apparently writing CS101 scripts that print money is a valid occupation...
"they're giving players a option to change their battletag, which takes a lot of work in their systems to keep everything working properly"
holy freaking lmao
wat
don't really care if it's been around for one day or one year, it's still a bad deal and it's sadder that people try to justify it or write it off with semi-unrelated talking points like "oh well at least it's not p2w."
huh?
pretty much new (or old?) services are available at the typical Blizzard Premium Pricing Modelโข
fair play to them
fair play, but also fair play to be criticized by the masses.
well let's put it this way
Blizzard asks for feedback when you do something like unsubscribe
this is pretty standard stuff. it's used in a variety of situations for a variety of products, so implying criticism means nothing is frankly a load of BS.
oh it means something certainly, my point is meh, it's an admin charge, so meh
but then I am old and used to charges like this in life
grumble grumble, sodding bank, grumble grumble
well times have certainly changed in some way, plus it doesn't take much to figure out this sort of administration can be entirely automated.
the amount of overhead needed to keep this running is next to nothing, probably (relative to just keeping the entire service, that is to say, Battle.net and its games, running).
yes, but they still need checks and balances and thats a human job
so someone gotta get paid
Which still amounts to next to nothing compared to Blizzard's typical upkeep.
so, it's 100% profit, thats business
Actually it probably amounts to next to nothing compared to keeping a legacy server with thousands of players on it running (cough Jagex and Oldschool Runescape cough) but that's beside the point.
vote with your wallet folks!
okay, i've heard that argument a lot of times
it's pretty BS for a variety of reasons, but I'll provide one.
The world has 7 billion people and growing.
anyone who thinks it's BS (cos we're not supposed to swear on here), really has no clue how business works
well, I actually happen to have several family members who are either at the head of their businesses or are close, so I'm aware of how businesses work to some degree
some are small, others are relatively large and influential.
and as far as I can tell, not a single one sought cutting edge profit margins that were multitudes more than the amount needed to keep the business afloat.
pretty much what I'm trying to say is Blizzard can have their cake and eat it too.
I have no issue with them generating profit, I have more of an issue with the how (that is to say, the method).
ethical business doesn't, no
BUT, who ever said Blizzard was ethical in it's business?
and why should it be?
That's a matter of consumer judgement, but let's consider some of their other actions.
For example, their customer service is pretty excellent.
And over the years they've increasingly listened to their playerbase regarding stuff like say, in-game features.
hence, "vote with your wallets folks"
It's pretty clear they care, even if it's just damage control.
But does that really work in a world of financial irresponsibility, irresponsible businesses that get away with their behavior every day due to corrupt lobbying and the like, etc?
It works more because Blizzard is an overall good on the industry, but the point of my criticism is that they can be better.
Look at Apple for instance
Voting with one's wallet can only do so much to make that impact.
Everyone can do better, but harping on about it where they can't hear you is futile
you may aswell stand on a street corner and do it
with a company like that, you vote with your wallet, cos nothign else matters
Already do. Just haven't done it here, and I doubt you'll be the only one to see this conversation.
cos hell, if you listened to my station and had some ideas and feedback, I'd take it on board, cos I'm small enough to do it, but Blizz, EA, Apple, you get lost in the chachings of the cash register ont he subject
In fact, I've even heard this same line of arguing from numerous people I have these kinds of discussions with. Considering that the issue of corporate control has only seemed to have gotten worse in some industries and there's blatant evidence of corruption at least in the States, I'm nearly drowning in confirmation bias here.
oh btw, on that quote you keep throwing around
for you
it's not a quote, it's a life choice I stand by
just thought it might be of interest, your point is actually comparable to the "lost sale fallacy."
cos I don't have much money, so i HAVE to vote with my wallet
fair point.
as a LOT of people have to
Your wallet votes for you, and it says No ๐ญ
and so do I, but at the same time, I also add my voice. This is something I've already done this election cycle and at pretty much anything I think was in dire need of constructive criticism.
but then 1%'s turn it into a bad thing cos they CAN buy whatever they want
@torpid bear https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJW_ML5aE9E
your voice means NOTHING unless you are stood at a cash register
and on that note, I need to go grocery shopping
CHEAP grocery shopping ๐
Well I mean it's not like I don't buy Blizzard products (I've played many of their games for a reason). I just explain why I don't buy the product they happen to be putting out at the time.
but luckily i liked Baked Beans ๐
Wallet says No to M&S
Actually, I also made it pretty clear I might buy it if the price point were lowered by default.
I also pointed out other people would do it too.
Also just to provide some insight regarding where I'm coming from:
@torpid bear M&S?
Also, that tweet was in response to alternate hero portraits in Hearthstone. There's a reason Blizzard hasn't exactly been selling a lot of those since (but rather using free promos, which is probably better for them as a business and us as a consumer). The community got pretty angry about $10 hero skins, which is ironic to a degree considering how CCGs typically are with microtransactions. Maybe it's because the price of stuff like packs and adventures are a little more on the fair side.
what does that point even address though? It doesn't dispel criticism against the product at all.
none of your points have.
it's more a statement of fact more than "okay here is why your criticism makes no sense" or "here is where you are wrong."
I think what @versed pebble is saying is that Blizzard is 100% free to make a product as they see fit. If you don't like it, don't buy it. No one is forcing you to buy a product you don't like.
I personally think that even if you've paid for the product beforehand, there is still no obligation on the part of Blizzard to make a product that specifically suits your needs. They are not even obligated to listen to feedback, though they will if they're smart, which they usually are. People stop subscribing to WoW, they look to the forums to see why. Vote with your wallets, folks.
Which is true, but this is also why the voicing criticism part is important.
What I think @ashen parrot is saying is that even if I don't buy a product I don't like, how will they change if I don't tell them what I don't like about it.
Yes that's about it.
Okay making sure I understood. I propose a compromise.
Complain about it and if they don't change, then stop paying for it.
There's also the part where one person has little influence even when posting the criticism on a public forum, so it doesn't hurt to discuss it elsewhere.
^ very true.
One person in 3m subscribers is a literal drop in the bucket. They won't miss $15/mo
That's a large part of why I'm making these points to begin with.
The WILL miss $15,000,000/mo
As for the compromise, the problem is I enjoy the base product, but dislike the other additions.
This is why it's a bit of a pickle to find out what to do.
I am voting with my wallet - that's why I know it doesn't freaking work.
True. So you're not using the name change, but other people are because they do like it. I don't think it something that Blizzard is expecting people to use, but they know a lot of people do, so they're charging them an inconvenience fee for doing so. And they know people will pay so they set a price and laugh all the way to the bank. It's just business.
For now though, I settle with simply not buying the products or services as much as I can. My timeline of purchases have a couple exceptions, such as when I had to share a cost of changing my guild name because my friend changed it previously.
And I didn't want a guild called "GUMMY SHARKS" lol
four score = 80 though...that must be REALLY obscure. But I don't blaze or know many people who do.
At your previous point though, it just being business is what I'm attempting to change.
4 = 4, score = 20. 420 ๐
not a lot of people really get it. they assume I'm referring to lincoln or something
anyways, on the main topic, to follow up - I find it very weird that Blizzard has so much about it that screams "ethical, consumer-friendly business" and then they do stuff like this.
I guess the thing I don't understand is the reasoning behind attempting to change a business practice. Sure I think that $10 is a little steep. Perhaps they want to discourage people from abusing the service to change their names to something like BIizzardGMrep14 or something.
I chose that because this is a family friendly discord.
I didn't read your post before I typed that, I'm sorry.
I pointed this out in my article criticizing the practice. I acknowledged the problem is actually a relatively minor one - one that is an issue throughout the entire industry. TB mentioned a similar issue when talking about microtransactions and how people aren't too happy about it utilizing a theory that they're generally overpriced.
it's alright
I also mentioned that keeping their pricing model around could be very damaging though.
The Mystic Runesaber trailer is a perfect example of this.
It was entirely unrelated to content release, yet people jumped on it out of sheer frustration because it screamed cash grab at a low point in the content cycle - a month before 6.2.
Microtransactions ARE overpriced. That's the main reason companies use them so much. They offer you something that looks valuable, but it's really not, charge you probably 10x what it's worth knowing full well that because they're the only way you can get what they offer, you will eventually pay.
But at the same time that's not the only viable business model (heck it might not even be right to call it viable). Fair pricing exists for a reason - because it works due to how consumer-friendly it feels, while still providing comfortable profit margins to the business.
It's pretty much an idea of an "everybody wins" situation.
I mean, I've co-founded a game dev company and one of our first games we're going to release will probably have microtransactions. It won't be p2w, most of it will be cosmetic, but we'll make bank knowing that people will pay for it. It is a viable business model because of supply and demand. If you release something people want, gate it behind a paywall, if the price is fair, they WILL pay for it and you will make bank.
and with the amount of criticism this particular feature is receiving, I'm going to safely say not a lot of people are winning.
Yeah, I will agree that $10 for a name-change isn't right. However I think the aritificial price hike is to prevent spam abuse.
well
these videos are so bloody old and they continue to hold relevance.
As for spam abuse, I call BS.
Blizzard reduced the cooldown on their server transfers and name changes in WoW from a whopping 6 months to 3 days and 1 month respectively.
Yeah I'm just going to start by saying that I've already seen those videos. ๐ I don't generally agree with f2p games with microtransactions because generally those games lock all the content behind time gates that you have to pay to get past. We're not going to make games like that.
Every thing you pay for in our games will be purely cosmetic.
Gating the feature behind money isn't going to stop avid trolls who have the disposable income and willingness to troll. Blizzard simply profits off the trolls and the trolls continue to do their thing.
Point is money's not a good restriction, time is.
Or unlockable by spending an appropriate amount of time in the game or unlocking via achievements.
The reason I know this is because it's a huge part of why WoD flopped hard.
and why WoW has always had that feeling of not having much to do, especially later on in content cycles.
Yeah, there's a lot of stuff in WoD I didn't do simply because of the money requirement. That and the Legendary Ring quest was so stupid difficult to do without a raiding guild.
I quested to 100, got flying and farmed my garrison for mats.
I wasn't talking about money though.
Not a fun expac, but people dropped their subs, complained on the forums and viola! we got a better expac this time around.
I was talking about time.
I was pretty much arguing that a cooldown is better than charging money to prohibit. I've seen that argument in like all the threads on this topic and am surprised no one's shot it down by linking to Wowpedia, showing the transfer CD going down, and the number of transfers shooting up dramatically.
Don't battletags go through approval so that you basically don't encounter garbage battletags?
There's a reason why only a few realms have the "High" or "Locked" populace. Considering that apparently realm caps have increased, they shouldn't, right?
I believe you. Generally people won't bother with something that has a long CD unless it's something they're only going to use once.
From what I can tell, not really.
I've only used a server xfer once.
It's more of a "if your name gets reported, we're force changing it."
Similar to WoW naming policies
From playing on a RP server, I occasionally run into a few people from MG that I'd like to report for name violations but MG has more lax restrictions than WRA
My friend had a worgen named Lilbytch and it got reported because he was acting like an ass. I've seen countless times worse names and we always just bring up, "But Lilbytch, nah. Too far."
btw, jumping back - I think cosmetic microtransactions are good, but it's important to fairly price those too.
I mean the microtrans video I linked talks about what appears to be an overpriced cosmetic monocle.
And I've seen decent examples of good cosmetic microtrans*. League's surprisingly good about it with their higher end skins (not the chroma skins lol) and even mobile games like Unison League have fairly cheap cosmetic items that utilize an easily farmed premium currency.
as in literally you get at least 1-2 a day premium currency, and the items cost 1 each.
Yeah and if you notice, pretty much all the skins are bought using IP. RP you have to pay for and those are used to buy champions. Never played UL so I cannot comment on that.
What if they made microtransactions scale with demand like WoW token prices (as well as buying stuff with gold or money seeing as you can exchange the two anyway.)
Skins used to cost only RP though, and even then some were fairly good value even at full price.
That might be okay but what if one person wanted to name change and because 5 million other people name-changed, he now has to pay $50 for it?
Now not everyone has disposable income.
@steady fossil it would be interesting for analytical purposes, but would also show Blizzard's willing to change the real life price of the item.
Also, it's highly likely only a small percentage of the community is actually buying + other weird anomaly problems.
I think the issue is that with all unique items (unique to Blizzard), because they're the only place you can get said item, it's hard to set a fair price everyone can agree on, and by everyone I mean the whole of the Blizzard community.
that's is a part of it, yes.
though to be honest, the people who talk about the exclusivity of microtransaction items are similar to the ones who talk about the constant loss of a sense of achievement. They're typically of a minority that are virtually impossible to please and rarely seem to provide decent criticism. There may also be a problem of rose-tinted glasses.
so yes, it sucks, but at the same time, it's probably not the best talking point to use when saying "please lower the price of X." It really screams "argument made from emotion."
On the latter point, I also agree, but I would say in general that lower is probably better, and I can imagine Blizzard could set the price of their goods obscenely low due to the digital distribution factor.
Yeah. Although a talking point would be something more along the lines of, "This is way overpriced because you're literally changing a value in a database. That's something I could do for free."
There's not as much in the way of significant manufacturing costs*, distribution costs, etc.
Not really. At this point it's just an inconvenience fee.
Like they're saying, "You can change your name, but since we don't really like people to do that, we're going to make you pay a lot of money for it."
either way, I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with selling cosmetics in particular. Services...ehh...
Which, as I pointed out previously, isn't even a good way to prohibit the practice of excessive name changes.
So either Blizzard is going about this the wrong way or they know what they're doing and lying/letting their fans perpetuate the lies.
Yeah, revise that to say "You can change your name, and since we know a lot of people are going to want to do that, we're setting this price so that maybe we can recover some lost mulah from the WoD flop. Enjoy!"
That wasn't quite the point I was making previously though. I was more implying WoD had a lot of time-gating to it.
Such as waiting for missions to complete, for example.
I'm getting a sense of dejavu
I may have discussed the point before.
Like I've seen that in a different WoW expac.
Except you don't wait in your order hall to complete the missions.
Oh in that case I understood it better in WoD and literally wrote an article on it
It was...Legolas? Legion? Yeah Legion.
It's all garbage that they're still keeping it in, but it isn't as bad.
@steady fossil But that's because there's other gameplay loops you can utilize in Legion to enjoy yourself.
WoD didn't have such a luxury. Not as much, anyways. And...boy did it show.
And the Companion App makes it more bearable. I don't have to play the game to manage my Order Hall. I can do that while I'm at work, get home later today, login, collect the completed missions, and actually play the game I've barely scratched the surface of.
That is very true. It helps since it provides accessibility without needing to do something more intensive like downloading Teamviewer just to remotely play WoW.
not having to spend the 20 minutes of travelling to the order hall, organising missions, and travelling back is 20 more minutes every day of gameplay
Eh but that wasn't really a problem with the Garrison though.
And for people like me, who only have a couple hours each day, that's a lot of time saved.
True, but the Legion missions are so easy to figure out you don't need Masterplan anymore.
the order halls don't take much time app or no though
it just helps a little
i may grab it myself as I open more Order Halls on my characters.
The only difference is that it doesn't precalculate the mission success rate.
Either way, even if it were around in Warlords, such an app wouldn't help much.
you still can see what encounters are nullified which is 90% of the success rate anyway
haha yeah.
I mean Ashran was pretty screwed up for a good chunk of the expansion, so that's out.
Compelling dailies were added in 6.2 and they're pretty brief, so that's out.
You've done your raids for the week, so that's out.
I hit 100 before I even touched a dungeon in WoD because I didn't have to do them and had no incentive to do them. It wasn't until I got the Inn upgraded that I had reason to do dungeons in WoD and even then, the reward from them wasn't appropriate for my level.
Pet Battles? Not much left to do since you finished the achievements and are drowning in charms as is.
Dungeons were more a focus at level cap in WoD.
Ashran was screwed up? It still kind of is. Bgs are where the PvP exists.
a lack of quests really made them pointless until Blizzard eventually buffed the XP rates
well I mean ignoring the PvP part though
release Ashran was a little problematic, but it had huge battles taking place on the road constantly.
long queue Ashran was just...argh
pre 6.1 Ashran was win trading.
6.1 Ashran was win trading
6.2 Ashran there were some queue problems
6.2 Ashran was better when you could queue as the other faction.
pre-Legion Ashran people finally decided to give Ashran a try again and lots of premades formed.
And there were large-scale battles again.
Actually 6.2 Ashran had this too but the queue times were...painful
Blizz fixed that shortly into the 6.2 cycle though.
premade ashrans killed it for me. :I
6.2 premade Ashrans were alright.
I think people treated Ashran like a BG when it should have been treated like WPvP.
You're probably thinking of the annoying win trading premades.
It was a BG thoguh basically
And it was essentially a BG marketed as WPvP
You can't treat it like WPvP when it's just a BG :I
Okay we're all saying the same thing now.
I don't recall it ever being marketed as world pvp.
It was rumored to be early on I think.
probably they saw "PvP zone" xD
The main issue I had with Ashran was that a whole zone got axed. We didn't need ashran, we needed the other zone to complete the Outland map
And so we could have content.
Actually it might not have mattered.
WoD sucked that much.
A whole zone time-gated and one completely missing, never to be implemented at all. But we got Ashran which isn't even on the Outland map.
Farahlon?
That's the one.
I don't think it's really that fair to criticize Ashran though.
Farahlon had potential.Like real potential to be a really massive threat.
I think it was a decent piece of content, at least on paper.
Laughing Skull Orcs + Lich King levels of "wild growth" infesting and taking over bodies.
And as it turned out, it was fairly good, though shoehorning a bunch of stuff like making it the place to farm Broken Bones, was just bad game design since it limits player choice.
As for Farahlon, Warlords had so much cut content I'm not even sure what to say.
If we ever get ogres, we're going back to Ogre island place south of Draenor to recruit them. :^)
Well no I know what to say. They should've been more aggressive with addressing the issue of Garrisons when it became apparent it was a problem (aka by 6.1)
And they should've taken some time to implement more content than they did between 6.2 and 7.0
aka before 6.1
FTFY
I know parallel development is a thing and Legion was on the horizon, but alienating the playerbase over the course of over a year is not a smart thing to do. Delaying and developing at least something would've helped. It didn't need to be an entire raid tier, but just something besides more TW or other easily-implemented, low gameplay yield content would've helped.
The best time to address Garrisons would've been 6.1.
6.2 at the latest
I have to give Ashran some credit though in that it eliminated the loading screen issue for instanced content. Legion uses some of that tech now and makes the game a lot smoother.
Blizz addressed them by 7.0
It's like how Lucas tried to make Jar Jar Binks work and it didn't.
Except Blizzard doubled down a lot harder than Lucas did.
Let's not even get into SW because I'm a huge fan and I think JJB should have stayed and become Count Dooku.
lol
well it was a functional comparison
either way, for posterity, this is that article I was talking about that I wrote up
might've linked it before. idk.
but if you want a good idea of how screwed up WoD was, combine all parts of the chart I made except the "persistent" part and notice that there's still some pretty huge waiting gaps.
Imagine they release the patch for Return to Karazhan and make you wait 4 weeks before you can actually enter it because of gating. :p
lol if they put kara attunement I swear to god.
Speaking of that, are they opening the Crypts finally? I ventured down there preLegion and the crypts were kind of open and definitely revamped, but now the gate is back.
suramar dungeon attunement was a major pain tbh
I think there is an attunement though for Kara
they might.
hopefully it's more on the brief side.
as opposed to "requires many days of farming X rep."
I saw they were adding new reputations or something
not necessarily related to the attunment
violet eye 2.0 inc
but saw some with mounts etc.
I recall reading somewhere that you had to do some class hall missions to get attuned. I can't seem to find where I read that though
dont' you mean violet hold?
I didn't raid in BC but I see the reputation a lot from running old Kara
Patch 7.1 hit the PTR this evening and includes numerous changes, tooltip updates, and miscellania โ but most important, itโs the patch which includes the updated Karazhan dungeon. Before you can run the dungeon, you must be attuned, and attunement involves an ilevel 850 Order Hall mission. If, like me, your followers in the live โฆ
is that the one I was just looking for? :p
I saw wowhead mention attunment somewhere
930 here haha. Played a mess of OW last night and ended with an epic comeback.
I got about 4 hours of sleep and I'm at work now.๐
It's 6:34 am and I haven't slept :^)
I've been working on model edit things though
I'm too old not to sleep anymore.
I have a lot of trouble sleeping and only manage to sleep for like 4-6 hours max ever
even with being fully relaxed, no stress, everything I get like 6 hours
tl;dr of my points for anyone who reads through this mess of a convo:
- I am criticizing Blizzard for overpricing some of their goods. Overall, this is a rather minor issue but one that could exacerbate the company's reputation when presented as evidence regarding the wrongdoings of Blizzard during times when the fanbase is more critical of Blizzard. Also, bad business practices are just kinda bad, even if they don't have immediate consequences.
1b. Criticizing is a valid part of the process of consumer-business relationships (this is why we have product reviews). Voting with one's wallet isn't the only way to get a business's attention, nor is it the most impactful unless many do it.
-
Time is a better method of prohibition than price point.
-
WoD had major time-gating issues. There were also other factors such as a lack of compelling gameplay related to the Garrison. Waiting should not be part of a gameplay loop whenever possible (@aspiring game designers).
okay actually sleeping night lol
^ which are all valid points
it really only works for phone games really... and if anything (I might be alone on this) I've felt phone games are more of a fad than anything.
perhaps.
But if it is a fad, game dev companies would be fools not to cash in on them while they're still popular.
oh surely
and they already have
they're going to drive it into the ground even when it's dead
until they're all made irrevelant by the next big thing, whichever that may be... holographic display watches, eyeglass lenses, who knows whatever thing it'll be.
personally I don't see it as a bad thing either. If people really enjoy that and other people find it a way of benefit to make money, by all means they're allowed to do that. I personally have no interest in it since I find something more entertaining for myself.
@steady fossil Whether it's a fad or not, there's no denying the audience potential or the grim reflections of the gaming industry that are associated with the mobile market./
Actually, that's where I got that little time gating issue from. Didn't realize it was such a big problem until I had to wait for stamina in one of those damn games lol.
:^)
i dont think the mission is for opening the dungeon. there are at the moment also several dungeon missions, who give you a quest to enter the dungeon and get an item
they talked about atumend but together with trial of valor that you must do something in there
http://ptr.wowhead.com/mission=1496/what-lurks-beneath-the-tower if you look here, you see an dungeon treasure mission
A Rare level 110 7.0 Class Hall - Treasure Missions - Dungeon mission with 3 champions. Required item level: 850
no special mission like the class order hall missions

like atm I'm working on model updates and stuff. I'd also need to get super organised and make sure I don't start just making full albums play or something.
oh our program does that for you
welp I just found a good example of why reliving nostalgia doesn't necessarily work out
and now I'm depressed since most of my Wrath friends are gone
for chrome users
oh thank god
I have a friend who's so painfully OCD that they really can't function under even the slightest change. Her windows just updated and all I've heard is paniced stream of consciousness babbling about how awful and terrible and horrible it is, but when she finally gets over it and loads up chrome and has another panic attack I can show her how to undo it.
i don't particularly mind the style change
except for the problem where stuff got way too small
pretty sure some extension icons in particular went to half size
once either the extension updates fix it or chrome fixes it, I'll probably go back
the criticism that desktop versions of apps are becoming a lot like their mobile counterparts is apt though
Well bearing in mind that her biggest source of 5 paragraph freakout had to do with the fact that the action center icon got put all the way to the right and the time is the only thing that's supposed to be all the way to the right
One tiny change but it was enough to drive her into panic mode, so he's bound to notice the smaller icons and oddly blocky tabs
hasn't that not been the case since like windows xp or 7? that boat's sailed and come back and sailed again
I'm on windows 10 and mine is on the left.
The change only affected windows 10 anniversary edition apparently
yeah...I haven't risked going up to that yet lol
I find it interesting my pc's not forcing it onto me either
They give you no option to change the positioning of anything on that side of the taskbar so she can't even drag it back to the left of the time.
And that was enough for breathe into a paper bag and log off the internet/never touch her laptop for a day mode
that seems a bit...extreme
So she had to disable it completely and there were 2 paragraphs about that. Then another 3 about whatever they did to the start menu.
I mean I get not liking change, but
Like I said, her OCD is on levels that make it quite hard for her to even function normally when there's unexpected change to the things that need to be a certain way for her.
oh that would do it
I doubt she'd have cared if they changed the shape or color of the thing, but the time needs to be all the way to the right. Thus the problem.
Me, I have what I call a 'livable' case of OCD - i notice changes and some of them tend to drive me up the wall. other things (like for instance, people lloading the dishwasher wrong or handling meat without washing their hands and then touching things in the kitchen) will give me extreme anxiety levels but I can usually talk myself down. There are times when it's too bad to be in a steady work environment still. But yeah. Her case is very extreme.
In any case she wasn't hte only one complaining and I'm wondering if Microsoft might not consider a drag and reposition kind of functionality like you can do on the left side.
For your pinned apps.
Or maybe just an on/off switch for 'time all the way to the right' XD
I do agree. That's pretty dumb.
If there's one thing I generally don't appreciate as a casual or power user, it's not having flexibility
Day two of using smartphone
Still have barely any idea how to make it function
but it's nice to be able to move icons around and stuff.
Generally from any design standpoint where multiple end users is expected... more options are better. =\
Microsoft is the worst for this, because they keep thinking that all windows users are idiots who can't handle the responsibility of being able to move their stuff around.
There should always be a power user mode.
as someone who uses skype, indeed.

Yes
Is there a weekly M+ dungeon affix tracker somewhere? (EU)
Pretty sure it's random
Affixes are randomly rolled from the available options
AFAIK - it's randomly generated every tuesday after restarts. But, i'm sure that could be made into a tracker of some sort, just not sure if one exists or is being developed yet.
I believe affixes are weekly, as in on M+4 it's the same affix for everyone in region (US/EU are different) and logs seem to point the same direction, as they all are with the same affixes, but I just don't know what those tiny icons mean.
oh what are they doing?
Enabling mass reporting for level 3 heroes.

Could you perhaps move them to the blank point just aboutve perc's video window, that would make it eaiser to read, otherwise great show you girls put on every week. keep it up
bought a chicken katsu plate
for some reason it was thigh sized pieces of chicken
instead of strips
wtffff
how am i supposd to dip
manually have to cut the strips, probably
i actually just chomped off huge bites like a savage
heh
btw do you have worchestershire sauce
you can make a mean homemade katsu sauce with that and ketchup, plus other modifications
i always buy all my plate lunch from minit stop
so i just use their katsu
but idk i think its 2 sweet
maybe i try make my own
worchestershire + ketchup results in a less sweet sauce. the modifications I use generally involve honey or bbq
makes it slightly sweeter and smokier
sodium = yum
you can buy low sodium soy
i do a mean honey/soy/garlic sauce for my chicken that i cook at home
still has quite a bit though
yeah but you're not suppose to use that much that it would give you a coronary
point stands though. pretty easy to intake a lot of salt especially as a WoW player
yeah indeed even coffee isnt good for you
I've never drank actual coffee before. :I
I like the smell though
Coffee is a bit strange in that it often has a much different taste than smell.
pretty much :p
BLIMEY CRIKEY G'DAY G'DAY
so daylight savings starts sunday in australia yay less sleep that night
"cut a foot off the top of a blanket and sew it to the bottom of a blanket and have a longer blanket." :D
love living somewhere that doesnt dst lol
I'm in Alaska. DST is even more useless for me
lol didnt know they even have dst
who? Alaska?
So they tried to reword the video to sound more simplified? I haven't watched the video through yet.
they used the same view link, same stats, etc
but they basically uploaded a new video to the same url, which changes some text
I still don't see any of the wording as different though
it's the same exact mindset.
They didn't change overnight or anything
All they really did was change the vocabulary but it's still the same exact permissions. The same exact features. They aren't going anywhere, and people will still mass-flag
idk harmful opinions explained it pretty well
yeah basically
but it implies against mass flagging as opposed to before
kind of. Still doesn't take the ability away.
Where/how do I report having found a hidden Artifact appearance?
Saw they have lists of discovered ones on the Wowhead site, but this one is/was not among them
wich one?
Prot Paladin, a hidden appearance for Truthguard
not sure if there are more than one hidden appearance, but I found it/one
It is reflecting in my armory, http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/twilights-hammer/Zackeriah/advanced
really? where can I find these things out?
It the Ret pala one known? And is there only one per spec/class combo
ah, ofcourse xD
only 1 hidden per specc the second hidden is not implemented
ah, for a later patch then, I guess
@steady fossil What part of Alaska? I just moved from Anchorage
Pretty much north of Anchorage, 10 miles outside of Wasilla. :p
Nice, are you from there, or there for work?
I live here but wasn't born here. I'd move out but money. :p
Fun
yo can i borrow someone elses eyes
can you find an apply link on this site : http://vs.guildlaunch.com/forums/index.php?gid=496593
cuz ive been looking for like 5 mins and cant find em
nvm figured it out
O.o Where is it? I can't even find it.
turns out you have to find a way to log in to the website that powers that website
and then you have to find the 'join website' button and click that
and that takes you to an outdaded recuritment page
(i say outdated to mean it still asks questions about wod)
.-. weird...
best wishes to @shadow juniper , sorry to hear about your pup
is wowhead dungeon journal for EN not working?
D:
@azure timber In the Character Planner?
Hi! there is a bot for use slash command like /xivdb but for wowhead items?
The xivdb command is built in to discord, not a bot. A bot would be possible, but it wouldn't work the same way because everyone could see you running the search
@karmic hollow thx for the information ๐
Maybe Wowhead could talk to the Discord folks about adding a /wowhead command
i hope
Nice
Doesn't the iphone 7 case come with the headphone adapter?
I still think it's a step in the right direction, but it's too early to try to implement. :/
Belkin's got one that lets you do both at once.
Belkin LOVE Apple... Apple have given them so much money from the extra cables they've made to reinstate things Apple try and remove
And Bethesda doesn't have to fix bugs, make high res textures or accurate lighting, make a UI that's easy to use that makes sense, or even make good looking models with good hair, because their fan base will fix all of that for them with mods.
Businesses everywhere rely on other people to make their products better.
It's not necessarily a bad thing. XD
Blizzard does the same with their UI arguably, though... :o
I'm making an addon right now I'm hoping they'll implement. I'm working on the code as we speak... kind of annoying atm but I'm really close to finishing.
I ran into... complications though atm....
If anybody would want to help me with it, it'd seriously be appreciated. ๐
so when you switch to the spellbook, the new professions thingy youve made isnt closing @steady fossil ?
kinda yeah. It's all a mess atm anyway so I'm working on cleaning everything up
well it seems very cool and i will totally use it and praise it when it is ready for testing (btw i would love to help test if you need it)
right now it's definitely just gonna blow up if you use it...
Made a lot of progress. :D
So it doesn't definitely blow up?
Has anyone found a fix for the Stormheim starting quest?
"Fix"?
And it still blows up kind of.
But I progressed quite a bitnow.
I finally got the tabs implemented... I'm still working on it though.
Any mmos you guys like besides wow?
