Make fishing feel better?

idk how to title this idea but i feel like the fishing would be a nicer length and feel better if completing the ring minigame would boost your catch meter a little for the osu and webfishing style minigames you can either continue to reel in while waiting or it doesnt take long, the ring one tho stops you from reeling and takes enough time that by the end the catch meter is noticeably lower and makes me kinda go when i get it

this one is mechanically the worst of the minigames to get because the best scenario is a relatively noticeable net loss

Yeah, I definitely agree, if you get it first for a hard catch, you pretty much instantly lose

I just came here to suggest that, I feel like whenever I miss even one minigame on the rare fish I immediately lose it, so it would be great if you got a chunk of progress for completing each minigame since you lose quite a bit, especially on the ring one if you need to wait for the marker to go all the way around if you missed it.

As per 0.2.1 I've updated fishing a bit! Completing the minigames now boosts your bar a little so you don't always get a net loss

And the punishments for missing minigames has been nerfed slightly as well :p
