I wish I started an update log earlier but I have only just joined this community, but I do remember having a fantastic start in my first year. After looting almost the entire map for the first two days I plonked my house down by the waterfall near the mine, sowed some seeds and found a special villager (extraction). He's been chopping wood since day one.

I ended the first spring with a few thousand coins, a small farm and an efficient source of logs - not bad.

This is the farm. Got plum trees for days. Thinking about expanding for more flax but it's good enough for now. I've got two pigsties, two cowsheds, two sheep farms, and one of everything else (apart from goats).

#

The market area. Don't mind the NPCs. I think they do a glitchy little jump when they spawn. Currently generating around 11,000 coins/day selling a mix of noble hoods/tunics, quark, bronze knives, plum wine and mead

#

This is the main tavern. Nice scenic location by the waterfall but it doesn't get as busy as the second tavern.

#

My house on the right overlooking the river with some friendly ~~trespassers ~~neighbours hanging out in my garden

#

In need of some detailing but I'm happy with the progress so far. Next I'll probably expand across the river opposite my house, and on the cliffs overlooking the waterfall

This is my main crafting area. The kitchen, workshop, sewing hut, woodshed, well and herbalist are all within a few steps of their appropriate storage areas for convenience. Before I made this area I was running (sometimes very slowly with a full inventory) all over my village whilst crafting various items to sell.
