and probably more...
And I don't understand what you mean by "ability to be armor clad"
Also another thing I forgot to add would be also adding the crusaders cross, Maltese cross, cross patte and much more as possibilities for village logo
( I want to rp as order of malta)
But ALSO
It would make sense if the player became a knight because of the fact it would fit into mechanics well. We still would pay taxes and such
The game takes place in Poland around 1080
Well considering the fact that idea of "knights" came from Ancient Rome and knighthood existed at that period. I do support the idea of title Knight in the game.
However.. I'm not the most educated on this matter, but it's my understanding that knights at that time were basically well armed cavalry men. It wasn't hereditary title that gives elevated social status.
During the period of the game. It's more like you had to groom your heir to be first knight in the family. Also we would have to have religion present in the game. Maybe have faith and knight skill trees. In order to get it fit games timeline. Idea of knightly behavior comes from religious orders.. I believe.. am I right?
Knights with higher social status were established around 1200... ? Correct me if I'm wrong
Yes it can be hereditary, but also not always. The rule goes only a knight can make another knight so for example if you do well in combat or do a great deed it can be rewarded for your great service
Or duration of service ig. It wasn’t always combat either, people have been rewarded knighthood for many things even administrative,
Knights have been around since the Romans. Knights throughout history haven’t always had “high social status”
Knights of modest means were actually more common than the very rich and wealthy knights
Most knights swore an oath to a lord
And the king
To which century's are you referring to. Knight in a year 1080 had very different position in society's compared to year 1480.
