Right now stone hoes are accessable only when you get the smithy. But when you unlock the smithy you also have access to copper so you never use the stone hoe. The stone hoe can be available in another building that you have access earlier than the smithy or move it so you can make it in hand as you can with the sickle.

agreed, other stone tools are available from quick craft (such as stone axes and stone knives) so it makes sense to have a quick craft stone hoe
personally i still get the smithy to craft stone hoes though lol as i find it faster to supply stone hoes for the farm sheds since smithies take ages to smelt ore 😆

I have never used stone hoes because I go from wood to copper. Did only realise today that there was stone hoes available😅
