Allow us to drop quest items as decor

Please allow us to drop quest items as decor. Most items that are quest related, can never leave inventory, even after the quest is done. Allow us to use these items as decorations, like the rolled up bandit map or the gold ring from Ostoya.

If items that are still active can be included, it could either be with a toggle or a warning before dropping the item.

This works for me (for completely non-deco reasons lol)
They stay in inventory - while taking up no weight space but it is the principle of "less clutter" mkay 🤣 - forever
I would love to be able to drop them in a river or lake for OCD reasons of "clearing out" my inventory of these now useless items aye

You may not be able to drop them as items, but I believe I have been able to transfer them to the chest in my house before... Perhaps I should double check. I didn't do that in my current game but I think I did it in a different save.

Hey Kaitlyn, after reading this I was interested and decided to test this (as happens with me alot rofl)
I tried all the different House chests and all the other Building chests (like the Barn/Smithy/Storages and the animal building ones including the sacks etc) - they all don't have the tab for these items available aye
I also made a collection of Containers (none allowed) and tried the permanent abandoned structures storages and the temporary ones that despawn at season change too (none allowed either)
Hopefully that helps you not spend too much time looking into this for me lol, but if you do find a way plz let me know aye

Well, I am sorry for wasting your time then! I should have double-checked first before writing that. I really thought I had been able to go to the specialty items in my inventory and move them over at some point... If when I check I can find how that might have happened, I will let you know

Another one of these items, although not stricly a quest item, would be the keys used to unlock cages in bandit camps.
I tried taking one to my village (not having unlocked the cage), dropped it on a chest and the next day it was gone. 🥹
