I think it would be cool to assign a person to do your laundry and watch your kids so your wife can get back to work. Maybe you put some low durability clothes in your home chest and later they have a higher durability because they were washed. They could also teach your kids some skills like (diplomacy etc.) by reading books with them. They could cook food that you leave in your chest. Run errands and chores for you to piastovia (just an idea). It gives more use to the decorations that you cant use, and adds a reason for the fourth bed in some cases. We could even have it be a diplomacy apprenticeship for teens.

It sounds like a different game, sorry. 🤷‍♀️

We don't have any home work to do - no dish washing, no dusting, no cleaning windows, no changing diapers.

We have no laundry (If you want your clothes to be mendable through washing them, that would be a different suggestion).

We already have a thread about kids: #1111341331193790534 message (although I think it is perfectly right the way it is now) and kids can do apprenticeships from the age of 14, so they get their skills there.

Reading books - what books? Another different suggestion? But books were out of reach for peasants at that time, where even in nobility books were very rar and extremely expensive. Each book was handwritten at that time and a unique treasure.

For the food in your chest: Either it is so early in game, that there is no problem roasting some meat yourself. If it is too much, make use of the game options - you can change them whenever you like, so you can roast 10000 meat in 10 sec (don't tell me, that is too long or too many clicks lol) and go back in your game options right after that. Or later in game you can build a kitchen (but yes, I know, people tend to do the cooking themselves, because NPCs are so increadably slooooowwww, but that's a different problem).

We have no errands to run other than "handing in" quests and paying taxes in spring - if you want your quests handed in by NPCs: different suggestion. The taxes can already be paid by your NPC wife/husband.

Apprentenceship for teens is already possible from the age of 14 of the kids.

So the only thing left is: "Give us an NPC for making us feel more important" - for our "prestige" - as a job.
